Thai restaurant
Titaya's Thai Cuisine is a popular and modern bistro in North Austin that offers traditional Thai dishes as well as fusion creations. The menu features a variety of options, including Taro Corn Fritters with Chili Sauce, Pad Kee Mow, Chicken Satay, Taro Crisps with Chicken Wings, tom yum soup, pad see ew, and pad ka prao.
Titaya has been in Austin for years now, and Without a doubt, offers the best and most authentic Thai food I've had in the USA. From the moment we sat down, it was clear we were in for a treat. The restaurant is also reasonably priced, making the incredible quality even more impressive. The service was remarkably fast, without any compromise on the top-notch food quality. We highly recommend indulging in their classic fish specialities. The Pad Cha, Chuu Chee Pla, and Pla Sum Rod were all phenomenal, with sauces that were truly out of this world – bursting with fresh and vibrant flavors. We also started with the chicken skewers appetizer, which was absolutely excellent and perfectly prepared. The Tom Yum soup lived up to its reputation – incredibly spicy and utterly delicious, a must-try for those who enjoy a good kick. To perfectly conclude our meal, the mango sticky rice was the ideal sweet ending. And don't miss their ice Thai tea, which was strong, refreshing, and incredibly delicious. Overall, my experience at Titaya was exceptional. If you're looking for truly authentic Thai flavors, fast and friendly service, and incredible value in Austin, look no further. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

Absolutely fantastic Thai food. I had honestly given up on enjoying Thai food in Austin till we tried this gem. The staff is polite, efficient and knowledgeable and the restaurant was bustling. Unique items I recommend trying are the sweet corn taro fritters and black rice pudding! Can’t wait to come back during mango season for the sweet sticky rice!

Amazing experience! One best thai place in Austin. Expect some delay in getting food. Pad kee mao is winner. Pineapple fried rice was also great. Overall good experience. Will def visit again.
Vivek P — Google review
I came here for a Saturday night dinner with my family. We loved the food and our server was fantastic. The food was not only delicious but it came out so quickly! My favorite dishes were Pad Woon Sen, taro fritters, and the papaya salad. The Pad Woon Sen was flavorful and had a slight smokiness to it. The taro fritters were perfectly crispy and had a tasty batter. The papaya salad was fresh and spicy! The shrimp in the papaya salad were fat and sweet. Other dishes we enjoyed: basil fried rice, tom yum soup, chu chee pla, and fish cake appetizer. The pad see ew was just ok. The portions were on the smaller side but matched the price. We had a party of 5 and got 5 entrees and 2 appetizers. Overall, I would come here again! I loved the food and service. The dishes tasted authentic and flavorful. I would love to explore more of the dishes on the menu. This is a great place to take your family to, people visiting from out of town, or a tasty dinner date. The atmosphere is relaxing and calm and the restaurant is beautifully decorated.

Local Guide, Kelly Nguyen's review of Titaya motivated me to drive over to Hyde Park and check out this Thai hot spot.  Here's how her review began: "Titaya has been in Austin for years now and, without a doubt, offers the best and most authentic Thai food I've had in the USA. From the moment we sat down, it was clear we were in for a treat. The restaurant is also reasonably priced, making the incredible quality even more impressive." I have never met Kelly, but I think we would be culinary buds. I chose the Satay Gai ($10.50) as an appetizer.  The marinated chicken skewers are served with peanut sauce and a cucumber relish.  It was a nice light appetizer that I paired with another Titaya favorite. Tom Yum soup. If you haven't tried it, the soup is a spicy broth with chili, lime, lemongrass, yellow onion, tomatoes, and mushrooms.  You can have it with chicken shrimp or tofu (I chose shirmp $7.95). It is available in a bowl or firepot.  If y'all appreciate Thai heat, this will fire your taste buds up in a hurry. For the entrées, I tried two classics.  If you ask most people what they know about Thai cuisine in America, they will probably mention Pad Thai ($13.50 including chicken)  The dish is perfect for my wife, because she has a low tolerance for heat, and she loves the signature sweet tamarind sauce.  I really enjoyed Titaya's take on it. For my meal, I chose Chuu Chee Pla ($19.95) off Titaya's Classic Favorites menu. A crispy Basa fish fillet is topped with a coconut red curry sauce.  The heat is more subtle coming in at the end of each bite after delivering a sweet creamy taste at the start. Overall, the meal was excellent.  We already have our next meal picked out - Hung Lay Buns ($10.50) and Spinach Dumplings ($7.50) as appetizers and the Pad Cha ($19.95) and Pad See Eiw ($13.50 with chicken) for the main meal. There is so much good Thai food and so little time! This place is a must stop. Add it now to your list! #MattGoodEats

Had dinner on 6 Sep 2025. The wait to be seated was a bit long and the place was crowded. But the service and food were worth waiting for. Great service, delicious food made with individual requests in mind and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our lunch here yesterday! Will return again but maybe first thing they open 11 am lol . It’s so crowded at 12:30pm 😃🥰Means great sign of delicious foods. Our waitress is nice too.

The👏🏻best 👏🏻noodles👏🏻ever💯🔥🙌🏻 I’ve never enjoyed noodle dishes at Thai restaurants until I ate at Titaya’s. We came here on a friend’s recommendation and I’m so glad that we’ve found our favorite Thai restaurant in the Austin area now. We got the Pad See Eiw (one with tofu, another with chicken) and it was sooooo good we ordered Pad Kee Mao to go! The Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk was OK and not something I’d order again (strong coffee though). The black rice pudding is a barely-sweet kind of a dessert and definitely an acquired taste if you’re not used to rice in desserts (kind of like a rice kheer, almost). We’ll be back for the noodles 💯🍜

Sap's Ver Fine Thai Cuisine is a vibrant and welcoming eatery in Austin, known for its colorful umbrellas adorning the ceiling. The menu offers a wide range of classic Thai dishes and desserts, making it a go-to spot for late-night cravings with options like pad see ew, kao soi, and crab fried rice available until 2am. The extensive menu covers almost every Thai dish imaginable, but noodle soups and stir-fried noodles are highly recommended.
Food was really great. It is not a very beautiful restaurant. The view is of a parking lot and a highway and they have laminated signs but the food was very good. I am not complaining about the decor because at this price point it's standard and I would definitely go again because the actual food was perfect. It was around half full when we were there on a Monday night but the food came fast. My wife got a really great curry. Not too sweet and great spice level. I had a level 3 spice which was perfect for me. I can eat a Thai chili raw but that's pretty much my limit so a level 3 was great.
Avi O — Google review
Food good enough that I would return but I wouldn’t come out of my way to eat here again. Papaya salad: I loved the flavours. The presentation was lacklustre and the giant tomatoes sliced and romaine lettuce was sloppy. Fish cakes: one of the best items for sure. The texture is bouncy and the sauce was fresh and tangy. Tom yom soup: it had the spicy sour taste. The bottom shrimp and lack of tomatoes seemed inauthentic but I can appreciate finding traditional Thai ingredients here must be hard. Adding shrimp brought this soup to $17 which just is not worth it: Chive fried appetizer: I liked the gooeyness of this dish. It being deep fried though is a lot so after eating one, that was enough for me. Pad Thai: I enjoyed it. I’m Thailand, it’s always served with some lime so we took the lime from the papaya salad and added it to this dish. I wish it was spicier but the waitress never asked us what spice level we wanted Desserts: mango sticky rice and the coconut cups were great! Would definitely get again. Overall, the food didn’t blow me away. It’s the best Thai I’ve had in Austin so I would come back if convenient for me and I was really craving Thai.

Three of us met for lunch at noon and had a great experience. It has a pleasant ambiance and we had no trouble hearing each other. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious. I especially loved the fabulous Pineapple Fried Rice and Pad Thai. I’d never been before and I’ll definitely be back!
Marsha R — Google review
Been eating here since 2019 love the food every time. Some chefs have been better than others but always leave full and very satisfied. Strongly recommend the Pineapple Fried Rice for a first dish if not familiar with Thai food. Everything is great!
Tyrell S — Google review
I drive by here a lot and decided to stop in today. Our service was good but the food was ok. The Pad Thai was a bit dry and too sweet for Pad Thai. The Rard na was too soupy, but it was good. Grew up with my mom cooking this dish so I knew what it should look and taste like. The calamari barely had anything in the plate even with my son grabbing one. Glad I came to try it out but not sure I’d be back.
Jess L — Google review
The service we received was fine, nothing to write home about. Our serving sizes were quite large (except for the cheese rolls) but left a lot to be desired. My pad thai had much of a tomato taste and kind of tasted like spaghetti. The cheese rolls were $10 and absolutely tiny, they were a complete let down, couldn't recommend less. There were also flies flying around us as we ate, making it very distracting while eating and overall not great experince.
Kenny K — Google review
My family and I were excited to try this restaurant based on some positive reviews. We ordered A1 Sap Rolls, NS8 Guay Teaw Tom Yum, F1 Pad Thai, and F47 Pad Prik Gang. The portions were generous, and the flavors were fantastic, making an enjoyable meal. However, we did encounter some challenges with the service. We felt overlooked when we arrived, as one staff member seemed preoccupied with his phone and did not greet us. Eventually, he led us to a table, but receiving a warmer welcome would have been nice. The table that we chose felt sticky. Later, when I requested roasted chili and pickled peppers, another employee's response wasn't as friendly as I had hoped. She seemed a bit annoyed, but eventually brought what I asked for. While the food was excellent, improving the attentiveness of the service experience and cleanliness would make visits here even more enjoyable. Unfortunately, I don't think that we will be returning.
Jet A — Google review
Food is decent, and I really like the late night hours. The food has always come out fast. The service in my last time visiting was extremely poor, lacking, and distasteful. I understand at late night hours, staff would be more urgent and in a rush; but the complete disregard for the customer was just disrespectful and mean. And being kicked out at close in the manner we did was not cool, when we were polite respectful and cheery. A lot of people were rowdy and obnoxious, but as service workers we showed up with presence and understanding- and were only given in return looks of irritability. Not everyone has been like this all time. The food is good to okay. The street pad Thai was really flavorful and filling. It tasted really authentic and light which I really appreciated amongst so much typical saucy pad thai. When we asked for egg instead of a meat for protein the women wouldn’t reason with us and kept trying to charge us 3 dollars, when the dish already came with egg, we just wanted a little more since we were skipping a meat for a protein The red curry with green beans instead of meat was mildly a joke. Essentially the curry was filled to the brim with lightly steamed green beans drenched in curry which basically acted as a sauce. It kinda looked careless and silly.

Thai Fresh is a popular spot known for its cooked-to-order dishes and homemade ice creams. The restaurant also features a market offering rare Thai ingredients. Chef Jam Sanitchat's establishment has been a local favorite for 15 years, serving authentic flavors and seasonal ingredients. Many menu items are gluten-free, and the in-house bakery offers an entirely gluten-free lineup of sweet treats and decadent desserts. The flexible menu allows for numerous substitutions, making it suitable for various dietary preferences.
We meet our adult kids occasionally for dinner in Austin and they get to choose a place since they live there. It has to be in south Austin though so we don't have to drive across Austin. This restaurant was a great choice. The food was delicious and the drinks were also pretty good --especially the Tiger Punch. I had stir-fry with chicken and rice and really liked it. My husband and daughter had drunken noodles and said they were really good. My son had a pork sandwich and raved that it was really tasty. We would go back here in a minute. The service was also very good with the workers patiently answering a lot of questions since we had never been here before. It's kind of small but it offers great food. I think they also had a military discount.
Lucille T — Google review
I discovered this place because my friend eats gluten free. It’s healthy and delicious. I have been coming for years and they have gluten free desserts and awesome coffee drinks and tea.. The pad Thai is good. If you like Pandan sweet flavor. This is one of few places you can enjoy Pandan ice cream. My favorite is the coconut ash flavor. Today I had the dark chocolate sea salt tart. I asked them to warm it up a bit and it was perfect. It has a cozy modern eclectic feel inside. You can bring your laptop and work as well. Oh, I couldn’t help myself and had a bite of the tart before taking a pic.
Melissa J — Google review
If you like authentic Thai food, don't come here. The Papaya Salad was lacking texture, Thai basil, fermented dried baby shrimp, and Thai chilies. Instead of smashed cherry tomatoes , it came with pulpy, tasteless, cubed tomatoes. It was heavy on the fish sauce, but missing all of the intricate ingredients Thai food is known for. The Glass Noodles with shrimp were also lacking this layering of flavors.  It was one dimensional, and the ever present pulpy tomatoes accompanied this dish as well. Would never order this again. We also ordered 2 tacos: one with fajita meat and another one with shrimp and eggs. And while the tacos were large, they were greasy and lacking any kind of fresh vegetable accompaniment typical with tacos. And they did not come with salsas. If you like large, pricey portions, this is your place. If you like an orchestra of flavors typical of good Thai or Mexican cuisine, then this is not for you...
Janna K — Google review
So worth the wait for a parking spot! The interesting thing is that they have way more seating than you would think so we got right in. Started off with a few apps and then a soup and I got the fried chicken. Just an awesome experience.

Wonderful steak salad, red curry, and chicken skin cracklings. Prompt and friendly service. Nice relaxed atmosphere to enjoy your meal.
Gene F — Google review
Terrible service, mid to low level food, and over priced. Thai Fresh has failed me multiple times and last night was the final straw. We ordered a few to go items - including a side of tofu. The tofu literally came with 8 small pieces of dry tofu and they charged $4.50. Ten years ago Thai Fresh was a nice addition to the neighborhood. Today it is a self serve operation with lack of quality of service and food. Don't waste your time!
Maximilian H — Google review
15% mandatory tip for PICK UP orders. Meaning I paid a dozen dollars to drive myself to their facility (because they are too greedy to pay that same 15% to a delivery service or driver), receive no special service, no ecstatic thank you, no sweet little cookie for coming by, just lazy drop of my food on the counter and the sheer greed of these little purple haired individuals (meaning ownership, management, and regular staff alike) that believe my hard earned money belongs in their pocket, rather the mine, because they did…their….job….below satisfactory levels. The best part is I’m a very generous tipper and for simply grabbing my food with a 360 degree, in-place turn, I probably would have thrown ya $5. Literally catch me at a coffee shop tipping $3 for no reason. But when you’re this greedy, disguised as an equitable solution (truly just owners being cheap) it’s such a repulsive result. To find out I’ve been auto tipping (without choice) every time I do a pick up order will now make this the last visit. If you stuck around to read this, it’s solid food, no better than the others, safe yourself the tragedy of supporting an enterprise like this for takeout. DEFINITELY don’t eat inside, very sad atmosphere, same below average service, and an auto tip for that service, I’m sure 😂
Alecwntr — Google review
I ended up here based on a recommendation from a friend, did not disappoint. I ended up ordering something away from my comfort zone, I’d usually go for a pad Thai or pad see ew, but I went ahead and ordered the red curry and the coconut soup. Very delicious, good portion. The soup I was not such a big fan of, wouldn’t get it again. Will definitely be back to try my favorites at this spot. I definitely love the counter service they’ve got going on, there’s a self-serving station so you can help yourself to sauces and waters. You can either go ahead and order at the counter, or take a seat at one of the tables and order from the sticker they have on the tabletop. Your food will just magically appear after ordering, which is amazing. Very good spot for studying, I would definitely come in and do remote work here, it’s got coffee shop vibes.

Madam Mam's Thai Cuisine, UT West Campus at 26th ST is a popular local chain with four locations in the Austin area. The extensive menu offers nearly 100 different traditional Thai dishes, including takeout staples like pad thai and green curry, as well as noodle soups and chicken wings. The South at Brodie location is particularly favored for its flavorful menu and generous serving sizes.
This place has comforting and flavorful Thai food. The brusselsprouts are the best I’ve ever had and you can get wings with the same sauce (sweet Siam). The green curry and pad see ew are great as well and are very big. The chili oil (not pictured) makes everything better.

Good place for Thai food. Place was clean and nicely decorated. Service was good and friendly. Ordered Thai summer rolls, Thai tea, and pad Thai. Food was great and portions were enough to feed two. Enjoyed dining here for sure.

I went to Madam mam’s today with my family and it was fire. service was also an absolute heater. I ordered the spicy basil fried rice and it was hella good. As an indian i’ve built up a spice tolerance and this lived up to it as i was sweating with a big smile on my face. good food and W vibes.

I ordered on pad prik pao with extra meat and one with normal portions… both have the EXACT SAME quantity of food… I payed extra money just to get a bigger box and nothing more… this needs to be fixed.
Bob B — Google review
I liked the spring rolls that they had and the egg sticky rice. I should’ve ask for a bite from my friend’s beef pad see ew because it looked really good. My friend got the green curry and she liked it. I only could have the rice with it unfortunately. I think the portions and pricing is fair and it has a nice vibe.

Wow, this Thai place is absolutely amazing! The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful; I could taste the authentic spices in every bite. The service was also top-notch, with friendly staff who were attentive to all our needs. I'd highly recommend trying their F3 Pad Sea Ew and Pineapple fried rice– seriously delicious! Definitely going back soon!
Hein S — Google review
We ordered chicken wings and vegan Pad Thai. Unfortunately, both of our dishes were salty and flavorless. Maybe our poor experience was a fluke, because we've eaten at the Anderson Lane location and never had an issue there. The service was great, though.

My wife and I just had lunch here. Fortunately she found this bug in my dish before I ate it…rehung or not, that was gross!!!!! Also, there’s basically no service, you go up to the counter to order and fetch your own water.

Tuk Tuk Thai Cafe is a cozy, family-owned restaurant in South Austin that offers casual and contemporary dining with authentic Thai cuisine. After 21 years in Austin, the cafe reopened following a renovation and continues to attract customers with its affordable menu featuring generous portions of homemade Thai dishes. The Massaman Curry and Mango Sticky Rice are particularly popular choices among patrons. Despite the simple setting, the BYOB policy and ample seating make it a local gem.
Been coming here for over 10 years and not once was disappointed. Tom Kha and shrimp spring rolls are my go to and I swear their peanut sauce is the best in town. If you like the heat tell them and they’ll challenge what you’re capable of handling. Top spot in town! I think it’s still take out only but even on the back of your truck in the parking lot - worth every bite

After seeing so many good reviews, I decided to try this place today. The staff was very friendly, and my order came out quickly. I decided to order the massaman curry because it's my favorite dish, but unfortunately, I'm disappointed. When I've ordered it at other restaurants, the curry contains potatoes, carrots, onions, and peanuts, which is what gives it a special flavor, but at this restaurant, they only use potatoes and chicken, and the flavor is very bland. Not sure if I would like to try something else.

By far the most welcoming, friendly, and tasty Thai in Austin!! The food was prepared within a reasonable timeframe, everything was so flavorful, and the price point/portion size was just right. We ordered level 5 chicken pad Thai and level 4 panang curry. Delicious food and ingredients tasted fresh. The cashier/server was super friendly and helpful with any questions and very attentive, considering how EXTREMELY busy they were. Just in the 45 min we sat and ate, at least a dozen to-go orders came and went and she was so nice and hospitable to each single customer. We will definitely be coming back and letting everyone know what great food and service we received. 10/10

Loved, loved, loved this place. My colleague recommended it and I honestly didn’t expect much, but wow—I was so wrong. Everything we ordered was fresh and super flavorful. We got the spring rolls, Thai basil fried rice, chicken satay, and pineapple curry fried rice. So good. Make sure you ask for extra chilli oil—it’s insane. They don’t have much dine-in space, just a few outdoor tables, but the food more than makes up for it. Only regret is that it’s far from me… or maybe that’s a good thing, otherwise I’d be there every day.
Nikitha N — Google review
Tasty food, friendly staff, and clean environment. Can’t beat the price. I ordered a side of fried rice and got a very generous portion for only $3.25. My previous visit I got what must have been a 32oz iced backlash tea for the same price.

Decent spot to get your thai fix. Had takeout and didn't get a chance to take a pic of the food, but pretty standard Drunkin Noodle and Pad Woon Sen.
Chris R — Google review
Best Pad Thai, so good. Although they still have some seating, it's really a take out place at this place. The staff is really friendly and helpful. They also do a great job of under promise over deliver on the turn around time. 30-35 minutes, 25 minutes later.. food is ready. Full disclosure I've only ordered Phad Thai here but its incredible. I've heard from more adventurous eaters that the rest of menu is just as good.

Service was FAST and we ordered at the restaurant. The food turned out great and each plate was enough for 2 full meals. I've driven by for a while and finally stopped in. I will definitely be back to try more.

Pad Thai cuisine is a popular choice for those seeking delicious and generously portioned Thai dishes made with locally sourced herbs and spices. The vibrant flavors of the food are complemented by a friendly and welcoming staff, creating a great dining ambiance. Customers have enjoyed various menu items such as papaya salad, spring rolls, pad see ew with beef, Evil Jungle basil fried rice, eggplant dishes, and Tom Yum noodle soup. The restaurant offers an extensive selection of flavorful dishes at reasonable prices.
We were passing through for work. Stayed at a hotel close by and were in a mood for some Thai. I had a coconut curry dish (pictured) and my coworker had chicken pad thai, both were delicious. Food came out fast and our server was very attentive. We were impressed! Especially what passes for food/service these days.

The first time I had the Pad See Ew, it was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and a solid 4.5 stars. But on my second visit, it was dry and not as good, so I couldn’t even finish it. I’ll give them one more try based on my first experience, but if it happens again, I’ll have to find another spot for Thai food.

Friendly service and good food. Extensive menu. We loved their fragrant pad thai when we ordered delivery before. When we finally dined in, we got to try their wild fire duck. It was amazing!

This easily became my favorite Thai food spot! They have the best beef jerky and sticky rice in Austin that I've tried so far. The Thai tea was also delicious!
Spirit T — Google review
Ordered over Uber eats and was really disappointed. The coconut shrimp were burnt on the outside, excessively coated and soaked in grease, and all stuck together. When I opened the box initially I didn’t recognize what it was. Pad thai flavor wasn’t enjoyable and noodles were a pile of mush. This was exceptionally bad.

Great location. Lots of shopping around. Staff is very friendly. Food is great. Had a variety of choices from rice to noddles and appetizers. Ordered Evil Jungle basil fried rice and eggplant. The food is very flavorful and delicious. Very well made.

Someone really liked the Thai ice tea! We got the Forever Chicken Pad Thai and the Panang Curry Pad Thai! Absolutely amazing !!! The portions are so big and we save some food for next day !!! This place is nice for a cute date together and it’s a nice complex so there are other options around as well!

My dish, pineapple fried rice was delicious, but my daughter's dish was awful. It was some kind of chicken(red sauce) was so tasteless. No seasoning at all. I hated that for her, because that was her first time there!

Nestled in a cozy setting, Sip Saam Thai is the perfect casual dining spot for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine. This eatery boasts an extensive menu filled with beloved dishes like curries and noodles, all crafted to highlight genuine flavors. One of the standout features is their flexibility with spice levels, allowing guests to tailor their meals to their taste preferences.
Authentic Thai flavors and a warm, inviting vibe — Sip Saam Thai is a gem in Austin! This has been one of my favorite Thai spots since day one. Their Green Apple Pompano is a must-try — the whole fish is fried to perfection and topped with tangy green apple, red onion, tomatoes, cashews, and a refreshing lime dressing. Flavorful, fresh, and absolutely satisfying. We also ordered: Yellow curry with mixed seafood — rich, comforting, and perfectly spiced Pineapple fried rice with mixed meat — sweet, savory, and so good Mango sticky rice and fried banana with coconut + sesame for dessert — both were phenomenal The quality, flavor, and presentation are consistently top-notch. Whether you're dining in or ordering out, Sip Saam never disappoints. Highly recommend!

This is my sister in laws favorite restaurant in this area, and she wanted us to try. We were not disappointed. The food was so good. The service was great. I'd definitely return and eat here again.
Rhonda N — Google review
it's decent thai food and authentic flavor, the service is ok. we were seated close to the kitchen, there's strong kitchen exhaust throughout the whole time of dining. the service was a bit slow, hard to get their attention to order or get anything. chicken wing app didnt wow me, but the lamb shank curry is pretty good flavor and good to go with rice. the sizzling short ribs is enjoyable. tender juicy.
Alex Z — Google review
We recently dined at Sip Saam Thai and tried several dishes: Vegetable Gyoza, Chicken Green Curry, Seafood Pad Cha, Egg Noodles, and Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. The Vegetable Gyoza was the standout appetizer. These crispy, fried dumplings were filled with a flavorful vegetable mix, and the texture was spot on — crunchy on the outside, soft and well-seasoned inside. We thoroughly enjoyed them. The Chicken Green Curry came with sticky rice and was ordered at a medium spice level (5/10). It had a creamy coconut milk base, a mix of vegetables, and a decent portion of thinly sliced boneless chicken breast. The flavor was decent, though not exceptional. The Seafood Pad Cha was average — neither great nor terrible. It didn’t leave a strong impression and probably isn’t something we’d return for. The Egg Noodles, unfortunately, didn’t meet our expectations. We’ve had better versions of this dish elsewhere in the area. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Mango Sticky Rice. Perfectly ripe mango paired with sweet sticky rice made for a delightful ending to the meal. We would absolutely go back just for this dessert. Overall, the dining experience was good. The service was excellent — quick, attentive, and friendly. While not everything wowed us, the warm hospitality and a couple of standout dishes made the visit worthwhile.

Sip Saam Thai is a hidden gem that offers a perfect blend of authentic flavors and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The decor exudes a warm Thai charm, making it ideal for both casual meals and special occasions. The Thai iced tea is a standout, with just the right amount of sweetness and a rich, creamy texture that perfectly complements the meal. The fried rice is a flavorful, comforting dish, packed with fresh vegetables and well-cooked rice, while the short ribs are incredibly tender, melting in your mouth with each bite. The rich flavors of the ribs, combined with a perfect balance of spices, make them a must-try. To end the meal, the mango sticky rice is a true highlight—ripe, sweet mango paired with velvety coconut rice that strikes the perfect harmony between sweetness and texture. This dessert is the ideal way to conclude a memorable dining experience. Overall, Sip Saam Thai impresses not only with its delicious, authentic Thai dishes but also with its delightful ambiance, making it a top choice for Thai cuisine lovers.
Jobie A — Google review
I’ve been enjoying Thai food for years and have been introduced to a wide range of authentic dishes by close Asian friends. So when I saw a dish called Kra Pow On Fire listed on this restaurant’s Google menu, I was genuinely excited to try it. I tried calling several times to place the order, but no one picked up. I then ordered online, where I only found a similar-sounding dish called Pad Kra Pow. I’ve had Pad Kra Pow many times before — it usually comes with ground meat, herbs, rice, and a fried egg. I assumed Kra Pow On Fire was just a spicier variation of this, renamed on their online system. What arrived was completely different — chunks of meat, no egg, and clearly not what I had in mind. When I called to explain the issue, I was shocked by how rude the staff were. Rather than listening or acknowledging the confusion (caused in part by their own menu setup), they immediately placed the blame on me and claimed that “all their customers know the difference.” That kind of attitude is completely unacceptable — especially considering I spent over $60 on this order. Restaurants should take responsibility when there’s a clear miscommunication stemming from their own system, not belittle the customer for it. For $60, I expected better food and basic respect. There are plenty of Thai spots that serve great food with great service. This one is neither. Save your money.
Anuradha K — Google review
I popped into Sip Saam Thai and it was a delightful surprise. Their Khao Soi (coconut curry noodle soup) struck just the right balance of creamy and spicy, and the Pad Kee Mao had a bold, fragrant punch with fresh basil and chiles. The Thai iced tea was smooth, not overly sweet — perfect alongside the heat. The space is cozy and relaxed, and the staff were warm and patient when I asked about spice levels and dish recommendations. Portions were generous and the ingredients tasted fresh. Definitely a spot I’ll be back to when I’m craving quality Thai food.

DEE DEE is a food trailer known for serving up authentic Northeastern Thai street food with market-fresh ingredients. The popular spot offers a variety of pork-centric dishes, including stir-fried pad kaprow, slow-roasted laab moo, and moo ping skewers. Their Sunday BBQ rotisserie chicken is also a hit among visitors. The name 'Dee Dee' means 'good good' in Thai, which perfectly captures the deliciousness of their Northwester-style Thai cuisine.
Dee Dee has some unique Thai food. The style is definitely different than most Thai places as I thought the flavors were less on the sweet side. I got their red curry and the mango sticky rice which I definitely recommend. The only downside of Dee Dee is that their wait times can be long and their hours are kind of strange.
Mason C — Google review
Love Deedee!!! The Pad KaPow is fantastic.. We enjoy it so much that we have never ordered anything else! I like the “low spice” option, but sometimes I add a little bit extra of the sauce that they include in the box. The fried egg on top is delicious ! Such a great food truck restaurant, both of the owners are really very nice. The food is consistently good and ready on time.
Jane R — Google review
First time here after looking for recommendations on Yelp, well I made it to the food truck and the Man there was a little unwelcoming expo to me the situation about the place to be in the process of closing the end of this month and probably overwhelmed with all of the large orders that people were waiting this afternoon. I was excited to try their food but sadly there was only one item available and it was the pad Kapow, after 2 hours my meal was ready, my only item was very well presented and packed, here is the reason why the 3 stars, Probably is not my type of dish but I had pad Thai food in the past and today my well presented dish Was not extremely but Salted minced meat over a large amount of Rice with some salted small side of sauce. If only I had known what I would receive, I wouldn’t have returned for my order. I’m understand that I haven’t tried the rest of their food but one dish I think is enough to know what else to expect.
Jose A — Google review
Portions are ridiculously tiny. The rib main course consists of 3 ribs, mostly bone. Maybe 1.5 Oz of meat. They give you a decent amount of rice, so I guess thats the filler. We also got some bbq chicken main and it was equally tiny. Tsk tsk.

Wow! I heard this place from YouTube and they are definitely worth the hype. Every dish looked so simple, yet so good. This is really some authentic Thai food you won’t be able to find elsewhere. You can taste the love and passion they put in everything! The wait can get a little long, so I recommend to pre-order pick up online. Super recommended!
JiShun Z — Google review
Food truck serving country-style northeastern Thai food. They only take online orders, and they advise you to pre-order well ahead of time due to long wait times. That way you can choose your desired pick up time. The first order we placed was for Pad KaProw and the Gaeng Daeng. Their mango stick rice was “sold out” earlier in the day when we placed our first order, but when we checked back later it was back in stock and we were able to order it for the same pickup time. The Pad KaProw consists of spicy minced pork, jasmine rice, cucumber, a fried egg, and fried basil, and it comes with a spicy dipping sauce on the side (nam pla prik). The Gaeng Daeng is a spicy red curry with chicken, eggplant, melon squash, basil, and it comes with a generous side of jasmine rice. My overall thought for both the Pad KaProw and the Gaeng Daeng was: SO SPICY. Too spicy for my taste, and it made the dishes inedible. To be fair, they let you choose your spice level, and we stuck with the “normal” spice level, so this was our mistake. I would highly advise choosing the lowest spice level the first time. Luckily, the experience was saved by the mango sticky rice. This is a wonderful dessert that consists of a huge, ripe, delicious mango, sitting on a bed of coconut milk sticky rice, with a coconut milk sauce on the side. It saddens me that this dessert is seasonal, because it was perfect. Get it while the mangos are in season! Parking is tricky. They have a few parking spots in the front, and a small parking lot in the back. It was busy during the week, so I imagine it’s pretty hard to find parking on weekends.

We finally tried Dee Dee's and was wondering what took us so long. The food was exceptional and tasty. I had the Om Gai (rustic herbal chicken soup), which was so delicious, and my husband had their famous Pad Kaprow, which was also amazing. We were out of luck for their mango sticky rice but now we will definitely wait for that. We had approximately a 30 minute wait after ordering online but it's fully worth the wait.
Dharshini M — Google review
Dee-Dee is a great place for Thai street food in Austin. They use fresh ingredients straight from the farm, which makes their food even more delicious. We tried their Pad Kapow and loved it. The rice was full of flavors, and the spicy stir-fried pork went perfectly with it, along with the fried basil. Just be prepared to wait a while; we waited around 45 minutes for our dish.

Super Thai Cuisine is a cozy and compact restaurant in North Austin, offering a diverse menu of Thai classics and regional specialties. The restaurant's vibrant exterior with big colorful letters 'SUPER' sets the tone for the lively atmosphere inside. While known for its spicy dishes, Thai cuisine is actually a delicate balance of sweet, sour, salty, and bitter flavors influenced by neighboring countries like Laos, India, China, and Persia.
This restaurant is very busy but we were able to get seated right away. Our server was amazing, he was so fast, and knew what we wanted before we even asked. The food was good, big portions and very tasty. This place also has the best chilli oil, it’s like a paste, and not too spicy.
Samhitha M — Google review
Staff: Very friendly, attentive and welcoming Order: Chive Dumplings, Crab Fried Rice, Pad Kee Mow, Pad Thai Environment: Very cute decor and cozy inside. We were there with friends for lunch but I could see how it would be a cute date spot at night. There were quite a few "influencers" in there, even on a slow afternoon (but this is Austin after all. lol.) Pricing: Affordable but pricing have gone up since their online menu. Big portions and enough to take home. Overall: We thought that the food was great and lived up to all the hype! Great hidden gem. We will def be back. Our only issue was that the crab fried rice had quite a bit of shell in it that we had to take out...but that lets you know that they're using real crab! Also, note that they don't ask you what spice level you would like on your food like a "normal" Thai place so be sure to specify!
Amber D — Google review
Very good Thai food here and I highly recommend it! I got level 3 spice which wasn't overly spicy but had enough spice that you could taste it without getting overwhelmed with the heat. The flavor of the dish that I had was also really well done but it wasn't the best meal I have ever had. However, I also had the mango sticky rice and that was delicious and I highly recommend it and I would go there again just to have that mango sticky rice!
Jesse J — Google review
I’ve been here a couple of times before and had decent experiences, but this time the food was below average. The spring rolls were just okay and flavourless, and the sea bass—listed as a pan-fried dish—came drenched in sauce, which was disappointing. The only dish that stood out was the Pad Thai, which was fine. Overall, the quality of the food needs improvement.
Qurat F — Google review
Super tasty Thai food! I really enjoyed the Pad Thai, while the Pad See Ew leaned a bit salty (especially if you’re used to the sweeter style). The fried calamari was crispy and delicious. Service is casual but efficient. I came on a weekend and found plenty of parking, just remember to validate. Most dishes are chicken-based, with a small upcharge ($3–$4) for pork or beef. Overall, a satisfying spot for Thai food!
T C — Google review
First time here for dinner. Smallish hole on the wall Thai place. Generic named restaurant. Didn’t really know what to expect. Pleasantly surprised with some of the better Thai I’ve had in a while. Tried some standard dishes: crab fried rice, pad see eew, and their veggie dish. Ordered one star because of my son. There was something in the crab fried rice that gave it a lot more kick than one star. Also tried their fried pork dumplings as an appetizer. I would say all dishes were above average. While not fancy, there was a little more presentation effort than strip mall Thai. Below average restaurant name, above average food. Would not hesitate to go back here again.
Steven N — Google review
Rating: 3.1/5 [delivery] My husband ordered through Postmates, and I thought the food was overpriced for the small portion sizes and the overall quality. A10 Son In Law ($11.50): Thai fried boiled eggs in tamarind sauce topped with diced red bell pepper, fried shallot, fried chili, and cilantro. Easily the best dish of the night with bold and balanced flavors that really stood out. A12 Thai Sweet Sausage ($10.35): Lightly fried Thai sweet sausage over a bed of spring mix with sriracha sauce. Honestly a rip-off. It looked like maybe 1.5 sausages sliced up, and the flavor was basically like Chinese sausage, just a bit sweeter and less fatty. A18 Dancing Crab ($11.50): Deep-fried breaded soft shell crab with crispy taro, diced red bell pepper, green onion, and citrus ponzu sauce. Not bad, especially considering we did not reheat it. The crispy taro was fun to munch on and reminded me of thin, crunchy fries. Side of Fried Pork Belly ($5.90): Super dry and overcooked. The only way it was edible was by dipping it into the Son In Law sauce, which helped a little.

Wat Zab Thai Food is a popular food truck in Austin, serving up traditional and flavorful Thai cuisine since 2013. The menu features a variety of dishes, including vegetarian and vegan options made with locally-sourced ingredients. The friendly owners and staff provide excellent customer service, making it a favorite spot for locals seeking authentic Thai flavors. With reasonable prices, generous portion sizes, and gluten-free choices available, Wat Zab offers a full experience that's hard to beat.
The thai food here is delicious and authentic. The people who work there have exceptional service. Although it is a food truck, they made sure to check on us, that everything was good, and we had what we needed. We got pad thai and tom kha. Both were great and it will probably be my new go to thai place. I also like that their spicy levels go from none to as spicy as you want. We got mild and it was literally perfect for us- just a hint of spice. Def check it out!

This is one of my favorite places in Austin for affordable and delicious Thai food made with lots of care. I always get the crab fried rice. Highly recommend. This food court pavilion is also a great space with covered tables, indoor restrooms, EV chargers, and a playground.

The service was spot on; they were very friendly, spoke to us about the spice level, and were generally very pleasant. We chose to sit outside the van and eat so they gave us some bottles of water, some bug spray, and they brought out the food as it was ready. The pad see ewe was delicious and the penang curry was pretty spicy (as advised), but great flavours and overall really tasty. The sampler spring rolls was a great idea, and each roll was packed with goodness. The mango sticky rice was very flavoursome and portion sizes were great value for money.

This truck is in such a nice food truck park! I ordered the chicken pad Thai. You can choose the protein and spice level. The owner recommended going for the mild option, and I’m glad I listened. I enjoy spicy food but also deal with acid reflux, so I thought mild was the perfect amount of spicy. The only thing that was missing was the cilantro. Overall, it was one of the better pad Thai’s I’ve tried.
Mariana G — Google review
The pad kee mao with chicken was vibrant and spicy. I really enjoyed the texture of the noodles, even after a long travel. The taste was strong too. I'm going to go back to try more of this food truck's dishes. Hopefully I can enjoy the seating area too.

I got the panang curry and a Thai iced tea. The iced tea was excellent. The service was friendly and quick. The area has many pleasant places to eat. The curry was fine but not great. The sauce had good flavor but the meat was sparse and boiled-tasting, not flavorful. The veggies were cut too large and a little undercooked. Also, it was served in containers that made it hard to eat - a small styrofoam (any other material would be better) for the rice without room to add the curry. So, I did enjoy it, because the sauce had good flavor, but I wouldn’t get the curry again.

Mai Thai Restaurant is a charming Thai eatery located near the convention center in downtown Austin. The art-adorned dining room provides a cozy atmosphere to enjoy classic Thai cuisine. Visitors rave about the rich and aromatic flavors of the Tom Kha soup, which perfectly balances coconut milk, lemongrass, and spice. The menu offers a wide variety of classic Thai dishes, including Pla Lard Prik and Pad Ped, as well as an impressive selection of green and red curries.
Took the team to lunch to celebrate a new hire and got great service, food and atmosphere. The big screen always shows fun videos and you need a little more laughter these days. Time estimates for the orders were provided (to set expectations) and they delivered. The salmon special was delicious. All the flavors combined created an enjoyable flavor explosion. It wasn’t too loud, though full; so we could still hear our conversations. The waitress added a little fun with jokes between refilling drinks. I recommend the place for its food, fun service and atmosphere.

Wow! What a presentation! I ordered Mai Thai Red Snapper with Lime Juice & Sweet and Sour and a bowl of Wonton Soup made of Shrimp and Chicken. Since I am in Austin, Texas I want to give a try Mai Thai Restaurant. I know my Asian Food should taste specially the Fish. I love their Wonton Soup. However.,the Mai Thai Red Snapper kind of disappointing., I know, it was written with Lime Juice probably to take the fishy taste. Once the Fish is stir fried with ginger, garlic, onions and the other vegetables, the fishy taste go away. The sweet and sour sauce was dominated by the lime juice which produced of kind of a bitter taste on the sauce. The dish is swimming wi the sauce which didn’t taste good at all. Moreover, if they could have only seasoned the deep fried fish with salt and pepper. I have to eat it blunt. I am just being honest.

Mai Thai in Austin is absolutely incredible! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the cozy, inviting atmosphere instantly makes you feel at home. The food is bursting with authentic Thai flavors — every dish is perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The Kao Soi and Tom Yum are out of this world, and their dumplings and egg rolls are so fresh and flavorful. You can really tell everything is made with care and high-quality ingredients. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. Whether you’re dining in or ordering takeout, Mai Thai never disappoints. Easily one of the best Thai restaurants in Austin!

I was underwhelmed. I've had basil Thai rice before. This was meh. I didn't think they were very friendly either. I intended to eat there, but I was freezing. They offered to get my food to go while I waited outside. They could've easily offered to serve me there. When I got back to my hotel, I found that I needed to assemble some things. I probably did it wrong, accounting for the sub par taste. (I'd also ordered some clear noodles and beef soup) So far, my least favorite dining Austin experience.

Delicious food! We ordered the shrimp spring rolls appetizer which were very good. Then I ordered the Po Tak soup which is a flavorful seafood soup with a citrusy taste. My boyfriend got the pad thai and commented that it had a sweeter flavor than what we were used to but he enjoyed it. Sweet server and chill atmosphere.

Loved this place. Tried their mai thai fried rice with seafood and fried chicken wings, and they were both so good that I decided to come back and try more dishes - pad kra prao, seafood namkhon soup, pork sausage & sticky rice, all of which were also delicious! Very reasonable pricing! Price guide (as of Oct 2025): Pork sausage & sticky rice $12 Seafood namkhon $10 Chicken pad kra prao $18 Tax $3.30 Mai Thai fried rice with squid, shrimp & scallops $25 Fire chicken wings $10 Tax $2.89

Thai Kun is a popular spot known for its spicy Thai cuisine, offering vegan options and cocktails. The restaurant gained attention when it landed on Bon Appetit's Best New Restaurants list. Chef-owner Thai Changthong continues to impress with signature dishes like the Crispy Coco, featuring rice toasted in a clay pot topped with coconut cream, cucumber, and silken tofu. Other must-try items include the Waterfall Pork and papaya salad.
Thai Kun impressed me once again on my second visit, offering bold, authentic Thai flavors in a lively and casual setting. This time, I opted for the crispy wontons, which were perfectly fried and filled with savory goodness—an excellent way to start the meal. The pork pad see ew was delicious, featuring smoky noodles and tender pork that created a well-balanced dish. Chef Thai’s roasted chicken was another highlight, juicy and infused with aromatic spices—definitely a must-try. On our first visit, we sampled the pad ka prow and green curry, but found them a bit too spicy for our taste, and unfortunately, there’s no option to request a milder version. Still, the flavors at Thai Kun are outstanding, and the menu is worth exploring. With attentive service and vibrant dishes, it remains a top choice for Thai cuisine enthusiasts.

Good food. Pad thai and the green curry were yummy!! Amazing food. The papaya salad was extremely spicy. I can handle spicy food and I love papaya salad but I couldn’t even finish one bite of their salad, it was that spicy.. be aware. The rest of the food and their drinks were amazing though

Solid Thai option for north austin, different from the typical store front Thai restaurants. Big fan of the Chinese broccoli and pork belly. My wife enjoys the glass noodles. Occasionally order the steak or whole fish.

Went to Thai Kun for dinner on a Saturday. We were seated immediately upon arriving. The ambiance is nice. We ordered a mushroom salad, octopus on the skewer, and pad see ew. Our favorite was the pad see ew as the octopus was a bit too spicy for our taste and the mushroom salad was quite good, but also a bit too spicy. ***When we ordered, we did request that our dishes be prepared on the low level of heat/spiciness. Our waitress was wonderful, welcoming and professional (she is from Thailand and taught us about the mushroom dish). We would recommend Thai Kun and will likely return, but we will be more careful with the items we order.

We started off with Thai Tea and it was amazing! Definitely feels more authentic than your usual Thai Tea since you can taste the tea flavoring and it wasn't too sweet, compared to most places. The main dishes were the Crab Rice and the Waterfall Pork. The Crab Rice had good flavor, texture, and wasn't too oily or wet. The dish could've had more crab, egg, and vegetables but overall still good with the sauce on the side. The Waterfall Pork was spicy, and packed with flavor but the pork was fattier than I expected. Overall good food, but nothing mind blowing!

First time visiting, but it's definitely not the last. My friend and i were celebrating her new job. The Old Fashion could have been much better, but the food definitely made up for it. My friend ordered the "off the menu" fried red snapper, and it was a not only visually appealing but flavourful, definitely not spicy, though some heat would have been welcomed. The waiter informed us that the fish could be shared, but they also have smaller ones that could serve one. We also tried the Thai Kun Fried Chicken, which was tasteful. The waiter was friendly and helpful, we sat outside and it was very nice and with the cool weather it took the whole visit to another level.

Love Thai kun and they don't take reservations so you may be able to just walk in on any given evening. The food is so spicy torture but oh so delicious. My favorite is the Pad Ka Prow but apps are great as is the crab crispy coco, steak, curry... it's all good!
Joanna M — Google review
The Food was fantastic! Corn Fritters are the best Appetizer ever. It comes with a fantastic sauce that is spicy/sweet. I wish they would give you more napkins because it can get messy lol. I was also as super happy with my entree. The Pad See Ew was great. I choose the tofu but would choose the pork instead next time.

Thai Taste is a hidden gem located in a strip mall off Highway 71, offering traditional Thai favorites and lunch specials in a modern setting. While it can get crowded during lunchtime due to nearby corporate offices, dinner service is more relaxed. The decor may be minimal, but the portions are generous and the service is efficient. Known for its Pad Se Ew dish, this restaurant has garnered praise from locals for its flavorful food and friendly staff.
This is our favorite Thai restaurant in Austin! They have good curry, pad Thai, and fried rice. I also enjoyed the crispy duck. Service is good and the atmosphere is cool and unique. They had a live DJ one of the nights we were there. An underrated Austin Gem.

The service is slow be prepared to wait. It seems they do both online and to go food orders. I think the food makes up for the delay but if you don’t like to wait this place is not for you. I really like the cup my lemonade came in it’s dope. I ordered the crispy vegetable egg rolls for appetizer. They were very good. Just like the name said nice and crispy. The sauce they serve with it is delicious as well. For entree I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu. I loved it. Great flavor and I really liked the chopped peanuts it makes you get a better peanut distribution. Overall I think I will come back but maybe try a to go order.

I don’t care where you are in Austin, this is the best place to get Thai food. I’ve been to several other places through Austin and through the state and this is by far my favorite. The food is amazing, the staff is SO KIND, and the atmosphere is delightful. It’s not over the top, it’s not overwhelming, but it’s not divey either. I come here all the time and they know my face and my order. Always perfect to make a bad day better, or a good day amazing. Eat here!

Thai Taste is an authentic Thai restaurant in Southwest Austin. Don't let the 290 construction keep you away, this is worth a lunch visit. I’ve enjoyed the Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao wide noodles with beef. Lunch came with a small soup (or salad) and I always have more for leftovers.

AMAZING thai food!! We will definitely be back! it was all delicious and reasonably priced. It was also beautifully plated and the service was wonderful. Very clean bathrooms and cute restaurant. We brought kids and they were very kid friendly. We payed about $50 for 3 entrées and a dessert which fed al 3 of us and we took probably a third of it home because there was so much.

Luv Thai Cuisine is a charming eatery with vibrant orange walls that serves a variety of Thai dishes, ranging from traditional favorites to more unique offerings. The atmosphere is delightful and cozy, filled with natural light and comfortable sofas. The beer selection is refreshing and cold, while the food itself is fresh, flavorful, and incredibly delicious.
This place is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in South Austin! The staff is super friendly, the food is out of this world and I love the neighborhood that it's in. I always enjoy the egg rolls, beef dish and the golden noodles the most! It's a great place for date night or to have get together with friends and family. I highly recommend them!

Located on Brodie, this restaurant offers Thai delicacies along with a few chinese options. The food was very delicious and the service was prompt, efficient and very friendly. While I only tried their take out option, i would certainly give it another try. Among other dishes, I tried their green curry along with Thai rice, both the dishes were delicious indeed.

Great spot for Thai in south Austin with tons of gluten free options! Menu is clearly labeled and they even have gluten free crab Rangoon (although it’s different shaped). Pad Thai was very yummy and so was the curry. Super quick service too.

We finally got a chance to have lunch and ordered drunken noodles, egg rolls and garlic beef stir fry. The drunken noodles and egg rolls were excellent! The beef stir fry with rice was decent and tasty but the side veggies fell a bit short from what we were expecting. During lunch they had tofu soup and a simple salad bar included with your entree which was a nice touch. Looking forward to trying other dishes in the future but it's definitely a nice option especially price wise for lunch.

Quick service. Good food. Highly recommended the golden noodles. The rice balls were good too but a tad sweet for our liking.

LUV Thai Cuisine is our new favorite Thai restaurant in Austin. Food is not overly spicy and very well seasoned (you can request hot, or get a side of their Thai hot pepper flakes to spice it up!). We read the recent reviews and ordered the Yellow Curry, Shrimp Pad Thai and the Pad Pak stir fry. All were delicious! Serving size was generous and we were able the share and still have some to take home. Lots of jumbo shrimp on the Shrimp Pad Thai. See pictures and short video for current hours, menus, food, and dining room. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Austin! Can't wait to go back when we visit again.

Sway is an award-winning modern Thai restaurant located in West Lake Hills, Texas. The restaurant offers a rooftop dining option with stunning views of downtown Austin. Known for its exceptional cuisine, Sway has been recognized as one of the best new restaurants by Bon Appetit and was recently voted the best brunch spot in Austin. The menu features modern takes on traditional Thai dishes made with fresh ingredients and traditional techniques.
First off, The way this restaurant has a scent of burning wood which is my favorite smell.. say less. As a former service industry worker and long time vegetarian, wow. The service was incredible. Very active front of house manager on the floor. Very nice and informative staff. I was here for my anniversary. No reservation around 5:30 with no wait. The cocktails were quality and fresh and quick. Appetizer was tempura veggies. The chili oil or whatever they mixed in with that sauce… perfect. I got the tofu pad Thai. Obviously a spin off of pad thai but the way the tofu was prepared was a first. It looked organically cut to mimic chicken. It was great flavor and I’m a pad thai connoisseur. The texture was also great. My partner got the blue crab fried rice. It’s great all around. If you like spice, ask for their homemade chili oil to elevate it. The amount of actual crab was impressive too. Apps and add on easy to grab sides were a bit slow but I’m nit picking. One last nitpicking bit is that I wish the bowl for this pad Thai is wayyy too small for the portion provided. Lastly, they box up whatever you want to take home so you don’t have to worry about it. They also label it and date it. Definitely coming back!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding reception at Sway in Westlake and I must say how incredibly impressed I was with the staff. The food was beyond amazing and the experience went beyond the quality of the food to the exemplary plating, attention to detail, and top notch service. They have quality bar drinks, fresh made sodas (the lime and ginger soda is a must try), and staff that go out of their way to ensure you have an amazing experience! It was an interesting visit, since some dishes tasted delicious and others were just okay. Liked the Tom Kha soup and the Pad Thai. The service was great and the atmosphere is more a get together at larger tables that you might share with strangers. The menu is not excessive like at many other places.

I was a regular when I lived in Austin and it's going to see it's still around . The menu classics have remained the same over the years and are still great. My only feedback would be to change the tiger cry steak back to whatever it was before the lean cut they use today . It has the texture of sirloin . Great service and a really cool atmosphere.

Had a great time at Sway! We went for an early dinner and sat on the beautiful enclosed rooftop. The atmosphere was wonderful, no matter what part of the restaurant you're in. The food and drink menus have good options and all looked and tasted amazing. Two of us got a drink each, split a starter and two mains. Splitting only one main would have sufficed as well, but they were both so good we took the rest with us. Definitely a must try and place to come back to.

Don’t be surprised by the seating arrangement. That’s right, you kind of sit really close next to randoms. However, it’s not that bad! The service was phenomenal. Kind of feel bad I forgot our servers name but I guess the best I can do is describe him as Shaggy from Scooby Doo … lol ( no offense if you read this ) But anyway, he was extremely intelligent, didn’t mind taking the time to break down the menu for us and providing us with solid suggestions. We ordered the Bok Choy, Steak $44, blue crab rice, Sia Mai (pork), anddddddd oh yes! We also ordered the baby bok choy. EVERYTHING and I mean each dish was fantastic. They have an open concept kitchen and those chefs know how to flavor dishes. The steak was melt in your mouth good but be careful with that paste they provide with the dish if you do not like spicy, don’t use it. The ambiance was on the darker side, semi loud with everyone seated together. Pro tip: If you sit outside, you probably won’t end up sitting with randoms. We will return and often. Prices were on par with what you are getting. My wife and I spent about 190 after tip. Forgot the dessert name but basically you pour tear on top of ice cream and it was just right to finish off the meal. We ended up bringing home enough left overs to have another dinner the next day. Follow me for unpaid detailed reviews in Texas, United States, and beyond.

Coat & Thai, a laid-back mobile eatery situated at The Picnic food trailer park on Barton Springs Road in East Austin, offers a delectable selection of traditional and spicy Thai dishes. This relaxed food truck provides both noodles and rice options, accompanied by picnic tables for a casual dining experience. While the wait time for your meal may be longer than usual, it is undoubtedly worth it to indulge in their authentic flavors. Coat & Thai's must-try dish is the renowned Pad Thai.
This food truck is a hidden gem! The crab Rangoon was crispy, creamy, and absolutely addictive—hands down some of the best I’ve had. The thai fried rice hit all the right notes too: smoky, savory, with perfectly chewy rice. Flavor bomb all around!

Rating: 3.5/5 [take out] This food truck was at the ACL GA+ Lounge, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the chicken pad Thai and egg rolls. The pad Thai had decent flavor, but the chicken was pretty dry and the portion size was on the smaller side. Definitely need the lime in my opinion. The egg rolls, on the other hand, were really good--crispy, warm, and flavorful. The order came with three vegetarian egg rolls which tasted better than expected.

The food was incredibly delicious—packed with bold flavors and perfectly cooked. The location is convenient and cozy, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was friendly and efficient, with everything arriving quickly and just as expected. Overall, it was a fast, simple, and satisfying experience for both the price and quality, especially for Thai cuisine. Highly recommend if you’re craving something tasty without the hassle.

Best value Thai food in Austin, in my opinion. The portions are amazing and the food is flavored extremely well. They have all the classic Thai dishes: we got the Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, and Pad See Ew, as well as the Crab Ran Goons. Everything is delicious, and more so each dish has a distinct taste from one another, so it doesn’t all taste the same. It’s a very busy food truck, but they still manage to get their food out fast! Great service and I highly recommend for authentic, reasonably priced Thai cuisine.
Brandon L — Google review
Great tasting thai food. And quantity per dish is better than most restaurants. So good portions. We got pad Thai with tofu and no eggs. They kept peanuts separately so that it can remain crunchy when we put it on top when we eat. That’s so thoughtful. We also got pineapple fried rice which almost tasted like Indian style fried rice but with pineapples so that was delicious as well. Amazing plus point - we got our order ready within just few minutes like barely 5 minutes and it was fresh , hot and delicious. Thai tea was good too. Overall good food for money.
Prarthana R — Google review
Came to Coat & Thai after looking for a good food truck park while visiting Austin. The food smelled amazing while walking by and browsing all the trucks. Ordered the Pad Thai since it's common dish as Thai restaurants, so gives you a good comparison measure. Also ordered the Spring Roll Shrimp and a few of the fruit drinks in a can. Prices were very fair and cheaper than most restaurants. Staff was very nice and friendly when placing the order. After about 10 minutes, they called my name to pick up the order. Food was packed nicely with the Pad Thai in a foil bowl with the peanuts packed separately. Spring Rolls were also packed neatly in their own container. Pad Thai and the Spring Rolls were both freshly made and presented nicely. Pad Thai was good, but I should've inquired if you had a choice of spice as it wasn't spicy at all. Noodles were cooked just right with a nice mix of green onions, sprouts, chicken, and peanuts. Spring Rolls tasted very fresh with large shrimp and fresh vegetables. They provided sriracha sauce and peanut sauce for the Shrimp Rolls.

Possibly the best Thai yellow curry I’ve ever had. The chicken Pad Thai was also excellent. The iced coffee was delicious and had just the right balance of milk to coffee and ice. My only warning is that the temperature at which the food is served is HOT. I burned my fingers trying to open the lid of the curry container and the liquid inside was scalding. Highly recommended for authentic Thai food at good prices.

Basil Thai is a cozy strip-mall kitchen in Austin that serves up a delectable blend of Thai, Taiwanese, and Asian cuisine. The menu features an array of hot pot meals, flavorful curries, and noodle dishes. Vegan options are available, and the restaurant is closed only on Tuesdays. Customers rave about the lemongrass beef and shrimp dry pot with Szechuan sauce. The modern twist on serving hot pot has garnered attention from food enthusiasts.
I love their food quality and the big portion size. Definitely try their spicy dry hot pot. The amount of protein is insane. I love the taste of mala that numbs your tongue. It's a strong flavor so i recommend eating with a bowl of rice to mitigate the sodium level. Please keep up with this portion size and food quality. I also tried curry hot pot and fried chicken. Fried chicken is also good but i wish they had more pineapple. It wasn't really proportional to the amount of chicken. Curry hotpot was good too. However, since it's a soupy dish, i hope they gave me a deeper extra bowl to eat it. It wasn't a flat plate but it wasn't deep enough so i had hard time scooping from it.

I was so excited to try out this restaurant Pineapple fried rice and the Beef Pad Thai . So disappointing the coloring on the food seasoning they used had so much coloring it was definitely not good. Taste was off and dry , they used 2 different batches of cashews which you can tell because it dark and reused in my order . Rather them throw it out the mixed with new fried nuts ughh not good . Over priced for the amount you get . Was greeted by a gentleman not to thrill to be needed at the counter . The dining room was nice my food was delivered quickly which made me wonder if was a reheated rather than an order made to order .
Brown L — Google review
Maybe it’s what I got, but this was way too spicy for us to eat, and I like spicy food. So use caution when ordering cause it can me a little much, but the saving grace was the egg rolls. I’ll try going back a second time and avoid whatever they put in there last time.

One of the best hotpots I have had in a while! I got the tom yum hotpot while my partner got the dry hotpot. While the dry one was a bit on the spicier side (which was expected), tom yum one was mild. We loved both styles. The lady serving us was very sweet and answered all the questions we had! Highly recommend visiting this place.

I am not sure how I would describe this restaurant other than it's ok. I went here because a YouTuber said it was good. The food was good for what my wife and I got. The price was steep for what I thought it was worth. It was $17.95 plus tax which is high for the amount. Like I said it was good but gosh the price, no thanks. The atmosphere was nothing special. In fact it was meh. It was dull and nothing special. Would I go back? No because of the price. I can get or go to the store for cheaper. Oh the hot pot thing was fine nothing exciting.
Ivan C — Google review
I ordered online from this restaurant. I was extremely disappointed in the green curry. The curry was very sweet, as if sugar had been added. It tasted like it came from a paste and not fresh ingredients. The worst part was the GREEN ARTIFICIAL FOOD COLORING in the curry that also dyed my chicken and vegetables dark green (see photos). Green curry should be naturally that color from the ingredients used. This restaurant clearly cuts corners. I’ll be looking elsewhere for a quality meal.

Nestled in the heart of North Austin, Thai Lada is a charming eatery that captures the essence of classic Thai cuisine without any pretentiousness. With its inviting ambiance and friendly staff, this restaurant offers a delightful dining experience for everyone, including those seeking vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options. The covered outdoor seating adds to its appeal, making it perfect for enjoying meals al fresco.
My favorite Thai restaurant in Texas. The authenticity, flavor, quality, and consistency are unmatched in my opinion. I’ve been a loyal customer for 3 years now. I tell all my people about it. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order. Some personal favorites are their: crispy vegetable rolls, papaya salad, crab rangoon, pad see ew (add egg & garlic)…. Service is excellent, food is fresh to order and hot, if you didn’t know now you know 🙃

Always nice service, food comes out in a timely manner and fresh. Outside patio seating, despite it being right next to a major road. The edamame are a little difficult to eat because of the many red pepper flakes, fried chicken dumplings were 10/10, the mixed veggies with egg noodles was delicious, and the crab fried rice was a 7/10. Plenty of parking and very reasonably priced.

Everything about this place feels upscale except the prices. Very flavourful food and authentically prepared and presented. I loved the spring rolls and sauce that came with it. However unlike other reviews i felt the service could be better. We were served one of our starters with the main course itself and another starter and thai milk tea reached us when we were halfway through the main course. Also, the servers were acting very rushed even though the place was half empty still. Overall I loved the food and the whole outdoor dining experience. The lighting and the ambiance were very nice and cozy. It’s a dog friendly place so my kids were just petting other dogs 😊 I payed 50 bucks for that much which was a nice feeling too

The service here was as good as it gets. We were seated and had our hot food within 10-15 minutes. We highly recommend the thai milk tea. All of the servings were very large and good value, however the flavor was a tad generic but solid. For quick and easy large servings, you can't go wrong.

First time here. We were walking to the door and a man got up from his seat and graciously opened the door for my 9 months pregnant daughter. Did not know he was the owner but that gracious gesture set the tone for the entire experience. From the moment we walked in hands down everything was perfect: service and food. Portions were phenomenal for a lunch special. Marang our server was so nice and on top of everything. Our food came out fresh and hot! We were just passing by and decided to stop here. So glad we did. This is definitely a place we will frequent often!

Rude service. We order cashew curry, it was good. Then we ordered glass noodles, we were three had few spoons and decided we cannot eat and ordered basil fried rice. We called the other waiter and told glass noodle was not good and smelled too fishy. She took it inside. Then we tasted basil fried rice and with spice level 4 it tasted like some sweet sauce in it and it was really soggy. We told the actual waitress(trans lady) who first served us. She took it inside and bought it outside and said we already returned glass noodle and this cannot be taken out of the bill. We were like fine. She just threw it on the table and said other table lady liked it why don’t you like it ? You should eat it, in a very rude and loud tone. We told it was not good and she started yelling in front of other customers. If you don’t want to refund that’s fine you don’t have to shout on customers. We told we don’t want to take the fried rice, then she angrily took away the left over fried rice inside. She was yelling don’t ever come again. She is not fit to be in a restaurant industry. No other staff came forward to stop her. Never visiting them again, low standard food.

Absolutely amazing food and the Owner Jim was so nice! My family and I came in for their lunch special and we were so happy to truly find an authentic Thia place we can now call our regular lunch spot. The lunch comes with a spring roll and a choice of soup. I would highly recommend coming here if you are looking for true Thia flavors and yummy options to choose from. 😋

We came here for dinner based on a friend’s recommendation. We came at a peak time when the wait staff was super busy but there were a couple of tables available and we were promptly taken to our table. Even though the service was busy waiting on diners who came before us, the wait staff ensured we were well taken care of. They were friendly and courteous. Food arrived on time and was delicious. We ordered Tom Kha hot pot, Pad Thai, Green Curry and Pineapple Fried Rice. All the items were yummy! Even though we felt it’s on a pricier side compared to other local Thai places, we’d love to come in again. This restaurant has outdoor seating as well and was quite beautiful but we chose to dine indoors. The decor was simple and welcoming.

The spacious dining room is perfect for sharing a few curries with friends at one of the big tables. Visitors praise the friendly staff and clean, comfortable atmosphere.
I had a great experience dining at Khon Thai. The restaurant has a lot of indoor seating, so it’s easy to get comfortable whether you're with a small or large group. My only minor complaint would be the music — it just wasn't quite to my taste (at one point they played "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees), and I found it distracting. That said, if you're with good company, it’s easy enough to tune out. Aside from that, everything else about the restaurant was excellent. The service was very attentive and friendly, especially my server, Vanessa, who was absolutely lovely. The portions here are incredibly generous. Seriously, come hungry or bring friends to share. The crab fried rice was delicious, packed with plenty of crab meat, and so large I was able to make four more meals from the leftovers. The tuna poke appetizer was fresh and flavorful, and I definitely recommend it. The crispy crackers paired with the tuna were a nice touch. The absolute standout for me, though, was the duck. Don’t be intimidated to order it. It came out perfectly cooked with super crispy skin, served with tempura vegetables that were different than the usual Japanese style -- it is a lighter batter. The tempura eggplant, in particular, was creamy and so good. I wasn’t crazy about the sweet sauce that came on the side for the duck, but that’s just personal taste, and the duck honestly didn’t even need it. For dessert, I had the sticky mango rice, which was beautifully presented with a gorgeous blue hue from butterfly pea powder. It was delicious and the mangoes were perfectly ripe and clearly in season. I also sampled the shrimp fried papaya salad, which was unique but not quite my favorite; it was a huge portion, though, and very crispy. It would probably be best to share that dish with a large group as an appetizer. On the other hand, the fresh papaya salad was excellent: super crunchy and flavorful. Overall, Khon Thai is a gem. Huge portions, a large, exciting menu, wonderful service, and fresh, beautifully prepared food. I’m already looking forward to going back to try more of their curries and saucier traditional dishes. If you haven't been, you definitely need to check it out. Get the duck!!!

We've been in this strip a number of times and have never gone to this restaurant. I was pretty excited at the opportunity to dine in, glad to say I wasn't disappointed! The decor was very nice and they had a very cozy outdoor patio. Right when we were sat, I was shocked to see that they served sushi. Of course I had to try it. To start we ordered the Spicy Edamame. The sauce was SO good, we practically drank it. After the appetizer, the sushi arrived. We ordered the Fire Cracker Roll. We were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. It had a heavy Kewpie sauce on top that really added flavor. For our main entree we ordered, we got the Yellow Curry (a staple at all Thai restaurants) and the Pepper Steak Hot Plate. The curry was so good and such a classic, The coconut milk did not have overwhelming flavor and the vegetables and chicken were cooked to perfection. As for the Pepper Steak Hot Plate, this dish was definitely one of the best Thai dishes I've had. The steak was very juicy and cooked well and the vegetables complimented it perfectly. Overall, I'm very excited to come back and support this local business! Would definitely recommend it for date nights or meeting up with groups!

Stopped by on a Friday night and got seated right away. Service was amazing + they had live music. Food was great! The pad thai did have a stronger fish sauce taste. Favorite item was the steak Brussels sprouts, satay, drinks, steak, pad Thai

Absolutely amazing Thai dining experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with beautiful traditional decor that makes you feel like you’re stepping into Thailand. The food was outstanding, our table enjoyed a variety of dishes, including papaya salad, fried pork with dipping sauce, a flavorful Tom Yum soup served over fire,... Every dish was fresh, authentic, and full of rich flavors. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. If you’re looking for authentic Thai food in Austin with both taste and experience, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

We came in over the weekend, and we're seated immediately. They had live music and the ladies sounded good(cover songs mostly ?) We started with the shrimp spring rolls. 😋The pad thai and beef ga prao were good, with the right amount of spice, per request. For dessert, we had mango sticky rice. It was good, a bit high in price, though. Overall, it was a good experience.

The Food was delicious and authentic. I went with my mom and sister during lunch. We are half Thai and this tasted like my Yai’s food when she would cook. We got the fried papaya salad, Tum Taad with Anchovy, chicken Satay, and Thai iced coffee. Everything was beautifully plated. It also didn’t take long to come out. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant as well with the soft lighting, decor, and music. Since it was our first time, we wanted to get things to share to test it out and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be back to order different entrees and appetizers. Our waitress was very nice!

Overall, our experience was great! The service was excellent, and the variety of flavors was really interesting. Although the sesame beef was a bit salty, we enjoyed the food and will definitely be back!

Really pretty restaurant with fun decor. Has a bonus room for overflow or even just private dining (if you want to book it). The boss was very nice to keep checking in on us to see how we are doing. However food too very long to arrive. We checked in on our food after 45mins of being seated and were told that our order is backed up by to go orders. Im appalled because I thought dining in customers should have priority or at least not be pushed back because of to go orders. The food tasted pretty good and the restaurant comp-ed us one free cake. One cake for 2 people to share (???) - why not one cake each? We chose the coconut cake which is a mix between pandan and coconut. Its a cake that everyone should try! Overall I would come back again but I will look out for whether the service has improved.

Kiin Di is a cozy and convenient spot in Austin, located close to a food truck and beer hub. The staff are friendly and patient, offering a wide variety of delicious Thai dishes such as Lemonade Thai Tea, Fried Noodles, Spring Rolls, Curry Crab, Thai Boxing Wings, Killer Noodles, and Lost Recipe with Fried Chicken. The food is fresh and tasty with crispy wings and flavorful noodles. The location also offers picnic tables outside and is adjacent to a bar for added convenience.
This was my first time having Kiin Di and it is absolutely AMAZING. It’s been on my list for a while, but I definitely will be coming again. One of the best Thai places I’ve had in Dallas and Austin. My food was warm, still crispy, packaged well. The workers were so kind and sweet. I hope they open a sit down restaurant or start a franchise!!

Awesome food always fresh ingredients always fresh ingredients. I’m repeating this. The corner bar is right next to the trailer. The corner bar that supports is an awesome atmosphere dog friendly’ I come from the generation of the armadillo world headquarters’ The atmosphere here is unique’ Good place to people watch! This was the best Thai food I’ve had in Austin! I wanted to try everything on the menu. The Thai Boxing Chicken Wings with the OG Thai seasoning were super crispy and juicy. It was the perfect balance of both. The Old School Pad Thai had amazing flavor and gave the perfect amount of sweetness and acidity. The Rip and Dip Roti was also amazing. My favorite dish was the Creamy Curry Crab. It comes with soft shell crab with the perfect amount crispy-ness. The curry has a unique flavor and texture because it’s incorporated with eggs which give it this creamy texture and crab flavor that compliments the soft shell crab so well. I also tried the Ka Pow which would be an amazing choice if you’re looking to have a taste of a nostalgic home cooked meal. If you’re vegetarian, there’s also several vegetarian dishes with fried tofu. If you’re in the Austin area, you should definitely check out Kiin Di!

Phenomenal! I have been searching for great Thai food in Austin for years. This place has been on my radar for a while, but I haven’t had the chance to visit during their operating hours. The food is outstanding—no question about it! I had to exercise restraint not to eat the entire order in my car before driving off. The taco is truly exceptional; it is just so good!

Overall: 4.7/5 [Delivery] We ordered delivery, and it was phenomenal! This is the best food we've had delivered in Austin--I can only imagine how incredible it tastes fresh. Dang! Curry ($14): Spicy coconut curry with a medley of potatoes, roasted onions, and jasmine rice, served with your choice of chicken or fried tofu. The description wasn't too appealing, but since it was a popular item, we gave it a shot and chose chicken for our protein. I'm so glad we did! The curry exceeded expectations--flavorful, yet balanced, without being overly salty or umami-heavy. Thai Me Down Roti ($9.50): Thai-style fried chicken, spring mix, pickled cucumber, cilantro, red jalapeño peppers, and spicy Thai aioli, all wrapped in a roti--absolute genius! I had high expectations for this, and it did not disappoint. It's filling on its own, but if you're sharing, another appetizer might be a good idea. While great on its own, the dipping sauce takes it to another level. It's the most flavorful sauce I've ever had--you don't need much, and it works as a dip for so many things. Every bite was crispy perfection, from the roti to the chicken. I think about this dish whenever I'm deciding what to order! Thai Boxing Chicken Wings ($12.50): Five crispy Thai-style fried chicken wings with your choice of sauce: OG Thai seasoning (dry), spicy chili lime (dry), or spicy tamarind (wet). We went with OG Thai seasoning, which seemed to be a mix of salt, pepper, and fried shallot. While decent, the wings didn't stand out like the other dishes. I recommend dipping them in the chili sauce they come with for extra flavor. The Lost Recipe With Fried Chicken ($14.50): Thai-style fried chicken served with Mom's ginger rice, pickled cucumber, and sweet chili sauce. This was better than the wings but didn't quite compare to the roti. The portion seemed a bit smaller than the other items. The chicken was only slightly crispy when we ate it, but that may be because I tried it last. Spicy Tamarind Sauce ($0.75): This sauce was amazing mixed with rice. I cannot wait to try their Killer Noodles, Old School Pad Thai, Ka Pow Street Style, and Creamy Curry Crab next!
Angelica L — Google review
Their crispy soft crab curry is so good it melts in your mouth and the flavor of coconut milk makes you want to devour your soul into it! The Thai me Down roti is my all time favourite thing to order from Kindii for its surprising flavours! Thai boxing chicken wings dipped in the tamarind sauce is also really good if you’re into crispy wings!

Parking and dining spot was a challenge, but the food made up to it. Probably one of the most authentic and delicious Thai food I’ve had in Austin. I will come back to this place for a togo every time I have a Thai cuisine cravings

we got here around 8:30pm and they were sold out of most popular dishes. however, the dishes we ordered (pad thai, coconut curry, roti) were incredible. there was so much flavor and the coconut curry was so rich, it was delicious! i will definitely return to try the other popular dishes. come early!

Thai Thani is a vibrant green and yellow food trailer located behind a Valero on Manor Road. The menu offers classic Thai dishes such as green curry, pad thai, and fried rice, with the pad see ew being a standout. The restaurant prides itself on serving fresh, high-quality, authentic Thai cuisine. They have recently made changes to their ingredients by using non-GMO tofu and olive oil for stir-fry dishes.
100% halal and It was so good! Highly recommend the cashew chicken it’s a family favorite now! We also got the drunken noodles which were the perfect spice level at level 3. And we got the pepper steak which was perfectly tender and delicious! They were the sweetest two ladies running the truck and food was a good quantity. There was even parking near the food truck which is surprising! Best Thai food in Austin fs!
MeiRou O — Google review
Really good! One of the best Thai I tried in Austin. This food truck has so many options and I decided to try the green curry. Spicy, flavourful, balanced, and large quantity. The little touch of coconut oil or aroma in the rice says a lot! I really enjoyed the meal overall! Super recommended!
JiShun Z — Google review
This is my go-to spot in Austin! I have lived in Austin for more than ten years and I continue to find myself craving Thai Thani year after year. Tai and her mother are incredibly friendly. My favorite menu items are the tofu pad thai and tofu fried rice. Both are very authentic. They can also make it truly very spicy, which I love. Most importantly, everything here is made fresh and exactly to order. Everything about the neighborhood spot is absolutely amazing!!
Kevin M — Google review
We were so looking forward to this place after seeing the reviews but ended up with disappointment. We got their drunken noodle, pad see eaw and egg rolls. The food was burning hot, but lacked salt, spice and any flavor for that matter. It was very very bland and dry. The portion was big enough for 2 people to share.
SS — Google review
Food lacks flavor, wouldn't recommend it. I ordered chicken fried rice, and it hardly had any vegetables or chicken. It's just plain rice with eggs scrambled. Needless to say, the staff is not super friendly either. I am sure everyone has their taste, but I am seriously disappointed, and thanks for taking time to respond and asking what went wrong.
Raj P — Google review
This is a family operation featuring authentic Thai recipes. We sampled 3 dishes, and they were all excellent. The soup was incredibly flavorful, and you can add tofu 😋.the green curry was on the sweeter side but still packed heat. The star for us was the drunken 🍜 you can control the spice from 1 to 5. We tried level 3, and I broke a sweat but loved every bite. Also, I love that they use compostable or reusable containers for the takeaway dishes.
Jamie H — Google review
We had the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew and were very disappointed. The portions were huge but the taste simply wasn’t good. The Pad Thai was way too sweet and the Pad See Ew was way too salty.
Jeanie L — Google review
For as much food there is in Austin, I have not been able to find a good pad Thai until now!!! Delicious and large portions, thank you Thai Thani! The only downside is that the parking is very tight but with the help of some very kind strangers, you can get out:)
