We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely incredible — truly worth every bit. The service went above and beyond from start to finish. Whether it was the ladies making coffee greeting us with big smiles or the cleaning staff who took great care of our room while being so friendly whenever we saw them, everyone made us feel so welcome. The rooms are a bit outdated but still very comfortable and clean, definitely not a downside considering everything else. One of the highlights was how wonderfully they treated our little daughter — it made our stay even more special. The food and drinks were fantastic and reasonably priced compared to other options on the island, which was a pleasant surprise. Honestly, we can’t think of a single person during our entire stay who didn’t deliver incredible service. We loved it so much, this will definitely be a yearly trip for us!

The Royal Hawaiian earns two stars purely for its excellent location, beautiful historic lobby, and well-maintained grounds. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The pool is very small, parking is inconvenient, and there’s only one coffee shop, where you’ll almost always find 10+ people waiting in line. The rooms are extremely dated. I’ve stayed at Holiday Inns with the same level of finish and amenities. Everything in the room feels cheap, except for the towels, which were surprisingly good quality. Dining and bar options are very limited for a hotel of this caliber. The gym machines were mostly out of order during my stay and even after mentioning it to the manager twice, nothing was resolved. Each time I was told that a contractor has been up contacted, but the issue wasn’t with the equipment itself; it was an electrical problem, which on-site maintenance could have addressed. Both times, the manager seemed unaware or uninterested in checking. Overall, the property trades entirely on its name and location. The service, facilities, and room quality fall far short of what you’d expect from a hotel in this price range.

Stephanie Santos and her team are exceptional! My wife and I enjoyed our first visit to Hawaii and the Royal Hawaiian. The history, property, and beach access truly make this place a must if you’re planning to visit Oahu. There’s easy access to shops, restaurants, and bars. I absolutely love the charm and history of the “Pink Palace.” While the rooms and facilities are very clean, they are a bit dated—but honestly, that only adds to the unique charm and vibe of this 100-year-old building. The Mai Tai Restaurant & Bar is amazing. The signature Royal Hawaiian Mai Tai is phenomenal, and if you’re a burger fan, the double smash burger is an absolute must!

We booked 5 night vacation through Costco travel. The hotel give us a corner room, which has a big walk-in closet and a coat closet beside the door, and the room is spacious. The bathroom is a little smaller compared with the room size, but very good shower experience. Our room has two pink thermo bottles for you to get water in the lobby area, and you can bring the bottle home. The service personnel I met are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has easy access to the beach, and Royal Hawaiian center is very close which has food court and some good restaurants.

The Royal Hawaiian is a historic gem in the heart of Waikiki in Honolulu. The service was second to none; everyone was friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms are available in the circa 1927 historic wings of the hotel or in the 1969 erected tower, with all rooms overlooking the beach and ocean..On premises restaurants offer a variety of food and drinks. It's a place you have to experience, even if pricey.

Staying over the weekend that happened to be Halloween turned out to be really fun. The Royal Hawaiian is right in the middle of Waikiki. We were even able to take my grandson trick or treating in the hotel! Everything here is good. The bell staff greeted us in a friendly manner and took our bags when we arrived. The wait for our room was not long even though we arrived at noon. The historic wing suite ,although it did not have an ocean view, was large and very comfortable. The view is of the beautiful grounds and is lovely. We absolutely love the historic wing and make sure to book it. We had turn down service and frankly found every staff member from wait staff at breakfast to the beach boy setting up our umbrella to be helpful and really showing us Aloha. In my experience its not accidental when staff are all friendly (or not!) as its the culture of the establishment. They are doing something right here. From the grand building that is the pink palace to the check in, bakery, housekeeping and every detail we will continue to stay here and tell our friends.

Room was very small. Titanium upgrade to an “ocean view” room, was just a small room with a single window with side view of ocean. I had 3 nights booked, but after 2 nights, I was checked out for some reason. Had to go to reception after 2 nights to figure out what was going on. They didn’t seem to know what happened. I had my reservation confirmation showing 3 nights booked. Restaurant staff was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed breakfast every morning.

Overall this was a good experience but the hotel rides on the wings of location and fame. The service was on tier with being a 5 star establishment (great room service, thoughtful amenities, helpful concierge) but otherwise the value was not proportional to the price. We stayed here after four seasons Ko Olina so my review might have been better if I didn't have that to compare to. It may be the nature of being located in a city but the rooms were smaller with closer proximity to adjacent balconies (the diamond head view was more cramped compared to the ocean view at the four seasons). There were no screen doors and more noise during the night. There were less activities to do at the hotel (beach access was minimal with a few feet of sand- you can get access to Waikiki beach by a 5-10 min walk but the narrow beach road was under construction. They had one large pool that seemed to be shared with kids(FS had an infinity pool, access to 4 semi private lagoons, smaller children's pool, and large gym pool). Here the day life was average. The evening offered a good selection of choices- live music performances at seaside restaurants (though you get that at FS too), as well as a jazz club which stood out. There are more shops on the premises compared to FS. Overall this was a good experience but not exceptional. At 200 more per night compared to an equal tier room at FS Ko Olina, the value didn't meet expectations. This hotel also does not participate in The edit or FHR which FS did.

This was the second hotel we stayed at in Hawaii and such a difference from our first. GREAT hotel - a solid 4/5 all round. Really attentive friendly staff, rooms are wonderful. Service is good. There's a variety of food/drink options here. The food itself is good but not amazing, one spicy dish anywhere on any menu would be incredible (but that's just personal taste). We tried a variety of different drinks with mixed results, but overall really enjoyed it all. Also, visit the hotels bakery... SO GOOD. The only slight downside to this hotel is the pool area is not the best. It feels really cramped and because of the proximity to the beach, many guests bring sand into the pool. Not ideal. It also closes fairly early. Location is right in the heart of everything, very walkable to most things. Overall, great spot! A good hotel, done well. Not 5 star but not a bad option at all.

We love staying here when we can. ATMOSPHERE: The hotel isn't big or grand but just feels fresh, relaxing, and exclusive. The foliage isn't overdone, just simple and well-manicured. CHECK IN: You're always greeted in the most professional way. You confirm your stay at the front desk, then the receptionist immediately walks you to your room and finishes up the check in there (payment & paper signing.) There's usually no line when we check in, which is a nice thing to see when you just want to get to your room and relax; a very nice touch. ROOM: They haven't been renovated in a while but are still clean & crisp. Decor is very simple - most everything a light color or shade of white. We're normally presented with a fruit & cheese platter on our first night. A box of chocolates is complimentary. We've had great views of the pool, Pacific & Diamond Head. BATHROOM: Big & spacious but there's only one sink. Separate tub and glass shower. All the amenities you can think of, and then some, are there for you. OVERALL: Pricey. The only gripe about the room is how the closet acts as a divider between the bedroom & bathroom and is accessible by non-locking sliding doors on either side. Okay if you're a couple but uncomfortable if you're with friends or business partners.

This hotel looks absolutely gorgeous! We visited the restaurant during sunset with lovely Hawaiian dance and music. They didn't appear to have direct beach access as that part of the beach was closed off, but they would have ocean view rooms, and easy beach access next to the hotel (better than living opposite the road like many Waikiki hotels)

Such a beautiful venue! I was here for a conference and everything was nice - conference room, refreshments, and valet parking. Be sure to bring cash for tip, I usually carry $10-$20 when I go to the Halekulani. This one time I had $7 for tip and they were smiling - anything counts. Also, if you need to use the restroom, go to the main floor restrooms as the restroom in the second floor only has one stall. Lunch was great and efficient too! We had one hour allocated for lunch and finished in 50 minutes. Highly recommend this location for conferences.

Amazing hotel! The rooms were spotless and huge. We had a beautiful ocean view and could hear the waves all night long. Bed was comfortable, plenty of towels which I love. Only negative was the couch bed mattress could use an upgrade. It was very thin and you could feel all the springs. Pool was clean and the staff by the pool were friendly and would set you up every day with chairs and towels. Everyone who works here is so kind and helpful. Also, perfect location!! Easily accessible to lots of attractions and sights. We would definitely stay here again.

Family and I attended the Sunday brunch. The service at the venue, front desk, and valet was impeccable. All employees were professional, kind, and willing to ensure that our stay on their property was memorable.

This is an amazing hotel village in a perfect spot in Waikiki. Me and my family of 5 are having such a fun and memorable experience so far! However, if you are staying for more than 1 week I do NOT recommend staying here because there are no Laundry Rooms or Microwaves anywhere for guest use. We are used to staying in smaller rooms so the sleeping arrangements were ok for us. We originally stayed in Tapa tower and the room was very modern and felt clean and updated. Our balcony overlooked the pool and at night we could enjoy the live music from our room. After a week in, we moved over to Diamond Head tower for an extra bed and a little more room. They did tell us do not even think about buying a microwave to bring into the room because they will kick us out 🤣🥸(they read our minds) Diamond Head had an older feel to it but the balcony was bigger and the beautiful view of Waikiki Beach made it acceptably awesome. We were told by the desk clerk that there is a laundromat down the street but not to use it in the evening. There is not a lot of parking in Waikiki and the parking garage here at Hilton is expensive if you are renting a car. Personally, I was prepared to do laundry on our 3 week vacation but I don't want to go to a laundromat to do it. I was not prepared for that answer. Next time, we will look for an extended stay hotel but just wanted to state this because with all the beautiful amenities and services on the premises, to not have a laundry room or microwave seems kind of silly if you want families to come back and thoroughly enjoy for any length of time.

Our stay at the resort was truly unforgettable, and we owe a huge part of that to Jackie H. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Her kindness and dedication made our trip so much better — we really felt taken care of. The resort itself is breathtaking. The iconic Rainbow Tower alone is worth the visit — it’s stunning, inside and out. Every corner of the property feels like paradise. From the views to the service to the overall atmosphere, everything was top-notch. Most importantly, the value is incredible. Every dollar we spent was worth it and more. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and already planning our next stay. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect getaway. We stayed at the Kalia Tower for two weeks. The over all experience was great for the room & Village. The carpet was very rough in the hallway & room, also the wallpaper was starting to come off the walls. It would seem that it could be updated every few years given that we had to pay an extra 140 dollars per night just for resort fees & parking. The resort fees include DVD’s which I thought was odd with today’s technology for streaming. In two weeks I only saw one person using the DVD kiosk. I didn’t really understand what we were getting for the resort fees, It was like paying for the room twice. The food in the Village was delicious with a lot of options at the different restaurants we tried, however there was no microwave in the room to reheat the leftovers from the overpriced food you get. It would have been a nice touch to have someone working at the front desk at the hotel lobby. There was a woman setting at the front desk but she let me know when I asked for towels & coffee that she didn’t work there & I needed to call over to the main tower. It does have elevator security room key access but it isn’t working. I saw a few people confused by this. When I asked about a laundry room, I was told that we had to go offsite. This isn’t a good option given how many homeless are around the area and the amount of traffic with the lack of parking. The pools where nice but could of used more time cleaning them in the morning. I didn’t understand the towel situation at the pools. The first week was great you got your towels, used them & then dropped them back off. The second week someone had a crazy ideal to make people scan room keys for a couple of towels, then if they weren’t return it would be a 20 dollar fee. Now they had no way of knowing if you returned the towels since you just put them into a big cart when you left the pool. Even the employees didn’t understand it. They even have a cabinet at one pool that you open the door after scanning your room key, take out however many towels you need with a sign stating you will be charged 20 dollars per towel if not returned to a towel cart. No tracking of how many you get or how many you return. One lady was stressed because she was worried about a tracking chip in the towel 😊. It just seems a little much given you are already paying room & resort fees, only to be threatened with a 20 dollar penalty when you are on vacation for a 2 dollar towel.

We ate at Bali Oceanfront for the first time. We asked to be seated front and center to see the pawns and thy grated our request with no problem. Bonnie our server was such a pleasure. Very knowledgeable and so kind. She recommended the exotic cheesecake at the end and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing fancy dinner. Would recommend the place and Bonnie to everyone.

What a fantastic team at the front desk! A huge shout-out to Nancy and Austin at the front desk! They absolutely made our stay. They are not only incredibly welcoming but also brilliant problem-solvers. Every request was handled with a smile and a "can-do" attitude. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The Hilton is lucky to have such a wonderful duo! We can't wait to come back, thanks to them!

after a long week at sea on the pride of America, we were able to secure an early booking at the twin Finn, which was less than disappointing. I phoned my travel agent promptly who directed us to the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort Waikiki where an early check in was at 12:30 we were able to meet with the front desk attendant Florie she was more than amazing. She upgraded us from the back building to oceanfront. I’m not sure how she did it, but I was very happy. She did ! - a very lovely lady and lovely room. The beds are good and the room is clean and we have a beautiful view Florie thank you thank you thank you thank you for making this a memorable last trip for my cousins and my 97-year-old mother and myself. We enjoyed the food and the view. But I wasn't expecting that my food will taste familiar as what we have back in my home country. I ordered Pan seared Kona Kampachi and it tasted like "paksiw" (isda) 😅🤣😬😆. It was an enjoyable taste and because I love paksiw na isda but for $48 for that small quantity I wouldn't go back! Lol. But oh well, you're not only at Hilton dining in,.. you are in HAWAi'i ! 😝😆👌 The whole premises of the hotel is very engaging and lots of things to do.

We had an incredible experience staying in a Diamond Head Ocean View King room in the tower. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and we loved just sitting on our balcony to enjoy it and listen to the waves. The room was extremely clean, modern, spacious, and comfortable. The main floor of the hotel was stunning with high ceilings and an open-air concept, offering great views and easy access to the beach. The staff at the front desk, restaurants, bars, etc. were all very kind and helpful. We loved breakfast at the Veranda.

Absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived to the property we were greeted by the Valet/bellman with a welcoming Aloha, the guys were so helpful, taking our luggage in for us. We were checked in by a very nice front desk person . We stayed 6 days and everyone from the pool attendant to the bartender and waiters were fantastic! The staff really made our stay unforgettable. The hotel itself is a beautiful property. Sitting right on the beach was amazing! The rooms are on the small side but we didn’t mind it too much, the beds are comfortable and very clean, housekeeping came in every day and cleaned up. There is a refrigerator in the room but no microwave , again no big deal for us . 10 out of 10 property !

This hotel was one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at. From checking in to checking out, our entire stay was very beautiful and super smooth with everything we had to do. We received a beautiful gift upon arrival, and some after sun lotion. The hotel was informed that we were celebrating our engagement in Oahu, and they sent us a complementary bottle of champagne delivered to our room. The location of the hotel is very convenient, you can walk to everywhere in Waikiki, all the shops and the restaurants are super close by as well as the beach. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good stay in Waikiki. Only downside was that the overnight parking was super expensive.

Currently vacationing at the Westin Moana Surfrider. Booked two connecting Diamond Head oceanview rooms for the week. Hotel is absolutely beautiful. Worth the expense. The views from the 15th floor are amazing. And staff are very friendly and helpful. My only critique, and the reason why I am not giving the resort 5 stars, is that the hotel is not very ADA friendly when it comes to the actual rooms. I was told there are only a couple ADA rooms in the Tower wing, and they only have partial ocean views facing the outrigger hotel. My mom is 86 years old. Should not have to sacrifice beautiful views in order to get a shower with handrails. This was very dissappointing. My mom also uses a walker, but exercises every day. The only way to access the gym is via an escalator. Otherwise, staff told us we have to wait for a security guard to escort us using a non traditional route. The hotel was just updated, I do not understand the decision to exclude such a large segment of the population.

Attached my suite voucher and upgraded to ocean front suite on the fifth floor. The room is extraordinary and super clean and modern. My wife and I loved the room, as well as the decoration and design of the main lobby. The overall stay is super good. 9/10 experience. The only flaw is the breakfast. The selections stay the same across our three day stay, which makes it a bit boring. But the staffs are super helpful though.

Celebrated my grandmothers 88th birthday here. Everyone was so incredible, especially Cristeta from housekeeping and Brian C. They both deserve raises as they treated us so well. We will be back. Great location, perfect view. We thank you for the hospitality!

While we stayed at the older building, the hotel is just full of charm and beautifully maintained. We were surprised how many people walk by that aren’t staying at the hotel for pictures or to sit on the rocking chairs, and how clean it was still kept up despite the high traffic. Chris at check in was very nice, attentive and sincerely ready to help. The food was delicious in the evenings at the beach bar. No umbrellas or chairs are provided unless you are an elite member and given what surrounding hotels/resorts in the same price bracket offer, we do wish we had something more to use for shade. Still it was an unforgettable stay and would love to come back once the renovation is fully completed. Can’t imagine how much more beautiful it’ll be!

🐚This is the review you’re looking for if you’re planning a trip to Honolulu. We’re a young Filipino couple, and this was our first time in Hawaii. The view from our room was unbelievable — we were lucky to get a high ocean-view room, and we could even see sea turtles swimming right from our balcony. It honestly made the trip feel magical. The front desk was so sweet and even surprised my husband with a small birthday gift, which really meant a lot. But as much as we loved the view, a few moments made us feel a little out of place. At the adult pool, we were looked at differently because we didn’t have our wristbands yet, and later at the activities desk, we were met with someone who clearly didn’t want to help us. It was awkward enough that we just walked away. Still, the view and location are hard to beat — right by the water, close to everything, and easy to get picked up for tours. I’d recommend it about 60%, mostly for the ocean view and location. I just wish every guest, especially those like us who don’t always stay at fancy hotels, were treated with the same warmth as the welcome we first received. 🌺

My husband & I stayed here from September 23 to September 28th for our honeymoon. We loved it! We booked an Infinity Oceanfront Room floors 20-27. I did not realize this until right now as I am writing this review, but I wonder if we were upgraded as our room was on the 30th floor. The view was UNBELIEVABLE & did not seem real! We had a perfect view of Diamond Head. You could not see sunset from the room though. When we checked into the room, the front desk gave us both leis and a box of crackers & jams, which I thought was nice. Here are my other thoughts on the resort: PROS: - the view - there is an infinity pool that is adults only & close to the pool bar - it's right across from the Royal Hawaiian Center, which is a large outdoor mall with a food court, restaurants & shops - checkout was easy - you get bracelets to use a the room key - getting an uber was never an issue - it was right by a parking garage where we were picked up for a couple excursions (snorkling with Hanauma Bay Snorkeling Adventures & pickup for Kualoa Ranch) CONS: - while there are several elevators (possibly 8 but i don't remember the exact amount), it seemed like only a few were actually working. & some of the ones that were working, made noises which made me feel like they weren't that safe - I'm not sure if it was the position of the TV, but we had trouble using the TV remote - the patio door to our laini was hard to open & close - there was no communication to us that there is a water dispenser & ice machine on each floor & not on the main level I would 10000% stay here again if i wanted to stay in Waikiki the next time I am in Hawaii. "Partial ocean view" room was not worth the extra cost over other room options. 90% of the view was a roof, backs of buildings and a parking deck. I would've rather had city view. We did try to switch rooms a few days into our trip, but they didn't have availability. Great overall resort location in relation to Waikiki beach and downtown. Elevators were quick. Parking deck was crowded as they allow public and hotel guest parking here. $55/day for hotel parking. Be aware of daily resort fees added to final bill. Ours worked out to about $100/day added on the original hotel cost. There are 2 coffee shops, but the one outside the front lobby was better. Great coffees, smoothies and smoothie bowls. Also have baked goods. RumFire restaurant was nothing special. Location was nice, ocean view. Food and drinks 3/5. As a couple traveling without our kids on this trip, the option of the adults only infinity pool right on the ocean side was so nice! Beautiful sunset views from anywhere on the ocean side of hotel. Service was good. All staff were very nice. Room was clean. We would stay here again, but wouldn't pick "partial ocean view" (forgot to take a photo).

Good Hotel. Ideal location and good amenities right there and around. The elevators are little "merry-go-round"! You'll see when you get there. But other than that good hotel. Great gym with pots of good equipment avaliable and latest cardio machine.

Great location. Oceanfront, 2 pools, jacuzzi, and close to restaurants and shops. Room is updated modern, clean. We had an ocean view from the 9th floor. Would be nice if they had a breakfast option but there are plenty of places within walking distance.

This hotel is clean and updated. The staff is kind cheerful and accommodating. The location is key. If you are not familiar with the location please take a moment to do so.High end stores and outlet malls are either there or a very short walk. The rooms are a little pricey but good value for money.

ATMOSPHERE: The single tower is so big & imposing upon entry. This is a very busy hotel and full of Japanese tourists. The lobby is modern despite the look of the building. There's a convenient and free "electronics area" complete with charging stations and counter space for laptops adjacent to the front desk. There are several shops, including a Cookie Corner (a popular little Hawaii bakery usually found in malls), and a pretty popular restaurant that turns into a nightclub called Rum Fire. The lobby level elevator bank can be a hectic, subway-like experience. CHECK IN/OUT: A friend we were with checked us in so I can't review that experience. We did the checkout on the TV which was a good thing because the lobby was jam packed on that particular Sunday morning. ROOM: Actually it was a suite, #1702 to be exact. It's the furthest room from the central elevator bank but so worth the walk! The single, no frills door opens up to a huge living & dining room with a big, over-sized daybed, 6 seat dining table, couches, flat TV, mini refrigerator, bar and private balcony that literally hangs over the sand of Waikiki Beach and overlooks the Halekulani Hotel, Pacific Ocean, and a sliver of a city view. Private because there are no balconies on either side as it's located at the corner of the building. We saw an awesome sunset, the sounds of the surf, and listened to the free Hawaiian music that came from the Halekulani next door in the afternoon. The single bedroom has 2 comfortable double beds, and a balcony with a drop dead gorgeous view of Diamond Head, the ocean, and hotel infinity pool. The dual air conditioners worked really well. Everything was very clean. The TV in the bedroom wasn't working but got fixed the next day. No big deal as there was another one in the living room. BATHROOM: There are 2 sinks, closet, and all the usual amenities. The toilet & shower/tub are separated from the rest of the bathroom which was convenient for the 3 of us. The shower water pressure was weak but tolerable and the drain was quick. Housekeeping didn't skimp on restocking the amenities the next day which was nice. POOL: While we didn't utilize it, it sure looked swanky from our balcony. It's a small, tiled infinity pool with a few lounge chairs in the water that overlooks the Pacific. BEACH: It's pretty non-existent but walk a short way east towards the Royal Hawaiian and you'll be on sandy Waikiki Beach. SERVICE: The only person I came into contact with was the male parking garage attendant who was friendly and professional. OVERALL: Very nice place to stay and conveniently located near the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and the middle of Waikiki.

My company held an event here - and the staff were absolutely amazing! From prior planning to the actual night of the event, everything went extremely smooth! Joy Ohata was my POC prior to the event and she was exceptional. Vanessa, Kyle and Dean were also wonderful. The entire staff were accommodating and very pleasant to work with. The rooms were also large, clean and very beautiful!

I haven't officially stayed here as a guest, yet. But my family has come here on many occasions for breakfast or lunch at their plumeria beach house resturaunt. It's a beautiful location where you can see the ocean, as well as when you're done eating, you're free to roam the area and see the beautiful architecture and structure of the hotel. They also have Dolphins here that you get to see. Which they are quite playful. Just...for me, I have my own personal views on this. But beside that, none the less and regardless, it's how they get attention as a tourist attraction. And these Dolphins have sprayed me with water with water on occasion as I would watch them, of course they don't do it purposefully, but as a small playful gesture to some guests who just kinda stand there watching. But the food here is incredible and of good quality. 👍 Good for parties as well, cuz we hosted a party of about 20 and they helped with providing one choice bentos for everyone, which were surprisingly well catered. And good for birthdays as well. ^_^ So please check out the Kahala Hotel and Resort, as it is a beautiful area and their beach area is quite nice as well. :3

This place is incredibly charming. We had a wonderful stay. What makes this place extra special is the service. The staff is very attentive, kind and accommodating. We couldn't believe how well the staff took care of us - as simple as cleaning and organizing our rooms for us while we were out and about. One of the best hotels we have stayed at. Also this hotel is very quiet. It's tucked away from the city. Our beach was also quiet and not crowded at all.

We loved our stay at The Kahala Hotel! The property is stunning and so peaceful. Our ocean view room was perfect with breathtaking sunrise and sunset views, and I bet the golf course views were amazing too. The food was great, and the breakfast buffet was unmatched. Plumeria Beach House was our favorite spot with delicious food and beautiful indoor-outdoor seating right by the private Beach. Seeing the dolphins up close was interesting but also a little heartbreaking. They are such smart, social animals, and the swimming space isn’t big or deep, with their backs exposed most of the time. It felt like such a small space for them. Overall, the property feels posh yet relaxed, the staff were amazing, and the turn-down service was such a nice touch. Great stay barring the dolphin enclosure!

We spent a resort day at The Kahala Hotel & Resort and it was absolutely amazing! The pool and beach setup with private chairs facing the beautiful ocean made for the perfect relaxing day. The food was delicious, the drinks were refreshing, and every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and welcoming. While we didn’t stay overnight, if we were to plan a full vacation in Hawaii, this would definitely be the place. A special bonus was watching the dolphins with their trainers throughout the day—it was such a unique and wonderful experience to see. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable time in Honolulu! Thank you for an amazing day!

This is a great hotel. I stayed for a week. However I was really bothered that 6 dolphins are kept captive here. They have never known a moment of freedom in their lives (they range in age from 17 to 40 years). In the wild, these majestic and intelligent animals swim for miles and dive deep and live in complex social structures in their pods. Here they have none of that, instead they jump for fish and pose for photographs with tourists. This is no way to treat animals.

Wonderful hotel with fantastic service. Hawaii is a pricey destination, but the Kahala delivers on service, quality, location and overall experience. I wish we would have stayed longer… It‘s the small details that count for me when doing luxury travel. The Kahala left no wish unanswered. The beach is a dream, great for snorkeling too. And of course the Dolphins are magical. We upgraded to Ocean View, 10th floor and were able to see them from there too. It was just perfect.

Beautiful hotel out of the main Waikiki strip, but still close enough to walk down to enjoy. The hotel itself was stunning from the inside and the views were great of the ocean and rest of Waikiki. We were able to get chairs and umbrellas most days, and the beach wasn’t busy at all. The service of the staff and valet were amazing. Would stay here again if travelling to Waikiki.

The location is great. The people are amazing. Unfortunately. Not all rooms are created equal. Rooms and bathrooms could use a big update. One side of the hotel looks only at the parking lot with no view of the beach. Just be warned that many rooms and bathrooms are not updated. I look forward to another opportunity when the hotel has a full upgrade.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, hands down. This is NOT in the heart of Waikiki, which we personally LOVED. It was easy to find free street parking overnight (read the signs!), and if not, the valet is very easy and accommodating. All of the staff (front desk, Hau Tree Restaurant, house keeping, coffee shop) were PHENOMENAL; everyone was kind, friendly, and helpful. We also had a mistake where we were overcharged for parking, but a quick call to the front desk helped to resolve it in only a few minutes. I would 100% stay here again, and would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel in great location. Excellent staff. Comfortable beds, though on the soft side. nice fluffy towels and good showers. Very clean. Provide beach towels and chairs. Restaurant doesn't open before 8 am, so not good for a quick breakfast before heading out for the day. Is getting slightly tatty in places - furniture in room, carpet in elevators, but not enough yet to negatively impact.

We had a great stay-thank you! Just a few suggestions to enhance the experience: -If you are charging a resort fee, it would be great if it included higher-quality beach chairs and umbrellas. The beach gets quite hot in the afternoons, so better shade options would really help. -Consider providing a TV channel guide, either via a QR Code or a printed list in the room.

The location was very pretty and the staff were great. Very helpful and attentive. That being said, I would NEVER recommend this hotel because the amenities were just awful, especially for a nicer hotel. There were often no chairs and no beach umbrellas, both of which are pretty standard at *any* beach hotel. The lovely beach was littered with random crappy broken umbrellas from Costco, like the one the staff loaned us because they said they didn't have anything else. It was so hard to secure a chair that we kept the one they could find for us in our car!!! The beach looked like a junky public beach, definitely not like a nice Hawaii resort that advertises a nice aesthetic. There was also limited seating anywhere on the property. There wasn't even a place to sit and have a cold drink in the heat. I ended up sitting out on the dirty steps next to the hotel with a takeaway paper cup from the bar because they told me the restaurant wasn't open and even when open it was only for reservations. We'd never recommend this hotel because of the lack of these very basic resort features. And to be charged a resort fee on top of that! For what? Towels - for the pool that they also don't have? Really ridiculous.

We stayed here for 6 days. The initial part of the stay was great. There is a mandatory resort fee of $40 a day. They don’t educate you on what’s included. It’s spotty at best. Some people report having breakfast included in the hotel restaurant. The location is phenomenal. They charge $50 a night for valet parking. The last 2 days were HORRIBLE. The hotel water system went out and we didn’t have hot water for 2 days. At check-out we were asked how our stay was and I mentioned we didn’t have water and hot water and the clerk replied “oh no” then proceeded to print our bill out. This place doesn’t care if your stay is satisfactory or not because they already got your money. Best bet is to stay elsewhere when visiting Honolulu

Our stay at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort was just grand. From the quick check in process to the simple check out. Of course, everything in between was perfect. We were lucky to be upgraded to a partial ocean view on the 16th floor. Our room was quite large and spotless. Getting to use elevator "D" was quite accommodating. All staff members were polite and very helpful. Having the free breakfast/lunch buffets at Dukes and The Hula Grill was a big plus. Having the beach and ocean just right outside of the resort was so convenient. Everything we needed was right at our doorstep. Every time was stay at the Outrigger, we renew our vows. The ceremony was simple, yet very personal, even though we were with several other couples. We look forward to returning to this wonderful resort.

We just stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort and had a wonderful experience. I told the reservation agent that it was my husband's 60th birthday and when we got to our room (oceanfront) it had been upgraded to a jacuzzi room! That was a surprise and a welcome feature to have after a long day of swimming and exploring the island. We were on the 11th floor and the lively music from Duke's downstairs was almost unnoticeable when we closed the balcony doors. Housekeeping was friendly and thorough and everything was in working order. We've been to Waikiki several times and the oceanfront view, convenient breakfast downstairs at the Hula Grill and beach right out the back of the hotel made for a perfect stay.

This hotel is perfect.....easy access to the beach and local stores with an unbeatable ocean view!! It was beautifully decorated and clean. It was steps away from the shuttle bus stop and a short walk to the trolley our travel plan used. The ocean view from our room was spectacular! The staff was always pleasant and courteous. The food in the restaurants were outstanding! Would highly recommend!!!

This is my favorite hotel on Waikiki Beach. I've stayed here many times since 1989. We upgraded to an Ocean View room which had a beautiful view. It's worth noting that Duke's has entertainment at night and it can be loud if you're Ocean front or on a lower floor. Duke's and Hula Grill are both great restaurants on site, but can draw big crowds. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back.

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay here. The hotel staff were all amazing. They were professional, friendly, and always willing to go out of their way to ensure we were satisfied with our stay. At check in, we had an issue with our third party reservation and Henry (Guest Services) spent nearly two hours trying to help us fix it and never lost patience. The 3rd party error didn’t get resolved, but Henry made up for it and that first impression made our whole vacation. When we tried the cultural activities, Kekoa, went out of his way and spent a great deal of time discussing Hawaiian culture with us and I am sure told us things that we wouldn’t have learned about the deep culture elsewhere. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well kept. Housekeeping was super friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here in the future.

Loved this place, me and the WHOLE FAM spent 10 days here and it was just great! POOL WAS BOMB!! I loved the poolside service the kids were ADDICTED to ordering all the virigin pinacoladas they could get, me and the wife were just having a grand time on the beach with cocktails in hand!! Whoo!! PRO TIP one of yall got to wake up at 5am to go get first pick on beach/pool chairs though man! That was quite the adventure. We had an ocean front view and I still remember it so clearly, sunset was always beautiful, the restaurant below always had nice music playing for ambiance. For reference I was in room 325. Best spending of my damn money. We didn't have to anywhere else but our hotel room honestly. TAKE ALL MY MONEY. Anyways, definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful 10 night stay here, rooms and bed very cosy and comfortable. Nice ocean view from the room. Lifts were one major flaw, sometimes waiting 5+ minutes because of the system they have in place, remedied this with staff guiding us to the slightly hidden staircase to utilise! Would definitely stay again :)

Based on the positive reviews, we chose to stay at this property during our Hawaii vacation in June 2025. The hotel enjoys a great location, though it’s built on a relatively compact site. Our room was well-appointed, offering a partial ocean view from the balcony. Room service was prompt, and the overall ambiance was lively and vibrant. However, a few aspects must be looked into. The noise from service trucks parked at the front corner of the property was quite disturbing. Additionally, despite the high room rates, guests are almost compelled to use valet parking, which is unreasonably expensive. We hope that during our next visit, there will be no truck noise and that parking will be more convenient. On a positive note, spotting seals nearby was a delightful bonus!

What an amazing hotel experience in oahu! Super close access to everything you could need in waikiki as well as access to the highway for the airport and other excursions. The beach access cant be beat and the restaurants on site are amazing, highly recommend monkeypod happy hour and Kani ka Pila lunch menu! The pool and hot tubs are perfect. The room was spacious and clean! Every part of our stay was great and the staff were overly nice and accommodating at all times. Figure out how to get that breakfast voucher, you wont regret it.

Incredible and beautiful resort! Location was fantastic with quick access to trolley stops, restaurants, and just "out of the way" enough where you felt like you were close enough to the excitement of Waikiki without being in the center of chaos. Beach access couldn't be better and there is a lovely park right next to the property if you need green space. Staff were all absolutely wonderful, from check-in through check-out. Cannot wait to stay here again!

Our host Joanna Lee was amazing she made our stay wonderful! She kept our room clean and is extremely kind! We had an oceanfront room with a beautiful view. The hotel is within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and activities. This property is right on the beach. Also is within walking distance of many other beaches. Parking is valet only @$60 a night. The valet staff is efficient and friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

Linens and towels were excellent. AC unit and mini fridge worked very well. Couple coffee shops available and restaurant is great! Elevators are quick. Stayed in Ocean Tower and had full view. Four stars only because small, in room trash cans fill quickly and often overflowed and baseboards and walls in shower room were a little neglected. (Not a big deal to most!) Wonderful live music daily.

What a fantastic visit to Waikiki! This was a family vacation, and the Reef didn't disappoint! First, the hotel, nearly brand new, always clean, has water refilling station and provides water bottles for your use, outstanding central location and the ROOMS.... Our room was exquisite!! We had a corner room with breathtaking views, we literally did not want to leave our room. It was a vacation simply sitting on the balcony (see view pictures). Next the housekeeping, our room assistant Joanna, was beyond helpful and attentive to all our needs, she was very friendly and always greeted us in the hallway. Then there's the front desk, as well as, the Voyager 47 Club personnel... exceeded our expectations. The fact that they would always remember us and our names, made us feel special. In particular, Rick was a standout! Always smiling, recalling our names and helped us with checking out, and went above and beyond! Then there was Ambrose, what a fabulous first impression when we checked in. Very polite, professional and willing to go above and beyond to ensure our visit was perfect. All in all, I have absolutely no negatives, we were absolutely thrilled with our decision to stay here and will come back soon! Thank you Outrigger, Ambrose, Rick and Joanna!!

Lovely resort very clean, located on the beach. Quieter than the other end of Waikiki, better beach as the water is deeper and there were so many giant turtles. I did use reef shoes but probably didnt really need them. Nice deep pool. Lots of sunshine. There was hawaiian music at night at the bar. My room was spotless. Good size with a small fridge for drinks and snacks. It was perfect for me I travelled alone and felt safe. It was a lazy holiday. I arrived stressed and left extremely relaxed. My husband and I stayed there for out honeymoon 35yrs ago. It is a older building refreshed. Air-conditioning wasn't great but they were working on that. I would definitely recommend outrigger reef. Good for families also.

Our stay at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki was very disappointing. The air conditioning in our first room was extremely loud and dirty, making it impossible to rest properly. Also the curtains were truly disgusting and we were absolutely shocked about the state of the room! We were also informed that repair work was scheduled to take place in our room the next day, sometime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. — an extremely inconvenient timeframe. You have no idea when someone might enter, and it’s quite uncomfortable not knowing if repair work on the bathroom pipes could start while you’re trying to shower or rest. Parking was another major issue. Although the hotel offers both self-parking and valet parking, all self-parking spaces were already full by 6 p.m. This meant that valet parking was the only option left — at a much higher rate of $85 instead of $60. That feels unreasonable for a hotel of this category. After filing a complaint, we were given a new room, which was acceptable — but the overall experience had already been ruined. The hotel itself looks very outdated and has clearly lost all of its former charm. This stay was at the end of our three-week trip, and we had started our journey at the Halepuna by Halekulani, also located on Waikiki Beach, where everything was absolutely wonderful. The difference in quality and service was remarkable. We will definitely not stay at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki EVER again.

Our family of four had two rooms and we were blown away by this place. I knew it would be nice, but it far exceeded my expectations! They upgraded us to partial ocean view rooms, and we had amazing views from our rooms! The rooms were very clean, large and with beautiful decor. We were celebrating my husband‘s birthday and they left many thoughtful treats and a bottle of champagne. The front desk woman at check-in (I wish I could remember her name) , was so sweet and helpful! It’s right across the road from the beach, but it’s such a simple walk. I actually can’t wait to come back! Absolutely loved it here!

Great hotel lots of accommodations. Very quiet excelsior the construction across the street in the back. They start at 6am. Plus lots of ambulances going up and down. Our time zone is earlier so getting up at 6 doesn’t bother us. Clean rooms housekeeping is amazing people. Friendly and accommodating. Lots of places to have breakfast. Great place after the hotel in the back is done.

The location of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki is absolutely perfect. You are right in the heart of everything, with Waikiki Beach just steps away and endless shopping and dining options right on the main street. As a Globalist on a complimentary night award stay, the free valet parking was a fantastic perk. It was incredibly convenient to call down a few minutes ahead, and the car was always ready for us when we got to the lobby. The Regency Club was another major highlight for us. Having access to breakfast and a wide variety of drinks almost 24/7 made our stay very comfortable and easy. The amenities are solid, with a nice pool, hot tub, gym, and complimentary towels and chairs for the beach. The only downside was the room itself. We didn't receive an upgrade to an ocean view room (though our friends traveling with us did). The main issue was the soundproofing, which is not the best. We could clearly hear conversations in the hallway and even from the next room. There was also a loud whistling sound from the wind at the balcony door, which was quite noisy at night. Overall, if you are a Globalist and manage your expectations about a room upgrade, this is a very solid choice due to the incredible location and valuable perks.

Overall very pleased with this resort. The location is amazing literally across the street from Waikiki Beach. The beds are comfortable and room size was surprisingly large for our family of four even with a pull out bed. The rooms are good but could use a few touch ups. We didn't use the pool but the free use of pool chairs for the beach was nice. Lastly the view from the room is amazing. We got the ocean view high floor and they put us on floor 25. Two things I didn't like. The AC in the room always seemed to struggle. We kept the temperature at 65 but it felt like 72 at night still. Also the parking is extremely expensive. Valet is $80 a day and self park is $65 so we opted for valet.

I specifically booked this Waikiki hotel because listings and reviews said they offered beach chairs. They do—but you have to pick them up on the 3rd floor, take an elevator and two escalators, and then carry them across the street. For a $60/day resort fee (with no umbrellas), the chairs should at least be on the ground level. The location is beautiful and close to everything, right across from the beach. But the hotel itself does not feel like a 4-star property. The elevators are strange and extremely slow—you can wait up to 5 minutes, and often have to ride all the way up to a high floor before it goes back down to the one you need. They’re noisy and would be a nightmare for anyone claustrophobic. We did not eat at the hotel because breakfast was $44 per person, and we easily found better, cheaper options nearby. Parking was also frustrating. We planned for valet at $70/night, but it ended up being $80, even though Expedia requires all updated fees to be posted. The room was outdated—old carpet, worn furniture, loud AC, and a basic bathroom that felt more like a motel. The toilet even started randomly bursting water. You can hear everything from outside, and there is loud daytime construction and nightly shows, making it hard to rest, especially with jet lag. The pool is tiny and looks more like something from an apartment complex than a 4-star resort. The staff, however, were very nice. Valet and housekeeping were great, and the front desk was polite. When I voiced my concerns during checkout, they waived the resort fees, lowering our total from $4,071 for 8 nights to $3,580—but even $447 per night is far too much for the quality we received. Recommendations: lower the resort fees, since there is nothing special included; update the rooms; ensure fees posted online match what guests will actually pay; and adjust room pricing to match the actual experience. If I were paying significantly less, the issues would be easier to overlook. But when you pay for 4 stars, you expect 4-star quality. This was our honeymoon, and the only “gift” offered was a discount on a spa service that costs around $500 for two people (we found an amazing massage elsewhere for $65 each). No champagne, dessert, or anything special—which was surprising for a 4-star hotel. We saw different hotels for around 2200-2500 per 8 days with the parking would go around 3000 still cheaper than 3500 Hyatt with waived resort fees… I’m sad we went with this hotel for our honeymoon…

Pros: Location is fabulous with the beach across the street, nearby shops and restaurants. Great customer service, room cleaning, and size of rooms. Lots to do inside and outside of the hotel. Cons: The rooms need updating with sound proof and insulation. It’s LOUD from inside your room, both outside and in the hallway. You can hear sirens all night, and construction right away at 6am. Parking is a terrible, with $65/day for self service.

We spent 5 nights at the Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach, and our stay was wonderful! We always try to book a room with a nice view, so we chose an oceanfront room with a king bed — and it was absolutely amazing. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and that stunning view was the highlight of our mornings. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and cozy throughout our stay. I’m a coffee lover, and I really appreciated that the housekeeping team always left us extra coffee pods. The location couldn’t be better — the beach is right across the street, and there’s an ABC Store conveniently located in the hotel that’s open until 11 p.m. They have everything you might need during your vacation. Restaurants and shopping areas are just a short walk away. Guests can pick up beach towels in the lobby and even rent beach chairs, umbrellas, and bodyboards for free at the Beach Candy Store — such a great bonus! The pool and spa areas were a bit busy at times, and it could be hard to find a spot, but overall the facilities were nice and well-maintained. I wish the bar offered a wider variety of food options, as we couldn’t find much that suited our taste. Parking was very convenient, and self-parking costs $50 per night. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend the Alohilani Resort to our friends and family. If we visit Hawaii again, we’ll happily stay here again!

The hotel is centrally located, all the attractions are walking distance. Check-in was quick and the room was ok. I’ll not recommend breakfast, no worth for the cost and the variety. Nice pool, but often overcrowded. They have an agreement with a supplier for umbrellas and beach facilities, that you’ll pay using or not, so better to take advantage when possible. The staff were always very kind and all smiling and supportive. The hotel is clean, but rooms need to be renovated. It’s a great hotel that could be wow with a little improvement.

We were very disappointed with our recent stay, as it did not meet the standards we expected from a 5-star property. This was our 6th time staying here and past experiences where great. But something changed. Upon arrival, reception did not great us the way they've always greeted us. No one offered to help with bags. Once we checked in we were on our own. The coffee shop in the lobby is gone, the Italian restaurant gone! We were never offered the option for the buffet nor where to get coffee near the hotel. We had to walk to the Westin for coffee. While checking out the valet told us there was a coffee place next to the ABC. Wish someone would've shared that with us. Unfortunately, there was ongoing construction that started early morning. It was disruptive and frustrating, especially since guests were not informed about it in advance. We enjoy sleeping in while on vacation, but it was impossible since drilling started since early morning, forcing you out of the room. Additionally, some basic amenities were missing there were no complimentary toiletries or bathrobes provided, which was surprising for a hotel of this level and because we've had them previous stays. Parking was also inconvenient and added unnecessary stress to the stay. Someone damaged our rental car, hard to make anyone responsible, we had to deal with the consequences of that. Another concern was the cleanliness of the water stations, which appeared neglected and were not cleaned regularly. The hotel encourages you to use the reusable bottles, but the stations lack cleanliness. So we never used them. We brought up these issues to the staff and while we were not looking for compensation, they added $200 credit for food, which was very generous of them. However, the construction noise continued to inconvenience our stay. This stay was sadly the most disappointing. Based on this experience, we won't be returning in the future. We truly hope this hotel goes back to what it was years ago and improves the guest experience for others.

It was very conveniently located if you are the beach person. The lobby was georgious. The two story aquarium was spectacular. Went to the pool and bar area. Service there was kinda a let down but moving on. The best service was the front desk and the wonderful housekeeper on the floor. She was so sweet and smiled a lot. She always did a really good job and attend in anyway to our housekeeping needs. Parking could be a nightmare with the limited space for hotel guest, but we made it work. By the way. If you get a corner room on the north side of the hotel facing the mountains, the wind was atrocious and loud up there on the 33rd floor. If it rains with wind, expect it to make your windows leak.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I’ll admit, I was a bit unsure given some of the mixed reviews, but our experience was largely excellent. The property is beautiful, the staff were friendly and attentive, and our room was clean and comfortable — everything you’d hope for in a relaxing getaway. One word of caution for future guests: avoid using the concierge desk to book excursions. The concierge we dealt with was not transparent about the additional service fees being charged. After comparing prices, we realized we were being upcharged almost 40% compared to booking directly with the tour operator. Upon recognizing this, we immediately asked for a refund. While she was initially hesitant to process it, we did ultimately receive a full refund and booked the same activity ourselves directly through the provider’s website. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time here and would still recommend the hotel itself — just be sure to double-check excursion pricing before booking through the concierge.

Great Hotel with great Service. We had wonderful 5 days at Alohilani and felt very welcomed. Our room was on the 26th floor with a great view over Waikiki. The breakfast was very tasty and for us absolutely the right decision to book it with the hotel. You are within 1 minute at the beach through one of the sidedoors of the Hotel and an ABC Store is as well right at the hotel for some snacks. All in all we ha a great time staying there.

Great hotel in the heart of Waikiki. Easy walking to most places. Bathroom is small but workable might be too small if more than 2 people. The resort fee is high especially if you don’t use any of the resort amenities. Room wasn’t cleaned one day which was fine because I don’t make much of a mess but the next day room wasn’t cleaned very well and was missing towels. Staff at check in were kind and fixed a problem with my room type. All in all a great hotel.

ATMOSPHERE: Located near the east end of Waikiki on a one-way street between Kuhio & Kalakaua Ave's. The hotel is not directly on the beach - it's separated by Kalakaua Ave but is as close to the beach you can get. Short walking distance to the zoo but a pretty good walk to the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and the hot spots of central Waikiki. The entrance is nothing exciting. You're greeted with a valet desk, stairs and walls. There is a spacious reception desk and lobby bar with lounge area suited for the techie (outlets, outlets and more outlets!) Spacious, but no warm ambiance. You get the feel of being in a hotel in Asia with the light-colored ceramic tile treatment. ROOM: We've stayed her numerous times and most recently in the presidential suite. DINING: There are several options like Sansei and DK Steakhouse. POOL: We're not pool loungers while in Oahu but there is a small but nice outdoor pool located on I believe the 3rd floor. OVERALL: Nice location and great views.

We had a wonderful stay here. Rooms were clean, location was amazing right next to the beach! You are close to Ohua beach on the one hand, which is great for the smaller kidos (shallow, no waves), and to Queen's beach on the other hand, which is perfect for snorkling! The hotel gives you two free beach chairs every day, which were also very helpful. Overall nice staff, though it feels like everyone is just trying to sell you something. Overall we had a great experience, and would definitely come again.

I want to highlight the outstanding service I received from Jeff at the Welcome Desk during my stay. He truly made our visit special. His recommendations were thoughtful, he took the time to understand what we were looking for, and he helped us plan my wife’s birthday in a way that genuinely improved our trip. Jeff went above and beyond every time we spoke with him. You can tell he cares about guests and has a real talent for connecting with people. Because of his help, our stay was smoother, more enjoyable, and a lot more meaningful. Marriott is lucky to have someone like Jeff on their team. He is the main reason we would return to this property in the future.

Came here with my husband through a costco vacation package. The facility was nice; free beach towel rental, 2 pools (1 family, 1 Adult only), and a decent sized gym. While our room had a pretty great view of the ocean, it was unfortunately placed right beside the elevators. Around 6 am, you will be awaken by the frequent use of the elevators. It sounded like there was a rollercoaster right next to us. We also booked a king size bed, but what we got was definitely not that size. It was closer to a queen size bed which was disappointing. The room was overall clean, however some of the sheets we got had stains on it (it looked like it was cleaned, just had old "cleaned" stains). My husband unfortunately hurt himself and we were not able to enjoy our last day in hawaii, and so we requested for a late check out, only to be charged $175USD. What I don't understand is that my friend who was in a similar situation, requested for a late check out and got it for free. Doesn't seem like there's any consistency in treating guests. TLDR; Not worth the 4 star price.

I have to say that I am very disappointed. I had to move from my room that was a tad bit more quieter to a room that is facing the parking lot and there is noise, people slamming their car doors back-and-forth waking me up when I work 12 hours shifts a day. The reason why I’m making this review is because when I got my room switch my toilet seat was dirty housekeeping did not clean the toilet. It was brown as in someone had used the bathroom and did not clean up after themselves. I was totally grossed out. I did call the front desk, but I could not wait as I had to use the bathroom myself so thank goodness I had cleaning products and I cleaned the toilet and sanitized it myself. Not to mention my food went bad and I had to call to get another refrigerator delivered to my room, but I had already explained to the front desk and asked if I can get another refrigerator and they told me no, and they also told me that I was not able to switch rooms to a better one. Hot water gets turned off constantly, and there is construction being done on the balconies, which is annoying especially if you’re trying to sleep. Also before I made a switch to my room, which is more smaller housekeeping was also not cleaning my shower. I specifically took the privacy door off of the door to have them clean my room and when I came back to my room my shower Was not clean. There was one time they did not even give me any toilet paper.

My Aunt is a Bonvoy member and my dad is a titanium member and we were treated very poorly. We came to stay on a family vacation and when we arrived to the hotel my dad got treated very rudely by the staff at the front desk who said they wouldn’t help him because “his status doesn’t matter here” and we couldn’t check in, then got told to “get the hell out of her way”, eventually my aunt was able to get us checked in but 2 of our rooms were dirty and one wasn’t ready. We also had them come into our room without any notice while we had the privacy sign on. They left a note saying they did a welfare check because the privacy sign was on and they had a right to do the check because of the privacy sign without notification. We also got locked out of a room and when we went to get our cards reactivated they wouldn’t reactivate the key because the ID was locked in the room. So I had no way of getting it. My dad had ID, My aunt had ID but because I didn’t have my ID they wouldn’t help. Which again was locked in the room, so they had security open my door and watch me go get my ID then I had to go back down and show the front desk. Throughout our stay we ran into more rude hotel staff. My aunt asked for more towels and an extra pillow which never came. She was charged the resorts fees after being told she wouldn’t be charged them because her rewards covered them. Needless to say we were all disappointed with our stay and how we were treated. My aunt says she will never stay at a Marriott again because of how she and us were treated.

The accommodation was on the 17th floor, and it was so nice because it was a room with a view of the sea. It also rents beach towels, chairs, and paddleboards. It is easy to wash because there is a laundry room and you can use a microwave. And it was nice to have various programs such as hula and yoga.

The view outside our Harbour room was amazing. I love the infinity pool, however the hot tub area is a bit small. There were guests who were there for the full 2 hours we were there so we couldn't use the facilities. I wish they'd have better monitoring for that. The restaurants inside were great options and it's nice to have a honolulu cafe right in the lobby. The lobby seating was never full, so we can always lie down and enjoy our coffee before heading out. The location was further from the waikiki beach, but just a 5 minute walk away. The fact that it wasn't right on the beach meant it was more quiet, which I liked about the hotel area. It wasn't packed with tourists. On one side was waikiki beach and the other side was Ala Moana centre, which had the large mall. Convenient 3 minute walk to the mall. Would stay with Prince again if I come back yo honolulu.

We had a wonderful stay at Prince Waikiki! The location is perfect — close to the beach, Ala Moana Center, and many great restaurants, yet still peaceful and relaxing. The hotel’s modern design and stylish interiors create a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere. Everything was spotless, and the attention to cleanliness was impressive throughout the property. The service was outstanding — every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly, and we truly felt taken care of.

I stayed at this hotel in Hawaii for four nights, and while I initially appreciated the discounted rate, my experience on the last night completely ruined my impression of the property. Two nights in a row, I tried to use the hot tub around dusk, but it was always packed with people who stayed for long periods of time. There were no signs or staff reminders about being courteous or limiting time to 15 minutes so others could enjoy it — something I would expect at a resort claiming to be four stars. On my final night, it was raining, so I decided to sit in one of the cabanas near the pool. Several of them (at least ten) were marked “Reserved,” yet no one was using them. After I sat down, a staff member told me I had to leave because they were reserved — even though no guests were actually there. I politely explained that this was the first time during my stay I had even tried to use the hotel facilities, and I would gladly move if someone returned. Despite this, they refused and said I couldn’t sit there at all. Meanwhile, the hot tub was still full of people who had clearly been there for a long time. The situation made it clear that the hotel staff prioritize arbitrary “rules” over basic guest comfort or fairness. Overall, this experience left a very bad taste at the end of my trip. The staff’s lack of flexibility and care for paying guests was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing or customer-focused stay.

I will caveat up front that the full 5-star is including the package which gives you access to the vip area, which provides basically all-inclusive food as long as you go at the right times. The view from there and the seaside rooms is lovely. The room was lovely and clean, lobby feels very luxury-hotel. My only issue was that it was a bit of a hike to the beach or activities. I’m sure that’s why it has a lower price point than the beachfront hotels, so I get that, I just would recommend really considering your personal preferences and physical health to decide if the saving is worth it — it was for us since we’re young-ish and healthy-ish, but something for families or older or health-compromised folks to know.

An amazing family getaway at Prince Waikiki! Our family had a fantastic time at Prince Waikiki! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome — everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. The rooms were spotless, modern, and spacious, with beautiful views of the harbor and ocean that we never got tired of. The pool area was perfect for the kids, and we loved how relaxing it was for adults too. The on-site dining was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and convenient after a long day exploring Oʻahu. We also appreciated how close the hotel was to Ala Moana Beach Park and shopping, making it easy to enjoy both city life and the ocean. Everything about our stay was seamless — from check-in to check-out — and we truly felt like we were in paradise. We can’t wait to come back to the Prince Waikiki on our next visit to Honolulu!

We stayed at Prince Waikiki from October 12th to 15th for our honeymoon, and it was truly unforgettable. The ocean view from our room was absolutely stunning — waking up to that view every morning felt like a dream. The service was exceptional, and every staff member made us feel so welcome. We especially want to thank Annie, a Japanese staff member at the front desk, for her kindness and warm hospitality. She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, and her thoughtful attitude really touched our hearts. We’ll definitely remember this experience for a long time and would love to come back again someday. 🌈✨

We really enjoyed our stay here. The entire staff was exceptional, always friendly, offered suggestions. The room was clean, workout and pool hot tub area were nice. We walked across the street to the beach, close everything. Our ocean view was beautiful. Waikīkī is a very busy place. Sunset is best viewed from Ala Moana beach in the summer months (40 min walk). I hear winter is the best time to see a Waikīkī sunset.

Fantastic place if you can afford it. Staff is A+. Cleanest apartment I have ever rented. Well equipped kitchen with CLEAN dishes and pans. Hot tub was good. My only complaint is the AC controls don't work well. I asked for someone to look at them and they just turned the temp settings to 50 degrees and really didn't fix anything... the apartments are worth millions?? and they won't replace cheapo old thermostats with better ones that work? Makes no sense to me.

We had no idea this hotel was going to be so fabulous. The staff was incredible and when we walked into our two bedroom suite we were blown away. It was immaculate it had everything we needed. Two full bathrooms, two bedrooms, living room, a full kitchen and dining room and the balcony was out of this world. As we stood on the balcony we could look right across the street at the beautiful Waikiki Beach. Parking was free and the employees were so efficient and brought our cars to us whenever we needed it but sometimes we just walked. So many restaurants and stores in walking distance. When we returned our room was always clean with new Fresh Linen on the bed and fresh towels in all the bathrooms and all the dishes were cleaned in the dishwasher and everything put in it's place. We loved it so much that we decided to stay an extra day and pay more money than we had planned to spend. It was worth it. We almost did not Reserve this location because they did not have a restaurant. That was the only reason we weren't going to reserve this location. I'm glad we changed our mind and stayed at Aston Waikiki Beach Tower. I was celebrating my 70th birthday with my three daughters. We had a blast for 8 days and to be able to come back to a luxurious small type scale hotel with every amenity that you could dream of was a joy. Five stars indeed for this location and when I return I will stay at Aston again. Thank you so much for excellent service. I would highly recommend Aston if you're looking for quality, comfort and a peaceful stay.

If you have a hotel or resort at Waikiki Beach, you don't need to drive. Almost everything is accessible by foot, including the shopping mall, eateries, bars, lounges, and snack-on-the-go. The ABC store was particularly handy, and there were a few food trucks in the area. This is the place to go if you enjoy walking! We stayed in an amazing hotel with a balcony on the 22nd floor that overlooked the water. You could hear the waves of the ocean while you slept. It was an amazing feeling, and I will always remember this place. The valet staff was fantastic; they were polite and always made patrons feel welcome. They also had a positive attitude and were helpful. Our stay at this hotel was brief—we were only there for five days. If it were longer, it would be better! For me and my family, this beach tower was a great experience, and I have no regrets about it. It has a few buildings surrounding it, a gym for those who enjoy working out, and, finally, a five-foot-only pool and a jacuzzi. I would return to this location.

Great 2 bedroom oceanfront suite! We stayed on the 22nd floor (2204). I know of no other places this big for a family of 4 with oceanviews, the best service and staff, and complimentary (free) valet parking. Pool is small and one deck is finishing up construction but we ventured out so much that we never really used the pool or hot tub. The staff were always smiling, greeting us, brought us a new toaster, fresh towels, washing detergent, and anything we needed. Love this place!! Highly recommend.

Our suite was on the 19th floor, and we had an ocean view. The 2 bedroom suite was perfect for our 4-person family. The beds were comfortable, the bidet was a luxurious touch, and the tub was nice and deep. The view from the master bedroom couldn't be beat! We spent a good amount of time on the balcony, too, enjoying sunrise and sunset over the ocean, with the breeze keeping us comfortable on these 84-degree days. The washing machine, dryer, and full kitchen made our stay even more comfortable. Plus, this hotel is convenient to many places - across the street from the beach, right next to a breakfast place and McDonalds, with many ABC stores within short walking distance. If you are into high-end stores, they're within walking distance too.

Good service, helpful staff. Room service is a bit slow, though. Convenient location near lots of shops and close by a decent beach. We used a 6 person room and it was spacious with good quality items. The valet parking was helpful. Overall decent hotel.

Cannot recommend this resort enough. Every single staff member we encountered was friendly and kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The grounds are beautifully kept. There is an adults only pool which is so peaceful and relaxing, while the family pool is fun-including water slides and a splash pad! The breakfast buffet is delicious and the other food options on site have good food as well. It’s located near so many things to do in Waikiki and within walking /uber distance to so many great restaurants / stores.

Older hotel but well kept. The property is well kept extremely clean and beautiful sceneries. The customer service here is amazing and people all say good morning to you and super polite. The rooms get clean daily and they are immaculate. Maybe not the most updated rooms but very clean and comfortable. Most rooms have a balcony. Plenty of places to eat on the property and lots of Beach. They have an adult pool and a family pool with restaurants surrounding it and bars. The only thing is, you'd have to be sponsored or be an active military member or veteran to rent from this property. For the price you can never go wrong. Centrally located around a lot of restaurants in a lot of outdoor activities.

Grateful for this hotel! We were only there for a 2 night staycation but you made our stay worthwhile. It all started with a Free upgrade to an Ocean view Room . That was awesome. Then, the breakfast buffet was phenomenal. Luau was the best.... to pay tribute to us is a great feeling. So much food too! Lastly, hubby didn't get the names but to the manager for today 11/11/2025 ... and especially to the lady at the front desk....you made my son's day and also my day! It may have been as simple as allowing him to get in to the pool for the day but that was his sort of pre birthday celebration. Again, we are truly grateful . With Gratitude, Nugent Family

We stayed for a week and had a great time here. The pool is incredible for kids and has very attentive lifeguards. There are 2 waterslides, a splash pad, a kid pool, a hot tub, and an infinity pool for adults. The beach is a 3 minute walk from the hotel. My daughter loved the luau and was chosen to dance up on stage. The entertainers were extremely talented. The rooms are cozy and functional. There is tons of downtown shopping and restaurants within a short 10-15 minute walk. We didn’t rent a car and had no issues. Friday night had a firework show right near the hotel and it was pretty impressive. This was just a great trip and loved staying here!

I’ve stayed at some nice hotels over the years, and this one ranks pretty high on my list. The Hale Koa is only for active or retired military, and honestly, I didn’t expect it to be this nice. I spent 8 nights in Waikiki — 5 of those were at the Hyatt Regency, which is a great hotel — but the Hale Koa easily takes first place when it comes to the grounds, landscaping, pools, and beach access. For a place that’s been around for over 40 years, it’s in amazing shape. You can tell they’ve kept up with renovations over time. It’s awesome to see such a beautiful spot reserved for our military community. Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!

This was the cleanest hotel I have ever been in. The employees work very hard. And being right on the beach is a huge plus. Food was good as well. Only thing I didnt like is the hotel rooms are like 95% 2 queens beds.. barely any single king beds and barely any rooms with one queen.. but still doesn't sway my 5 star because I would definitely come back!

As a retired military member, I am genuinely grateful for the opportunity to stay in this wonderful place. My time with my granddaughters has been a cherished experience, filled with joyful moments. I appreciate this special opportunity and am thankful for the memories we've created together. I surprised my granddaughters with the Luau Dinner. The performers are fantastic.

We just completed a 6 day stay and can’t say enough about how amazing it was! I’m a former Hawaii resident who brought my Husband to Hawaii for the very first time. We found The Modern to be a great deal budget wise! We especially appreciated the onsite daily breakfast that was included in our room rate. Daily parking of $31 is on the lower end of Waikiki standards. I especially love its location. Close enough to the thick of Waikiki but just enough on the outskirts to make accessibility easier. David at the poolside bar was one of our favorites! But really, ALL HOTEL STAFF we interacted with were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was also very clean and expertly made up daily. We are already planning our next stay to The Modern in the future.

We enjoyed staying in this lovely hotel. We were lucky to get the 16th floor with partial ocean view. Overall room was nice and perfect location close to Hilton lagoon. Front desk staff were very polite and helpful. The downside is $41 a night plus tax resort fees. Also the elevator is loud even couple of rooms away.

Anyone ADA BEWARE! We had part of our group that required ADA, and the beds are all on platforms a foot off the ground. The resolution for this from the staff was to bring in a king mattress and set on top of a queen mattress that was on the platform bringing the height to an ok position, but this was not thought through as the sides of the mattress were hanging over with NO support! They send maintenance up with bedding for the "NEW" bed and luckily were were stopping by the room to see how things were going as he said "You Make"? Really they don't even have housekeeping come up and make the sheets and blanket on this ridiculous mattress they are calling a resolution! Management should be disappointed that they allowed a client to be so uncomfortable for their stay and are NOT following the requirements for ADA. The Elevators are Extremely Noisy! Our room was towards the end of the hall and could hear them all NIGHT! I can not imagine what it would have been like to be a room within a few feet of them. Overall, with the exception of our view this stay was very disappointing. Our room had a spectacular view, however most others in our party did NOT but the hotel in general is pretty run down and in desperate need of a renovation. Our room was in terrible shape. The staff we did talk with were very nice and welcoming but overall, I would not recommend.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Modern. The pool and outdoor bar were lovely and the room was nice as well. It is walkable to the beach and other attractions in the area. Staff was also very welcoming and friendly!

I really wanted to love the Hilton Modern Hotel Waikiki Beach, but my stay fell short of expectations. The location is definitely a plus — close to the beach, shops, and plenty of great food options — but beyond that, it was a bit disappointing. For a hotel branded as “modern,” the rooms felt dated and in need of a refresh. The furniture showed wear, and the bathroom could have been cleaner. To top it off, I actually ran out of soap during my very first shower — not exactly what you expect when you’re paying Hilton prices. Service was inconsistent as well. A few staff members were friendly, but overall, it seemed like the hotel was understaffed or just not attentive to the details that make a stay enjoyable. The amenities were also underwhelming for what they charge. The pool area was smaller than expected, and the resort fee didn’t really seem justified. All in all, it wasn’t the worst experience, but it definitely didn’t live up to Hilton standards. With so many great options in Waikiki, I’d likely stay somewhere else next time.

This place is about a 25 minute walk from downtown. Wished I had stayed somewhere closer. Lost a lot of vacation time just walking back and forth. Other modes of transportation but they had so many stops. Car rental is cheap but parking will break you. It is an older hotel but in good condition. We were on the top floor and had great views. The elevators were very noisy and very Annoying from my room. Don’t choose this place for the pools. The one upstairs was only a foot deep. The pool down stairs was small. Staff was friendly throughout our stay.

For the price, I would consider other options. We stayed here for 7 nights on our honeymoon after we just got married in Maui. What was expected as a pleasant and romantic stay did not go as expected. The people working around the pool were passive aggressive, and some of the staff working with the car/valet-service were outwright rude. The cleaning service was however very good, and also that one guy working at the car service. It is sad to observe the effort of hard workers being overshadowed by others who did not care as much of doing a good job.

We stayed between the 7th - 14th September and loved our stay here. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. The staff are so helpful and friendly and checking in and out was a breeze! Its the best location with beach, shops and food at your doorstep. Au'ana is a definite must see at the resort! Its worth every penny! The location is excellent—highly recommended if you're more into shopping and dining rather than spending time at the beach. Everything is conveniently close to the hotel, which made getting around really easy. The only downside was the AC vent in my room, which was positioned right next to the bed. It made the air feel dry and left my throat feeling dusty and uncomfortable during the night.

Such a great location. Beautiful views. Great pool. Special mention to the beautiful housekeepers. Rooms were cleaned perfectly each day, very thorough, and the ladies are so lovely. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a nice family stay, and overall, the room and lobby had a great atmosphere. However, one thing that stood out negatively was the staff’s cleaning method outside the entrance area. While I was waiting for my Uber, a staff was using a strong blower to clear the dust, which created a lot of noise and blew debris around. It was unpleasant, especially for guests standing nearby. I would suggest that the staff use sweeping instead of blowing the dust. It would help maintain both cleanliness and comfort without disturbing the guests’ experience.

Caren and Cyrus at the front desk have been absolutely lovely so far! They’ve been so kind, welcoming, and helpful since I arrived. It was such a thoughtful surprise when they gave me a complimentary recycle bag and chocolates! The hotel is very clean, bigger than I expected, and in a great location-right in the middle of everything. I’m really enjoying my stay so far and looking forward to the rest of it! 🤍✨

If you want to stay on Waikiki beach without breaking the bank...this is the perfect hotel for you. Location was absolutely desirable, the beach was just across the street. Was very easy to go from our room to the beach and vise versa. Right on the strip for all of your shopping needs. The rooms were spacious, clean, and we got a great view of diamond head also. Close to our rent a car which was next door at the international marketplace. Just a great place to stay in Waikiki, would absolutely recommend it.

Great location! Extremely walkable to lots of restaurants and the beach! We got an ocean view room and it was really nice. We rented a car and toured most of the island and were only in our room at the end of the day. I think the only downside of our stay was the valet parking. There's not enough parking for all the guests so we had to go park in the overflow parking lot. What I didn't understand was that if it was valet parking, why didn't someone just park the car for us in the overflow parking lot?

I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Centric, and it’s easy to see why this hotel is a great choice for beach lovers and those seeking a convenient, comfortable stay. The hotel is impeccably clean, which immediately set a positive tone for our visit. The amenities provided, particularly the chaise lounges and umbrellas for the beach, were a perfect match for us as we spent most of our days by the ocean. These thoughtful touches made our beach trips hassle-free and enjoyable. The gym and hot tub were standout features—both were fantastic and well-maintained, offering a great way to unwind or stay active. However, I was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t a swimming pool, which would have been a nice addition for those moments when we didn’t want to head to the beach. The service at Hyatt Centric was exceptional. The staff were kind, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The hotel also felt very safe, which was especially reassuring since we enjoyed walking around at night and returning late. Its location is a major plus—just a 5-7 minute walk to the beach and conveniently close to restaurants and shopping areas, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Overall, the Hyatt Centric is a fantastic option for anyone looking for a clean, safe, and well-located hotel with great amenities for beachgoers. While a pool would have been nice, the excellent service and proximity to local attractions more than made up for it. I’d happily stay here again!

We were here for our first visit to Hawaii, and it has been a wonderful experience so far. The hotel gave us a complementary upgrade which was highly appreciated the roo. Was spacious, clean and all we needed for a relaxing holiday. I will say that we like our holidays out and about, so we mostly need a clean and comfortable place to sleep. The location is wonderful everything is walking distance. So we will definitely consider to come back here if we come again to the area.

The hotel is very nice and new. However, very disappointed in learning it was a wade pool and not a full pool. They have the room for it and is located in Hawai’i, why no pool?? The elevators were too fast and rough, got motion sickness every time we rode it. We got upgraded to a penthouse so that made the stay worth it. The location is great if you love city life, but beware the rooms are soundproof and you can hear everything going on down below. Not recommended for someone wanting peace and quiet. Also wasn’t a fan that when I booked the hotel, I selected “show all taxes and fees” but was told there is a resort fee when I got there. When you include the resort fee in the total price, it’s equivalent to nicer hotels closer to the beach with actual pools. Why pay a resort fee when it’s not an actual resort: no breakfast, no pool, no garden area, no nice amenities.

Checked in as Globalist got upgraded to a very spacious room. Fresh, bright, big enough open all of our luggage on the floor and very clean. Bathroom is spacious and recently updated. Self parked Garage parking is easy breezy on level 6. Just drive to level 6, take your luggage to lobby level. You can go in and out for $35 a night. Front desk is professional and get things done lighting speed. Water filter system make life very easy. A+ location stone throw to EVERYTHING! There is a small pool and hot tub. Small fitness room. Good enough for city hotel. I would return!

What a perfect stay we had at the Hyatt Centric Waikiki. Location was central to everything we needed. ABC shops on every corner around the hotel. Starbucks attached. Restaurants everywhere including Aloha Steakhouse across the street. Walk to the beach was less than 5 minites. Room was spacious, clean and modern. Staff were amazing. We had fantastic ocean views.

We loved our stay at this hotel! All of the staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating. They were quick with housekeeping requests and Travis at the valet / front concierge area in particular made our stay memorable with his cheerfulness and thoughtful offer of an umbrella when we headed out in the rain. We hope to stay at the Hyatt Centric next time we’re back!

We had a fantastic experience staying at this hotel! The staff were amazing, the rooms were spacious, and everything was exceptionally clean. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to my friends and family. What more could you want from a simple hotel that is right across the beach? It's perfect if you're looking for a clean, comfortable, cozy place to rest up after a long day of enjoying all the pleasures of Waikiki. The front desk staff are all amazing and have their own special characteristics and quirks. Super helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. I felt like my complaints however small/mundane were heard and taken care of in the most hospitable and efficient way possible. I will say that the DVD machine is a bit sketchy since it just spits out the DVD at you with no warning but I had no issues with the single DVD that was rented. The cleaning staff are also so courteous with how they put your belongings back. My travel companion had a book tucked under their pillow and when we had returned to our room we noticed that it was tucked underneath the same pillow on the same side of the bed they had kept it originally!(such great attention to detail). I will for sure be booking here again assuming I can find a room. I will say that if you end up parking in their underground parking lot it can be a bit of a challenge getting in and out whilst waiting for the crowds of pedestrians but that's just how it is in a busy tourist zone. Nothing can be done about that. Some might find that having to go downstairs to get ice can be a hassle but the front desk are urgent about the matter and will have the ice to you in less than 30 seconds.

1. They advertised laundry facilities but didn’t have any. 2. They gave very little and inaccurate suggestions on where to get a good cup of coffee. The coffee maker in our room didn’t work. 3. After four days of stay we had to request fresh towels and twice had to ask for fresh linens. 4. When I asked about housekeeping emptying trash the front desk said “ I don’t think housekeeping does that.” WHAT .. they don’t empty trash. 5. The phone to call front desk and housekeeping didn’t work. 6. The outlet for the lamp next to the bed didn’t work. 6. They had no icemaker to help yourself to ice. You had to wait in line at the front desk to get ice. No vending machines Rude front desk staff at times. 12:00 a.m false fire alarm went off with no one down stairs to explain what was happening. Next night the fire alarm went off in the room next to us for EVER. They said they didn’t know why it was going off so they were sending someone up to take the battery out. AWESOME SAFETY FEATURE. The ONLY thing they have going for them is the view. PERIOD!

Just a really nice room at a great rate. We weren't looking for anything fancy as we only had 2 nights to spend. Room was clean, view of the beach and ocean was excellent and service was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed this place very much.

We booked an ocean-view room through Booking, but on arrival were told these rooms were sold out and given only a partial ocean-view room. It is unacceptable that availability was shown online but not honored at check-in. The parking lot was also full, forcing us to park away from the hotel, and the staff were rude, refusing to clarify anything directly with us and saying they only deal with Booking if contacted. We request an explanation and appropriate compensation for these issues.

Rooms are very small at 245 sq ft each. It gets tight for a family of four. The shower in the standard room is barely large enough for one person under 6ft, anyone taller will be crouching to duck under the shower head. There are no shelves, so your body wash and shampoo will be on the floor. The window AC unit works well enough to cool the small space. There is a mini fridge and a medium sized closet for your things. Ice can be retrieved from the front desk, as well as beach towels. There is also a filtered water station and microwave for use in the seating area across from the desk. With all that, this is about as basic a space you can get within a budget to stay directly across the street from Waikiki Beach. If you are expecting a resort style experience, this is not the hotel for you. There is no room service or pool. You also get to hear the sounds of the street and street life at night which can sometimes be XXX rated with the transients and homeless roaming the area as the day turns to night. It can get loud during the day with the vehicle and foot traffic. For some reason, everyone with a political, religious, personal point of view or music preference, decide they need to voice their unwelcome opinions over a loud speaker starting around 6pm when everyone assembles on the beach to watch the sunset. The parking garage holds 20 vehicles. Mid-sized sedans and compact SUVs or smaller only, larger vehicles like Explorers, Expeditions, and Tahoe’s are too tall to enter the underground garage and would be too wide for the compact spaces. I have stayed here twice in the past three years, I suggest booking directly from the hotel, and request parking if needed to reserve your spot. Do not use an outside travel service, go to the source. The staff are very friendly and available 24/7 at the front desk, which by the way, is outside, there is also no lobby. They offer use of beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and toys to use on the beach that is included in your daily “amenity” fee. Checkout is promptly at 12pm, not 1pm, not 12:30pm, not 12:05pm. They turn rooms quickly and are fully booked year round. They have allowed me an early check, as early as 1pm though which worked with the 10 hour flight, 6 hour time difference I experience when going there. I’ve stayed twice for business, it’s the cheapest allowed on the Concur travel website I have to book through but personally, I would stay here if I was paying for it, since I’m always on a budget too. If I wanted resort style, I’d go to another island or someplace Caribbean. This is Hawaii, I go to work but also for the amazing beaches, hiking and history.

The rooms were outdated, and the furniture was peeling . On the first room offered, which was conveniently located next to the pool area, The room had a foul odor and loud music from the outside pool area ,that made it impossible to sleep. The music was extremely loud, drowning out any chance of rest. I complained to the front desk and requested to be move to a quieter room. They wanted to charge me for an upgrade, and informed me that they couldn’t do anything until the following day. As a result, I had a sleepless night. On the following day, they finally relocated us to a cleaner and quiet room. We had booked this hotel for our anniversary and because the hotel had a good rating, so I was also disappointed .Also they don’t provide complimentary coffee. While they did have a coffee machine in the room, that made horrible coffee. To make matters worse, our flight leaving Hawaii was delayed. I asked the front desk if I could extend my stay a few hours, but they charged me $150 for several hours that I felt that was unjust, but I had no choice because I didn’t want to spend four hours in the streets. Overall, this hotel fell short of my expectations, that was set for 4.8 star rating .

The staff was AMAZING, so helpful and friendly! The people make it worth it. We LOVED the view from our room. Sitting having coffee on the balcony watching people was such a pleasure.

Had the perfect stay at Halepuna! Have visited Waikīkī quite a few times and this hotel is definitely one of the best, the location is perfect while being quiet enough that you’re not hearing street noise overnight. The room is spacious and modern, with lots of storage space, natural light and a fridge that has ample room for drinks and snacks. The staff are all lovely and accommodating. While the pool is on the smaller side and can get windy, I never had trouble getting a sun lounger (stayed in August). Drinks are very expensive at the pool but otherwise found the hotel to be great value for money and will definitely return!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in! The service was exceptional - all staff have been very helpful and accommodating. They really put in extra care and work to make sure you’re taken care of. The free beach bag rentals + reusable water bottles + in room Japanese toilets have been just what we needed. The location is close to everything on the Waikiki strip, but still tucked away on its own little corner of the beach, so you’re away from the noise.

Had a wonderful time staying at Halepuna! Great central location with amazing amenities and staff. Received a room upgrade and was welcomed with a happy hour. Does it feel like Hawaii? Not really as it doesn’t have that ~resort feel. That said, we landed early and decided to stay a night before making our way to a different island! Clean, easy, and in the heart of downtown! Would recommend. Pool was slightly underwhelming, but it was mainly due to other residents with poor swimming skills (haha).

An excellent choice. It's a sister hotel to the one across the road. The service was excellent and the location is super. Carparking was 50 a night, it is what it is I guess. The bakery next door is probably the best bakery in Waikiki, there was a line even before the door opened at 6:30. We ended up just getting pastries there for breakfast every morning.

Beautiful streamed line hotel, Japanese inspired amenities... Great location in the heart of Waikiki shopping center. Walking distance to fantastic beach. This is a wonderful choice. Valet parking is expensive, but no other options if you rent a car.

We had a great experience at the Halepuna. Rooms were clean and modern. Our 21st floor view of the ocean was incredible. The staff was also friendly, attentive, and helpful. Any issues were corrected immediately. They even worked with us with our late check out needs with no additional charges. Lastly, the valet team was the best. Very polite and helpful.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. All rooms at 8th floor and above. The balconies on the ocean side of the 8th floor are large and very nice. Great pool and outdoor areas. They also give you access and privileges at the Halekulani across the street.

We stayed as a family with children 3 & 12. Enjoyed every day, room service was great, the room with a kitchen is very convenient due to the large fridge. We had room with view on the city - still great - 23rd floor. At night, not too loud. AC was working great, 5 elevators are sufficient for the property. Area around is very attractive with lots of options for swimming, dining, shopping and walking. Complementary ice cream and parties on Fridays are joy for kids

I had room 1118 I the tower for a week. I came with two friends who left after two nights because they found it noisy and for a group of three, a bit crowded. I'm an old NYC boy. The mild city noise was not a problem for me. The room was immaculate and luxurious (if I could have taken the shower and bed with me I would have done so) and the view was mesmerizing. Sunsets with cocktails and coffee with sunrise on the balcony are not to be missed. Downstairs the lobby is charming and mostly open air - open air adjacent at least. A pretty good restaurant and a superior bar are right there. Try Elijah's dirty Martini if you need a boost! The location is also perfect... but I'm babbling now. In Oahu, try the Ilikai, you'll be happy, I swear!

Unfortunately, we did not stay in the Ilikai proper. We stayed at the Shell Beach Club rooms, which face high-rises, a parking garage, and a very noisy Alamoana street. If it wasn’t for the thick class windows that look out onto our little trashy balcony, we wouldn’t have slept very well because of all the noise from the trucks, buses, motorcycles, sirens, and Bull horns. (people complaining about employment at the Ilikai.) There’s a slight silver lining to this review. The valet personnel for parking are fantastic. They are the sweetest kindest people and very professional. They deserve a lot of credit and they are almost all young people. It’s too bad that we didn’t get a better room, Because then this review wouldn’t be so negative. The room seems a bit dirty. We had a Pot that was corroded with no lid handle on it and some of the dishware chipped. And it’s kind of dirty in the kitchen. We had to change rooms because in the first room they gave us, The air conditioner was broken. Sounded like the roar of a semi truck. So things are going bad Here. I would never ever recommend the shell Beach Waikiki Club to anyone and it’s owned by Wyndam. So spoiler alert. Watch out for hard sells on timeshares and promotional sales packages, Especially in or for Waikiki places-you never know what you’re going to get.

My family and I stayed for a week,. Overall, the restaurants are very good and the staff is super friendly but our room didn't get very cold, the beds were very hard (the pull out bed was more comfortable), and the water pressure in the shower wasn't very good either. I will say we were on the 24th floor (oceanside) and the view was immaculate. I would say the beds are really the only problem we had.

Rooms are dingy, poorly patched holes in walls and bathroom door, dish drainer was filthy, sheets were stained, outside of building has rust stains, paint not touched up in room, mold-stained grout and caulk in bathroom. The staff was amazing! Very helpful and personable. The furniture was in good condition. The fridge, microwave, bathroom, and dishes were clean. Location is very good. Right on the beach and close to the Hilton bus depot, ABC store, Ala Moana mall and bus stop.

Older room decor, but decent shape. Balcony was a bonus, even though we didn't face the ocean. Pool looked ?-able, but people were using it. Having car rental available was priceless. Restaurant was way over priced, but hey your in Hawaii. Gift shops have convenient items and will leave your wallet way lighter. Location was great and little south of downstrip (downtown shopping strip) of waikiki.

The hotel is perfect for the price. Conveniently located. Valet parking is such a nice experience. It is $45 per night but they are super quick bringing your car down and are so pleasant. Definitely worth it for the price. Full kitchen is so nice to save money on food. Having issues with the TV. Remotes haven't worked. Idk if batteries are dead but we've tried switching them out and still no luck. We are in room 1329. Beautiful views of the marina.

Overall our experience here was great! We stayed for a total of 8 days, 7 nights and it was our first time in Hawaii I’ll start with the cons to get them out of the way: Our fridge in our room didn’t work that great even on the coldest setting food/drinks were barely cold. Wasn’t a huge deal to us as we didn’t store a bunch of stuff in there. The shower also didn’t drain that well but same thing, it was manageable. (Full disclaimer we didn’t bother contacting anyone because it was minor to us, so I can’t say how they would’ve handled it but I’m sure they would’ve taken care of us due to how much of a warm/friendly atmosphere we got) Pros: -room was very clean -staff was BEYOND friendly and helpful -the guide that books excursions for you was absolutely amazing, he booked us for 3 excursions and gave us insight on what was worth it, even got us some good deals on a Luau and Snorkeling with turtles (huge shoutout to Quinton) -24 hour valet was SO nice to have. They were so quick every time getting our car and very friendly -coffee shop downstairs was the best coffee we had all trip (get the longboard latte!). We tried several different spots and always resorted back to this one -the DECK had amazing dinner and great atmosphere/staff -location is great. You’re less than a 5 min walk from Waikiki beach, lots of shops to check out and things to do/places to eat. It’s also a quick drive to other hotels in the area to find other things to do. -hotel offers free beach chairs and towels you can take with you for the day which was really awesome to have available - we used them every day and it came in handy All around it was a really great trip and I would recommend this hotel to someone. It’s decently priced too. I saw a few reviews about noise and the busy street, we personally didn’t have an issue with this but it could also depend on what side of the hotel you stay on (Our window faced the diamond head mountain). I think if you get it facing the ocean you might get some more of the noise from the Main Street - just my guess. Me and my husband both agreed we would stay here again!

From staff to the room to the view, it is the perfect spot to be right next to the ocean. You can hear the beautiful honolulu zoo next door and you can wake up hearing the ocean. It was so convenient to have vallet And go and come when we chose to. The staff really do make this place a beautiful feeling and atmosphere. Our room with the queen's size beds were very comfortable.Our king's size bed was actually very comfortable. It was really nice to be able to take a bath after a long day. Did I mention the chewy ice?There is ice machines all over and I am addicted. And then fresh espresso walk down every morning. See this great team better than starbucks. The coffee was worth it! We boogie, board, we saw everything we could.We had a great visit and our next visit without children will be here too.

Let me introduce you to a beautiful and nice hotel. This was my first visit to Hawaii and I followed my husband as he prepared for me. This is the best hotel for money and location and facilities. The valet service was so kind and the desk staff was so happy to work with customers. I want to go again~^^ Most of all, this hotel has wonderful views of Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head, and the zoo-park. It is so beautiful sitting on the balcony looking at the scenery. The sky is beautiful, and everything you can see the beach and the mountains is beautiful. So this trip was a very happy one. I will come again this Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel Waikīkī Beach on my next trip to Hawaii.

Where do I even start? Valet service was AWFUL. We would have to wait for valet 20-40m EACH time to drop off our car and pick up our car. The valet was completely in disarray the whole time we were there. I felt bad for the people who were just wanting to valet and weren’t staying at the hotel because they’d wait 20+ minutes only to be turned away. I also felt bad for the valet. It was only one person and there would be over 10 people requesting their car or dropping it off; the whole layout is just terrible for people using cars. I don’t blame the valet completely as their garage and drive in set up was poorly made. Our room was unfortunate and small and could never maintain a consistent temperature. Not to mention the air con was positioned directly next to the head of the bed so when we wanted to cool down the cold air blew directly in our faces. Great when it’s hot but not in the middle of the night esp since the room couldn’t maintain a consistent temperature. Towels were cheap, thin quality and all the towels weren’t even matching making the whole set up look even cheaper. Light barely comes into the room and our placement had our neighbors being able to peek directly into ours.

I was excited to stay here because it was a 4-star class hotel and is well known. I have relatives on O'ahu and they said this was supposed to be one of the better hotels. However, it really fell to met its star rating. Upon arriving to our rooms at night after a long day out and about, our blanket with a nasty dark brown stain on it. The front desk lady was irritated with our request to change the blanket and all the sheets, but said someone will be there in 15 minutes. After 30 minutes, we called again. The two workers who came to change it made a big fuss about it as well. Yikes. As for the room itself, it's tiny. There's very little walking space. The shower was dirty, and had not been scrubbed well. There was soap scum and hair on the shower walls. Frankly, I was disgusted. The good things about the hotel were the complimentary drinks upon arrival, and the two hotel branded water bottles. The lobby area is beautiful and the restaurant on site is delicious. The valets were fantastic and super helpful. Front desk staff was a mixed bag. The location is at the end of Waikiki. It's quieter if that's something you're looking for. It's right by the zoo and close to the aquarium. The water by the park is slightly cleaner than Waikiki, but not by much. However, the bad service from some of the front desk staff and lack of cleanliness can't make up for the nice amenities.

Charged almost $60 a day as a hospitality fee which I was unaware of. Although it says it on the website, I assumed it would have been for daily room cleaning or more direct services like room service or laundry. We only used the wifi which was poor, we ended up using data most of our 9 day trip. The staff and lobby were nice but for not being in the hotel as much due to sightseeing and choosing to not have the housekeeping or using the wifi, the $59 charge a day really puts a damper on things. I don't think I would choose to stay here again.

**Please do your research before booking a stay at this dump*** I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. There were several hidden fees that weren't disclosed upfront, and the valet parking was ridiculously expensive a real rip-off. The elevators are outdated and often out of order, which made getting around inconvenient. The overall condition and atmosphere of the place felt more like a motel than a proper hotel, which was not what I expected based on the photos and price. On top of that, the surrounding area isn't great there's a hostel next door and a dark alley nearby that doesn't feel safe, especially for families. Overall, I did not enjoy my stay and wouldn't recommend this property. For what they charge, there are far better, more transparent, and safer options in the area.

This hotel is cozy and perfect for families. If you’re looking for a luxurious experience, this might not be the place for you. But if you’re okay with a bit of a dated vibe and stunning beachfront views from your balcony, you’ll love it! The best part about this hotel is its location. The beach is just a stone’s throw away, and you’re also close to other hotels, restaurants, and attractions. Everything is within walking distance. This hotel makes up for what it lacks in luxury with other great perks like free meals at the LuLus Waikiki restaurant, free beach chairs and umbrellas, beautiful ocean views, and views of Diamond Head Mountain. Plus, the prices are reasonable and the location is convenient. We’re usually used to higher-end and modern hotels, so this was a bit of a surprise. But once we took into account all the benefits I mentioned, we felt like it was a great value for the money. Overall, our family agreed that the rooms were comfortable enough for sleeping and the views were amazing. The staff was also very friendly. So, if you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option for your lodging, I would definitely recommend this hotel. You can save up that money for activities and making memories!

Great hotel with a beautiful view and good value. Location is perfect, just steps the beach. Valet/parking is extremely quick and convenient. Good customer service. Giving 4 stars due to lack of hot/warm water in shower throughout my stay. Outside that, no complaints.

Terrible customer service and stay! If you want to save yourself from having a terrible time in Hawaii - avoid this place at all costs because it almost ruined my whole trip. The only decent thing about it is the location is mediocre- nothing else is good. Room: uncomfortable bed, the sheets were dirty, the sinks/toilet clog very often and incredibly slow internet/reception. The customer service is what gives this place truely a 1 star hotel. The staff - and specifically one lady that works there literally is the most insufferable staff you can meet. She literally started yelling at me at one point, and abusing me for no reason. When I asked her why she’s yelling at me and treating me like this when I was being calm and respectful to her- she had no answer . I was booked to stay here for 10 nights but after that interaction with the staff team member I called booking.com the same night of my stay and asked for a refund / to cancel my stay. The polite gentleman the next morning who works there apologised to me about the way I was treated and was super nice but it was too late. Terrible customer service - do yourself a favour and don’t stay there.

Misleading Photos and Unacceptable Room Conditions I booked this hotel through American Airlines' hotel booking site, trusting the photos and descriptions shown online — but the actual condition of the property was nothing like what was advertised. The first room I was given had what appeared to be - visible mold, and stained walls and shower, and broken fixtures. I requested another room, and it was in the same or worse condition. Both rooms were clearly severely neglected and far below any reasonable standard of cleanliness or maintenance. I travel heavily, and I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels worldwide. This was one of the most misleading listings I’ve encountered. The property’s photos do not accurately reflect reality, and the conditions made it impossible for me to stay. I left immediately and booked another hotel that same night. I’ve attached photos to show the true condition of the rooms. I strongly encourage other travelers to avoid this property - spend $30-$50 more a night and you will get a HUGE increase in quality and cleanliness. Randi at the front desk was AMAZING. I feel bad for her, she's great, but the hotel she works at is extremely dated and in poor condition.

Great location, helpful and cheerful staff, clean room and comfortable bed and the air conditioning in our room worked great. Unfortunately it's pretty run down outside of the lobby, for example all of the bathroom fixtures are rusted, water pressure is poor, that kind of thing. Probably can't do much better given the excellent location right next to Waikiki beach.

I stayed here for nine days. Everything and everyone was perfect. Location is prime, right across the street from the beach and park. Beach Candy was wonderful, providing an umbrella, chair and other goodies to make your beach stay amazing. Lots of restaurants, cafes, clubs and shopping very close by. All in all I would highly recommend Park Shore to anyone wanting to spend quality time in Waikiki.

Enjoyed my stay 10-night stay here. The staff is super friendly and accommodating to anything you need, the pool area is nice with a beach view, and I also used their workout room which they kept nice and cool and clean. I tried the Japanese restaurant downstairs which was really good and I used their concierge service to book an Island tour where I had nice time. I also preferred this hotels location at the farthest end of hotel row right across from the beach. There is a gorgeous view on Diamond Head volcano on the left along with a huge, green park where I did lots of walking to get away from the heavier city noise. Because the Honolulu Zoo is also right there, you can sometimes hear the animals and you'll spot lots of wild, colorful birds around. On the flip side, the hotel was also still walkable to all the nearby shops, restaurants, even a Target if I needed anything; the lobby also had its own entrance to one of the ABC convenience stores. The only reason I can't give it a 5-star rating is the cleaning can be stepped up a notch; I had to clean things like the phone & remote control, etc. myself that found to still be dirty from a past guest. But the maid service every 2 days was convenient and they will return later the same day if you're not ready for them when they first arrive. Overall, a nice and relaxing place to stay.

This is our second time staying here. I’ve always enjoyed the wonderful staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Our rooms have always been clean. We moved rooms this second visit since our bed was very uncomfortable. They made the switch easy and the new bed is much more comfortable. The property is clean, and many things are easily walked to. Traveling with a young child, I would have liked having somewhere to wash and dry clothes. We chose to stay here again when we saw last time there was a beach church service and thought that was really cool, so we went and it was great! Super fun experience. I do wish there was room service and more breakfast options close by. Also a larger mini fridge for the rooms to keep our waters cold. We got one fridge that was so tiny and all the shelves were missing making it hard to store much at all. If just us and our youngest we would stay here again, though I feel if we had brought more family we may look at other options that have washer/dryer on site.

Customer service is excellent. (Only annoyed by the repeated request to do the owner review after ive already declined) There are plenty of convenient food and shops that close or on property. Had a 2 bedroom with the ocean view, amazing...if only the building in front of us wasn't so tall it blocked the sunset 😉 Kitchen has everything you need.

We celebrated a birthday party for 4year old Ayla. What a beautiful day at the pool. Then to open presents at our bedroom suites with family and tons of great home cooked meals. The beds were so divine, pillows that felt like floaties and a peaceful weekend was felt by all.

Beautiful resort. It worth it. Just be ready to pay the $ 75 daily parking fee or park across the street for a little bit cheaper. Other than that it's a beautiful place to stay. Close to everything. Including the amazing beaches you access through the resort. Highly recommended.

Hotel staff and customer service could have been better. The hotel itself was nice. The amenities were great and the beach was very clean and pretty. Hilton staff knocked aggressively on my door and at 9:30pm, we had called 5 hrs prior to report that the seal between the toilet and floor was causing a slight smell in the bathroom. It was not an emergency. We explained that my husbands a plumber and we knew what the problem was. When I answered the door I told them to come back tomorrow that my husband and I are sleeping, they told me it poses a threat to the hotel. I said NO, it's not an emergency, my husband's a plumber and I can assure them it's not. They insisted I was wrong. If it poses a threat why did they wait 5 hrs to send hotel maintenance? Regardless I was in my nightgown, they came in to my room, and didn't fix anything. I have a very hard time going back to sleep. (It was 3:30am Virginia time, And we were trying to adjust to Hawaii time.) Housekeeping cleaned our room one time during our week stay, I feel at minimum they should come by 2 times and at least empty the trash cans at a hotel that is 500+ per night.

Stayed here a few days in November. Room and maid were great, but that is where it ended. Concierge and Valet staff were rude, there was a line when I wanted to check out, waited 15 min and it hadn't moved and no one else came to help. Gave up after that and just dropped my key off. There are VERY Poor maps and signs making it difficult to find your way around. The Hotel page on the TV only showed a picture of the room, no information, causing us to miss the fireworks. There was also what appeared to be a homeless person walking in the hotel (not sure), but there are NO securities in place to prevent this. Not once did I need my key but for my room, so everywhere is open to the public.

Family Fun Spot!! There is so much on this property. The room was spacious and a great view. There is so many shops, restaurants and activities going on at this resort. The Tropics Bar and grill has a great breakfast. Ask for Brian A. He saved us with a wonderful suggestion. Thank you Brian with an A. Full concierge service to help you with anything you would like to do. You really have no need to leave. But you should see more of the island. So much to do and see. But this as home base!! Can't go wrong. The beach on this property is amazing. My only issue was with the parking. We could not get our key to work in the garage. It took a day and three key changes to get the gates going in and out to work. But the property and the employees are great. One snafu did not spoil the experience.

The Laylow is a great option in Waikiki if you don't need to be right on the beach. Location is convenient, but the view from our balcony was of a parking lot. The rooms were well-appointed, but are near due for updates. The furniture have been well used. There was a slight smell in our room as well (musty? Mildew?). Service was good overall, but housekeeping did miss cleaning our room one day. Valet costs $65 per night, and they did not always retrieve the car when we called down ahead (we had to go to valet stand). The poolside shaved ice is a cute treat. And the welcome gift basket was a nice touch. The beach tote came in handy. I would recommend staying here, but would personally consider other options on a return visit. (Stayed September 2025)

I have stayed at many of the 4 star properties in Waikiki and this one is just not worth the price. This hotel is sandwiched between two multi level parking garages so that kills a lot of the views and vibe. The pool area does not have a hot tub, is right next to a parking garage, is subject to a lot of street noise and it was under construction while I was there. The restaurant takes up most of the lobby level so there isn’t actually that much space to lounge around and hang out. Also, the restaurant was booked out for private events, multiple nights of the week so forget about sitting down and using your daily credit on dinner. The gym is small but adequate. The sparkling water fountain was out of order most of the time and the lemon water jug by the pool often stayed empty for hours. I will say, the free bike rental was a great perk and the Valet staff were amazing! (Shout out to Caleb!) Most of the features of this hotel fall under the ‘it’s fine’ category but the reality is the price per night is quite a bit more than the wayfinder or the surf jack (some of my favourites). There are many other hotels in Waikiki that offer nicer pools, nicer rooms, and nicer lanais for a cheaper price. I can’t recommend this property

Can't rave enough about this hotel. I love my Marriotts and was at another location downtown and saw this place online and checked it out..I moved hotels the next day. In the heart of the bustle of Waikiki, the vibe is awesome. The staff is engaged, funny, and helpful. Pool is nice, but smallish.. lots of loungers and umbrellas. Cold water nearby and on tap on every floor. Free arts and crafts daily and shave ice was from 1-2pm. The attached restaurant was good, staff was attentive. They have live music at night and keeps that vibe going. Valet was friendly. Rooms are good size with a couch and chair. Beds are comfortable and I want to sneak off with one of the pillows. I felt appreciate here and would encourage others to stay here, it's definitely one of my favorite Marriotts I've stayed at recently.

This review is mostly good with only one negative in terms of the breakfast vouchers for titanium elite. The hotel itself was really nice in a great area close to a bunch of restaurants and shopping areas and pretty easy to get around the island. The shower is beyond amazing. I’ll be buying that shower head as soon as I get home. Housekeeping was Johnny on the spot for the week. Sophie at check-in was fantastic and gave us some nice local insights into the beach scene. We discovered a local gem we may have missed otherwise. The valet team was amazing. We never really waited more than 5 minutes for the car. Ok so the vouchers. Only good for 4 items on the menu. Coffee and juice not included. When you are staying for a week 4 items and no cash value towards anything else kinda sucks. When the waitress gets defensive not realizing we stay at a Marriott for 1/3 of the year to get this benefit and by comparison M lounges and concierge levels provide a much better benefit it came across as pretty insulting. In conclusion, property and staff are solid, but find other options for breakfast if this is a longer stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Laylow! The location is within walking distance to the beach, many shops and restaurants. The front of house staffs and housekeepers are super helpful and friendly. Our room is clean and filled with basic amenities. The welcome gift basket was a pleasant surprise! One thing I missed is a coffee maker in the room, but then again, everything is just nearby (the ABC convenience store just right next door), so it's not a big issue (but i do not recommend the Hideout coffee corner, it's not very good). Overall I'll recommend this hotel for it's convenient location and great service!

The LayLow in Honolulu truly lives up to its hype! First off, the location is absolutely fantastic. It puts you right in the heart of the action in Waikiki—perfect for hopping between nightlife spots, restaurants, and shopping. Plus, you’re only about a five-minute stroll away from the beach, which is ideal. ​The hotel itself has a really vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant scene is constantly buzzing, featuring live music every night and turning into a proper party spot on the weekends! If you get a chance, their breakfast is seriously delicious and a great way to start the day. ​Finally, a quick shout-out to the staff—everyone was so friendly and efficient, making check-in and any requests effortless. My room was on the simpler side, but it was set up perfectly with a fun wooden shelf with books and decorations. Having that small balcony was the cherry on top for enjoying the fresh air. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

This Hotel is average in most aspects. Location includes a noisy bar / restaurant downstairs. Recognition of platinum and higher elites are low. Service and attitudes are average. Close enough to walk to beach in a few minutes. PLUS SIDE: less costly than other hotels and nice welcome basket. This hotel could really use a refresh. Their $50 per night resort to hotel amenities fee is, well, not a good value. I spoke to management. They are not accommodating to returning Elite members. They bill themselves as a boutique hotel but are very corporate with little flexibility. Not worth it.

We absolutely loved the Grand Waikikian!! Everything was light and airy. The staff were friendly and oh so helpful. The hotel is very close to all the fun things to do in Waikiki. Most places are walkable actually. Our rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated. We can't wait to go back!!

Hilton Grand Vacations Club The Grand Islander Waikiki Honolulu is an ideal destination for a family getaway, and it perfectly suited our group of five. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome from the front desk set the tone for a truly memorable stay. The staff was attentive and thoughtful, always ready to assist with anything we needed, which made us feel completely cared for. Our suite was spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The elegant design and comfortable layout provided plenty of room for everyone to relax. Large windows offered breathtaking views of Waikiki’s coastline and lush surroundings, adding a touch of romance to the atmosphere. Dining was another highlight. Every meal we tried was fresh and delicious, showcasing a variety of flavors that pleased both adults and children. Whether enjoying breakfast by the pool or dinner with a sunset view, the food consistently impressed us. The overall setting of the resort is stunning—tropical gardens, shimmering pools, and easy beach access create a peaceful and luxurious escape. We enjoyed every moment, from morning swims to evening walks under the stars. Our stay at The Grand Islander was truly unforgettable, combining excellent service, exceptional food, and a beautiful environment. I highly recommend it for families seeking a relaxing and romantic vacation in Honolulu.

The only thing going for this place is the view and the location. The staff has been friendly overall, so this is not on them. I do not recommend spending your money here. Everything closes early. You hear about Hawaiian time, but we feel like we are on Hilton’s time. The adult pool closes at 6 PM. The rest of the pools are people soup. The sheets are crappy, and they barely provide any actual dishes for the condo units. Things could be different if you’re staying with a family, but we are staying as a couple on our honeymoon and it’s about as lackluster as you can get. Update: AC stopped working overnight. Isn’t it fun to wake up to a muggy room at 4am? We talked at the front desk in the morning, in which we were promised a manager would call us because they were currently not available. That never happened. We had to go down again when it broke again at midnight and finally got a maintenance guy to at least get it up and running. I really do expect better when spending this much on a vacation. It’s kind of impressively bad. I’m a Hilton gold member and have stayed at many properties around the world. This property hits the bottom of the list. Do better Hilton.

Beautiful traditional Hawaiian decor with native woods, artifacts and history on display. The lobby is open air to enjoy the trade winds. Rooms are spacious and immaculate. View will depend on how much you are willing to pay: city view or ocean view. I will likely return yearly to enjoy the warm waters and all the amenities of the Hilton properties.

We are here currently, and we are highly disappointed. For the price, the rooms are nice, 2 bedroom suite was as advertised (except we asked for a 1 king room 2 double room and got 2 king but that’s neither here nor there). There is a washer dryer and kitchen in the rooms which is convenient. The elevators are the worst, constantly a long line lasting 15+ minutes. Just resorted to taking the stairs the majority of our trip. We are severely disappointed in the amenities. The one interesting pool with slides for the kids is closed for ‘bee activity” all 4 days we are here, which makes the other two pools insanely crowded. Everything around the resort is extremely expensive. There is also no gate or barrier or fence separating the on site pools with the public park next door so there’s constantly people coming from that park to the hotel pools. Location is pretty good, in a very urban area so it’s pretty loud at night. Recommendation: Find somewhere else farther from the city with better amenities.

You would not find a fault at this hotel except the prices for drinks 1 small. Larger which tastes like colourd water 10 dollar's. Go outside the hotel plenty of bars. Good beer ,9 dollar's for Pint

If you want to stay right downtown in the heart of things, this is the perfect place to stay. You can walk out your door and walk across the street to Starbucks, and enjoy a multitude of restaurants of shops. The beach is very disappointing when you walk over to it it’s narrow and extremely rocky. We did not spend any time on the Waikiki Beach, but had to rent a car and go to other beaches instead. The pool was extremely disappointing. It is basically just a long hot tub looking. If I had children, they would’ve been devastated. The bartender was very rarely at the bar sometimes gone for an hour or more. They have one restaurant on site which is Italian, which was very good, but do not have gluten-free options if that’s something you’re interested in. There is a staff member named Allen who was extremely helpful at the front desk. Very kind and knowledgeable. We struggled with the concierge, who appeared to honestly had never even been to the beach since she had very little knowledge of the surrounding area. We had to use ChatGPT to get information because the concierge did not seem to know what she was talking about at all. There is a target within walking distance. I would recommend you go there and pick up an umbrella and lawn chair as opposed to renting. It is much cheaper. We also used Turo to rent a car and it was very convenient just located about 3/10 of a mile from the hotel. One bonus, the rooms have all been redone and are beautiful, very tiny, but beautiful.

Location is Awesome! Everything is in walking distance. Starbucks is across the street. Waikiki Beach/ Ft. Derussy Beach is 10-12 minutes walking distance from Hotel. Lot's of high in stores. People are nice Guest and Staff. The hot tub & pool are on the 18th floor which had a wonderful views. Awesome experience would stay longer than 1 week.

9+ Years and Still Our Favorite! We’ve been staying at Hokulani for over 9 years, and it continues to be our all-time favorite hotel in Waikiki. You simply can’t find another place like this—it’s spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained. The suites are big, well-equipped, and perfect for families. What truly sets Hokulani apart is how thoughtful and family-friendly the entire experience is. Every time we return, it feels like coming home. The staff are always warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is peaceful yet close to everything. We will definitely be back again next year. Thank you Hokulani for always making our stay feel special 💛

10/10 This is probably the best suite I’ve ever stayed in within this price range. Even though it’s a timeshare property, I think it’s totally worth paying the regular rate. Honestly, I’m surprised it’s only rated as a 3-star hotel — the room feels better than most of 4-star hotels I’ve stayed at, and even comparable to 5-star ones (though to be fair, I’ve only stayed in entry-level rooms 😂). First of all, I have to give huge praise to the in-room amenities. The kitchenette is incredibly well-equipped, with a full-sized fridge and even two large TVs. Beyond just being functional, the furnishings and decor feel very upscale — lots of real wood and a warm, inviting lighting setup throughout the room. I also really liked the bathroom. It’s spacious, comes with two sinks and two closets, which makes things super convenient. I usually find at least one or two things to nitpick about hotel rooms, but in this case, I honestly have no complaints. The entire space is thoughtfully designed and extremely comfortable to stay in. And I also want to give a shout out to all the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful — from the front desk to room service, bellmen, and valet. Always smiling, patient, and quick to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality really made the stay feel special. The only area that might feel a bit lacking is the onsite offerings. There’s only a small dinner restaurant, and I didn’t notice amenities like a spa or massage services. I’m not sure if they have meeting rooms either. My Hilton Diamond status didn’t really provide any perks here — no breakfast included, and no outlet to use the daily credit. That said, they do offer some light activities like rooftop movie nights and lei-making classes. Overall, this is the perfect place to stay if you’re spending your days exploring Hawaii and just need a beautiful, comfortable place to relax at night. Just don’t expect a full-scale resort experience where you’ll spend the entire day on the property.

Hilton Hokulani is home away from home you can’t go wrong with this HOTEL. Bedroom with closets dresser and tv. Big bathroom with a tv. Living room with tv closet dresser kitchen to cook tables and chairs to eat. Roof top pool Can’t wait to go back to HGV Hokulani No room service everyday Thanks Chris you’re the best.

Great staff accomidations are grand,bathroom is luxurious and rooms are great spacious and quiet. The kitchen is well put together and perfect for an amazing stay. Relaxing on the roof top pool deck is very inviting.

The Hokulani was a good place to stay and it was very clean. Only things that affected our stay 1) there was no ice machine 2) the pool was really tiny and had not been maintained very well. My son & his friend both got pretty deep cuts on their feet. I did call the front desk to let them know on our last day as my son’s friend’s dad had called to let us know that the cut was deep. When I called to let the front desk know the person I talked to made me feel like I was lying. In the end they were nice but it just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I personally have no complaints about my stay here. They are in the middle of doing improvements. What I liked a lot is that after we checked out, they kept our bags and we were allowed to use the pool shower and pool towel as our flight was late in the evening. Much appreciated.

Everything was perfect. We had a 9 nights room booked. The view was stunning, seeing the mountains, sunrise, Diamond Head Crater and the ocean from the balcony. We had the room at the 26th floor and it was the best room had. Our stay was made much nicer by Christieann who is the most adorable receptionist we ever met. She was happy all the time, smiling, explaining everything to us when we needed additional info. At the 3rd floor there is laundry and the washing is 3.50 usd and drying 3.75 usd, you need to use quarters but you can change it at the reception. They have tap water in the room. Also they have pool on the roof, bbq area and sauna. We had a late flight and we could leave only baggages at the reception and take them later. Also when we got back to take our baggages, you can go and do a shower if you need. The beach towels and chairs are included in the resort fee. On the ground floor you can find water with lemon during the day. They also have parking, but we didn’t need it. In the room you have coffee and it is replanished when the cleaning is made. Definitely recommend it!

The Pacific Monarch was fantastic. Right on Kuhio Street, just two blocks from the beach and two blocks from the International Marketplace, made it perfectly located in Waikiki. It was also right across the street from a public bus stop, making it extremely convenient for us. Our room was excellent with a large, sitting balcony with a partial ocean view, a living room/kitchenette, and separate bedroom, also with balcony access. The hotel had beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas for free and desk staff were helpful and friendly. Only issue was the new construction going on next door that was pretty loud during the day, but nothing the Pacific Monarch can do about that, and it's only temporary. Would absolutely stay here again. Loved it.

We stayed at the Pacific Monarch for four nights and had a really good experience. The location was excellent with just a short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The room was decent, but what made the stay stand out was the service. I am giving this five stars because of the wonderful staff, especially Christinean, who showed true Hawaiian hospitality and kindness. Our flight was delayed until later in the evening and she made sure our luggage was safely stored so we could still enjoy our last day without worry. Like with any vacation, small things come up, and she was always willing to step in and help. Thanks to her efforts, our stay felt stress free and much more enjoyable.

The biggest thing this hotel has going for it is that it is two blocks from the Waikiki Beach and plenty of stores. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5 star con location is because there are better location "access" hotels. However, this is a very convenient location. Service is not a bad thing, but they will only refresh your rooms every three days. That was not a problem for us. They do provide plenty of towels and wash cloths. The rooms are my biggest problem. The pictures they show are not reality. Not sure which rooms they took the very nice pictures of, but we did not get one of those rooms. The hotel is in need of renovation. our tub/shower looks to have been repaired multiple times. the furniture is old and the outside glass does not keep heat out. Which is probably why our room was not cool the whole time we were there. The air conditioner is too small for the room. and it's off in a corner so it cannot proper cool the room. They do provide a fan, but even with that it just cannot keep up with the heat. It is cooler on the street with a breeze. Having said all of that, most people don't come for the hotel, they come to get to the beach.

Except for the location, there’s really nothing good about this hotel. I stayed here for 4 days and was disappointed from the moment I arrived. Parking costs $35 per day with no valet service, which feels unreasonable for what’s offered. The vending machines were empty the entire time, and the elevators were painfully slow, to make matters worse, one of the three elevators was out of service during my entire stay, causing long waits every time I needed to get to my room. The room was by far the biggest letdown. The curtains looked like they hadn’t been washed in ages and also has holes 😂, the floor felt dusty and unclean as soon as I stepped in, and, to top it all off, I found four cockroaches during my stay. This was unacceptable and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. For the price and reputation, I expected at least basic cleanliness and functioning amenities, but the hotel failed on nearly every front. I will not be staying here again and would not recommend it to anyone, the only redeeming quality is the convenient location.

Location is great! Just walking distance from the beach, many restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Anytime we will call to get towels, they will come within mins. Now, if you are looking for a nice and updated room, look somewhere else. Unfortunately the rooms and not very nice. The cleaning service is not the best. All they do is make the bed, provide clean towels, and take the trash out. Forget about dusting, mopping/sweeping, or anything else. They informed us that they were short staffed. We were there for 8 days and our room was “cleaned” two times. The employees do the best they can, so i dont blame them but owners should do better! Their elevators broke like 3 times during our stay. We had to wait 15mins each time. They will get someone to work on it right away, but it was an inconvenience. Parking is $35 per day which i did my research and ALL the hotels in the area will charge for parking too so i wasnt mad about that. There is a $275 fee when you check in for amenities( does not include cleaning)

They felt like family! Great staff! Shout out to Lincoln ( the best front desk guy ever) and such a great and friendly housekeeping department along with some awesome bartenders, they were some of the best people ever! Such a Cute boutique hotel with charm and history! And they give you a cute little chocolate covered pineapple cookie in your room at check in. Would have gave 5 stars but parking is difficult to get there, you have to find parking garages to park at and walk back to hotel. But I feel like that's everywhere downtown. It's not their fault.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! The location is great! The staff is so accommodating! The onsite bar & cafe is friendly, so good and affordable! This was the 2nd part of our honeymoon and we felt really treasured. The location is walking distance to a bunch of stuff - honestly probably didn't need a car. Downside is there's not too much parking - but literally across the street is a parking garage while you wait for a reserved spot. Rooms were clean (it's a green hotel - so keep in mind you can request full clean up service, but to reserve water & environment the beds are done every other day), staff was top notch!

Good hotel option if you're looking to stay in Waikiki and save a bit of money. The staff is all very friendly. It is close enough to the beach (about a 10 min walk). They offer free towels and chairs for the beach, have a small pool on site, a bar downstairs (that a core group of locals seem to frequent), simple breakfast options thay you can pay for, and limited on site parking for a fee ($30-35 per night). They do not have on site laundry which I was looking for since we were on vacation for almost 2 weeks, but there are some laundromats in the area that can be accessed fairly easily.

Great location and price. The staff were great and we were able to check in 4 hours early, and leave our bags with them after check out for several hours. The rooms are a bit noisy as they are facing the street, but nothing that would keep you awake at night. Would definitely return here in the future

We are stayed here after our flight got delayed by several hours. And it was affordable and the employees were really nice. Next time we visit Hawaii I will definitely stay here again instead of paying 3 times more at the Hilton village

The employees are very friendly and helpful and nice , no doubt. But this reweiw is for the hotel. Rooms not really clean, old, need alot of repairs, shower wasn't really good, the hotel charge alot of fees and Taxes, maybe you should ask before you book. For the price you pay you will get in other places better rooms für sure

This is what I consider to be a boutique hotel with the charm of a bed-n-breakfast! The beds were comfy with probably the best hotel pillows I’ve ever slept on! Everyone from the receptionist, to the bar staff, to housekeeping was so welcoming and friendly. Shower pressure was a great and the temperature was hot, in a good way! My kids didn’t utilize the pool but others in our party did. There are several restaurants within walking distance. While close to a main road, the traffic didn’t bother us at night and I rarely heard it over the hum of our ac unit. If you have an opportunity to support local, definitely 100% stay here!!!

Located right at Waikiki beach, free beach accessories loan, and an amazing new grab n go cafe at the lobby. The rooms are comfy and spacious, not movie luxurious but you didn't come to Hawaii to stow away in a hotel room. Staff and service are amazing. Flexible, happy to make recommendations, and always with smiles and aloha. You just feel good about staying here because of the way they seem to genuinely love hosting people at the hotel. That's the differentiator at Hotel Renew, it's not just somewhere to put your stuff down and crash, it's a pleasant and friendly foundation for a really great trip.

Excellent little hotel in the perfect location on my favorite side of Waikiki! Room was clean and a nice size, particularly for the price point. Excellent Kamaaina special which included no resort fee and 50% off valet parking which was great. Even better than the room and price was the excellent and friendly staff. Always smiling and ready to help me out with whatever ask I had. Already planning another stay here.

This hotel was so much more than expected. The beach is right across the street. If you want to just play with the kids in the no wake zone it’s great for that, but if you want to surf it’s right there too. The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating. They have beach and sand toys you can borrow. And there are other spoilers that I don’t want to reveal because it’s so cool to experience them without expectation. You gotta check it out. The room was on the small side but very tastefully decorated and clean. I will definitely stay here again next time.

The staff smiled and acted nice, but it didn’t feel genuine, they didn’t really care or want to help us. There were unexpected hotel fees of $41 per night. I authorized the charge for just a couple of nights while I looked for another place to stay, but within minutes I got a bank notification showing they charged me for the entire booking period. I didn’t plan to stay there that long, so it felt dishonest. You really have to keep an eye on them to avoid being overcharged. The rooms are not that good as on the pictures. I was kind of disappointed when I checked in. The wooden blinds were broken, and the AC blinds didn’t work either. The AC itself was very old and extremely loud. The bathroom vent was so dirty you could actually see a layer of gunk and dust stuck inside The parking situation was disappointing. They charge the same price as other hotels, but the quality and convenience are nowhere near as good. And even if you’re willing to pay, there are very few spots available - it’s often full. The street around the hotel is always packed too, so if the parking is full, you’ll have to leave your car far away and walk back. Overall, the price is not fair for what you get. The quality of the hotel is poor, and some of the staff didn’t feel genuine - they were just pretending to be nice. Only a few of the male staff members seemed truly helpful and sincere. We didn’t even wait- we decided to move out and stay somewhere else, and it was a huge difference. After I moved out, I finally felt like I actually came for a vacation and could relax.

Overpriced and disappointed with what we got. The photos are good / misleading (pics of amazing views where the actual room looks directly at a building). The inclusions are misleading too - e.g. the gym they spruik about is actually 15 - 20 minute walk away. No in room facilities and the complimentary coffee is out of order. Staff not entirely helpful. Location is good but the hotel itself? There's better out there.

I’ve stayed at the Sheraton and the Hilton before, but the service from a woman named Jolin here was by far the best! It was our honeymoon, and she surprised us with a celebration — it was truly touching.

Great location! Amenities such as kitchenette, washer/dryer is a big plus if they work and not outdated. Every condo is different. I won't mentioned the condo number we stayed in to be fair. Next to the beach and famous steak shack. Watching Friday's fireworks from the balcony of your room is magnificent. Overall, we truly enjoyed the stay.

Great place to stay in the convenient location with many shops and restaurants nearby. It offers spacious rooms, parking on site, and awesome ocean view over the park and WW2 museum. Our studio room was a bit dated, but it had everything you need and even more, including washer and dryer, big fridge, cutlery and utensils.

We loved our stay at Castle Waikiki Shore! We loved the fact that we could go out our front door and see all the way down the beach to Diamond Head or go out on our lanai and see all the way down to the Marina. The only better view would be to have an end unit. If it's about the view, make sure you ask for a room above the 10th floor. If you're just happy to have a beach front location, floor doesn't matter. We had a studio room the first night (decent sized room with a split garden and ocean views on the 5th floor), but decided to upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite for the remainder of our stay to pamper ourselves (larger kitchen with living room seating on the 14th floor). We were one floor under the penthouse and the views were perfect. Some of the rooms could use some updating where these are individually owned units, but they are super clean and fresh and still have good asthetics. Afterall, we were there for the beach and island experience, not to hang out in the room. One added benefit was the Steak Shack and Lahaina Shave Ice beachfront of the hotel. Both were delicious. Don't forget to ask for your shaved ice to come drizzeled.

The location is amazing. Right on the beach, the little coffee and açai bowl shop in building is great. The cleaners were helpful when we needed more cleaning stuff. The room is alittle old and didn’t reflect the pictures when I booked but I would still recommend it and would definitely stay there again.

Castle Waikiki Shore – Truly a Hidden Gem! I was a little nervous about staying at Castle Waikiki Shore because of a few negative reviews I saw beforehand — but I’m so glad we decided to stay here! This hotel turned out to be an awesome surprise. Thank you Costco Travel for recommending this hotel for us. From the moment we arrived, the front-desk staff was friendly and helpful. There was a young man with short curly hair who went above and beyond to assist us. He helped not only with hotel questions but also with local island activities. He was knowledgeable, polite, and genuinely cared about making our stay enjoyable. The hotel itself was much nicer than I expected. The pictures online don’t do it justice. The beachside area behind the hotel was impressive — you can rent snorkel gear, surfboards, chairs, loungers, and umbrellas right there. Everything you need for a fun beach day is literally steps away! Another pleasant surprise was the restaurants located inside the hotel, which we didn’t even know about when we booked. The food and convenience were a big plus. We booked through Costco Travel, and they were outstanding to work with. They made the entire trip easy and stress-free, and the price for this location was excellent. Overall, Castle Waikiki Shore exceeded my expectations. It’s clean, convenient, and right on the beach — everything we hoped for and more. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Oahu!

Always loved this place! Easy living. Kitchenette and beautiful views. Easy access to the beach and stores. Parking is a bit much, but also worth having it underground and safe. I’ve stayed here 3 times and would definitely stay again. Mahalo

Was very cute and clean! The views and the balcony were amazing! It was perfect for me and I am so glad that I chose it. All of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful as well and make you feel welcome.

Our experience here was truly first class. The suite was super clean. The staff exceeded our expectations by far. It is truly one of the best hotels we have stayed. They are on par with Ritz Carlton Hong Kong, Marina Bay Sands Singapore, and Montage Kapalua Bay. We had a wonderful time. I would recommend the higher floors for the better views. There is an infinity pool and spa on the rooftop that can be enjoyed in private at reserved times.

We stayed at ESPACIO for 2 weeks while in Hawaii. And all I can say is their service is unmatched. And their generosity of all workers was outstanding. The rooms are clean and very spacious. Everything is exactly like pictured online. The restaurant food was amazing, and again every person we encountered was incredibly kind and personable. The valet guys were my favorite and helped with some amazing recommendations while there. Being on the front on Waikīkī (a very busy busy place) you feel like you’re in an oasis. I will be staying here again next time in Waikiki. Thank you ESPACIO.

ROACHES EVERYWHERE! Loud neighbors at night making moaning and thumping while everyone else is trying to sleep, good room service though and the location is beyond compare!

We stayed for 7 nights, and everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was perfect—luxuriously appointed with every amenity you could possibly need for a dream trip. The view was breathtaking, overlooking Waikiki and the iconic big banyan tree. A special treat was being able to watch the hula show from our balcony, as the hotel is right across from the Hula Mound stage. A huge thank you to Anna! My parents, who are in their mid-80s, faced a 15-hour flight delay due to weather in Korea. Anna went above and beyond to ensure they were comfortable and well taken care of until their departure. Without her help, the last day of their Hawaii trip could have been stressful and disappointing. Thanks to Anna, their trip ended on a positive note. Wesley was another standout staff member. Every morning, he treated us to the best breakfast experience. He was attentive and always made sure to accommodate our requests. His kindness and professionalism made each day start off perfectly. The pool on the top floor was amazing! Being able to reserve it for private family use was such a unique and luxurious experience. The location is unbeatable, and the staff is warm and friendly. Despite my parents' flight delay, which could have ruined the last day of our trip, Anna and the team saved the day and left us with wonderful memories. In my 50 years, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hawaii—you won't regret it! Thank you to the amazing team for making our stay unforgettable!

We stayed at Espacio for 5 nights in the Ruby suite. From the moment of arrival at the airport everything went smoothly. The welcome was warm with a delicious drink. The suite was already ready. We stayed here with our two daughters aged 15 and 12. The space was so nice. And the location! While we had a delicious meal in Mugen, the ladies were still walking around the boulevard. Roof terrace with pool was great. And Douglas, thanks for the delicious BBQ on the roof! We had a fantastic time and would love to come back again.

It is definitely worth the money. From the moment we booked until we left to go back home, we were catered to. They stayed in communication with us and let us know when our room was ready. The rooms were amazing and high tech. You have your own floor. You can play music on the speakers in the bathroom or kitchen with a touch of a button.The views were amazing and you have your own personal jacuzzi. You have to reserve the roof top pool but it will belong to only your party for 90min. You can book a private chef for, I believe 250pp, or you can cook in the FULLY equipped kitchen. You can also request they grocery shop for you before your arrival. It is in the city so there is food in walking distance. We booked through America Express and received extra perks. I would highly recommend it. I will be back.

We booked a champagne and caviar tasting at this amazing location. Everything here is wonderful. We were greeted and escorted to the rooftop location for our experience. The staff were all fantastic. Mary, our server, was gracious, helpful, and just a pleasure to be around as we had the entire rooftop pool area to ourselves. We loved everything about this experience. Highly recommended. VIP treatment despite not being hotel guests.

Great run of you start at Waikiki Beach, about 8 miles round trip. Running the last part of Diamond Peak is challenging, going up the steps. You’ll have to walk portions of the trail to the peak as there are lots of people in line hiking it, but you’ll get a chance to pass and keep running. Amazing views around the island from the top!

It was not an easy hike, but the views at the end are amazing! Make a reservation online FOR SURE and pay for your entrance and parking ahead. Last time, we didn't do this and we're turned away. The guy at the gate said we could only stay for the 2 allotted hours, but the only way I would get out on time was by helicopter/flight for life. Nobody was checking anyway. Bring plenty of water and a hat. Make sure you have really good shoes, because the trail is steep and uneven in many spots. Sooo many stairs! When you get through the tunnel, go to the left. Less stairs, better views. Everything hurts, but worth it!

i’m not a hiker but i do travel around the world a lot and walk a lot and had to hike a few times but man going up was strenuous. maybe had to be because i was dehydrated and didn’t eat anything for breakfast. i had to take quite a few breaks because i was feeling nauseous. i’m glad i did it because it forced me to keep going and that’s what life is about. to keep going and pushing thru the hard things. the view at the top was amazing and worth it. the walk back down is 100x easier. bring water and try not to go mid day or the sun will be beating on u the whole time. i took a bus here from waikiki and it drops you off at the bottom. you have to walk up and thru the tunnel to reach the ticket booth. buy your tickets online early because slots do tend to sell out. it was 6.15 after fees online.

A spectacular place to hike at sunrise (make reservations early), the hike is short but steep, be prepared in your fitness level with water and electrolytes. And be prepared for crowds, but folks are good about sharing the trail. I caught a taxi up to the entrance, but walked back to the beach after, about 3 miles downhill from the summit.

Wow! It's a hike to get to the top, but achievable. Just be ready for narrow pathways and a somewhat claustrophobic tunnel, but relax its just a short distance and adds character to the hike. Once up you can see all around and even go into the military pill box located ocean-side top. Just take your time and go at your pace and you'll be up before you know it. 🤙

Diamond Head is an absolute must-do hike when visiting Hawaii! The trail itself is relatively short in distance, but don’t be fooled—it does get steep and challenging in sections, especially near the end where stairs and narrow pathways lead you up to the summit. The effort, however, is more than worth it. Once you reach the top, you’re rewarded with some of the most breathtaking panoramic views of Waikiki, Honolulu, and the endless blue Pacific Ocean. On a clear day, you can see for miles in every direction, making it the perfect spot for photos and simply soaking in the beauty of the island. I recommend going early in the morning, not only to avoid the midday heat but also to beat the crowds, since this is one of Oahu’s most popular attractions. Bring water, wear comfortable shoes, and take your time—the trail is well-maintained but can be uneven in spots. The hike is doable for most fitness levels, and the sense of accomplishment at the summit is incredible. Diamond Head perfectly combines a bit of exercise, history, and world-class scenery, making it a highlight of any trip to Hawaii.

The total walk is just under 2 miles and the trail is generally well maintained. As you get close to the top you need to be able to climb quite a few stairs. It is recommended to you go early in the morning. The views from the top are great.

Nice to learn about the history of Hawaii and loyal family. This palace was not an actual palace that king lived in it was just one of the places he stayed when he had a guess. Sadly, the basement was closed for maintenance, so I only went two floors of the palace. No taking video inside only noncommercial camera without flash. They have self-audio tour so you can choose which room you want to go, and most people just follow the room number. Overall is not bad and kids will like it but I just feel it is kind of small compared to the ticket price.

Great cultural experience of the history of Hawaii from King Kamehameha on. The palace is extremely impressive with the portraits and technology that was ahead of its time. This is a definite must see to truly understand and embrace the true Hawaii!

An icon of Hawaiian history and heritage. The guided audio tour was very well organized without being overwhelming. The information presented in the audio narration was concise without missing important details - there were many excerpts included from letters and diaries of the Hawaiian royals and their associates which added great atmosphere to the overall experience. The palace itself is beautiful and very well maintained. There are many spots on the palace lawns to sit and relax and take in the surroundings. There's also a massive Banyan tree behind the palace, not sure how old, but nonetheless magnificent to behold. Highly recommend visiting the Iolani Palace if you can.

If you're a history nerd and hate the whitewashing of Hawaiian history, definitely visit the Iolani Palace. We did the audio tour which I made me wish we did the docent tour just so I could ask questions. The palace is stunning, and they did an amazing job restoring it and continuing to maintain it. They do provide wheelchairs which my partner and I needed due to different foot injuries, but it's very difficult to navigate as the door frames are very small and some rooms you'll need to go a different route to enter.

I enjoyed this visit. It was pretty well kept and the audio guides were very helpful. We could also bring our baby in a stroller with no issues - there is an elevator inside. The workers were also very friendly and help us navigate the building. Mahalo!

It happened to pass by and watch a free concert with The Royal Hawaiian Band. Very relaxing afternoon with great singers and a lovely lady with soft Hawaiian dancing. Music is great and soft. Easy listening. Thank you for the great performance 👏👏👏

The best malasadas that you can buy in Hawaii! This is a legendary spot to taste the the best malasadas you'll ever have! It's always crowded. The customer service is great and everything is always hand-delivered fresh to you. When you take a bite it literally melts in your mouth. They have a variety of selections with different feelings you can choose from, or you can get the original with no filling. The choice is yours, they also have cold coffees that are really good. This is a dessert that you must try while you're in Hawaii! World famous Leonard's!

We stopped by Leonard’s Bakery for breakfast with my wife and daughter, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! We ordered one of each malasada puff — chocolate, hopia, custard, guava, macadamia, and the special flavor, pumpkin. Every single one was delicious, but the guava was my favorite — light, fluffy, and full of flavor. We even had a fun moment chatting with a Filipina staff member who happened to be from the neighborhood right next to my wife’s back home in the Philippines — such a small world! Don’t let the hoard of people standing out front scare you away - they are very efficient and we were in and out within 10 minutes! The malasadas were fresh, warm, and perfect! We’ll likely go back again before our trip is over — and honestly, you should too!

Leonard’s Bakery is a must try when you're in Hawai’i! Their special pastry dough is fried to perfection — light and fluffy. . When we first arrived, the crowd was pretty intense, and we thought the wait might take forever, but it turned out to be pretty quick. I was able to order right away since everyone was just waiting for their food. There’s no seating inside—it's mainly a to-go spot. I ordered two malasadas, one with cinnamon sugar and another filled with guava. I also ordered a Portuguese sausage wrap and an iced coffee. It took about 15 minutes for our food, which was pretty fast! My husband and I loved the malasadas and the sausage wrap. The iced coffee wasn't really my favorite, but overall, everything else was great. If you're in Hawai’i, make sure to check them out!

When visiting Oahu, several locals told me, “You can’t leave the island without trying Leonard’s Bakery!” — and wow, they were 100% right. This place truly lives up to the hype. Yes, the line can be long and parking can be a bit of a challenge, but the staff keeps things moving, and the sweet smell coming from the kitchen makes the wait totally worth it. My biggest tip: eat them while they’re hot and fresh — that first bite is pure heaven! Leonard’s is one of those must-visit spots that completely lives up to its legendary reputation. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning fan, these malasadas are a little piece of Hawaiian magic you’ll be dreaming about long after your trip ends. Don’t miss it!

Easy to find, however once you see it you better turn in or you'll have to reroute your way back. Parking lot is small, so if you get a parking spot consider yourself lucky. Order inside wait outside, easy flow. The pastry is a Portuguese malasada, and it is absolutely DELICIOUS! I got the cinnamon pastry. I should have ordered more, especially a few cream filled ones. They make to order, be patient, enjoy the weather, it's WORTH it.

The parking lot is super super small! The line to order was fast pace. I didn’t wait long for the doughnuts but it was so good! It was nice, fluffy, and warm.

Went around 4pm and waited 15-20 minutes. We got one of each flavor. TBH I only liked the cinnamon and custard ones. The other flavors just tasted very very light. They came out warm which was nice but they do not taste good when they’re not warm.

If you have little ones or just love seeing animals, I definitely recommend spending some time at the Honolulu Zoo! It’s such a fun and relaxing spot right in Waikīkī, and it’s perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for something enjoyable to do outdoors. We visited in October with our family of 10, including several young kids, and everyone had a great time. The weather was absolutely perfect — warm but not too hot — and there was plenty of shade throughout the zoo to keep things comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept, and the staff we interacted with were friendly and welcoming. This isn’t necessarily an all-day adventure, but that’s part of what makes it great. You can easily see everything in about half a day and still feel like you got the full experience. There’s a nice variety of animals to see — some of our favorites were the different monkeys, the giraffes, the hippo, the lion, and the tiger. The bird exhibits were also amazing, with so many colorful and unique species. The kids were especially fascinated by the monkeys and loved watching them swing around and play. We appreciated that the zoo was clean, easy to navigate, and not overly crowded when we went. There are spots to grab snacks or drinks, and it’s located near plenty of places to eat if you want to grab lunch afterward. The price of admission is very reasonable, especially considering how much fun and learning it offers for kids and adults alike. Overall, we had such a great experience at the Honolulu Zoo. It’s the perfect half-day outing for families visiting Oʻahu — educational, entertaining, and just the right pace for a relaxing day. Highly recommend adding it to your list of things to do while in Honolulu!

Nice staff, clean grounds, and a decent variety of animals. Elephants, giraffes, and African Penguins were some of our favorites. Some spaces were under renovation. We didn’t realize until we were there that they also have a nighttime at the zoo event on some Saturdays. Take sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle.

This is the cleanest zoo I’ve ever been to and had a lot of variety of animals. I got to take my husband here for his first ever zoo experience. I love the exhibits and how it felt like you were in a world away from the city with the trees and landscape. I can tell the staff really takes care of the animals. Definitely hit up their cafe as they have delicious options that will surely satisfy your hunger. We spent a long time there as we wanted to see everything and get our tickets worth. Make sure to wear comfy shoes as it will take you more than two hours to see everything. We went on a weekday close to opening and it wasn’t too busy.

For $21 per adult and free for our 18 month old daughter, there is value for what you pay. That said, many exhibits were closed. We were able to enter without any wait. Bird heavy zoo/exhibits. Elephants, Giraffes and lions were my favorite. The highlight was the gibbons being quite lively (see video, volume up)! The giant koi fish were impressive as well. You’re definitely getting your steps in visiting this zoo! Be sure to pay for parking at the pay station before you enter and leave the receipt on your dashboard. Fair amount of parking.

Amazing zoo! Great half off Veteran and Military discount. Get there early because it can be hot and lots to see! The monkeys, tigers, and little foxes were my favorite. Amazing date idea if you have some down time in Oahu or need some laid back to do in walking distance.

The Honolulu Zoo was a great outing. In actual exhibits it’s light compared to other zoos we’ve been too, but the grounds a lovely. The trees and fauna are gorgeous. Every part of the experience was enjoyable.

Waikiki Aquarium: A Mix of Old Charm and Marine Wonders The Waikiki Aquarium offers a fascinating glimpse into Hawaii's marine life, but it's a bit of a mixed bag. Parking is limited, though weekdays offer a better chance of snagging a spot. The outdoor exhibits are currently under renovation, which is a bummer, but the indoor displays are where the aquarium truly shines. The jellyfish are mesmerizing, and the grouper is a definite highlight. You'll also find plenty of other cool creatures to admire. The seahorses were especially amazing! However, the aquarium's age shows in some areas. Some of the signage and stickers feel a bit outdated. Still, if you're looking for a quick and easy way to see some amazing marine animals, and at a relatively cheap price, the Waikiki Aquarium is worth a visit.

Visited this aquarium on the way to Diamond Head monument. Not too expensive to get in. We paid on the door. Loads of aquatic tanks of various sizes - containing a variety of tropical and local fish. Some tanks seem a bit small for the fish - but plenty to see and some expansion is still going on (I believe). Had a couple of school visits on the day we visited. A couple of experts on hand to explain the fish and history of local aquatic life. If you’ve got time on your hands I’d suggest popping into here to kill a bit of time. The blue jellyfish tank is cool.

We were looking for an escape from the heat and this was not it. There was no AC in this place. We paid $12 a person but half of this place is closed. We were in and out in under an hour. Theres maybe five rooms tops with tanks on three walls each. Many of the tanks seem very small or overcrowded for what is being stored in there. Two of the seahorses we saw looked like they were dying (discolored and falling forward on their face in the sand). The outdoor exhibits were closed. I don't know what used to be there but from what we could see it was a small monk seal exhibit. It's says they are working on refurbishments but I'm not sure what all that entails. And given the space they are working with I can't imagine it will be that much bigger. I'm all for animal and sea/ocean conservation, but I feel like more should be available to justify charging people full price. Or at least let the crowds/people know that most exhibits aren't available.

Very cute and quaint gem, very cool to visit the second oldest aquarium in the US. It was small but definitely enough cool marine life to see. The outdoor area had the seal and some coral. Inexpensive!

The aquarium is very very small. Only one exhibit was open at the time due to construction. The outdoor exhibit doesn't have anything other than the Monk Seal, which luckily we were able to see. It was only $12 USD per adult. Probably spent 1 hour here, but could've been less if we didn't sit to enjoy the AC for a bit.

Short and sweet visit to the Aquarium, doesn’t cost too much - so I can def recommend for a date, solo visit, or family trip! It is small, and sadly the seal exhibit was closed when I went… why I knocked a star.

The entry staff were friendly, but no other staff noted throughout aquarium. Many displays were not working, lighting not working at several displays. We saw a variety of tank fish, but all outdoor large animal areas were closed due to renovation.

We went there multiple times for shopping and to see the hula show. The hula show was great. The most we could ask for. Outdoor but since it’s inside the mall it was like indoor show. Performance was great and ambiance as well. Lot of options for food and shopping. Very close to many attractions nearby including street shopping, waikiki beach…

Yes, it is an upscale mall but super touristy. Lots of high-end store around, cafe and restaurant that seems too commercialized. Grand interior and exterior with trees and decorations. Cafe that youtubers and influencer said you must visit is too packed and careless about customer. Material girl vibes are all over around the place. Third floor is haunted with few places mostly on the second and first floor. For me this mall like a place to take a picture and do the content than the real malls that build for everyone.

This was my local shopping centre when I stayed on Kuhio Avenue. I mainly visited the ABC Stores (Masubi Specials kept me well fed) and Target, where I was on a mission to get Raspberry Acai flavoured Celcius Drink and some Goldfish snacks. There were plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes inside the centre as well.

Nice open mall in the center of Honolulu. Very clean and some nice stores. We went here to see the cirque show and spent about an hour checking out the shops beforehand.

Oh, my gosh, the International Market Place in Waikiki is an absolute shopping dream, weaving history and modern charm into a total stunner! I snagged one of their bento boxes, and let me tell you, it was a flavor-packed joyride—perfectly portioned rice, savory teriyaki, and fresh sushi bits that screamed “made with love.” It’s like Japan and Hawaii had a delicious baby! Every store here bursts with local flair—Hawaiian handmade jewelry, surf gear, big names like Saks Fifth Avenue, and quirky souvenir stalls that feel like love letters to the islands. It’s not just shopping; it’s a cultural adventure dripping with aloha. Right across from the Moana Surfrider, it’s a perfect stop after a Honolulu Coffee tea or a Duke statue lei moment. Parking’s $2 per 20 minutes with validation options; hit it after noon to dodge the crowds. 95/100—epic tree history, cozy vibes, and local charm that’ll steal your heart!

Just another POSITIVE REVIEW! Definitely come through for some fresh poke! Only downside is small parking lot & small seating area! But you should just take it to go and take it to the beach !! My boyfriend and I got spicy salmon and Hawaiian style ahi! 10/10 !

I ordered the Shoyu Tuna and Spicy Salmon combo poke, it is fresh and tasty. There's not a lot of sitting area, they have 2 benches by the parking lot. It's best for take out and enjoy at the beach.

One of the best poke spots on the island. The parking lot is tight and often busy, but it’s absolutely worth the effort. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the warm rice made each bite even better. We ordered two bowls:Shoyu Tako and Shoyu Ahi with furikake in one, Hawaiian Tako and Shoyu Ahi with furikake in the other, plus a side of Shoyu Salmon. Every bite was flavorful and authentic, high-quality poke that really stands out.

Really enjoyed my poke here! Tasted super fresh and was very filling!! They had fresh salmon so I got a combo of half salmon half tuna ut was GOOD. I came around 2pm on a Tuesday and luckily there was no line and I was able to grab a seat on the dining tables outside :) wish there was a bit more space outside, But I do get the appeal of a mainly takeout spot

Parking may be tough and there’s not many spots to see. Just keep that in mind if you’re coming here. The line to order moves quick! As for the food, I thought the poke was okay. Not my favorite in the area but I wanted to try since it was pretty popular. I got half half (spicy salmon and I forgot the other one it was ahi tuna)

The fish is fresh and flavorful with nice gummy texture, but unfortunately the white rice is the weak link here. Doesn't taste like sushi rice, and the texture is kind of dry like the jasmine rice I make at home. Does not pair as well as possibly can with the fish. Tight plaza with a few parking spots, and only a couple tables outside. Turnover is pretty quick though.

We visited this market on a Saturday morning and really enjoyed the experience. We arrived around 7:20 am, and there was still plenty of free parking available. At exactly 7:30, they blew a horn to signal the official opening, and the line of people started moving in — a nice touch that made it feel like a well-organized event. The atmosphere is lively, with live music, colorful stalls, and a wide variety of tropical fruits, fresh produce, and food vendors. I had a delicious açaí bowl and some freshly fried mochi balls that were crispy on the outside and soft inside. We also picked up some fresh dragon fruit. The only downside was not finding whole pineapples — some vendors had them for juice, but we were hoping to take one home. Aside from that, everything was very clean, well organized, and full of energy. The market gets busy quickly, so I recommend arriving early for easier parking and a more relaxed stroll. Overall: a vibrant and diverse farmers’ market, perfect for tasting local flavors and enjoying the outdoor vibe with Diamond Head as the backdrop. Definitely worth the early wake-up!

Le Saigon banh mi was too yolky and dry and the papaya salad was refreshing and light, but I prefer it to be more fishy and spicy. The mini lobster roll was good but was very expensive. Takoyaki was mid, nothing special. The fruit was tasty and sweet except for the pineapple, which was a little sour. Would recommend to get there early with ample parking and shorter lines. Was there for about an hour to walk through the entire market.

This Farmers Market is a little smaller than I thought. It is a popular place on visitor's guide. Morning summer weather is nice. Food and drinks are good. It is more than a food place than a farmers market. The prices of fruits are much higher than on the market in my opinion. It is worth to try the foods and drinks here. Parking might be easier if you try parking lots on the far side. It is not a bad idea to drop by diamond heads look out 5 mins away. Reservation is required if u want to go further to the crater.

We had so much fun here! Early Saturday morning, easy parking though it was very packed, people were leaving as we were coming in. It seemed like a consistent flip. There was a great variety of foods from coffees and breakfast to smoothies, Hawaiian, Mexican and beautiful Acai bowls plus fruit and vegetables to take home. I took a lot of local fruit home with me to last most of the week 🩷 can't get those flavors out of my head. Wish I could get them more easily in the 48.

A lovely market but smaller than I expected. Therefore more crowded with people. You can find many well-known local eats such as the pig and the lady here. Or fresh local fruits and veggies. Most of them accept card payments. Given the fresh greens are on the pricey side on the island, I would say here might be the best place to get tomatoes and such since they’re not so expensive and very good quality.

Always a good time! Huge selection of produce, food and drink and artisanal items. Go early and beat the crowds. Recommend taking a loop and checking out the prices on everything before you commit to purchasing because there can be some large differences for the same produce.

This is a lively local market that has a bit of everything. There are lots of freshly made food options, and it’s always bustling with people — a great place to visit on the weekend. The only downside is that the location and parking can be a bit inconvenient.

This center is the hub of shopping in the area. From high-end stores and restaurants to budget-friendly fashion and cafés, there’s something for everyone. The complex is huge, with an amazing layout and beautiful gardens. Even if you’re not staying at the connecting hotel, it’s worth walking through to see what catches your eye.

Smart street food, love the atmosphere. The casualties feel so relax. The best place to hang out with friends. Food is excellent. I loved the toast matcha so flavorful and not sweet just perfect.

Royal Hawaiian Center (2201 Kalakaua Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815) is a beautiful and clean shopping center in the heart of Waikiki. It offers a wide variety of shops, from luxury brands like Tory Burch and Fendi to local boutiques, along with plenty of places to buy souvenirs. The food court has many options with good prices, and there are well-known restaurants like The Cheesecake Factory as well as smaller local eateries. The atmosphere is tropical, open, and inviting, with clean washrooms and plenty of space to walk around. It’s a great place to shop, eat, and spend time with family and friends. The reason for four stars instead of five is that most of the escalators were damaged and took far too long to be fixed, which made moving between floors a bit inconvenient. Other than that, the center is well-maintained, clean, and definitely worth visiting when in Waikiki.

I attended the Rock-A-Hula show which is situated at the Royal Hawaiian Centre. If you get the chance to visit during Christmas time, the Royal Hawaiian Centre is transformed into a well lit, beautifully decorated Christmas wonderland.

Not sure what is going on with the carpet. Very retro. However, I'm assuming that's just the original look and not a specific style they are going for. I feel like there isn't enough natural light in some sections. I feel like something is missing from this mall. I cannot put my finger on it. I suppose this is a good place to visit if you have nothing to do. You would be able to spend about an hour here before wondering if there was something better to do.

The mall is more upscale than it used to be with several boutiques for clothing as well as niche food offerings. Some standard offerings like Jamba / Starbucks. There were far more tourists in the mall than there were 10-15 years ago. It would likely be a safe place for kids to hang out with friends, but it's pricier than I would imagine the average teen can afford independently.

Ok, on the expensive side, needs much more ev charge stations, two is not nearly enough, see ev cars circling around them all day hoping for a charge. No solar panels on the building. Gamestop is good and the movie theaters are OK, but they got rid of the carpet and made it look like a McDonald's interior. Wholes food and taco bell are place alright to eat, and cake is.good if you wanna splurge. Need to be more green with solar and ev to help our green future success 🙌

I hardly ever come to this mall as I can find similar stores and more at Ala Moana. But this mall serves its purpose well for those who live in the area and don't want to fight the crowds and traffic. THE MALL: The enclosed mall is stuck in the 80's, décor wise. Parking is pretty limited especially near the Whole Foods side. HIGHLIGHTS: - 8 screen movie theater - Apple Store - Barnes & Noble - California Pizza Kitchen (highest grossing location in the company) - Chili's - Longs Drug - Macy's - Whole Foods (Hawaii's first location)

I love Kahala Mall!! Pretzel Maker, Marsha Nadalin Salon and Spa, Apple store, Longs, it's got it all, it's air conditioned and lots of great places to grab a bite. Mmm tomato bisque, now I gotta go back!

Lots of parking. Easy access. Enclosed and air conditioned. Opens before stores open and a great place to walk and window-shop then go into shops when they open. One circuit around is about a half mile. Nice selection of restaurants and drink places as well as stores. Festive seasonal decorations very pretty. Visit Santa!

Convenient, indoors. Diversity of stores and place to eat. Easy to navigate. Cool and convenient for Holiday shopping! 6/16/22 CPK on one wing is a nice place to hang if you wanna grab a quick bite, do a little errand shopping, and enjoy some a/c.
