Mai Tai Bar is a vibrant beachfront spot located at the Royal Hawaiian, offering an array of umbrella cocktails, appetizers, and live music. It's a festive and slick setting where you can enjoy the tropical vibes just steps away from the sand. The bar provides a perfect opportunity to savor fruity drinks while soaking in the stunning sunset views over the ocean.
What a beautiful outdoor restaurant located within the Royal Hawaiian hotel, right in front of the beach. This was where the first Mai Tai was created, so I had to order one! The food and service overall were fantastic, and the setting is unbelievable. We couldn't recommend this establishment highly enough. We had a great experience. If you are in the area, go here!
A R — Google review
The Mai Tais here are the best in town! Superbly mixed and really strong. One time for the trip is never enough so we came back again. Ask the servers for food recommendations. It really goes well with the drinks. Gets crowded almost all times of the day.
Samuel L — Google review
This place is hopping at night! There are great views, friendly staff, and everything is lit up and decorated pink. The drinks were delicious and there’s service bar food options were fun. We enjoyed listening to the music and taking in the views.
K — Google review
Great drinks, one each was enough to start us getting tipsy. Amazing truffle fries! And a beautiful view of the beach with a glimpse of Luau happening on the side. Perfect start to your Hawaiian holiday! 🌺
Shruti N — Google review
This place was awesome! Some of the best drinks and desserts on the islands. We went here multiple times during our honeymoon it was so fun to order fries and drinks while sitting on the beach. The service was the best in town
Princess D — Google review
If you're looking for the original Mai Tai, you've found it here. We arrived just as they were opening at 11. Our server didn't come to the table for a good 15 minutes, actually after one of us went to the bar to order our drinks. The drinks were excellent. The views are stellar.
Larry H — Google review
The Royal Hawaiian's Mai Tai bar could use a shake up. The mai tai drink we received was not strong and way too sweet, the menu I thought was bland, and the general seating/vibes setup boring. For a namesake of the famous drink and a mainstay for the hotel, this bar should be more remarkable. 3/5.
Jeremy Y — Google review
Picture this: you’re perched at the Mai Tai Bar, the sun’s dipping low over Waikiki’s golden horizon, and you’ve got a chilled Mai Tai in hand, the kind of drink that makes you feel like you’ve unlocked the secret to island life. This place is pure magic, and I’m not just saying that because a local tipped me off that their Mai Tai is the must-try cocktail on Oʻahu. Spoiler alert: they were so right! As the sky turns into a canvas of pinks, oranges, and purples, you’re sipping on this perfectly balanced blend of rum, tropical juices, and just the right amount of aloha spirit. Every sip is like a mini-vacation—fruity, refreshing, and with just enough kick to make you feel like you’re living your best life. The bartender’s got this down to an art, serving up drinks that taste like they were crafted by Hawaiian sunset gods. I mean, come on, is there anything better than watching surfers catch their last waves of the day while you’re toasting to paradise with a Mai Tai? Nope, didn’t think so! The vibe at the Mai Tai Bar is as laid-back as it gets, with a crowd that’s just the right mix of locals and visitors, all soaking in the same jaw-dropping view. It’s like the sunset and the cocktail are in cahoots, conspiring to make your evening unforgettable. The bar’s tucked into the perfect spot—close enough to feel the beachy breeze but elevated just enough for that postcard-worthy view of Waikiki Beach. And let’s be real, after a day of exploring (or maybe after chilling at spots like Haleʻiwa or the Moana Surfrider), this is the ultimate way to unwind. Pro tip: take that local’s advice like I did and order the classic Mai Tai. It’s not just a drink; it’s a full-on experience that screams “Hawaii, I love you!” Pair it with the sunset, some good company, and maybe a little daydreaming about your next island adventure. The Mai Tai Bar isn’t just a bar—it’s a memory-maker, and I’m already counting down to my next visit. Mahalo for the good times

Bar 35 is a popular spot in Chinatown and downtown Honolulu, offering a diverse selection of over 200 craft beers from around the world. The bar also serves fusion gourmet pizzas with unique flavors such as smoked salmon, red onions, capers, cream cheese, gorgonzola cheese, imported prosciutto, fresh mushrooms, mozzarella cheese and more.
Way more beer selections than you see anywhere else. And quality beer (Duvel, Chimey, Founder's) and all the local beer (maui, kona, lanai, Aloha, waikiki), and organized by all the varieties (lagers, ipa, sours, stouts, anvers...). My new go-to local chinatown/downtown bar. The food is also awesome! Great selection of flatbreads and pupus! The live music is also a huge plus! And they have private rooms for larger parties!
Brandon D — Google review
Music is hit or miss. Dance floor is often happening, sometimes not. No rhyme or reason. Great to have all the scenes in one place: dance floor, outdoor bar, and rooftop lounge. Pretty spot on.
Everett S — Google review
It's been a while since I visited Bar 35. Sat at the bar with friends and had a wonderful time. It has a live entertainer (a singer) tonight and he was awesome! Had the pork belly and Brussels sprouts--both were delish! Will definitely go back more often!
Elvie L — Google review
Worst customer service ever. I presented my Drivers License and the door guard kept it asking for another ID. When I asked why he said there was something odd. He then got incredibly aggressive with other patrons saying that we were too close to his butt and he had a hundred things going on right now. Eventually his boss came and said there was no issue with my state issued drivers license. I will never visit this place again with this person working security. Pure incompetence
Tom C — Google review
When this bar first opened, it must've had the most expansive beer selection in the state. I still think it boasts a pretty large selection of beers to try. What's more, they have a nice selection of pizzas to snack on while imbibing the various bottles of beer available. The location of the bar is convenient for downtown office workers to grab an after work drink. But, it's a great hangout for those coming into Chinatown as well. The area has improved a bit in the last decade due to the recent gentrification that's been taking place.
Chad M — Google review
Its a dive bar, crowded, limited seating, wasn't a bad place but too small for the amount of people they allow in. I couldn't walk anywhere without a wall of people.
SSG B — Google review
Bar 35 can’t read ids. Brought out his pamphlet book, flashlight, AND his manager and they both couldn’t read my real id. They held my id til cops came. Had to call the cops myself to get the Id I flew to Hawaii with back.

Stayed at the hotel and walked down to the restaurant - very convenient. Great ambiance at night sitting outside. Fire torches and firepits aflame under the starlight skies with cocktails in hand -just beautiful. Service impeccable and tasty food. Live one-man band was nice. Sitting outside during the day gives you an ‘O wow’ view of Diamond Head.

Great location. You can enjoy the ocean and Diamond Head while dining. You can also enjoy the sunset and fire action from the evening to the night. Of course, the food is delicious and the service of the hall staff is excellent.

Just landed in Hawaii a few hours ago. Found this place while walking around our hotel. Got the loaded poke nachos & lei-tini during happy hour. My husband also got a pina colada & shrimp tacos. Food was good & the location is beautiful

Highly recommend this restaurant! Our server, Tommy, was AMAZING. Truly the nicest person, and his recommendations did not miss. Food was amazing and plated so beautifully. The atmosphere outside was stunning, we got to watch the sunset while eating. The host who seated us was also extremely kind! Certainly come here and enjoy some savory food, delicious Mai tais, and gorgeous sunset!

Food is good, but I feel we were being discriminated! everyone got book menu but we just had piece of paper menu! We spent same amount money but didn’t feel comfortable. Will not come back again!

Arnold's Beach Bar is a Hawaiian tiki bar located off Saratoga Road in Honolulu, offering a laid-back island decor, classic drinks at reasonable prices, live music, and a beachy vibe. This Tiki hideaway provides an escape with its tropical drinks, games, snacks and frequent live music. The bar's concept emerged during the Great Depression in California as an escapist environment that fit perfectly with what people were looking for during that time.
Cool small bars to get some drinks with live music. It was a great closing to our day. The service is good and everyone is friendly. It is an open space so you can enjoy the weather, with or without shadow.
Yinzú N — Google review
Finding a tiki bar like this in Waikiki was such a pleasant surprise! Arnold’s Beach Bar is warm, friendly, and has a truly local vibe. The cocktails are strong and the prices are very reasonable. The Mai Tai was especially amazing! The live music adds a great touch to the atmosphere. It’s not touristy — it feels real and genuine. If you’re in Waikiki and looking for a chill place to grab a drink and enjoy yourself, this spot is a must. Oh, and the popcorn is legendary!
Emrah C — Google review
A great tiki bar. Reasonably priced tucked away down an alley. The staff is friendly and drinks are great. It’s not fancy but not what I would call a dive bar. They have free popcorn and some food options (I think). Go for the Mai Tais, excellent beer and a good variety of cocktails made with with Aloha.
Peter R — Google review
Many reviews consider Arnold’s Beach Bar a drive bar, however I think this is far from the truth. Although smaller than most other bars, Arnold’s makes up for in character. The pours are strong and the drinks are excellent. The best priced drinks in Waikīkī. You’d be foolish not to stop by for one for seven drinks.
Statler W — Google review
LOVE THIS PLACE! It's very cozy and friendly environment. The bartender is super friendly and accommodating. It's 4:09 here and very chill with a wonderful breeze. The bar is tucked away a bit. Very decorative and oh!! Free popcorn that actually taste just like movie theater popcorn! This place is a gem.

The best Mai Tai, everyone is super nice, good prices por Waikīkī. Great Tiki Bar overall

Came here under the recommendation of a friend who moved to the island 17 yrs ago. Absolutely loved the vibe in this place. Definitely worth stepping outside the high end of Waikiki. Best Mai Tai’s in the game. 😎🤙

The Manifest in Honolulu is a versatile establishment that transitions from a cozy cafe to a lively cocktail bar and even a buzzing nightclub. This dynamic spot offers inventive drinks and artisanal small plates, making it popular among both locals and tourists. The venue's innovative flavors and unique twists on classic cocktails set it apart in Honolulu's ever-changing cocktail scene. From the signature Manifest Mule to a sizable whiskey selection, this spot has something for every visitor.
Go here on second Friday. I wouldn’t say the cocktails or service are standout but the vibe and atmosphere of this place feels like a muted, dark, soulful and renaissance mashup of a dive and a lounge. This musician’s voice was so unexpected and sultry that I had to follow up and do a deep dive into who he was. Instant lifelong fan, 11/10 highly recommend if for nothing but the music scene alone! Also they serve coffee during daytime business hours.
Shane W — Google review
Awesome coffee bar by daytime and cocktail bar by night time. The bartender was super friendly, the cocktails were delicious as well, and they were reasonably priced. Offered some tasty popcorn while we relaxing and have movie/tv watching too.
Michael F — Google review
The Manifest was our first stop Saturday night. The staff from the bouncer to bartender were great. Music was fresh. DJ good. Drinks were cold. It would have been nice if the cocktail menu was a available.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I just stumbled upon Manifest and I’m so glad I did. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, and the service is top-tier. Izzy, the bartender, made me one of the best margaritas I’ve had in a long time perfectly balanced and full of flavor. Her energy and attention to detail made the experience even better. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. I’ll definitely be back!
Akil L — Google review
Great atmosphere. People doing karaoke and having a blast. Everyone seemed friendly. Good priced drinks good bartender. Most importantly has ac and it's nice and cool inside. Great place
Tessa S — Google review
DISCRIMINATORY BARTENDERS!! The Asian guy bartender with the tattoos that works the bar by the pool table is racist. We watched him only make drinks 3/4 full for black people but would top the drinks off for everyone else. When a black guy called him out on it he completely dismissed and ignored him then went to serve someone else. I went and bought the EXACT same drink and mine was so full it was spilling. Super racist and rude. The Asian guy bartender should be FIRED.
Juan C — Google review
A solid place for cocktails at night or coffee drinks in the day hours. I came here with friends looking for a last round before the night ended and Manifest delivered on point drinks in a wonderful industrial/brick environment. Just know they do card you at the door and no happy hour.

Bar
The Tchin Tchin! Bar is a cozy hangout spot with wood and brick accents, offering a wide selection of wines, cocktails, and small plates with global influences. Whether you prefer the indoor ambiance with brick walls and leather couches or the refreshing outdoor patio adorned with ferns, this bar provides a comfortable setting for wine and cocktail enthusiasts. The name "Tchin Tchin" originates from the Chinese expression "qing, qing," often used as a toast in Europe.
Awesome Rooftop/Upstairs bar. The vibe and ambiance were great, really liked that part of the place. Good beer selection, no draft beers, but good canned selection and nice cocktail menu. Only had the oysters, they were too big/meaty for my taste.
Michael F — Google review
It was so so. The Tchin gin cocktail was really good, the shrimp with the house cocktail sauce decent and I had a tequila shot for $5 on taco Tuesday. There was no one else besides me in the bar area. I had expected more for 3 jumbo shrimps and a couple of drinks for $40
Neha T — Google review
Everyone was SO nice in here. It wasn’t too busy… just a few people at the bar and a completely open patio (that is so cute by the way). We sat on the patio and ordered some snacks. Food was amazing. Would get both the fries and hamachi crudo again which had popping flavors. The oyster shooters were my favorite though. 3 oysters with mezcal bloody mary shots. Like does it get better than that?!
Jenny Z — Google review
We’ve been twice and the drinks were fine both times, but the state of cleanliness in and around the bar was concerning. The biggest concern was seeing a bottle of WD40 on the same shelf as glasses and beverages BOTH times we visited - as someone that has worked in the food industry, if this is what they allow to be seen in public as a blatant health code violation, it’s worrisome what exists out of site. Additionally, there were maintenance things in the bathrooms and around the bar that have seemed to be neglected and overall just give the impression that that management does not actually care about cleanliness, presentation, nor health code.
Nicole D — Google review
Great drinks and atmosphere. The bartenders were so welcoming and attentive. A little pricey, but it is China town. Parking a couple a blocks away, but too easy. Come early about 4pm to beat the crowd or just get a reservation. Nice cheese platter, oysters, and shrimp for snacking with a good whiskey or champagne. Great for date night!!
D. D — Google review
Amazing ambiance, but it’s like they were paid to ignore me. Didn’t try the food so I can’t knock it. Wish I was savage enough not to tip.
Lauren — Google review
Great cocktail bar with an inside and an outdoor open rooftop area. Excellent drinks menu, perfectly crafted cocktails, and great service. Full food menu available too. Same owner as Livestock Tavern next door.
Gustav — Google review
We stepped into Tchin Tchin at 1145pm. Last call. The atmosphere was laid back and we could easily hold a conversation with our friends. They were nice enough to take us in. The drinks Idylls of the King, Gold Bug, Last of the Mohicans and Duvel were all good. Look forward to coming earlier.

Duke's Waikiki is a popular beachfront restaurant with a tiki vibe and lively atmosphere, located facing Waikiki's famous Canoes surf break. Named after Duke Kahanamoku, the father of modern surfing, the casual spot offers a variety of appetizers, a large salad bar, and crowd-pleasing entrees such as fish and prime rib. The venue also features memorabilia honoring Duke Kahanamoku and serves the famous Hula Pie dessert.
Had one of our favorite meals of our trip here! I had the vegan wild mushroom & spinach ravioli and my fiancé had the teriyaki sirloin. Beyond delicious for both dishes, mine was flavorful with the macadamia nut pesto and my fiancé said his steak was one of the best he’s ever had. We were seated immediately despite the busy Sunday dinner rush, and our server was super kind and quick to bring us our drinks & check in on us multiple times. Our server was also very knowledgeable on vegan food and recommended a couple places for me to try, and even knew to let me know while the desert they had was technically vegan, but it did contain honey. He talked to us about life on O’ahu and Kauai and was such an amazing server and truly made our last night such a treat. Highly recommend trying this place
Annie H — Google review
Nicest place. On the beach. Great lights and live music. Took 20 minutes to the waiter to reach me for order but other then that was very nice and welcoming. I had the “prime rib staek” which was definitely corn fed and tasted like cheapest steak I have ever eaten. Look at the color in the picture it was curiously red🤨 French fries was cool but not really throughly made. Mashed potatoes was perfect and freshly made.
Yosef G — Google review
Come to Duke's for breakfast because it next to the beach and walking distance from my hotel but I didn't expect to be a buffet style. Food was just ok, I'm not crazy about everything except scramble eggs that freshly made, and I have to order through my server. When we got to our table, the table was dirty and my husband has to clean it himself (he should get a discount for helping the restaurant cleaning, lol.) View is good but lots of bushes blocking the view even we got a table on the deck. Maybe if I eat here in different time the food will be better.

We came for the hula pie and were not dissapointed. Nice cocktails too. We had eaten dinner elsewhere but they have a variety of food that looked and sounded appealing based on what others ate. Like I said we ate the hula pie. Is effectively an ice cream cake slice with chocolate fudge and whipped cream and sprinkled with nuts. Delicious is an understatement and a perfect dessert in a hot location. My wife and I shared it. It is not a one person dessert.

This place is busy all of the time. But it's worth the experience, especially because it's so close to the beach. You have a beautiful view, and the Mai Tai are dangerously delicious!!! The live music is fun and it makes you want to get up and dance.

A Must-Visit Island Eatery if visiting Waikiki! We had an amazing experience at this island restaurant! The Mai Tai's are a must-try, especially the Vic'44 version if you prefer a stronger rum and sour flavor. The appetizers were fantastic, and the salad bar was a great addition to our meal. Favorite Dishes: - *Mahi Mahi crusted with macadamia nuts*: Fresh and flavorful, cooked to perfection. - *Poke Tacos*: A delightful twist on traditional poke. - *Coconut Shrimp*: Crispy and sweet, a perfect appetizer. - *Kalua Pork Sandwiches*: Tender and flavorful, a great take on a classic. - *BBQ Ribs*: Fall-off-the-bone tender and full of flavor. For carnivores: We ordered the prime rib medium rare, but it arrived more on the rare side. However, our server was incredibly kind and accommodating. They offered to cook it through, and the chef even threw it on the grill and turned it into a delicious steak! It was clear that they prioritized getting it right, and the end result was fantastic. Salad Bar: The salad bar was fresh and had a great selection. We especially enjoyed the wedge salad options. Dessert: The *Hula Pie* is a must-try! With macadamia ice cream, chocolate, and whip cream, it's a rich and decadent treat. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious island cuisine. The variety of options, great service, and willingness to make things right make it a standout. We'll definitely be back!

I absolutely love dining at every Duke's location! Each visit feels like a delightful journey through history, especially when I think about Duke (Waterman) Kahanamoku, who is one of my true heroes. The photos on the walls really capture his spirit and legacy, and they never fail to inspire me. As for the food, I can’t get enough of the Coconut Shrimp—it's got that perfect crispy exterior and tender, juicy inside that I crave. And I have to mention the Hula Pie, too; it’s a deliciously decadent dessert that’s simply out of this world!

Duke’s is everything you’d want in a Hawaiian dining experience! We first went for lunch and loved it so much, we came back a few days later for dinner. The Hawaiian-style casual vibe, paired with a fresh selection of fish and steak, made every meal memorable. We were seated right by the beach, and hearing the waves while enjoying dinner truly added to the island feel. The outdoor atmosphere was absolutely perfect: relaxed, breezy, and so scenic. And let’s talk about dessert… their Hula Pie is a bomb! Sweet, creamy, and the perfect way to end a beachside meal. 🌴🍽️🌊 If you’re looking for island favorites with an unbeatable view and delicious food, Duke’s is a must-visit!

Absolutely loved this place! We went there on Friday to check out the food and we also were able to partially see the fireworks that happen every Friday night at 7:45pm. We asked the staff to seat us with the best view and they did! Also the food was great, and we enjoyed their happy hour menu for drinks and food! We liked it so much, we came back on Saturday for some live music and salsa & bachata dancing 💃 All in all, great place for some socializing, dates, hangouts with friends and dancing on weekends!

This restaurant was really nice and the food was tasty. Our server was Hannah, she was super sweet and even told us about Taco Tuesday. We told her e were visiting for my birthday. Then she surprised us with a birthday, it was super kind! The quesabirria taco were delicious. The guac is a MUST HAVE. We would definitely come back.

We ordered several dishes and two cocktails, a Porn Star Martini and a Cosmopolitan. I was pleasantly surprised that both the bartender and the waiter knew this cocktail, because in many places in the United States they usually have no idea what a Porn Star Martini is. The drinks were perfectly balanced and beautifully served. The atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy, we chose to sit outside on the terrace, and it was a great choice. The service was excellent, attentive and friendly from start to finish, which really added to the experience. The food itself was fine, not bad at all but also nothing extraordinary. It was an overall good experience, not wow but definitely enjoyable. I would say it is a nice place for dinner and cocktails with friends if you want a relaxed evening and a lively atmosphere.

The food at Buho was fantastic. The guacamole was fresh, the chips perfectly crispy, and the fish tacos were juicy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The tropical, lively atmosphere of the restaurant made the meal even more enjoyable. From the moment Nikki greeted us, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. She had the perfect balance of professionalism and personality, making us feel comfortable without being overbearing. Our drinks were always refilled before we even had to ask, and she checked in at just the right moments. What stood out most was her positive energy. She clearly enjoys what she does, and it shows. She made great recommendations, got every order right, and had such an effortless charm that made the whole experience memorable.

Perched atop a 19-story building in the heart of Waikiki, SKY Waikiki Raw & Bar is a popular open-air lounge offering stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Honolulu skyline. This rooftop destination combines a bar, restaurant, and nightclub experience, providing an array of refreshing drinks, seafood dishes, and upscale entertainment.
One of the best spots to hit during happy hour. Fresh oysters, great views, needs work on umbrellas from the sun, but they provided something at least. Service was above par, ambience great. Would go again.

We wanted to check out Sky Waikīkī for the views and raw bar. We walked in after some shopping and were told by the host that high-top tables were available without a reservation. After being seated, we waited for over 30 minutes without a single waiter coming by. I went to the bar to order, but the bartender told me she couldn't serve tables and that a waiter would have to help us. I explained that we had been waiting for 30 minutes, but she still wouldn't help. I then found the host, who told me the table actually required a reservation something that could have been cleared up at the very beginning. Once a waiter finally arrived, the service improved greatly, but the initial confusion and lack of service were very frustrating.

Was ok. Nothing wow about it. When i went to pay. The machine "froze" so that i could not take away the automated 25%tip. I would have gladly tiped that even though i would like to get the option to not do so. And frankly..they did not deserve that tip. The drinks were ok and the food was 🤷‍♀️ The view is not the best bcz of all the hotels blocking the view. You dont get to see much of a sunset sadly 😓 but hey check it out! The view we got was pretty nice considering 😊

Terrible place. There was an item in the Menu named seafood plate. It said it is for four people but it was maybe only for two. Two poke bowls in it were poke cups not bowls. At the end of pur time, we saw two giant cockroaches. I told the waiter and he was like yea we have cockroaches in Hawaii like it is normal to charge people 120 for seafood platter and let cockroaches play with their food. And then he was like we are closing in three minutes and I will give you a discount on your food. I kind of felt insulted because my experience was ruined with cockroaches giving me a discount is not going to change that. And he was not even sorry like its my fault I am not used to cockroaches in food. PLEASE DO NOT NORMALIZE COCKROACHES . BTW, the seafood platter had lobster in it on the menu but when they brought it it did not have the lobster. **update: the manager contacted me and apologized. He also refunded the full amount of our order which was incomplete. I believe this shows respect and fairness. Thank you!

Sky Waikiki is such a fun experience! The rooftop bar’s live music and friendly service are eclipsed only by the amazing views of Kalakaua Avenue and Waikiki Beach. Sky Waikīkī Raw & Bar — your oysters-and-Mai-Tai moment above the city. 🌆🦪🍹 This is not just dinner — this is a vibe. You’re sitting high above Waikīkī, city lights below, breeze in your hair, and a cold Mai Tai in hand. The kind of place where you feel like the main character… or at least like you should be. I came here for the oysters — fresh, smooth, ocean in a shell. Add a couple of zesty sauces, sip your drink, and forget for a second that you’re on planet Earth. They also offer other raw bar options and small bites, but honestly — I came for that cocktail-oyster energy and they delivered. 📍Perfect for a late afternoon chill or an elevated evening escape. Not cheap, not crowded, just exactly what you need when you want to pause and savor Hawaii from above. — Ilya #CyborgRecommends #SkyWaikiki #OystersAndVibes #MaiTaiMood #HonoluluViews #CyborgOnTour

With stunning views of Kapiolani Park and the ocean, this relaxed bar offers a terrific scene with drink specials, pool tables, live shows, and dance floors. It's known for its welcoming atmosphere and as an embodiment of Aloha for all visitors.
Great Happiest Happy Hour with many drink choices. The Bloody Mary is great. Food comes from Teddy's. Lunch time is nice and calm with relaxing music and great views of the beach. **There are renovations occurring downstairs/next door making for very loud noise when the trucks are moving the dumpsters, but otherwise quiet.

First off, I loved the bar and Mr Z the bartender was fast/efficient and fun to chat with! We stayed at a cheap Vrbo for the location and having this bar right there was perfect, after morning activities I loved sitting with the windows open looking at beach and diamond head with a drink in my hand. In the afternoon they have a good happy hour and classic bar food. It is a perfect way to get out of the sun and have a few drinks while still enjoying the view!

Hula’s is a really fun place to go with friends. Hula’s is an inclusive bar in Waikiki that always has something going on whether it’s karaoke, djs, dancing, and even a pool table to play against strangers! 🎱 It’s a place for everyone and the vibe is welcoming, with lots of locals and regulars who are super fun and friendly. If you want to play pool all you need to do is sign up on the whiteboard and before you know it, you’re meeting new people. Pro tip though, bring cash to play otherwise you’ll need to use the atm which has a $5 fee. The drinks are fine but nothing special - a typical dive bar type vibe. If you want a lively, welcoming night out in Waikiki, Hula’s is a great place to stop by.

Well I asked for a pour of blanton’s (sb) single barrel. The bar tender asked the other bartender how many ounces that was. He said 1.5 ounces. I suggested 2 ounces was a proper pour. She ended up pouring a shot from a shot glass. While I she was pouring she asked if I’m going to any raider games. I said I was going to the one on Jan 4, vs Kansas City. She suggested that I was wrong because the playoffs are after December. Very confrontational, I said no I have a box Jan 4th, which is one of the last raider games of the season. She got so mad and wanted to prove a point that they don’t play Kansas City Jan 4th, that she pulled out a schedule from last season and said it’s the same as this year. I went for 2 drinks to watch the band play but it ended up so hostel I left after one.. plus she poured 1 ounce and charged me full price. I went for the band and felt like it was so hostile I needed to leave. Watch out for the bartender chick with the yellow and black hair that looks like a raccoon.

Went on a weekday afternoon and had lunch. Some of the best food I have ever had in a gay bar. The bartender was warm and engaging to locals, but just went through the motions with us and didn't engage except to take our orders even though there were not many people there and we sat at the bar. Looks like it could have been a fun place, but we never got a chance to go back. We wound up at a friendlier place for Pride weekend.

Perfect music to keep the energy up. friendly and welcoming staff. The bartenders were nice, quick with drinks, (even when it was busy). 🎶 Not really for me, but could be fun for club-goers 🎶 I’ll be upfront — I’m not much of a club person, so this place probably just wasn’t my vibe. I only went there for my brother-inlaw’s wedding celebration. The food was average — nothing terrible, but nothing that stood out either. Service was decent, but don’t expect attentive or personalized attention; it’s more of a fast-paced, get-you-in-the-door atmosphere. The overall atmosphere was loud and crowded, which is probably exactly what some people are looking for on a night out. But if you’re after great food, great service, or a more laid-back spot, this isn’t it. If you love nightlife, loud music, and a packed crowd, you might enjoy it more than I did. Not a bad place — just depends on what you’re into.

District Nightclub never disappoints, and a big part of that is thanks to Fred and Zach. Every time our group comes out, they go above and beyond to make sure we’re taken care of. From the moment we walk in, they’re welcoming, professional, and always on point with service. Whether it’s bottle service or just finding the best spot for us, they handle everything smoothly. Also if you get hungry, the food at Parlor is fire.

If this place goes out of business one day, it will be because of the security outside and the girl who stamp people at the entrance. The bouncer outside was really rude to foreigners and couples. I've been to 100 of clubs, and I get why bouncers should act a certain way but that doesn't give you the right to treat people like that. The worst part of it was, once we got in, the place was empty and 20people there at 11:30pm. We could have suck it up and enjoyed our night if the hospitality was good. All this act for the empty place, really? 5 couple left the place as soon they got in, including us. We were like, are they working against the club or whats going on. The place is okay, they have min $30 purchase with credit card. Otherwise it's cash. Its weird. Do better. The way you handle people at the entrance will determine if they gonna spend a bag and have a good time or leave that place with disappointment and leave this kinda reviews.

**Overpriced & Overhyped** The District felt more like a money game than a night out. $20 entry is steep for a cramped space with super loud music and mediocre food and service. We were told it was free for ladies but males pay. We watched a group of women get in free that were Caucasian, yet when it was our time we needed to pay. The guy that recruited us tied the door man and he was visibly upset about letting us in. He even commented that he didn't want to. We also were skipped at the bar multiple times. Got kicked out for being too inebriated. That's fair I guess, but still embarrassing. :( Edit: thanks for the reply. To be a little more serious though, the bouncer grabbed me and shoved me outside without saying what the issue was. Neither my wife nor the people we were dancing around could tell why they grabbed me. The best we can figure is that when I dropped my glasses (it was an 80s night) I stopped to grab them off the floor and maybe they thought I was on the verge of passing out or something? All that said, I understand you have to keep your club safe, but your staff also needs to treat patron with tact - a tap on the shoulder would have been more than sufficient. Peace.

We reserved table 97. They did not guarantee us the table but gave us a good time to check in and we were able to get it. The views are so beautiful. We enjoyed the music. Came here for the breakfast buffet about half an hour before last seating and still managed to have a full meal! I love their assortment of foods and their Japanese breakfast selection (rice, miso soup station, pickles, ume, nishime, cold tofu, ohitashi, etc). They have an omelette bar too. I like that their food items seemed fresh and were all in cute Le Creuset pots. I even was able to get an iced coffee with a side of oat milk. Friendly staff and good relaxing vibes. Some birds flying around but not a huge deal.

Great experience! We got there 30 mins before the sunset cocktails/dinner time seating began. We were a group of 5 adults and 2 children under 3 and we had an amazing time. We did not have reservations and got great seats in their outdoor area. (But remember we got there early) Music was lovely. Service was great. The view was beautiful. Such a lovely scenery. If you are visiting Waikīkī I personally believe this is a place you have to visit at least once. It truly was a cool Hawaii experience (especially if you are NOT into the lu’au scene like me). It was a chill laid back dinner with cocktails and music experience. And yes the Mai tais were delicious. FOR THE PARENTS: They have a grassy area where the kids could run around and play and that was a HUGE plus for us since we have a toddler and a very active crawling 10 month old. So yes bring the kids and enjoy with the whole family. Also I think we stayed for 3 hours. We had a blast.

House Without a Key was outstanding! From the moment we arrived until we left, the service was top-notch. They offer valet parking, and you can get your parking validated for 4 hours by the restaurant. Melissa greeted us and showed us to the restaurant. There was a short wait, but with the gorgeous view, perfect weather, and live music, it wasn't a problem while we waited for our table. Once seated, Trey was our server, and he was fantastic. He went over the menu with us and recommended some of his personal favorites. We started with cocktails and an appetizer. We had the Lawai'a roll, Pulehu Pineapple, and Coconut Old Fashioned. They also brought out complimentary Taro Rolls accompanied by a tropical butter, which was a nice touch. I'm still thinking about that Lawai'a roll while writing this review! For our main dish, we split the Tutū Mā Asian Braised Short Ribs with roasted red potatoes and home fries--it was just the right amount and very tasty. While we ate, the Hawaiian music continued, and a hula dancer appeared around 6pm, adding to the vibe. To wrap up, Kevin helped us with our car and even handed us two waters. Honestly, we had an amazing time all around--definitely check this place out!

I took a group of 10. Get there at 5 PM and seating close to the music is easy. Lovely sunset restaurant, at the water's edge. Nightly sunset music. The night we went we experienced the current and 20+ past Miss Hawaii dancing hula. One can order from the cocktail & pupu menu or ask for the dinner menu...we opted for the dinner menu. The food is superior. This is definitely a "must do" when visiting Waikiki.

Had a lunch here on the patio. We had the lobster salad and fish of the day (swordfish sandwich), combined with some cocktails. The cocktails were ok, but imo too expensive. Happy to also get some taro sandwiches with pineapple butter, yummy! Our entrees were also pretty expensive, but it was tasty and well balanced. My salad was not just lettuce and tomatoes, but also carrots, roots, cabbage, avocado, apple, etc. I had lots of lobster meat (I think I actually had a whole lobster). My husband's swordfish sandwich was also a whole filet on the burger with delicious tartar sauce. You mainly pay for the view of course. Despite that there were over 6 servers and only 2 other tables, tables around us sat with empty dishes and glasses from previous guests for almost our whole entire meal. Our server or one of the others that were just standing there, ignored those tables. I guess because it wasn't 'their' job. But this just comes across as lazy and not very nice to look at as guests (we can't keep watching the view the whole time). Other than that, beautiful setting! Would love to come back in the evening when they have live entertainment. Not entirely sure if it worth having dinner over here though. Perhaps just some bar food and drinks?

Liked this very much! It’s super yummy! Service is excellent, we took a Cobb salad to share and they serve it in different plates to make it more comfortable to us ! So nice !! Small details makes a big impact! Also there is a music and hula dance every day between 5pm -8pm ! As a “hi, from chef” they brought as a blueberry bun and papaya butter - amazing !!!

I got a reservation for dinner at sunset. The view and atmosphere did not disappoint. There was live music and hula dancing. The service was very attentive even though they were very busy. The food was fresh and delicious. Couldn't ask for more for our first meal in Hawaii.

Hawaiian restaurant
La Mariana Sailing Club is a legendary tiki bar located at the end of Sand Island Access Road in Honolulu. It offers a retro tiki decor and a Hawaiian menu, making visitors feel like they've stepped into an old Hawaii that no longer exists. The bar boasts furniture and decor from now-closed tiki legends, creating an authentic atmosphere.
A hidden gem, and the last authentic Tiki Bar left on Oahu. Food is nothing fancy, but reasonably priced "bar food" compared to the rest of the Waikiki/Honolulu area. Drinks were good, service was fine, great atmosphere!

Keep driving. Do not go to this restaurant. I'm legitimately baffled by the 4.4 stars here. Wanted this place to be great. Service is terrible. I'll admit we had a large party. However, the restaurant was not busy at all. The server came to us and took a drink order. The drinks showed up 35 minutes later. The waitress came and took my empty glass after one drink and never asked if I wanted anything else. I drank water, which ended up being the best part of the meal. Food all came out an hour and a half later, which was cold. The steak has zero seasoning and was less than 1/2 inch thick. The server literally slammed my daughter's plate down on the table in front of her after she was unable to take the plate from her fast enough. There's zero vibe, no hospitality, no air conditioning, and no reason to ever return.
Jordan C — Google review
Classic-style Tiki bar here in Honolulu, but not a good value. Two different bartenders served me two different "Ship Wrecked" cocktails that were not even close to being the same except both very watered down. The Kalua Pork Nachos were cold and dry. The only thing good for me was Onion Rings and the decor. Both bartenders were more interested in chatting with locals than service for the rest of us. No air conditioning..so hot inside. Yet people will pack this because of its legend. Not a good value. Can be difficult to find. Free parking.

This is a unique place to eat or have drinks… the atmosphere is amazing. However, I would suggest to just have drinks. The food was okay but you can find much better food on Oahu for a lot cheaper. I had the poke and was not impressed. My husband has the ahi spring rolls and said they were okay. The bartender was great.. Very professional and we lived the atmosphere and vibe.

Great food, service, and drinks. Here for a visit and a colleague recommended the place. He said the zombie had fairly earned it's reputation. I had the Mahi burger with onion rings, a blue Hawaiian, and a zombie. Excellent all around.

Nostalgia tiki bar like the one we used to see around the island many years ago, hidden away on sandisland which I never bother to check out living here. History of the place is interesting, drinks are sweet and tropical, food was not bad, service was great and really enjoyed talking to staff. Can't say it'll be place I'd hang out but definitely worth a visit. Try to hit the sunset hour.

Awesome spot…food not that great. Went for a work outing and got the fish tacos. Wasn’t very flavorful and kinda overpriced for two tacos. The location was great and a very neat and nice atmosphere. Not sure if I would return outside of work.

Love this place! Very cozy and charming. Great location and views. Food is good and you get larger portions for less cost than most restaurants around the area. The story behind the founding and legacy to keep open are something I appreciate and support.

Lewers Lounge, located within the Halekulani Hotel in Honolulu, offers an upscale and sophisticated setting for indulging in craft cocktails and high-end snacks. The ambiance exudes a classic elegance with its dark wood interior, retro loveseats, and dim lighting. This jazz lounge is the ideal spot for enjoying live music while sipping on expertly crafted cocktails such as the Chocolate Dreams and Lost Passion.
Overall 9.5/10 Lowers Lounge consistently delivers one of the best cocktail experience in Hawaii, bar none. Location: 9/10 Located in the heart of Waikiki, Hale Kulani is easily accessible with friendly valet service. It's also a short walk from the entrance. Ambiance: 10/10 It doesn't get better than this. A quiet, elegant live Jazz bar, gorgeous decor and perfect lighting. The smoky vocals are only matched in smoothness by the smoke rings cocktail. Seating: 8.5/10 With bar, table, booth and chair seating, Lewers Lounge offers a nice, comfortable environment. Unfortunately not all seats give a view of the live jazz, but a majority do. Make sure to either show up early if you want good seats. The music starts at 830pm, but doors open at 7. Drinks: 9/10 $24 for a premium, artisan crafted cocktail in Waikiki is a steal! In a town where bottle beer costs between $8 and $16, these drinks are an amazing value. The Smoke Rings drink is a solid entry if you enjoy an old fashioned. It wasn't the best smoke infused cocktail I've had, but it was very good. My wife's The Very Thought of You is their take on an espresso martini. She didn't like the squeeze of lemon they finish it off with, while I love it. Other than that, it was another strong effort. We've never had a bad drink here. Food: N/A Since they only offer light food options, we usually go to dinner after our drinks. The free mixed nuts they offer, however, are warm and slightly toasted. They are fantastic!

Drinks were great. Sorry to say that the pianist was really killing the vibe for me…piano playing was great and song selection was on point, but the singing made it tough to enjoy. For such a cool spot on a Sunday night, I hope they re-evaluate the entertainment.
Chelsea M — Google review
The wife was hungry but we don’t like the hustle and bustle (and prices) of most places on the strip. This place is an oasis in a storm that’s Waikiki. The musician was killing it too. Drinks are nice foods good and price isn’t that terrible for what you truly get - some peace in a quiet harbor in an otherwise loud and tumultuous storm.
Kelvin M — Google review
This was my first time here. Definitely an old-school piano bar atmosphere. However, the service was a bit slow for my tastes. The server didn't check in with us enough -on more than one occasion I had to flag someone down -the pupas were just regular for me. For the same price, there are better food options around the city. My concern is the inconsistency. There was a lovely production with the pouring and presenting the first glass of wine. However, when you order a subsequent glass, you don't see them pour it from the bottle. And I noticed right away that after the first sips that it was a different wine from the first wine I had, despite being told that it indeed came from the same bottle. That might work with people whose palate is not as sensitive as mine but I know that was a different wine. That first glass was lovely though! Typically my friend and I like to order a bottle of wine however, this didn't appear to be an option at this establishment. Only glasses were offered. And the price was $2 different on my recipe per glass than on the menu. Best things for me were the musicians and the ambience.

What a wonderful little spot to grab a snack and a night cap. The woman singing had a deliciously velvety voice and I just really enjoyed the overall energy of the place. The cocktails are wonderful, too!
Casey N — Google review
Perception of this place really depends on personal preference. There were many great aspects of this place and others that left me disappointed. 1. The atmosphere - very cool classic cocktail piano lounge. I'd rate the atmosphere in the top 5% of piano lounges I've been to. 2. The cocktails - simple and classic. If you order an old fashioned, negroni, sazarac, etc that's exactly what you'll get. I personal enjoy more creative reimagined variations of classics so I was somewhat disappointed. The drinks were good, don't get me wrong, but not unique or special. 3. The price - $18 for a cocktail in Hawaii is a very good price. Other lounges are much more expensive so I found the price point to be a positive. 4. The music - the night I went was a gentleman playing solo piano. It was pleasant but lacked the energy of a jazz lounge. I've been to other lounges where the musician is playing solo to a backing track and it does make for a better entertainment experience. 5. The food - overpriced and not good. Just don't bother getting food here. 6. The service - friendly but slow and not attentive. It'd be difficult getting a buzz with the pace of the service.
Jeremy T — Google review
We love the lounge for many reasons, but mostly for listening to Maggie and/or Rocky when they are performing. The haupia cake and cocktails are great, but apparently you can’t get the cake after ten. The dress code is much more relaxed except that you still can’t wear nice sandals. This seems strange in that several patrons were in jeans and sneakers, which seems far worse than wearing designer sandals with a buttoned shirt and slacks.
Bill M — Google review
Great place my new wife and I frequented. Did not realize it was so fancy, as I was asked to take my hat off. No problem. Gets busy on the weekends, but mid-week it's perfect. My wife and I were the only ones there on Monday and Tuesday and the piano man and horn guy accommodated our song requests. Surprised not much other people were there. I definitely put on slacks and Hawaiian shirt the next day and felt dressed for the occasion. Nice first romantic finish to the evening, as my wife and I were the only ones dancing. The act the following day was not as good.

Blue Note Hawaii is the Hawaiian branch of the famous New York City music venue. Located within the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort, this sophisticated showroom offers an intimate setting for guests to enjoy performances by big-name jazz, blues, and local artists while dining on delicious meals. The venue boasts a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system that ensures every note and nuance of the musicians' performances can be appreciated.
Very fun place to see the best Hawaiian band in an intimate setting. Food was ok but drinks were great. Service isn't great but its pretty difficult with a band playing and people dancing and singing everywhere. But the food isn't why I went here. Bathrooms are super tiny so you have to be patient.

Visited Blue Note for the first time and had a wonderful time. Will Burkhart was the headliner and food a great job working the crowd. The venue itself was comfortable. Mixed drinks were about $19, beers were around $10. Would love to come back the next time we're back in Waikiki.

I've seen Chrisette Michele and Raheem Devaughn and both artist put on an incredible show. The venue is intimate and nice. There is no bad seat in the venue because your view of the artist will be good. The venue is first come first serve so I recommend arriving early to select your preferred seating arrangements. The food in my opinion is however over priced but hey, you get what you get. Otherwise great venue to see your favorite artist.

We went for a Jimmy Buffet tribute concert and it was actually worth it. The seating was first come first serve, so it's best to get there early so you can choose your preferred seating. They had a good food and drink menu, we weren't going to order food but when we noticed all the delicious looking food coming out, we decided to go for it. The music was great! The atmosphere was fun! The singing along was awesome! I do recommend to go to one of the Blue Note Shows, the experience makes it worth it.

Friday, July 18, 2025 Best place for us old schoolers to enjoy dinner and a show! Located second level of Outrigger Waikīkī Beach Hotel on Kalakaua. Easy access if Uber/taxi drop off in front. Valet available and self parking is off site. Inside lobby, take tiny escalator immediately found at left side of lobby to second floor. Walk toward ocean past a couple hotel stores and Blue Note entrance on right side tucked in a bit. Friendly Host scans ticket and another host walked us to our table. No assigned seating. We preferred the booth since it wasn’t a sold out show and sometimes gotta squeeze in to make room for another couple. Hubby tipped him for the better choice. Floor seating is like luau long tables in front and smaller tables on sides. Mini booths behind them with two steps up to a second level. Cheaper tickets this level but still cozy with good view of stage. Advise to get there when doors open a couple hours before show starts. Able to get dinner, drinks and dessert in a leisurely way. Ambiance is super chill all blue lights with mini spotlights and intimate dinner show seating. Reminded us of old times. Be prepared to wait for server to get to you if you arrive after initial crowds storm in when doors open. But we waited only 10 minutes and service was excellent! She made sure we had constant service without being obtrusive. Never forgot a thing and cashed us out at table before show ended. Sign on table with menu explains minimum spend of $20 pp but since a cocktail could be $18 it’s easy to do. Menu is good- lots to choose from and good sized portions with fair prices. Another card showed a special which was tofu poke and hubby loved it. Nice drink menu too- I loved the What’s Hip refreshing cocktail of vodka soda mint and other sweets combined. Plus a surprisingly good dessert menu yum! We could take our time eating enjoying people watching until show started at 7:00 pm. Leisurely finish our meal and wine while going back in time to our favorite group in a romantic and mellow setting prob because most were old school like us. Bathrooms -one in front entrance and one in back - large, fully stocked and clean! Show ends and we exited out back, used restroom, walked a few steps through lobby down escalator and out onto Kalakaua where our cab was waiting. We will definitely return for more date nights here! Mahalo Blue Note for making it an enjoyable evening!

Jill K — Google review
I am truly disappointed to write this review, but I feel it is necessary to help future visitors set realistic expectations. We live on Oʻahu and have had the opportunity to visit this venue many times over the years. What follows is based on repeated experiences: 1) VIP Tickets On several occasions, due to large crowds at certain concerts, the ushers acted as if they either forgot or ignored the fact that our tickets were VIP. More than once, we were offered basic seats, and only because we knew exactly which seats were reserved for VIP did we correct them. Not once did we receive an apology for the mistake. 2) Food I hope the chef reads this and reconsiders the consistency of the kitchen. One evening, the rice was so dry it felt as though it had been scraped from the bottom of an almost-empty pot. At Esperanza Spalding’s concert last night, my salmon (a tiny portion, about 3” x 1”) was so heavily salted that my mouth was burning from the sodium. In general, the food swings between being extremely bland or overwhelmingly salty, with no balance in between. 3) Service The waitstaff rarely offered dessert, and we often had to flag them down just to request a refill. Considering that the tipping baseline starts at 25% and up, the service does not reflect the expectation of that standard. 4) Brand Quality The Blue Note experience here is not at the same level as on the mainland. The programming features a heavy emphasis on stand-up comedy, with true high-caliber jazz performers being very rare.

Pint and Jigger is an eclectic gastropub located in the Alamoana Hotel, offering innovative bar food and a beer garden. The owner, Dave Newman, has created unique drinks like the Talventi, featuring whisky, Campari, cold-brew coffee, and house vanilla cream. The bar excels in both classic cocktails and original creations such as a thyme-infused Aperol and sherry Negroni riff.
We recently celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary with a delightful dinner at Pint and Jigger. The service was impeccable, and the cocktails were truly exceptional. The espresso martini and the Whistle Pig Old Fashioned were both showstoppers. While we didn't mention the occasion to the staff, their attentive service added a special touch to our evening.

I stopped by this place in the hotel where I was staying at night alone. I asked the server for the beer and chose Maui Brewing Bikini Blonde. And I ordered Pork Tenderloin. Pork Tenderloin had good ingredients and tasted good. The beer was light and easy to drink. There were various people inside the Pint, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the conversation. The servers were all pleasant and comfortable.

We loved this place. Me and my friend stopped in before our 50's function that was taking place there at the Ala Moana hotel in the hibiscus ballroom. Are bartenders names were Dave and Max. Great guys! Fantastic drinks. My friend had an Old Fashion and I had an Expresso Martini. We enjoyed their company so much that we are going back very soon for a function being held at the Pint and Jigger - also a 50's themed party. We loved the atmosphere and our next time we will explore the menu.

The menu is unique and everything is tasty. The staff checked on us frequently and have great recommendations. This is different from a typical hotel bar and much better. There are great areas for small groups and large parties as well as individuals who want to sit at the bar. The atmosphere is great and you can avoid the noise by sitting in the side room by the shuffleboard table and picnic benches.

The food was great, we came for oysters and they were delicious. The server/bartender sucks at serving. She was too busy taking shots with the 21 year old kids at the bar, and disregarded the actual tables of customers. All the other customers in the place had to leave tables to get anything like napkins, forks, or checks. Food great, service sub par.

Bevy is a fun groovy spot with great cocktails, djs and good looking crowd! Good points for improving it its maybe putting window film in the front entrance door and all the windows up top to provide some privacy and cut out all of the bright street lighting coming in and fighting with the inside dark smokey mood. Other then that I recommend this spot for some good fun

Loud but unique DJ mix. Service at the bar was great. The food was good overall. We had topped fries and a cuban. The atmosphere was definitely good, except... for a place designed for gathering and talking, you had to yell to the person next to you. The upside-down (cocktail) was delightful.

Nice atmosphere for a date night! Our server was helpful & provided help with recommending cocktails to our taste. The food was delicious! Just small portions for the money. eg: a plate of corn chips with a small salsa was $9, and a single soft taco the size of my palm was $8. Having said that - it was worth the money for the flavour and quality of ingredients! Just don’t come here for food if you’re expecting value over quality.

Fusion Waikiki is a gay nightclub in Waikiki that hosts live DJs, drag & all-male revues & bachelorette parties. It's open seven days a week and attracts many of the island's hottest young people. The nightclub has two dance floors, a full service bar, and offers a variety of mixed dance music.
Absolutely the best in town! Always enjoyed attending the shows on Friday and Saturday. And the men of fusions mid-night. Always entertaining to watch the visitors faces when they get put in the chair. The bartenders are super friendly and courteous. I encourage tipping or don't expect excellent service. Absolutely imposing to find. No signs at street level. And it's cool that they are open till 4am. But pointless if no one is there, even weekend nights. 10$ cover drives everyone away. How about no cover before 2am at least? Skip it

Fusions has a fantastic drag show followed by the "man show" every Friday and Saturday night. I have enjoyed myself every time I've gone as a tourist and now as a Hawaiian resident. They serve alcohol until 4am so it doesn't usually start hopping until around 1:30. Everyone is really quite friendly. The previous comment about getting beat up by lesbian security is clearly a terrible lie, probably coming from some bigoted loser.

Pearl Harbor National Memorial is a significant site that commemorates the 1941 Pearl Harbor attack. It includes the USS Arizona Memorial, a museum, and galleries. Managed by the National Park Service, it consists of five distinct destinations. The memorial not only tells the story of the devastating Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor but also covers other historical events such as wartime internment of Japanese Americans and World War II battles.
Rich in history, and gives you a strong sense of what the bombing of Pearl Harbor was like. Enjoyed the boat ride to see the Arizona. The movie at the theater was informative. Highly recommend getting the audio since it goes into more details. The staff were helpful and informative. Remember to bring a clear back pack otherwise, you will have to put your purse and backpack into a storage area. Bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated. Just snacks to purchase at the store.

We were there when there was two construction so it was not possible to get advanced tickets. We were able to get there early in the morning and get on the waiting list. Then I'm already outside is very moving. The memorial itself is actually US Navy property and the personnel are very military and expect respect and reverence. The historical visitor center information was interesting. We didn't pay for the guided out of your tour but didn't feel it we were missing anything. There are two other museums that are attached for an additional charge but the national park itself is free. We found the park rangers here to be exceptional and very well versed in their subject matter.

Hard not to tear up out here. So many families changed instantly. Eternal respect for all those who serve with honor. Heaven forbid those have to pay the same sacrifice! Word to the wise- don't see anywhere listed that the last boat out to the USS Arizona Memorial is at 330 pm (1530 hrs), though the Park is open until 5 pm. (1700 hrs) The Bowfin is quite an experience to walk through..These guys we're tasked with one of the ultimate risks of a wartime environment. Getting thru the bulkhead doors was something at 65 w two total hips....they ran through them when needed elsewhere in the Sub. Truly astounding. The museum for the submarine service is remarkable. Lots to learn there. Too much to see in one or two visits....we need to return. Reckon this place is a huge linchpin in United States history. Gettysburg, Lexington, and Pearl Harbor; all US citizens should be able to recite their importance in US history. Can I? Not completely, and it's shameful. Sure I learned some in 4th grade, and on. But these events are what our freedoms are founded on; what gave us and the world notice of our ability and intent following those events. We should all know them better.

If you’re planning a trip to Oahu, visiting the Pearl Harbor National Memorial is an absolute must. It’s one of those places that really makes history come alive, and best of all, entry is completely free. The memorial is beautifully maintained, and the exhibits do an incredible job of telling the story of Pearl Harbor and the events of World War II. It’s a powerful, moving experience that gives you a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices made by so many. A few tips to make your visit smoother: if you’re driving, pay for parking because spots fill up fast, especially in the mornings. Speaking of mornings, I highly recommend arriving early—the lines for the USS Arizona Memorial ferry can get long. The ferry itself is free, and it’s a serene, respectful way to pay your respects at the Arizona. One important note: no bags are allowed on the ferry, so plan to leave them at home or securely in your car. Take your time walking through the exhibits and reading the plaques—there’s a lot of history packed into the memorial, and it’s really worth absorbing. Whether you’re a history buff or just curious about one of the most significant moments in American history, this visit is both educational and moving. Overall, the Pearl Harbor National Memorial is an unforgettable experience. It’s well-organized, meaningful, and a must-see if you’re on Oahu. Don’t miss it!

A Truly Humbling Experience, But Plan for the Costs This is an incredibly humbling and powerful place to visit. Standing there and reflecting on the history is a profound experience that every American should have. The main memorial itself is incredibly well done, respectful, and moving. My only real issue is how the pricing is structured. It's a bit messed up that you have to pay so much to see all the historic sites. It doesn't make sense why the main memorial is covered, but seeing everything else like the battleship and the other museums are pay to see. I think it was close to a hundred bucks a person to see everything, which feels unreasonable. Outside of the sticker shock for the full tour, the experience itself is absolutely not bad at all. It's a five-star piece of history, without a doubt. Just be prepared for the extra costs if you want to see more than the main memorial.

This is a large memorial that has various sections spread across the area, and involves a lot of walking. There are several attractions on site, all ticketed separately, or can be combined with one single passport pass. The only free attraction is the Arizona Memorial, for which you actually get on a free 5 minute boat ride, and get to spend 15 minutes at the site. The rest include various plaques, sculptures, memorial boards etc. All ticketing and experience details are listed and priced on the official website. Would highly recommend wearing easy to walk shoes, and bring a hat as most attractions are open air and it’s hot when sunny. There are restrooms located across various points. There is a gift shop and book store at the exit of the memorial. The virtual reality tours are really nice and very decently priced.
Avais S — Google review
A once in a lifetime experience. All that you read about visiting it is confusing. Go and just enjoy the Memorial and gain your own memories. The movie is a MUST see. The trip to the Arizona is a nice boat ride. You only need about 15 minutes on the Arizona Memorial its self. Enjoy the park wander and explore what is interesting to you. Take in what you can and don't feel like you have to do it all. If you have never been on a battleship or submarine experience it here otherwise there is plenty to explore. Nice gift shop lots of unique its specific to Pearl Harbor. I did a self guided tour was there for 3 hour and was happy with my visit. They sell snacks and drinks. Have adequate restrooms. DO NOTE WHAT TYPE OF BAG YOU TRY TO BRING IN. I had a clear see through bag with water and snacks and had no problem.
Shannon L — Google review
It’s definitely worth spending a few hours here remembering those who fell in WWII. The memorial comprises of 4 main “attractions”: the USS Arizona, USS Missouri, the US Bowfin Submarine and the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. The USS Arizona is by far the most popular and iconic and this one is free but there are options to buy tickets so you don’t have to wait in line either through a private company like Viator or the government sponsored site recreation.gov. Cheaper to use recreation.gov but tickets are first come first served. If you missed reserving tickets for the Arizona, you can try your luck waiting as a stand by. It’s hit or miss but you have to go early (preferably arrive to line up before 7am). The other 3 sites you can either buy a combined passport or do a la cart. They have done a remarkable job preserving the history in a respectful way. Lots to see, not much by way of food on site or nearby. Public restrooms available. One thing to remember, no purses or bags are allowed unless they are see through.

Iolani Palace, located in Honolulu, is a historic 19th-century royal residence that once housed Hawaii's last monarchs. It has been restored and transformed into a museum offering tours and exhibits for visitors to explore the rich history of the Hawaiian monarchy. The palace was home to Queen Liliuokalani and King Kalakaua from 1882 to 1893 until the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy.
Iolani Palace is a beautiful and special place to visit in Honolulu. It’s full of history and has a peaceful atmosphere. I didn’t know much about Hawaiian royalty before, but the tour taught me a lot. It’s the only royal palace in the United States, which makes it quite unique. The building is stunning, both outside and inside. The rooms are well kept, and you can see where the kings and queens of Hawaii once lived. Everything is very elegant. From the wooden staircase to the royal dining room. You can really feel the history when you walk through the palace. I took the audio tour, which was very helpful and easy to follow. It made the experience more meaningful and helped me understand Hawaiian culture better. The staff were also friendly and helpful. They gave clear directions and made sure everything ran smoothly.

Nice to learn about the history of Hawaii and loyal family. This palace was not an actual palace that king lived in it was just one of the places he stayed when he had a guess. Sadly, the basement was closed for maintenance, so I only went two floors of the palace. No taking video inside only noncommercial camera without flash. They have self-audio tour so you can choose which room you want to go, and most people just follow the room number. Overall is not bad and kids will like it but I just feel it is kind of small compared to the ticket price.

This is a must-visit location for anyone interested in learning more about the past. Every corner is rich with historical significance, and the exhibits are thoughtfully curated to offer both educational value and engaging stories. Whether you’re a history buff or just curious, there’s so much to take in and appreciate. The staff is knowledgeable, and the atmosphere really brings the stories to life. Highly recommended for families, students, or anyone looking to connect with history in a meaningful way.

An icon of Hawaiian history and heritage. The guided audio tour was very well organized without being overwhelming. The information presented in the audio narration was concise without missing important details - there were many excerpts included from letters and diaries of the Hawaiian royals and their associates which added great atmosphere to the overall experience. The palace itself is beautiful and very well maintained. There are many spots on the palace lawns to sit and relax and take in the surroundings. There's also a massive Banyan tree behind the palace, not sure how old, but nonetheless magnificent to behold. Highly recommend visiting the Iolani Palace if you can.
Arunabha M — Google review
If you're a history nerd and hate the whitewashing of Hawaiian history, definitely visit the Iolani Palace. We did the audio tour which I made me wish we did the docent tour just so I could ask questions. The palace is stunning, and they did an amazing job restoring it and continuing to maintain it. They do provide wheelchairs which my partner and I needed due to different foot injuries, but it's very difficult to navigate as the door frames are very small and some rooms you'll need to go a different route to enter.

Way more going on here than I ever knew. Started this trip completely ignorant of the culture of this beautiful island chain. So glad I was given the opportunity to learn something new for it gave me great perspective for the place I was calling a vacation. As a visitor to these islanders, thank you for having me and taking the time to help me see perspective. Excellent job bringing your history to life and this building is just amazing, as is it's human story!

Well worth a visit. Beautifully restored back to the times of the last kings and Queens. Good audio tour, that takes you through the various rooms at a reasonable pace (you can choose to spend more or less time in each room as you wish, you have a tour start time, but there is no end time).
Mick O — Google review
I enjoyed this visit. It was pretty well kept and the audio guides were very helpful. We could also bring our baby in a stroller with no issues - there is an elevator inside. The workers were also very friendly and help us navigate the building. Mahalo!

Tikis Grill & Bar, located at Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel, is a lively spot known for its Hawaiian cuisine, cocktails, and live music. The restaurant offers special dining experiences such as the Surf & Turf dinner entree and a 4-course prix-fixe dinner on Valentine's Day.
My husband and I had dinner at Tiki’s Grill & Bar last night and wow!!! From start to finish, it was such a great experience. The staff was very friendly, and we were lucky enough to get a table on the patio overlooking the beach and water—absolutely beautiful. Our server, Noah, was fantastic—so friendly, knowledgeable, and made wonderful suggestions based on our preferences. The live music added the perfect touch to the evening, and it was so, so good! We ordered the coconut shrimp & the special (filet mignon with shrimp), and everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend Tiki’s if you’re in Waikiki!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! The service was top-notch! Maka and Logan were fantastic! They are the kindest, friendliest, and most attentive that we have experienced during our stay! The food was delicious! We enjoyed the live music, too! We've had some great meals on the island, but this experience was outstanding!

Nice open air resturant. We had pretty good seats and were able to see the lights on the water. We parked at the zoo. It was just a 10 minute walk. My wife had the coconut chicken and I had the glazed ribs. The ribs had a mild sweetness and the coconut chicken had a nice sweet coconut flavor, including the rice. My favorite was the curly fries. Thick cut potatoes. The pineapple dessert is the creme rules. Its a nice mixture with the pineapple. We also had the cocnut shrimp appetizer, fantastic, failed to get a pic though. We were hungry.🙂

Caught the end of happy hour. Tried the chicken gyoza and fries furikake. The fries stole the show. We had the prime rib which was just average. The venison gyoza was very good. Lastly we had the smoked marlin dip which was tasty. The beer and drinks were cold. Live music was playing and the view of the ocean was amazing. This meal was worth it just for the view.

Went for Happy Hour and some Pupus. Our server, Tom, was excellent greeting us as soon as we sat down and moving us to an ocean view table. Had a coconut mojito and a margarita to drink and the HH portions of the coconut shrimp and Kailua Pork Quesadilla. Good size and perfectly cooked and tasty. Finished up with the seared ahi tataki pupus which was tender and delicious. Then as a finale, we had the Pineapple Creme Brulee. Overall a great experience and good value at just a squeak over $100 for 2.

This was out favorite place in Wakiki. The atmosphere was perfect siting outside and seeing the sun go down with the beach. The Ube Colada was the best drink, also the Mai Tai for sure with a take home glass. All the appetizers were amazing and the Steak and Ribs were fantastic.

Zach was our waiter and he was awesome. Very nice, very relaxed, just seemed to want us to have an enjoyable time. We asked for recommendations and what he suggested was excellent. I got the salmon and my wife got the French dip. Both were so good. I got a painkiller and my wife got a beer, they gave my wife a free beer glass afterward that had the “Tiki’s” logo on it, which comes with a discount on every beer we get with that glass from here on out. Definitely recommend the spot!! Also, amazing ocean views!!

Cuckoo Coconuts is a lively outdoor Tiki dive with a retro theme, featuring local island artwork, natural foliage, and vibrant music. The place offers signature tropical cocktails and classic Hawaiian comfort food. Guests can enjoy the energetic performances of bands like The oldies n goodies while sipping on their drinks. Although dancing is not allowed, the band's engaging energy creates a fun atmosphere for patrons to enjoy.
Food and drinks are good, but can be a bit expensive. Great vibes, very classic bar feel. Very unfortunate about the dancing rule but I understand. (I heard about the unfortunate incident). 😔 The Oldies and Goodies band is awesome, definitely give them a tip. Jack the guitarist, is especially cool. Give this place a visit!

Love!!!! The band, the food, the drinks. ...the perfect vibe for a night out. The teriyaki burger is excellent. Not soggy and overly sauced. Crispy golden curl fries. Great non alcoholic drink options, too. The band is fantastic and staff so nice. Love this spot.

We always have a fantastic time here!!! The band is awesome and the service is fast. Food is delicious and I loved my Pina colada in a real pineapple!!!! It was delicious!!! I highly recommend folks come out here and enjoy live music all week!!

When I saw this place from outside I couldn't wait to visit when it was open. It just looks so trendy. The tikis were great and it has much potential to be amazing but it lacks the minor details. The cocktails are expensive especially the fact the drinks come in plastic cups 🫤 it needs the extra touches to be a great tiki bar however the vibes were good. Live band had the crowd singing and there were a lot of people in there. There was a sign saying no dancing. We waited a while to be served which was a letdown too. But loved the decor. Wooden stools or chairs would look better with glasses for drinks.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cuckoo Coconuts is an absolute blast! The cocktail selection is great – we had the “real pina colada” served in a pineapple. At $26 it’s on the pricey side, but the novelty and taste make it completely worth it. Live music was fantastic – the musicians had amazing rapport with the crowd and a great song selection. Bar staff were attentive and pleasant, and the overall vibe in the bar was lively and fun. Definitely a 5* spot for drinks and a good time!

The drinks are spendy, but delicious. The Music is awesome, but no dancing. The service is amazing. My only complaint was not enough drink choices. I like options. We would definitely come back. Fun place! We didn't have food, just drinks.

My husband and I were just wandering around when we stumbled upon this place. We were attracted to it by the live music that was playing here that evening. We dined here when we were on vacation in January. This place had a live band called the “Oldies n Goodies” playing very cool surfer vibe music. I don’t know how else to describe it. Lol But it was so fun to listen to! I got the Real Pina Colada in a fresh pineapple. It was delicious and I loved the presentation! My husband got the Adios Hawaii- also very good. For food, I got the Hawaiian Burger and boy did it hit the spot! The beef patty was the perfect temperature and was just so juicy. I dream about this burger. Lol Overall, the vibes, lighting, live music, drinks, food were all a 10/10. I would highly recommend coming here if you’re in the area!

Skull & Crown Trading Co. is a unique tiki bar located in Honolulu's historic Chinatown, offering a dark and eerie aesthetic that sets it apart from traditional tiki bars. The decor includes floral wallpaper, fishing buoys, Polynesian idols, human skulls, and shrunken heads in glass jars. The signature cocktail, The Skull & Crown, features a blend of rums and tropical juices served with special effects like thunder sounds and flickering lights.
Where do I even start with this spot! I’ve been wanting to get to Skull and Crown for ages and finally did! The decor and atmosphere is everything you could ask for in a modern tiki establishment. The cocktails were the best I’ve ever had in my entire existence on this earth. The menu complimented their cocktail perfectly. Highly recommend! I know I’ll be back for sure.

What a find!!!! Not often do you stumble upon a place that when you walk into it, you mouth sort of hits the floor. I wasn’t expecting the decor, vibe, drinks, staff, to be excellent. The drinks were delicious, the music was right, and the decor is carefully selected. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decor. It’s a tiki vibe but doesn’t give you Disney or Pier One. Some of the pieces look and are artifacts. I will admit, it’s a little on the spendy side. The cocktails are all about $20+ but well worth it if you’re looking for a good vibe with craft cocktails and food.
Christopher V — Google review
It’s worth the wait and a little extra $. The atmosphere, service, cocktail craftsmanship were all 5/5. The tiki vibe is very well done, kitschy, yes, but it has to be. All adornments are high end. The cocktails were well balanced while being alcohol forward as requested. We sat inside but the outside is quite nice. Expect you could get a little wet with a passing shower. All servers were friendly and knowledgeable. We were pleasantly surprised by the food. We didn’t go there for the food but the lettuce wraps with pork and coconut rice on the side were excellent.
Peter R — Google review
Ive been to many bars in my life, especially ones which specialize in bespoke cocktails. This bar was one of the best. This tiki bar had some of the coolest artifacts I've ever seen. The bartender, Mike, was really attentive, recommended drinks that matched our tastes and his presentation was excellent. The Skull and Crown was a good starter, but i was blown away by their Crystal Skull, Old Fashioned and Bird of Paradise. Also, the food options were also good too, I would recommend their Lucky Lantern Chicken and Ube Tres Leches. Skull and Crown should be on top of everyone's list.

I love anything tiki and this one nails it! Great food, even better drinks, and the nicest staff. Small, cozy, and perfect for our Halloween night, everyone was dressed up and the vibe was spot on. Can’t wait to come back!
Marc M — Google review
Don’t come to Skull & Crown if your goal is to get sloppy drunk on tiki drinks. Not because it can’t happen, trust me, the pours are generous, but because that’s not the point. In a city where every corner shoves a happy hour Mai Tai in your face (spoiler: those aren’t Mai Tais), Skull & Crown offers something different and memorable. If you want the snob’s Mai Tai -- the kind reverse-engineered from Trader Vic’s original blueprint and balanced like a tightrope walk, you drink it here. My husband and his best friend are amateur mixologists with a copy of the Smuggler’s Cove cocktail book dog-eared and stained with every flavor of simple syrup known to man. The redacted Dagger Mai Tai on their menu (you'll know it when you see it) was developed with Smuggler's Cove. When you start making your own syrups, buying obscure spices no one keeps in their pantry, learning what "balanced" actually means in a glass, you stop seeing cocktails as alcohol delivery systems and start tasting them like cuisine. Listen, I still love a trashy happy hour with bottom-shelf booze, but Skull & Crown reminded me why it's called a CRAFT cocktail. If Olive Garden is the fanciest restaurant you've ever been to and suddenly you have some money to spend, you have to experience fine dining just for the sake of it. This is that equivalent. However, I'm just a stranger on the internet, so, do whatever you want. I'm not your mother. That said, the cocktails are only half the story. What makes this place a hidden gem isn't just feeling like you're in the live action Scooby Doo movie, but the staff. Our host, Christopher, helped us shift a late-night reservation when we dropped by early after the Bishop Museum. Tina, our server, was stellar: attentive, honest, and sharp as a blade. She suggested we spike the Ube-Bae (listed as a mocktail) with a splash of rum, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it became the best drink I’ve ever had: a boozy "milkshake" made of purple dreams. I’m now on a personal mission to recreate it at home. It's going terribly. Tina also suggested my second drink, the Pua 'Ula'Ula, based on what I liked: once again, spot on. She knows her stuff. My one regret is not getting the bartender or kitchen staff's name. The food was great, too. Shrimp ceviche and squid skewers, if memory serves. We ordered mostly to avoid the spinning-room sensation after round two, but it was good, better than it needed to be. Do not skip dessert. Get the ube tres leches (you'll thank me!!) My husband tried the Dagger Mai Tai, King Ko Swizzle, and the Clarified Zombie. We wanted to keep going, believe me, but we’re in our thirties now. There's a fine line between revelry and ruin. Before we left, we picked up a bottle of their Traders Club Kila rum, partnered with Ko Hana (the local distillery) and a souvenir glass by a local artist. Skull & Crown is serious about drinks, serious about detail, and fully leans into the tiki camp with an intimate, local touch.
Lidiya G — Google review
Came here with a group of 4 and had a great time. The drinks are tasty and well decorated. The staff is also super friendly, shout out to Tina! Would highly recommend.

What. An. Awesome. Place. Our group made reservations and had an amazing meal here. We were brought here with the promises of good tiki drinks and they absolutely delivered on that. We figured we'd have dinner here, but I ended up ordering almost one of everything. What an incredible meal! Everything was incredibly flavorful, well made, and somewhat complex in the flavor composition. I only regret is that we didn't have bigger stomachs to order more food. Ceviche, lettuce wraps, nachos, noodles, Ahi... We just went on and on with our ordering and eating. Highly recommended.

We I had a deeply disappointing experience at this venue. My friend and I were unfairly removed by staff after a misunderstanding over seating at the bar. We had been sitting there all evening and briefly stepped out for a smoke. When we returned, others had taken our seats and claimed they were theirs. Despite calmly explaining the situation, the staff sided with them and asked us to leave. What shocked us most was the aggressive way we were treated—our credit card was thrown onto the street, and we were accused of shouting at staff, which simply didn’t happen. We were respectful and just wanted to retrieve our belongings and leave peacefully. As visitors from Europe, we came with respect for local customs and expected the same in return. Unfortunately, the way we were treated felt discriminatory and hostile. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values fairness and professionalism. a very bad experience there. They should obey there master in their knees, this is US territory and they should respect us.

The existing wall mounted fans are too few and too loud 👍

ATMOSPHERE: Located on the 4th level of Ala Moana Center, Mai Tai Bar is like sitting in someone's open-air living room, with sofas and coffee tables on the perimeter, cool high-top tables that wrap around the support pillars, regular high-tops, and of course bar seating. The sofa seating is in the style of old Hawaii style, with the big square cushions and wide arm rests, which is retro cool. Entertainment depends on the date & time. They had basketball playing on the TV and loudspeakers. Yawn. BEVERAGE: Stella Artois Love that they have the option of a pitcher, which is about 3 1/2 glasses. Mixed Drinks Avoid, as the few I had were watered down. FOOD: Chicken Wings These were delish! Got it done spicy which wasn't very spicy at all, meaning it has lots of flavor but doesn't burn the taste buds off of your tongue which is what I love. SERVICE: Once our service started, it never stopped. She took great care of us, constantly checking up and making sure our drinks were filled. OVERALL: Atmosphere is great, as long as its not overly-crowded which it can get especially at night.

Mai Tai’s has all the elements to be a really great establishment but instead they lean on “ambiance” instead of prioritizing quality service and food that justifies their prices. The fish tacos, should be renamed “Cole Slaw Tacos” as they only feature a sliver of fish, which can hardly explain the $22 dollar price tag. Even during mid-day the service is often slow, and you definitely have to “catch” your server. We asked for Mayo and Mustard for the cheeseburger but after over 30 minutes, we lost hope it would ever come and it infact did not. It also seems they have no organization on how to match orders to tables, with the runner often having to go to multiple tables to find out who the food belongs to. It also may be helpful to the servers if there were dedicated bussers, tables are often left with drinks and plates from prior customers. All in all this is a great place for drinks and fun after 9pm. But lower your expectations if you are expecting anything but subpar service and strategically overpriced foods. My advice? Eat somewhere else grab drinks here.

Had a large group event at Mai Tai's Grill & Bar on a Monday during happy hour (4pm-7pm). It's located on the 4th floor, open air style. HH included $10.00 USD specialty drinks, $2.00 off beer pints and 50% off 6 food options. Live music was enjoyable (musician did two sets), plenty of TV's showing hockey and football. Favourite drink was the lychee sunset, but tried several others. The food wasn't particularly memorable; chicken quesadilla ($10.00 USD), French fries ($6.00 USD), edamame ($6.00 USD), garlic shrimp ($12.00 USD), chips & salsa ($5.50 USD) and pepperoni pizza ($7.50 USD).

Great space to get happy hour drinks as the certain cocktails are only $10 each. If you enjoy watching sports, there are several screens broadcasting different sports. Service was great but felt a little pushy as the waitress checked up on us too many times over the hour that we were there asking whether we wanted more drinks when we weren’t close to finishing our current drinks. Overall, it was a good place to sit down at the mall. This is located at the top level.

What a good vibe place! If you want good drinks and good food in Ala Moana Center this is the place to stop! I tried the passionfruit and mango mojitos and they were delicious, only $13! Tasteful food!

Wang Chung's Karaoke Bar is a vibrant and cozy spot in Honolulu, perfect for those looking to unleash their inner rock star. With its inviting atmosphere adorned in Asian decor, this lively bar offers an array of specialty cocktails that are sure to enhance your karaoke experience. The talented staff often join patrons on stage for duets, creating a fun and inclusive environment.
We rented out their private room for my partner’s birthday to celebrate and enjoy with family from out of town and it was during the holiday season, literally the day after Christmas. The staff is incredible, so accommodating for parties, attentive, hospitality is through the roof! Wide range of songs. Such good fun. My partner said it was his best birthday yet. We also attended a themed game night, with my mom and aunties which was so iconic. This is a karaoke bar for all to come as you are and be welcomed as they are! A small intimate setting that feels like magic bottled up in a genie lamp, truly a place to make memories with all the people you love. Where all love can be celebrated! Because love is love.

A very last minute, nocturnal decision brought us here. As my gang and I aimlessly searched for someplace open past 1am in Waikiki, the pickings were surprisingly slim. We were staying at the Sheraton Waikiki and Wang Chung seemed so far on the map as we were on-foot. But, after strolling down Kuhio Avenue talking, laughing and having fun, voila, we were at the front door! ATMOSPHERE: They're located in the back of the Stay Hotel's lobby (located behind the Hyatt Waikiki on a side street). It's a sliver of a space that was full of folks singing karaoke (pronounced kaah-rah-oh-kay, not Carrie-okie), drinking and having fun. We arrived a little after 1am and they close at 2am, so everyone was winding down and relaxed. There's a small central bar as you enter, with more seating towards the right corner though I didn't go exploring for details. EXPERIENCE: We got drinks at the bar and hung out on the side, winding down ourselves. I'm usually a white wine drinker but chose beer for my nightcap. I've always loved Heineken but you always get that one bottle with that rotten taste, in which I received here. After a few sips, I gave it to my friend lol. In no time, they were doing last call then the bright lights and kick-out. The staff announced to please be quiet as we exited as they have neighboring apartments. Most of the crowd hung out on the street, still talking and laughing. I was surprised no one shouted at them, but they're probably used to it. OVERALL: According to their website they serve food, but I didn't see any menus or anyone eating as it was almost closing time. We had a fun hour here and will definitely return in the future.

Loved it here. We didn’t see any problems with staff or patrons at all like many other reviews said. We had an amazing time and sang along with the crowd. Drinks were nice, well made and quick. Starting a tab is so easy too. I wish there was more seating but I understand there isn’t always space to add more. A fantastic place if you want to stay here for a couple of hours and drink.

One of my favorite karaoke spots on the island. It has a small section with a microphone stand that makes you feel like you are in an actual studio. Super nice staff, lovely atmosphere.

The staff failed to provide a duty of care, as well as the lobby staff. Disappointing. I had to rely on a friendly patron to help me in a time of need. Please do better for vulnerable and reasonable women next time.

The absolute best karaoke bar in Waikiki! It’s such a welcoming LGBTQ bar in the heart of town. The Moscow mule is my favorite. They have the best selection of karaoke songs on island and make phenomenal drinks including craft cocktails. Don’t skip on this place!

The bar itself is janky, and the bartenders were unfriendly. The guy on the mic tonight who was in charge of calling people up was rude and standoffish, with no effort to explain how to participate. Cocktail bar
Bar Leather Apron is a sophisticated and intimate speakeasy-style bar located on the second floor of a nondescript financial services building in downtown Hawaii. The bar has a swanky ambiance with dim lighting and specializes in whiskey and creative cocktails. With only six seats at the bar and a few additional tables, reservations are recommended to enjoy bespoke cocktails made with high-quality liquors and ingredients.
We struggled to get into the bar because we didn’t realize we had to go inside the building and walk a bit. The security guard helped us get to the right place. I highly recommend making a reservation because then you can sit at the bar and talk to the knowledgeable bartenders. We were able to sit in the lounge which was beautiful with solid wood tables and leather couches. Everything was mind-blowingly delicious with complex flavors. Any of the cocktails are a good choice. I loved all the new flavor profiles I got to try!
Kara S — Google review
An absolutely amazing experience from beginning to end. The service is impeccable and the ambience was cozy and intimate. The servers and bartenders were personable enough that nothing came across as pretentious. All of the cocktails had a high degree of execution and had complex, satisfying tastes. Justin was thorough in his explanations of each cocktail and his showmanship was refined. I can’t wait to come back, even if it means fighting for a reservation again. The low reviews are a combination of baffling and funny. None of their smoked cocktails came across as overwhelming, and if these cocktails are what you consider gimmicky then you’re better off sticking with plain old fashioneds and Moscow mules at your favorite corner bar. I’m confused as to how so many people saw a classy cocktail bar and thought that it would be an appropriate place to swing by for a quick pregame. There is one bartender making all of the cocktails, and each cocktail is a show unto itself. This place is about relaxing and enjoying the experience. It took 30 minutes for us to get our first cocktails…you ain’t finishing a drink in 20 minutes lol

ok… YOU 👏🏽 HAVE 👏🏽 TO 👏🏽 GO 👏🏽 IF 👏🏽 YOU 👏🏽 CAN! Bar Leather Apron is a James Beard Award–winning cocktail bar in Honolulu that 100% lives up to the hype! Every drink here is an experience. They’re balanced, creative, and always delicious 🍸They have a 2 cocktail minimum, but trust me, you’ll want more. The bartenders are not only friendly but also super knowledgeable. They display the elements of your drink in front of you and then walk you through the flavors, so it feels both fun and educational. The space is cozy and intimate, but know that reservations are tough to get! (they recently switched from Resy to OpenTable, so keep an eye out or you might get lucky with a walk-in). I’ve never had a bad cocktail here. Definitely worth it! 🥃

Bar Leather Apron is a special place. A truly superlative bar experience with a knowledgeable staff. It is the crown jewel in the Hawaii bar scene, and one of the best bars in the country. Sadly, the reservation system they currently use just doesn't work. Looked every day for 2 months and showed every seat booked. Showed up and fortunately they save some seats for walk-ins. However the way it's currently presented i would not have even stopped in if I had not been very close by. I very much wish they would change this and be responsive to email / calls to sort out the walk in situation. I feel like as it currently exists the bar is losing a lot of business and many potential devoted customers are missing out.

This was an amazing experience. The drinks are top notch. Give yourself some extra time to find the place but it's worth it. Service is amazing as are their drinks.

Amazing drinks and hospitality. We had the espresso martini (their unique take on it), el umami, and yuzu sour. Wife loved the espresso martini and I enjoyed both of mine. Yuzu sour was really refreshing and really nice flavor or hojicha with the yuzu. Lots of cocktails to choose from. Our server explained the drinks really well and made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable.

Bar
Play Bar Night Club in Waikiki is a popular nightlife spot known for its spacious dance floor and hip-hop tunes. The club has a strict door policy, so arriving sober is essential. While the staff may not be the most attentive, the atmosphere and music make up for it. However, finding seating during peak hours can be challenging due to the high volume of patrons. Despite this, visitors appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and energetic vibe of the club.
Wonderful experience. You can tell this place has run very well managers on site so is the owner. Bartending ladies are outstanding, I Had so much fun I introduced myself to the owner I had to just to thank him personally. Security is super chill does a really good job, this place is well rounded if you want a place to go to just to be safe and have a couple drinks and do some dancing maybe this is your place. DJ is awesome Played a really well rounded mix. Definitely going back probably tonight. Drinks on me.

I hate a place that is so strict! My friends and I go to dance on the dance floor and a rude man puts out ! We are tourists and this kind of attitude doesn't matter well for a discotec! No and I don't recommend a place like that!
Mr. O — Google review
The music selection was good. Dance floor stays packed. Reasonable cover charge. Would recommend bringing cash. Bar has $50 minimum when using a card. Open until 4 so it becomes the go to spot for after other clubs close.
Vell S — Google review
Honestly, if you are in Honolulu and want to hear hip-hop music, this is the best place to go. Every other place plays a lot of EDM and non-hip hop… every time I go to this club I have a good time. I would suggest you get there early and get a wristband, then go somewhere else if you want for some drinks and then come back around midnight. Midnight is when it starts to turn up a bit more.
Jessica A — Google review
All the other reviews are true. Bouncers need to get bounced out of here if the business wants to stay afloat. Tourists go somewhere else. It’s ghetto and unrepresentative of a Waikiki “nightclub”. This is a dirty, ghetto, rundown dive bar with a floor that lights up. Drinks are terrible because they aren’t the drink you ordered. It’s dangerous here. We saw a guy in front just spending time with his girlfriend and all the sudden the bouncer attacked him. He wasn’t drunk or belligerent. He was just trying to enjoy himself. The clear and present danger is the bouncers themselves. They will ridicule you and if you talk back they abuse their power. Be warned.
Ky W — Google review
Pretty lame night club that seems to only attract a crowd once all the other good bars close down. Got fleeced by one of the wait staff that brought me one beer (priced at an outrageous $9) and then didn’t give me my money back. When I told her that she forgot to give me my change she insisted that I was given my money back, and quickly tried to turn it into a bar staff vs one person situation. I just let it go because obviously I didn’t want any trouble, and she must be hurting financially to be scamming tourists in a night club. If you want a good time during your vacay in Hawaii put this place on the no go list.
Dylan — Google review
Were the only dancers on the floor, got kicked off for having drinks. Bar service was fine, bit pricey for the drink. Would only recommend as a meme.
Pavel L — Google review
Playbar Waikiki Nightclub is a popular nightlife destination located in the heart of Waikiki, Hawaii. The dance floor is spacious, allowing guests to move freely and enjoy themselves. In terms of service, the staff at Playbar Waikiki Nightclub are generally not the most friendly and attentive. During peak hours, it can be challenging to find seating or get quick service due to the high volume of patrons. One aspect that may be off-putting for some visitors is the cover charge. While it is understandable for clubs to have cover charges to maintain exclusivity and manage crowd control, some individuals may find it steep compared to other establishments in the area. Playbar Waikiki Nightclub offers an enjoyable nightlife experience with its lively ambiance and diverse music selection. However, potential visitors should consider factors such as cover charges, crowdedness, and strict dresscode before making their decision.

Duke's Canoe Club, located at the Outrigger Waikiki, is a casual bar and restaurant that pays homage to Duke Kahanamoku, a legendary figure in Hawaiian sports. The venue offers a blend of island culture with live Hawaiian music, tropical cocktails, and fresh local seafood. With its beachfront location overlooking Waikiki Beach, it provides the perfect setting to enjoy the aloha spirit and stunning sunsets. Great experience at Duke's. We made a reservation about 2 weeks prior to arrival and highly recommend doing so. The reservation process online is simple and easy to book. Our server, Jules, was the best - very attentive and personable. Her level of customer service was outstanding. The breakfast buffet had an extensive spread of breakfast meats, eggs, an omlet your way, fruits, breads, and grains. Our drinks came out fast, and our plates were cleared. We ordered the POG mimosas and coffee. For the omlet your way, place an order on the little sheet at your table and hand it to your server for a customized omlet to your liking. The view from our table was the beach which made our experience even better. Thanks for a great time!

The lunch buffet was amazing. The food was delicious and the outdoor seating/view was great. We have been in Oahu for 6 days and this has been my family's favorite restaurant, by far. The lunch buffet was $33 and the variety of yummy food you get (poke, short ribs, chicken, shrimp and so much more) is an exceptional value. It all tasted freshly prepared. I would definitely recommend a meal (or more) here and I'm glad we stopped in.

Live music venue
The Republik is a vibrant nightclub and concert venue on Oahu, known for its energetic atmosphere and live performances by both local and touring artists. The venue offers an open, general-admission setting where guests can enjoy live bands and performances. Additionally, it features a dedicated concert hall as well as an adjoining lounge called Safehouse, offering handcrafted cocktails and small plates for a sophisticated retreat from the shows.
Came here for the Dashboard Confessional show. Venue is located on the second level of the building. Prior to attending I read how there were previous problems with security. That was not the case for our experience. The security team was amazing for this event. Sound was okay. There were some moments where clarity was an issue but really it wasn’t that bad. I will agree with some reviews that the place does get hot as the night goes on, but you’re at a packed concert venue, in Hawaii, where bodies are all crammed to see a show. What do you expect. All in all, we’ll attend shows at this venue again. Only big downfall is parking as it’s non-existent here, aside from the mall across the street. So rideshare might be your best bet to get here.
Jakob Z — Google review
Although good, it could be great if it wasn't for those pillars that block your open view of the concert. Staff were very friendly, smooth processes to allow you in, and very little to no wait time to order a drink. How to avoid the pillars? Get there early! We had a great time!

I had an awesome night at Emo night. Great music. A ton of fun people in the crowd. The nosh pit was going all night.

I was caught with an outside drink (a High Noon). Fair enough, but security handled it very poorly. I was immediately escorted out and had my band cut. Then I was questioned and shamed publicly. I understand confiscating the drink or a stern conversation, but to evict me for this was an extreme reaction. It ruined the night for me and my group. On other visits I have seen contraband (tapes, lighters etc) be confiscated. Security is inconsistent at best and overzealous at worst. We will not be returning.
Ryan J — Google review
I don’t typically feel inclined to leave reviews but the republik deserves one. As mentioned in a lot of reviews security/staff are terrible. From the second I was even outside waiting in line they were snapping at people and treating people poorly, getting my wristband same thing.. security guard was very rude. Inside the venue it just gets worse. Think the republic of panem and hunger games.. security was pushing into people on the dance floor and bullying for no reason. Energy was so bad I threw away a half full beer and left after 30 minutes, didn’t even wait around for the main act after paying $45 for a ticket. If you want fun, go to Hawaiian Brian’s, not here. I will never patronize this place again no matter who’s playing.
Brandon M — Google review
Attended an event last night, ended up leaving early. As soon as me and my wife got in we tried to go to the bathroom and before we even walked in a security guard stopped her from going in because people “might think she’s a man”. She had to wait outside of the bathroom for me and he approached her again to say “you get what i’m saying, no hard feelings”. ABSOLUTELY INSANEEEE to me. i didn’t know you had to be feminine presenting female to use the women’s bathroom. we’ve never had this issue before and im honestly disgusted. i asked one of the bartenders if i could speak to a manager and she asked what the situation was, i told her and she said she would grab the manager and have them radio security. i waited where she told me to for 10 minutes and she never came back with the manager. VERY VERY poor performance from staff, management and security.

We went to the Republik to see BTSM during our trip to Hawaii. Headliner came on at midnight, not 10pm as another review had said. They'd definitely painted the front and upscaled a little since the last set of pictures so I decided to write this review. This show was a quaint home away from home rave scene. I can't say how it is for other types of shows, but for an edm show the community here could throw down. There were glovers and ravers and Kandi, a handful of bros but not many. The security was thorough, and tbh I would feel safer if they had the same security at some of the bigger shows and venues I've been to, so I give them mad props for that. The dudes at the door had a metal detector wand and everything. Security was actively looking out for people in trouble and did an amazing job. It was a SMALL venue, which gave it those cozy vibes. There was no sitting room, whatsoever, and the crowd was a little thin that night, so it didn't feel packed. I would definitely recommend buying your tickets early online and not paying day of for tickets though. The women's bathroom was clean and even had an attendant setup with body sprays and deodorants and things. Can't say if that there is every show, but it shows that they care. It was a lot of fun to visit the Republik, and I would go back in a heartbeat. 🥰❤️👍

Karaoke Hut is a divey bar with pool and darts in communal lounge & private rooms for karaoke parties. The bar is perfect for letting the booze do the talking with upbeat songs for you to sing along to.
First off this place totally looks like a dive bar and small from the outside. You get inside and this place is actually huge! It is nice and dark which I love in any bar. One side of the place has an open bar and the whole other side has individual rooms with karaoke machines that you can rent by the hour AND bring in your own food, beer/alcohol!!! And kids! Please give me a "like"!

Wonderful selection of both American and Korean songs! Granted, I also like more Korean songs from the 2002-2010 range, so I definitely had a great selection. The sound quality was great and the medium room was very spacious and comfortable for the six of us. The owner was very nice and informative when teaching us how to use the machine. The room was clean, water was given with with a pitcher for easy refills, and the machine was easy to use. The binders made it easy to find songs as well, with more current songs updated on pages in the back. We were looking for karaoke in the afternoon and were disheartened that many karaoke places are only open at night. This place has special prices if you go before 6. We made our reservation after the owner explained everything over the phone and had a blast! The complex also has a parking lot which had enough parking spaces. We had such a great time and would love to go back anytime!

Pretty crowded on weekends, well Fri, Sat mostly, good place to hang out, grab a few drinks, sing a few songs, play some pool. They have private rooms for karaoke groups, or a bar area were they have maybe about 5-7 small areas to have small groups to drink eat, sing, the bar area is where they have about 3 pool tables. Decent area, pretty clean, one women's bathroom and one men's bathroom. Small parking shar3d with a Chinese restaurant, a few street parking but other than that not a bad place to have a few before calling it a night.

Food. Drinks. And karaoke. This place is so fun with the right crowd. It's more of an old local place so there's lots of uncle's and aunties. They also have pool and darts so if the ladies wanna have a karaoke night and the men just was drink and play pool this is the perfect spot. I don't know how the good taste because I never eat here. The Dragon Upstairs is a cozy jazz club located above Hank's Cafe in Honolulu, Hawaii. Unlike the polished and spacious Blue Note, this venue exudes the character of Chinatown with its dark, quirky decor. It hosts a diverse lineup of acts including jazz performances by local artists like Dae Han and regular bands such as the Chris Yeh Quartet and Gypsy 808. The intimate setting makes it a popular spot for live music enthusiasts seeking a more personal experience.
I heard they're starting up Latin nights on Wednesday! With like a free dance lesson, it was actually pretty fun. Learned a little bit of salsa and bachata, enough to enjoy the night dancing. It was all free too. Just showed up, danced, just had to pay for drinks. I think they have themes. Cuz every was pretty much wearing black and red. Didn't try the food but next time they latin night I will.

This place has a vibrant atmosphere. The wall decor is bold and interesting. The staff is very friendly and polite. At night they have live music performed by local artists. However, they should work on their accoustics as it gets very loud an indistinguishable at some point. So be prepared for that.

Thoroughly enjoyed open mic on Thursday, here. Amazing ambience, chill crowd, close-to-perfect long island iced tea, with live music afterwards. Definitely a place for relaxed grown ups to lounge. Be sure to peep tbe Dragon Upstairs, and Enjoy!!

This bar has a jazz New Orleans feel to it and the location makes you feel like you're in an exclusive bar upstairs away from the street. If you come at the right time you can see the live band play some great music while you relax with your friends. When there is a band make sure to bring something for them. The bar has a cover charge when a live band is playing. Its not a lot and its supporting the local talent. A few negatives though. The bar is upstairs so that hinders handy capable people or people not very good with stairs. The bathrooms are small and only meant for one person at a time. Male and female bathrooms. If you want or care about beer on tap, they don't have any. But they do have bottles and an good assortment of liquors. Both a negative and a positive, there is a good amount of parking down the street. but it is paid parking. So keep that in your budget or get a ride. But I would definitely recommend this bar. But I like the grunge New Orleans look. Mr. Carlyle

Truly a jazzy little gem of Honolulu. I visited for the first time for a group of artists from Philadelphia (friends were playing) and I was swept away with the whole vibe of the place. It really attracts those people who enjoy an authentic and cultured experience. I think they do a weekly hip hop night too which I got to catch a glimpse of some freestyling, which was beautiful watching each artist flow together with the music. Highly recommend. Smaller liquor selection and it is an intimate venue but it's surely worth the compromise.

Diamond Head State Monument is a tuff cone crater formed 300,000 years ago by a volcanic eruption. The ridgeline offers stunning panoramic views and is home to one of O'ahu's most scenic hiking trails. The 0.8-mile hike to the summit is steep but rewards hikers with surreal views of Waikiki Beach and the Pacific Ocean. It's an iconic landmark in Hawaii's military history and a popular spot for visitors, offering an epic adventure for families.
Really beautiful place for a rather quick hike. The summit is GORGEOUS and you can see so much of the island from up there. I did see two people being air-lifted out and many many more struggling (people I passed on the way up still had not made it near the top when I was heading back down). So please be mindful and aware and ask yourself are you fit enough to do this hike. Watch a YouTube video before you come. This happens far too often and it's really sheer negligence on the tourists part. I saw people with dress shoes and nice outfits. This is not the time nor place to look cute. Come prepared. I wore hiking boots but you'd be fine with sneakers. Bring sunscreen and water. They do have a food truck onsite with snacks. This is also a nice moped ride from Waikiki. Keep in mind you MUST make reservations and pay online for entry. You may not pay once you enter the park. You will have a reserved time slot that you can enter and they will tell you when you must be out of the park.

Great run of you start at Waikiki Beach, about 8 miles round trip. Running the last part of Diamond Peak is challenging, going up the steps. You’ll have to walk portions of the trail to the peak as there are lots of people in line hiking it, but you’ll get a chance to pass and keep running. Amazing views around the island from the top!
Harry R — Google review
It was not an easy hike, but the views at the end are amazing! Make a reservation online FOR SURE and pay for your entrance and parking ahead. Last time, we didn't do this and we're turned away. The guy at the gate said we could only stay for the 2 allotted hours, but the only way I would get out on time was by helicopter/flight for life. Nobody was checking anyway. Bring plenty of water and a hat. Make sure you have really good shoes, because the trail is steep and uneven in many spots. Sooo many stairs! When you get through the tunnel, go to the left. Less stairs, better views. Everything hurts, but worth it!
Vanessa M — Google review
I went on a Wednesday, so there’s not much people. A lot of parking. The hike was clean and easy to access. Very well maintained. The hike only goes up, you will climb many stairs as well. Theres also a tunnel, which was cool to go through. A canon hidden area for resting in the shade. Many benches for people to rest along the hike. Bring water, its open space so it’s pretty hot.
Tam T — Google review
i’m not a hiker but i do travel around the world a lot and walk a lot and had to hike a few times but man going up was strenuous. maybe had to be because i was dehydrated and didn’t eat anything for breakfast. i had to take quite a few breaks because i was feeling nauseous. i’m glad i did it because it forced me to keep going and that’s what life is about. to keep going and pushing thru the hard things. the view at the top was amazing and worth it. the walk back down is 100x easier. bring water and try not to go mid day or the sun will be beating on u the whole time. i took a bus here from waikiki and it drops you off at the bottom. you have to walk up and thru the tunnel to reach the ticket booth. buy your tickets online early because slots do tend to sell out. it was 6.15 after fees online.

Diamond Head State Park is a must-visit destination that perfectly showcases Hawaii’s natural beauty and history. The hike to the summit is rewarding, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Honolulu and the Pacific Ocean. The historic lookouts and bunkers built into the crater add a fascinating glimpse into the island’s past. Everything is well-maintained, clearly marked, and provides an unforgettable experience for visitors.
Joshua K — Google review
This is a must do if ever in Waikiki. Spectacular views, great hike not a really bad hike very doable, try to go early also make sure you make a reservation online if you are not local. Get yourself a park passport to get it stamp
Albert R — Google review
Diamond Head is an absolute must-do hike when visiting Hawaii! The trail itself is relatively short in distance, but don’t be fooled—it does get steep and challenging in sections, especially near the end where stairs and narrow pathways lead you up to the summit. The effort, however, is more than worth it. Once you reach the top, you’re rewarded with some of the most breathtaking panoramic views of Waikiki, Honolulu, and the endless blue Pacific Ocean. On a clear day, you can see for miles in every direction, making it the perfect spot for photos and simply soaking in the beauty of the island. I recommend going early in the morning, not only to avoid the midday heat but also to beat the crowds, since this is one of Oahu’s most popular attractions. Bring water, wear comfortable shoes, and take your time—the trail is well-maintained but can be uneven in spots. The hike is doable for most fitness levels, and the sense of accomplishment at the summit is incredible. Diamond Head perfectly combines a bit of exercise, history, and world-class scenery, making it a highlight of any trip to Hawaii.

The Battleship Missouri Memorial, also known as the "Mighty Mo," is a historic site that holds significance in World War II history. Launched in 1944, it served in various wars before becoming a memorial at Pearl Harbor. The ship hosted the official Japanese surrender, marking the end of World War II. Visitors can explore war artifacts and exhibits on its fully restored decks and superstructure.
The Battleship Missouri Memorial is an incredible place to step into history. Walking the decks of the “Mighty Mo” gives you a real sense of what life was like aboard a World War II battleship, with the highlight being the exact spot where the Japanese surrender was signed in 1945. The ship is well preserved, and the exhibits are engaging, with knowledgeable guides who bring the stories to life. There are a few practical things to know before visiting: bags are not allowed, so bring only essentials. A dedicated shuttle bus takes visitors from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center to the ship, and no photos or videos are allowed on the way because you pass through an active military base and residential area for service members. Exploring the battleship itself requires a lot of walking and climbing numerous steep stairways — it’s a fascinating tour, but best suited for visitors with some stamina. Overall, it’s both educational and moving, and an absolute must-see for anyone visiting Pearl Harbor.
Ernesto G — Google review
I recommend coming here. Its historical value is impressive and has many things on the ship to check out. After going through, it makes me happy I never joined the navy with how packed the bunk stations are for the sailors. The view from the Captains deck is beautiful. It takes bout about an hour or two go through depending on your speed. It may take longer if you read everything. They have food and a gift shop for you to enjoy and check out when you're done. They do have water and bathrooms available if you need them. I recommend following the guided tour as it is free. The tour guide I had was part of the Movie Battleship. Very cool experience. The earlier you go the better. The ship does have AC inside which is very nice.

Loved it! I’ve been fascinated with battleships since I was a boy. The museum and lower deck experience was great. If you are interested in naval history it’s a must see. My wife isn’t but she still enjoyed her time there
James M — Google review
Nice place to visit. Plan at least two hours to be able to walk the entire ship. Also, do the tour where the guide explains the details of the ship. Walk around and visit each area of the ship including the surrender plaque area and donut kitchen. Phone service was great one deck but no cell service inside the ship.
Doua M — Google review
I would highly recommend coming here. If you are already visiting Pearl Harbor, you should take the time to come over to see this. They were offering free tours every so often when I arrived. The ship is so vast and expansive, it is nice to have a tour guide give you history and facts that you wouldn’t otherwise get if you walked by yourself. To see the whole thing on your own, I would say take a few hours at least if you wanna see it all. Though you do have to take a bus from the Pearl Harbor museum, to the other side of the harbor to get to the ship.
Ethan T — Google review
Incredible access to floating history ! We were on ford island/Arizona tour that was the best I’ve seen ! We had excellent park department guides on the ship for a a bit and were turned loose to explore the beast! We had fairly free access to the mighty mo, could stayed longer but time constraints were a factor. Do much history there…… hard to take it all in! Important sidenote…. Try to make reservations for the 3:15 bus online for ford island!!!!! 40 tickets available twice a week from the stat park department. There website sucks but for 1$ you get an air conditioned bus ride from the park to the other side of ford island to see another pearl harbor site…..the best of the trip !
Doug B — Google review
A tour of the "Mighty Mo" is a fantastic experience. This is, by far, the largest battleship I've ever been on. Tourists can see most of the ship, several decks are open to the public. There are many interesting displays and exhibits such as the signing of Japan's surrender and the Kamakazi Corp. This tour was worth every cent of the cost of admission. I'm a fan of military history and could have spent DAYS exploring this ship!

This visit was wonderful! The staff are kind and helpful. My dad is a veteran and they have a book for veterans to sign their name in the Book of Heroes and they get a box of chocolate that someone else has purchased for them. Know that it is a lot of walking so bring good shoes!

The Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum, located in Pearl Harbor, offers a fascinating look into naval history with its exhibits on WWII and naval ships. Visitors can explore the USS Bowfin, also known as the "Pearl Harbor Avenger," which played a significant role in WWII and sank 44 enemy vessels. The museum features three galleries dedicated to the U.S. Navy's Submarine Force, covering World War II, the Cold War, and present-day operations.
The Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum offers a fascinating and immersive glimpse into the history of submarine warfare. The exhibits are well-presented and provide a wealth of information about the life and missions aboard submarines. For those planning a visit, it's worth noting that touring the submarines involves navigating through tight and confined spaces, which might be challenging for anyone prone to claustrophobia. That said, it's a unique and educational experience that history enthusiasts and curious minds will greatly appreciate

Step Inside History on the Mighty USS Bowfin The Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum is a must-visit for anyone fascinated by naval history. Its centerpiece, the USS Bowfin, a World War II “Pearl Harbor Avenger,” is open for exploration, letting visitors step inside and see the submarine up close. You can tour the control room, torpedo room, crew quarters, and engine room — experiencing firsthand how sailors lived and worked in such tight quarters during wartime. The museum provides context about submarine warfare in the Pacific, including the strategic role of the USS Bowfin during World War II. Walking through the submarine is both educational and immersive, giving you a real sense of the challenges and courage of the crews. Combined with exhibits at the museum, it’s a memorable and hands-on way to understand this important chapter of naval history

Yes, it is a small submarine, but I still like it plus I already spend whole day all another museum so short walk will save me lots of energy. Most rooms are smaller than a battleship of course. I buy a passport ticket so for me is so much worth! I get to see every place without waiting on a line or thinking about buying a ticket place by place.
Melissa N — Google review
Visiting the USS Bowfin Museum was an awesome and eye-opening experience. It was fascinating to walk through the exhibits and see the Pacific Fleet’s role in various conflicts—how much sacrifice and strategy went into each era of naval warfare. The highlight, without a doubt, was getting to tour the actual submarine. Being inside the Bowfin gave me a whole new level of respect for our sailors. The tight spaces, complex equipment, and confined living quarters really make you appreciate what they had to endure during missions. This museum does a great job honoring the legacy of our submarine force while helping visitors understand the cost of freedom. Highly recommended if you’re in the area or interested in military history!

The Baleo-class submarine USS Bowfin is a National Historic Landmark located in Pearl Harbour, Oahu, Hawaii. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour of this submarine and I'm astounded at how the crew endured the claustrophobic and, frankly, terrifying conditions of the "silent service". Well worth the price of admission!
Dan T — Google review
Unique piece of history. Even after decommissioning, it still looks like it is ready to go out to sea. A lot of history both good and bad can be felt once inside the sub.

I had the benefit of coming in a free-admission kama’aina day. The museum was well done, but it is hard to beat walking through the submarine. What an amazing experience

The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, also known as the Punchbowl, is a significant historic burial site located within the Punchbowl crater in Honolulu. Established in 1949, it serves as a memorial and resting place for over 53,000 individuals who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces since World War II.
This is a well maintained, beautiful cemetery. There is a kiosk near the entrance to help find graves of loved ones. The monuments and statues are incredible. We felt honored to pay our respects to the fallen veterans and their families. We are so glad we came to visit. It's very emotional to see this cemetery.

Beautiful tribute for those who gave their lives to protect and serve. It was very serene on Suday morning with maybe 5 other people there to pay respect.

Colloquially known as "Punchbowl Cemetery", this cemetery is located in the crater of an extinct volcano. The grounds, buildings and chapel are absolutely exquisite. The views of Honolulu, Waikiki Beach and the ocean are spectacular. This is a solemn, peaceful place. Tour buses do not stop here but drive right through so it is best to take your own vehicle to get here.
Dan T — Google review
National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific Few national cemeteries can compete with the natural setting of the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. The "Punchbowl" was formed some 75,000 to 100,000 years ago during the Honolulu period of secondary volcanic activity. Although there are various translations of the Punchbowl's Hawaiian name, "Puowaina," the most common is "Hill of Sacrifice." This translation closely relates to the history of the crater. The first known use was as an altar where Hawaiians offered human sacrifices to pagan gods and the killed violators of the many taboos. By 1947, Congress and veteran organizations decided to find a permanent burial site in Hawaii for the remains of thousands of World War II servicemen on the island of Guam awaiting permanent burial. The first interment was made Jan. 4, 1949. Eventually, over 13,000 soldiers and sailors who died during World War II would be laid to rest in the Punchbowl. On either side of the grand stairs leading to the memorial are eight courts of the missing on which are inscribed the names of the 18,095 American World War II missing from the Pacific. At the top of the stairs is a chapel flanked by galleries containing mosaic maps and descriptions of the achievements of the American armed forces in the central and south Pacific regions and in Korea. Visitation Hours: The cemetery is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Firstly thanks to Google Maps we walked up from downtown Honolulu on the side of a really dirty and unpaved road - luckily I saw a different route from the top and went down the other side. Now although the memorial is well maintained, there were workers cutting the grass and blasting music out even though they were right next to signs stating not to play loud music. Also, having all the traffic including tour buses driving around the memorial seems highly disrespectful. It could have been built so differently, with a car park where the visitor centre is and people walking up the little hill to the memorial. We didn't go to the monument as a service was taking place and wanted to be respectful. The views from the viewpoint were nice, but the viewpoint itself was not signposted and so we were roaming around on the road around the gravesites (there are no pavements, just a road circling through- strange. Even stranger was a sign offering drive-thru, first time I've really been reminded that I'm in the USA).

They do a great job maintaining the cemetery 24/7. Beautiful and peaceful
Carol R — Google review
My maternal grandparents are here, as are my father and, most recently, my favorite uncle, but even if I had no personal connection to the cemetery I would still find it a beautiful and peaceful place to spend time. The grounds are excellently maintained, and when they go all out, like they do on Memorial and Veterans Days, it's impossible not to be affected. I've always found the formal military funerals to be particularly moving, and the attention to detail paid by the service members who attend in their dress uniforms, the ones who perform the 21 gun salute and fold and present the flag to a surviving family member, is always impressive. Recently I've become wheelchair dependent and while it's not possible to navigate the grassy areas in my chair, everywhere else in the cemetery is easily accessed via extremely smooth asphalt and walkways.
Melissa F — Google review
This is a great memorial to visit. It makes you leave with a thankful and a grateful heart knowing, so many have sacrifice for our nation to be free. Freedom isn’t free. So thankful for our military service members and the families. Giving the greatest sacrifices for our nation, its citizens and allies. The Honolulu Zoo is a 42-acre family-friendly attraction located at the end of Waikiki, towards Diamond Head. It's the only zoo in the US to have originated from a king's grant by King Kalakaua. With over 900 animals, including elephants, orangutans, and komodo dragons, it offers a diverse range of wildlife. The zoo also hosts events and educational programs for visitors to enjoy.
I haven't been to a zoo in eons. This zoo has great exhibits with big animals like tigers, elephants, giraffes, a warthog, gibbons monkeys, huge tortoise and hippos! Very impressed with the reptile and bird exhibits! Wow, very cool. Plenty of shady spots to sit and rest. To the right of the entrance/gift shop and across from flamingos there's a purified refillable water fountain and bathroom. Several clean bathrooms scattered throughout the zoo. Gorgeous trees and 🌺 flowers. The parking lot has kiosks for paying - $1.50/hr. Three hours was the perfect amount of time to walk the entire zoo without rushing.

If you have little ones or just love seeing animals, I definitely recommend spending some time at the Honolulu Zoo! It’s such a fun and relaxing spot right in Waikīkī, and it’s perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for something enjoyable to do outdoors. We visited in October with our family of 10, including several young kids, and everyone had a great time. The weather was absolutely perfect — warm but not too hot — and there was plenty of shade throughout the zoo to keep things comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept, and the staff we interacted with were friendly and welcoming. This isn’t necessarily an all-day adventure, but that’s part of what makes it great. You can easily see everything in about half a day and still feel like you got the full experience. There’s a nice variety of animals to see — some of our favorites were the different monkeys, the giraffes, the hippo, the lion, and the tiger. The bird exhibits were also amazing, with so many colorful and unique species. The kids were especially fascinated by the monkeys and loved watching them swing around and play. We appreciated that the zoo was clean, easy to navigate, and not overly crowded when we went. There are spots to grab snacks or drinks, and it’s located near plenty of places to eat if you want to grab lunch afterward. The price of admission is very reasonable, especially considering how much fun and learning it offers for kids and adults alike. Overall, we had such a great experience at the Honolulu Zoo. It’s the perfect half-day outing for families visiting Oʻahu — educational, entertaining, and just the right pace for a relaxing day. Highly recommend adding it to your list of things to do while in Honolulu!

Nice staff, clean grounds, and a decent variety of animals. Elephants, giraffes, and African Penguins were some of our favorites. Some spaces were under renovation. We didn’t realize until we were there that they also have a nighttime at the zoo event on some Saturdays. Take sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle.
Holly W — Google review
I went in September and thought it would be perfect weather to go to the zoo starting at 10am. Unfortunately, the experience was not so good. About 45% of all the cages/animal habitat were vacant. 30% sleeping or resting from the heat. 25% of animals awake were few and far in between. They look to be underfed and cages were sometimes not maintained. Save your $21 per adult.
Hannah D — Google review
Better than I thought from the reviews…yes, could be improved but still a great activity despite many of the animals sleeping, allow 2-4 hours depending on your preferences. We were given a discount which was a nice bonus

This is the cleanest zoo I’ve ever been to and had a lot of variety of animals. I got to take my husband here for his first ever zoo experience. I love the exhibits and how it felt like you were in a world away from the city with the trees and landscape. I can tell the staff really takes care of the animals. Definitely hit up their cafe as they have delicious options that will surely satisfy your hunger. We spent a long time there as we wanted to see everything and get our tickets worth. Make sure to wear comfy shoes as it will take you more than two hours to see everything. We went on a weekday close to opening and it wasn’t too busy.
Savannah K — Google review
This wasn't the same zoo from my childhood, place was fantastic. Lots of animals, the most impressive was their bird exhibits, there were some African birds that were as big as humans, scared the shit out of me. Layout was also great, food and drink options and a nice play area for the kids in the center of the zoo. Only negative- It was hot but lots of shade, benches to take a break with the kids, it was obvious they put some thought into this. Highly recommend.

Bishop Museum, also known as the Hawaii State Museum of Natural and Cultural History, is a must-visit destination in Oahu. Established in 1888, it honors the legacy of Princess Bernice with millions of artifacts and exhibits showcasing Hawaiian and other Pacific Island cultures. The museum's impressive building exudes old-world charm with its dark wood and wrought iron accents.
Took our 2.5 year old who loves dinosaurs to see the dinosaur exhibit. The exhibit did not disappoint. The dinosaurs were lifelike and moved/made noises. While there we also went to the Hawaii Culture center to learn more about Hawaiian culture. You could spend days in the three floors of Hawaiian culture. We also went to the science building to learn about bees, lava, and wind. It was a great educational and fun visit.

The best museum on the islands! The buildings were beautiful and full of so much history. We loved all the artifacts, interactive displays, and knowledgeable staff. Don’t forget to stop by the food center to get some truly amazing coffee and food too. Worth every penny!

I recently visited the Bishop Museum and was thoroughly impressed! The exhibits on Hawaiian history and culture were fascinating, and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. The planetarium shows were also a upcharge, but offering a unique perspective on the stars and navigation. My only suggestion would be to allow more time to explore the separate exhibits, as they were spread out across different buildings. Overall, a fantastic experience that I'd highly recommend to anyone interested in learning about Hawaiian culture and history.

There are Kama’aina rates for the islanders, the waistline was not long. I recommend at least two hours prior to start browsing before closing time. The Planetarium, The Hawaiian Sky Tonight, is like a collage lecture, it is not a movie like I expected, if you’d like enjoy lecture experience it’s a good idea to go. Ticket purchase up the front with admission, and don’t forget the extra ticket to drop in the basket before entering. The show room is right on your right when you enter the museum, AC is nice. Dinosaur is available this year, it’s worth going, cute dinosaurs are really active.

Cannot recommend this museum highly enough! It was fascinating to learn about the history and heritage of the Hawaiian people. The Bishop Museum is a must-visit in Honolulu for anyone interested in Hawaiian culture, history, and natural sciences. The exhibits are impressive and well presented, from ancient Hawaiian artifacts and royal family treasures to fascinating displays about Polynesian navigation and volcanoes. The planetarium shows and interactive science exhibits make it especially engaging for families and kids. The museum is spacious, beautifully designed, and offers a deep insight into the heritage of Hawaii and the Pacific. A perfect balance of education and inspiration — highly recommended!

This museum is a must visit to get know the story of Hawaii. I visited the museum twice since I didn’t have enough time to see it all the first time I went. The building is beautiful and the display is extremely unique. They did a great job putting this together and keeping it in the shape it is today. I’m thankful I’m able to see it and show to our guests when they visit us on island. It is the first place I recommend them to visit. The museum also organizes dedicated events throughout the year, that are, in my opinion, extremely interesting. I try to miss out on them and take my family if we can. Also need to add that the planetarium was a surprise and would definitely recommend it.
Austin — Google review
As a local resident of Oʻahu, I was really hoping to enjoy the Bishop Museum, but unfortunately, it left me disappointed. I understand that prices get marked up for tourists, but for what’s actually offered here, the cost just doesn’t feel justified. Admission is already on the higher side, and to top it off, parking is an additional $18 — not included in the ticket price. That alone felt like a bit of a cash grab. The museum itself is made up of three main buildings, but only one of them really contains true historical artifacts. The others are mostly displays or exhibits that feel more geared toward school field trips than genuine cultural or historical exploration. For the price, I expected a much more immersive or substantial experience. This could be a quick stop if you’re visiting and have never learned about Hawaiian history before, but as someone who lives here, I found it underwhelming and overpriced. Nature & Parks
Fort DeRussy Beach Park, located along Waikiki Beach in Hawaii, is a picturesque oceanfront park with beach swimming, showers, and a grassy area featuring picnic tables and grills. It is part of a scenic coastal stretch that includes Gray's Beach, Royal Hawaiian Beach, Kuhio Beach Park (also known as "the Ponds"), Queen's Beach, Kapiolani Beach Park, and Sans Souci Beach.
Amazing place, great park, beautiful beach with restrooms and showers. I recommend water shoes if you are near the reef. It's a bit rocky. We saw turtles right next to us.

It's a nice park. If you are disabled and use service dog, expect to be harassed by security and the assistant. Manager of Hale Koa. Otherwise it would be five stars

This park has a lot to offer. Whether you're just here for a stroll along the beach, looking for open play pickleball with the beach behind you, or just to enjoy the sunset, this park have those and more to offer. A very popular place with great vibes and memories to last.

Great park with many beautiful Banyon, Plumeria, and other flowering Trees. There are picnic tables and some barbeques along the large sandy beach. You can also view fireworks that are set off from the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Friday nights .
Debbie M — Google review
This is an awesome place to visit if you are wanting an awesome ocean view, to see the sunset, or even playing pickleball with all that has been mentioned above!! This was a gem for my husband and I to find since we always travel with our paddles and are constantly on the lookout for courts wherever we go. We played a couple of games and if we got too hot, we just jump in the ocean!!! We got the perfect trifecta: pickleball, ocean background, and an amazing sunset view!!! Oh just an FYI... there is a mini tiki bar there were you can purchase drinks while your playing or ocean-sunset viewing 🤗

Very clean beach with a Steak Shack on the side. We had a lot of fun here. Plus on Friday nights they have a Fire works show.

Walked around the park a little bit before we went to the beach and watched the fireworks. Lots of food and shopping in the area as well.

The Veranda at The Kahala Hotel & Resort is an oceanfront retreat with luxury rooms and suites, offering a perfect blend of daytime leisure and nighttime pleasures. Surrounded by palm trees and manicured grounds, the upscale establishment provides a refreshing change with its Victorian architecture. Guests can enjoy high tea service on weekends, featuring various tea choices and island-influenced flavors in a beautiful location.
It turns out I’ve passed here many times and didn’t even think it was a restaurant)) I thought it was a hotel lobby 😬🤭 the service, everything was excellent, we were served by a charming woman (I don’t remember her name). She was very friendly to children. The food overall is not bad, but my fish was poorly cooked and was raw inside. We ordered tea and it was brought to us in beautiful dishes😍

Went for afternoon tea at the Veranda. It was an awesome experience. Free valet parking is always nice. The tea was wonderful and the food delicious. It is pricey for what feels like small portions but by the time we were through, we were all full. Everything we had was delicious. One standout was the live music. The musician helped set the atmosphere and made it such a wonderful event. He left while we were still there and the difference was noticeable. The Kahala is beautiful and after tea we went and watched the dolphins for a bit. It was an excellent experience.

I am so happy with the tea service at this location. The tea was phenomenal and their care and attention to my husband’s allergies was on point. They really made amazing substitutions to every item. The location was also a nice break from the city. Highly recommend stopping by!

I took my twin sisters & mom to The Veranda for afternoon high tea to celebrate my twin sisters birthday! We had a wonderful relaxing experience. The service was outstanding and it was a beautiful environment. Validated parking is good for four hours so you can walk around, relax, go to the beach!

Our world food tour continued … at The Veranda at The Kahala Resort. I come here when I’m staying in the hotel and want a light meal and music. This time it was a pre-Valentine’s dinner with my fellow foodie and we wanted to hear live music. We opted for seating outside and chose a table quite a way down from the entrance. This proved to be the nice, quiet spot we wanted but the music was background level at best. We started with a bottle of 2018 Stag’s Leap Hands of Time, a red blend from Napa. Dark, with a sense of prunes and raisins, it needed some time to open up. Accompanying the wine was the Charcuterie platter, a nice mix of cheeses, sliced meats and fruit with crackers and small squares of lavosh. We ordered the Foie Gras Musubi, Crispy Brussels Sprouts and the Hawaiian Mushroom Flat bread with truffles. Service was leisurely (which was fine with us) but it took a long time for the flat bread to appear, I can’t say exactly, but it felt like an hour after the first dish arrived. The foie gras musubi was great, a little crunchy on the exterior, offset by the creamy foie gras … We always order anything with foie gras or truffles. The brussels sprouts were large and firm, with just the right amount of char; they were flavorful without losing the slight bitterness of cabbage. The flat bread was round like a pizza and I considered it to be a white mushroom pizza with a generous layer of black truffle; the scent of the shaved truffle was intoxicating and the taste matched the aroma; heavenly. We ended our meal with the Hoku’s Warm Chocolate Coulant and the Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Each was served with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Unfortunately, these desserts didn’t live up to the rest of the meal. The pineapple cake was fine but not special; the warm chocolate coolant wasn’t warm and appeared dry. What did we think? The food and drink were fine with a few exceptions (dessert); service was very good though our server (Cenisaliza) seemed to have too many tables; the music was less than we expected. I will continue to patronize The Veranda when I stay at the hotel but will choose a table closer to the musician for a better overall experience.

For years we wanted to try this place. We finally did it, and had the breakfast buffet. We were expecting a lot more from this 5 star hotel. Very few choices. The food itself does not justify the $48 a person charge. The eggs Benedict and potatoes were dry, cold and tasteless. The omelet was very blend. The fresh fruit, aside from the pineapple and the papaya, had no flavor. The best two parts were the pancakes and our great server Andy. We left very disappointed and sad. We will never try their breakfast buffet again.

Afternoon Tea time at no better place in Hawaii. Sit in the cool shade and watch the dolphins and people watch the pool. The 3 tiers of delight is heavenly and matches well with the delicious tea. I love to visit this property located in the Kahala Hotel at the end past Diamond Head.

Friday nights at the veranda are my favorite. With awesome local musicians, and good food, don’t forget to save room for dessert because they have the best. But make sure to make reservations for they are always booked and not able to accommodate.

Park
Kapiʻolani Regional Park is a historic public park in Hawaii, gifted by King Kalakaua to his people in 1877. Named after the queen, it covers over 100 acres and offers stunning oceanfront views with a backdrop of volcanic scenery. The park is a popular spot for various activities such as jogging, picnicking, soccer, and tennis. Visitors can also enjoy the beach, volleyball courts, and canoeing opportunities.
What a gorgeous and well kept park. This park is massive and seems to go on forever. I'm amazed at the number of unique trees and flowers. The views of Diamond Head are awesome. Pickle ball courts, volleyball courts and a huge field for any number of sports.

Gigantic park. Close to the beach and perfect for jogging around. It’s got a nice paved walking/jogging path that loops around the park. Plenty of picnic benches, soccer field, shaded trees, and bathrooms.

This is a huge, lovely park with great view of the Diamond Head Crater. It's so green and tranquil. Lots of different birds here too. We saw a lot of people having picnics here.

Beautiful park, very clean. Lots of homeless but not one person bothered me at all. Sat and enjoyed the sea for a few hours, very pleasant.

Beautiful green open space. Ample parking during the week when there are no major events going on. A bit crowded on the holidays and weekends. Adequate bathrooms reasonably spaced apart. Easy to swim.

May 2025 Beach access is fine but the park sometimes shelters a number of homeless people and the smell of Marijuana can be noticeable even from afar

My Favorite Waikiki Beach park in Hawaii, it's huge and never not enough room to do anything and everything from running your dog to having a picnic to throwing a huge birthday barbecue to playing baseball football soccer volleyball and surfing just a walk away and any other sport you can think of, there is even multiple tennis courts and yes enough bathrooms all around, and WOW!!! One of the best places to watch the sunset and sunrise
