Extended stay hotel
Located in the heart of downtown Austin, Four Seasons Hotel Austin offers luxurious accommodations and top-notch amenities with a touch of Texan hospitality. The hotel provides 294 stylish guest rooms overlooking either the lake or the vibrant cityscape. Guests can enjoy services like twice-daily housekeeping, 24-hour in-room dining, and a multilingual concierge for a hassle-free stay.
Amazing service. Everyone is super-nice. They basically say yes to any request you make. Can I check in at 9AM – Sure! Check out at 3PM Sure! This hotel is located right next to the bridge with bats, so you get to experience their swarming behavior without much effort. Great pool and reasonable food. Do double check you bill as someone put their tab on my room.

This is a good hotel. The rooms are great. I was allowed to check in 5 hours early. Which made up for them not letting me check out late on a longhorn football weekend. Room service was great. They brought a microwave and fridge to my room for me to help me accommodate my diet. Internet was free. Room had a nice view, and bottled water was good. Overall, pleasant stay

I cannot say enough kind words to the staff here. They took the words excellent customer service and details to a higher level. My family stayed here for a weekend trip with our infant in April. It was our first trip with our baby. The valet service was thoughtful and polite offering water when we came and went about our day. The check in desk was quick, and efficient and they were so sweet and kind. The restaurant staff was attentive and quick to accommodate any needs. But I need to bring up the level of detail from concierge and room service. When checking in we requested a crib in our room. Upon arrival we had a beautiful crib with tightly fitted crisp clean sheets. They provided a baby towel, baby soaps and lotions, and a diaper pail. They had a second refrigerator brought to our room so I could keep her milk chilled through the weekend. Once they came to deliver our welcome basket of chocolates they saw we had our baby. Didn’t think anything of it to be honest. When we came back after the spa they had brought a baby bib, plush longhorn toy and a book to read her that night. We have stayed in a lot of hotels all over the world and have never experienced this level of customer service towards our daughter. The trip was an absolute favorite and we will for sure be back.

Four Seasons Austin is simply spectacular. From the moment you arrive, you can feel that signature hospitality: warm, attentive staff always ready to help. The rooms are spacious, modern, and offer beautiful views of Lady Bird Lake. The restaurant and bar are a big plus: delicious food, well-crafted cocktails, and a relaxed yet sophisticated vibe. The common areas, like the pool and spa, are spotless and designed for pure enjoyment. Best of all is the location: right in downtown Austin, with easy access to restaurants, live music, and the famous lakeside trail. This is a hotel where excellence is non-negotiable, and the experience goes far beyond just a stay. Perfect for both business trips and relaxing getaways.

Reviewing High Tea at Live Oak. You must try it — everything was wonderful! I'm especially writing to highlight the exceptional customer service provided by the Director of Food and Beverage. He promptly and graciously resolved a minor inconvenience we experienced. It's reassuring to see that the high level of service one expects from the Four Seasons remains as impressive as ever.
PF — Google review
Stayed here for a week while attending a conference at the convention center. The location couldn’t have been more convenient, just a short walk away. The staff was incredibly friendly, the room was comfortable, and the views of the lake were a great bonus. Would definitely stay again for another event in Austin.

I recently stayed at the Four Seasons in Austin and it was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment I arrived, the staff set the tone with genuine hospitality and attention to detail. Check in was seamless and the lobby had a calm and elegant atmosphere that immediately made me feel like I was in good hands. The location of the hotel is perfect. It sits right on Lady Bird Lake which gives you beautiful views and easy access to the walking and jogging trails. At the same time, it is just a short walk from downtown Austin with all of its restaurants, music venues, and nightlife. It truly feels like the best of both worlds, a peaceful lakeside setting while being right in the middle of everything. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully appointed. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in and the linens felt luxurious. The view from my room looked out over the lake and the city skyline, which made both mornings and evenings special. Everything from the furniture to the lighting to the layout of the bathroom was thoughtfully designed. Small touches like a well stocked minibar, high quality toiletries, and plenty of outlets for charging devices added convenience and comfort. The property itself is stunning. The outdoor spaces are beautifully landscaped and the pool area feels like a retreat with comfortable loungers and excellent service. Sitting outside with a drink while overlooking the water was one of the highlights of my stay. The fitness center is large and very well equipped, making it easy to keep up with workouts even while traveling. Dining at the Four Seasons Austin is exceptional. The on site restaurant serves creative and flavorful dishes that highlight local ingredients. Breakfast was a standout with fresh options that ranged from light and healthy to rich and indulgent. The bar and lounge area have a lively yet sophisticated feel, perfect for enjoying a cocktail in the evening. Service in every dining setting was attentive and professional without ever feeling rushed. What impressed me most was the level of service throughout the hotel. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed genuinely invested in making sure guests were having the best possible experience. Whether it was housekeeping, concierge, or restaurant staff, everyone went above and beyond. I had a few small requests during my stay and each one was met with prompt and gracious service. The overall experience at the Four Seasons Austin is about more than just a place to stay. It feels like a sanctuary in the middle of the city, blending luxury with warmth and comfort. The combination of its unbeatable location, beautiful property, excellent dining, and extraordinary service make it a hotel that stands out even in a city as vibrant as Austin. I would absolutely recommend the Four Seasons Austin to anyone visiting the city, whether for business, leisure, or a special occasion. It is the kind of place that makes your trip memorable and leaves you already planning your return before you even check out.

Resort hotel
Nestled in the Texas Hill Country, Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa is a family-friendly retreat offering an array of amenities. The property boasts four golf courses, three pools, and over 30 fitness classes weekly. However, the highlight is its Mokara Spa, providing a range of rejuvenating treatments and healthy cuisine at the Spa Creek Cafe. Following a recent $150 million renovation, this resort offers stunning views and top-notch facilities including tennis courts and a fitness center.
The staff/service at the Omni is what shines most! The night manager, Hilario, was over the top exceptional, and his front desk staff followed his lead. It's nice to see a good manager giving staff an example and allowing them to be bubbly, yet professional! I saw smiles every time I encountered or walked past them! The grounds were beautifully maintained! And even in the 100° days, the golf course was GREEN and immaculate. I saw many grounds' keepers hard at work keeping it all lush. I had the pleasure of meeting Tony, Director of Agronomy, and was again overwhelmed with the personality and genuineness of the staff. He was welcoming, friendly, and eager to assist. I don't play golf and didn't have time to enjoy the spa. However, I met a woman outside the spa who had just had a massage and facial and said it was lovely and that I should definitely indulge. (Regretfully, I did not have time this trip, as I was only there for my husband's work meeting.) I want to quickly mention the hiking trail... it's not long, but it's fun! A little taste of nature to enjoy while being pampered. The pools and splash pad were very inviting after the hiking trail! They have beautiful views! The rooms were clean and comfortable. I really appreciate when you can cycle off the fan for the AC, instead of it constantly blowing. The shower head was very soothing and the water temp was perfect... easily adjustable. I never heard noises from other rooms or the hallway. As a side note, just to keep it real, my two very small criticisms were: 1) staff members (especially in a group) should probably not be on their cell phone/s while walking through the lobby, 2) the rolling carts that must travel through the lobby need rubber wheels!!! (It was SOOOO loud!) My pictures will not do it justice (and i only got some of the outside 🫣), but the Omni Barton Creek is representative of the beauty of the hill country of Texas as well as the people...Texans! Good job, Omni! Keep it up!
Elisia F — Google review
We went here for a work retreat and can't say enough good things about Omni at Barton Creek. The property is beautiful and staff was amazing. We spent all day in the spa. We do these spa days every year, but in years past have gone to a Hyatt property. This hotel and spa was on a whole other level. Made us feel like we'd been slumming it in the past, when we certainly had not. The Hyatt property was great, but the Omni is our new spot. We will be back. We ate at the Blind Salamander and the food and service was top notch. Had fun that evening at Billy Bob's and relaxed by the pools the next day. Love this place and can not wait to go back.

I had an amazing stay at the Omni Barton Creek for my 30th birthday! The resort is so comfortable and peaceful — the perfect place to relax and celebrate. The spa was also lovely and made the whole experience even better. A huge shoutout to Nathaniel and Jasmine for going above and beyond to make my birthday extra special! They decorated my room beautifully, added thoughtful touches, and made sure I felt celebrated the entire time. Their kindness and attention to detail made my stay unforgettable. I’d highly recommend this resort to anyone celebrating a special occasion — you’ll feel truly taken care of!

My wife and I had a truly restful experience on a weekend away without our children. We discussed another visit with the kids at a different time. The staff was phenomenal. Shout out to Anthony at the front desk who was so kind and friendly. He even put us on a scavenger hunt, which we crushed!!! Let’s Go Anthony!!!! From the cleaning crew, the pool staff, to the servers and hostess at the Blind Salamander 🦎 we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend a visit. Thanks everyone at Omni, we had a lovely time.

Our weekend staycation was incredible! When we arrived we received a complimentary room upgrade that made the trip even better. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the adults only pool and the great restaurants on the property. If you’re looking for a great hill country escape this is the place to go! Special thank you the Bryce the GM for making our trip one to remember!

We arrived safely in the Netherlands. We spent five nights here. In a word, it was "overwhelming." So beautiful and luxurious. We've never stayed in such a luxurious resort. Our thanks also go out specifically to Jolene Hoadley; she was very accommodating and empathetic. 🙏🏻 Thanks again, Jolene! We're truly homesick for your resort.

Go for the Golf & Views. Huge resort with multiple golf courses and stunning hill country scenery. Great amenities (spa, multiple pools, tons of food). You won't need to leave the property, but it's pricey!

Very responsive staff; great pool! Nice relax Area by outdoor bar too. Awesome gym. Nice live music and bar. Michelin star restaurant on site. Spa is not worth it. Small, not many amenities and massage chairs in nail salon vibrate in a weird way not relaxing. Pedi was good. Gold status covers parking and room Upgrade which means more detailed housekeeping. Plus pillow choice and nespresso machine.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Fairmont Austin: A Truly Exceptional Stay! From the moment we arrived, the Fairmont Austin impressed us as an urban oasis. The entire building is stunning, and our room was beautiful—luxurious, spacious, and impeccably designed. The amenities here are top-tier, especially the amazing pool deck. It offers sweeping skyline views and was a perfect place to relax. The thoughtful detail of providing sunscreen included for guests was a small touch that spoke volumes about their hospitality! Speaking of details, the exceptional service and attention to details from every member of the staff made our trip unforgettable. Whether it was the concierge or housekeeping, everyone was professional and genuinely kind. The location is also perfect. We loved that it was walking distance to both downtown Austin and the riverfront, making it easy to explore the city's best attractions without needing a car. A special shout-out to the coffee shop, Good Things — the delicious breakfast pastries were the perfect way to start every morning. BIG thanks to Jan for the pastries recommendation and the warm welcome at reception!

The Fairmont is beautiful, clean and modern. All the staff were helpful and the environment clean and inviting. However, what made it stand out for me was the housekeeping services. They did not just leave my room clean, but they left it well organized with thoughtful details I have not experienced before. For instance, they placed a clean towel on the sink and laid out my essentials, that I left there in a heap before rushing out for the day, in a neat and orderly fashion. I was impressed! They did that for my sundries left on the dresser as well. All that service coupled with genuine smiles and a happy demeanor. Wow!

I booked a room for me and my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Upon check-in, Colin at the front desk let us know that they had upgraded our room and were going to send up a surprise. I had booked a very relaxing pedicure for us shortly after we arrived (Jeannette and Loli did a great job and made sure we were comfortable) and when we got back to the room there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us. We ended up walking around downtown visiting different rooftop bars enjoying cocktails and the views, before we returned to the hotel and closed out the the night on the rooftop pool with a couple of cocktails, watching a rainstorm blow into town. We even indulged in room service for breakfast and the food was delicious and was delivered in a very short amount of time. Upon check-out, Rachel at the front desk was very nice and made sure we had a great time. Amazing hotel, incredible view, service that made us feel like royalty. I cannot wait to book again for our anniversary next year!

We had such an incredible experience at the Fairmont Spa in Austin. The space is beautiful, clean, spacious, and the perfect place to unwind in the heart of downtown. Our therapists, Janette and Citlalli, were absolutely wonderful — their attention to detail, skill, and care made the treatments exceptional. The beauty way products they used were amazing and left our skin feeling incredible. A huge thank-you to Brenna for coordinating our group visit — she made the entire process seamless and took care of every detail. From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully handled. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, luxury spa experience in Austin!

The Good - Clean, updated, higher end property with excellent climate controls in the room, great views, and top notch staff. Every person on the Fairmont team I interacted with were exceedingly professional and helpful. Clean, comfortable, safe, welcoming, and restful is what I care most about in a hotel, and the Fairmont did all of this exceptionally well. Areas for Improvement - The rooms only contains a mini-bar. The hotel provided a regular mini-fridge upon request - not a huge deal, but would be preferable to have it in the room without have to ask. We stayed at The Fairmont as part of a large conference. That meant a common start time in the morning, resulting in showers that were not great one hour before the conference start - luke warm water and low shower pressure. None of these are deal-breakers, but were slightly surprising for the price and reputation of The Fairmont (I've stayed at The Fairmont Palliser in Calgary in the past and had an absolutely remarkable experience, so I know the level of service this company is capable of. The Fairmont Austin is close, but just a touch below that world-class service of other Fairmont locations.
Geoff L — Google review
My overall stay was satisfactory. The room was comfortable, and the bed slept wonderfully. The view from the Deluxe King was also lovely. However, there were a few issues that took away from the experience. Upon check-in, there was a used water bottle left under the chaise lounge, which the cleaning staff had missed. The shower amenities were only partially filled, and the TV signal cut in and out several times. Most concerning was the shower itself—while the water pressure was fine, the temperature fluctuated unpredictably from warm to scalding and back again, which made it difficult (and a bit unsafe) to use. Overall, an average stay—pleasant enough, but with some maintenance and housekeeping details that could use improvement. Room 3756, in particular, should have the shower temperature issue addressed.

Fantastic experience! Ilayda works up at the pool and was so kind and helpful. She provided excellent service with a smile and gave us great recommendations. All staff and service were excellent. The rooftop pool scene was amazing with a great vibe and DJ on the weekend. Comfy rooms, quiet at night, and good food options.

I had a fantastic experience at the W hotel in Austin. Special shout out to Anthony and the crew with the valet service. From the moment I pulled up, the staff was professional, courteous, and efficient. They greeted me with a smile and made me feel special. My vehicle was brought to me quickly and in perfect condition, which gave me peace of mind. The team was well-organized and went the extra mile in making sure I was good. The service was consistently fast and attentive: each time I retrieved my vehicle, they had it ready right when I arrived, even during busy periods. I felt confident leaving my car in their hands. Great job!!

My wife and I have lived all around Austin for about 45 years. We still don’t get tired of doing staycations Downtown. Back in 2019 we had a condo downtown for a few years and decided to stay at the W for old times sake . We stayed two nights in a deluxe corner suite on the lakeside. Very nice. Anita at the front desk was super nice and very accommodating when our room wasn’t available when we arrived (a little early. ) We enjoyed ourselves at the bar - great mixologists there( Micah being one). Service was over the top. When they say “Whatever Whenever” they mean it. -in the nicest possible way. Breakfast outdoors in the Hotel restaurant was delicious and relaxing. Pool was great for laps, when we were there in mid September…and has a nice vibe. Not an inexpensive place, but you get what you pay for … we had a great time and look forward to doing it again next year. Highly recommended.

My experience at the W Hotel in Austin was amazing from start to finish. The atmosphere is modern, clean, and full of great energy, the kind of place that makes you feel instantly relaxed. The front desk staff were friendly and professional, and the valet team was especially impressive. Jamal went above and beyond by greeting me right away, was incredibly polite, and made sure my car was handled with care. Everything ran smoothly, and his positive attitude really stood out. Between the great service, the convenient location, and the overall vibe, I’d definitely recommend staying here!

Great location. Clean, friendly staff. Beds are super comfortable. They have a full size gym and a shower steam room in the change room for single person use. Love their long pool for morning sunrise or early evening sunset swims. Spa staff is are super sweet, helpful and took me through the spa tour so I was comfortable with all the amenities. Water, apples, towels are readily available. They need to add slippers. They have a blue room speak easy which is more private and better option than the main lobby bar for intimidate conversations. The door staff and front desk staff were very welcoming, friendly and made me feel special and safe. Highly recommend for your visit and event in Austin.

Above and Beyond Service from Anita at the W Austin I recently had the pleasure of staying at the W Austin, and I must commend the exceptional service provided by Anita. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We had a bit of a tricky situation with our rooms, but Anita handled it with incredible grace and professionalism. Not only was she able to get our room situation sorted out quickly and efficiently, but she also managed to surprise us with a fantastic, upgraded, and newly renovated room. The room was absolutely stunning and made our stay even more special. Anita's warm demeanor, proactive assistance, and genuine care for her guests truly set her apart. She is a true asset to the W Austin team, and her dedication to customer service is second to none. After a great 3 days at the hotel, i can say it’s worth the value. Staff was amazing and the serenade restaurant downstairs and lobby bar was top notch! We didn’t valet a car but this individual Jamall in the front was very personable and had great recommendations.

Super trendy hotel from the front desk to the rooms. Definitely worth the money for location and amenities. Shout out to Jamal at the front. Help us from the vehicle to recommendation. He made this a 5 star experience alone.

Hotel ZaZa Austin Downtown is a stylish property located in the heart of downtown, offering a vibrant rooftop pool and bar, along with two trendy restaurants and a unique spa experience. The hotel's design exudes character, with distinctive suites featuring bright embroidered headboards, peacock-blue shower tiles, and leopard print rugs. The Group Therapy bar boasts mismatched velvet furniture and flourishing pot plants for an eclectic ambiance.
My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic stay here earlier this month. When we arrived, we were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was amazing. The balcony had great views of the pool as well as downtown. We loved the cookies and water/tea in the lobby each afternoon, as well as the snack and ice water left in our room each day. The best part of our stay, apart from the location, was the Magic Carpet Ride service. The valets were all friendly and seemed genuinely happy to take us anywhere we wanted to go within a 3-mile radius of the hotel. They even gave us recommendations on things to do when we had a couple of hours to kill before our flight. We will definitely be staying here the next time we return to Austin!

My now husband and I spent a lot of time deciding where to stay for our wedding weekend, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice!! From the moment we walked in, we knew we’d made the right decision - the staff were incredibly sweet, welcoming, and they actually surprised us with a wonderful upgrade since we were newlyweds - it was so unbelievably kind, it actually brought tears to my eyes! Our room, and the property itself were absolutely stunning - very unique, well taken care of, and spotless. We also loved the food and drinks at Group Therapy, everything we had was delicious. Every single detail of our stay truly impressed us - we will definitely be returning! Thank you Hotel ZaZa for making our celebration even more special!!

This was our favorite hotel in Texas! We loved the ambiance and extras like the water, pillow snacks in the evening and the lobby cookies in the afternoon. The beds were so soft and comfortable. Everything was clean and the location is great. The valet boys are awesome and very hardworking dudes. We won’t stay anywhere else in Austin.

My wife and I love to stay here. We live close by in Georgetown but some nights we like to stay in the city. The ZaZa has great big and comfortable rooms. The valet service is easy and fast, and they have courtesy cars that will take you to local bars and restaurants. The bar/restaurant on the 7th floor, group therapy has a great menu and great cocktails. It’s a great place to stay.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. There is a lovely breakfast and coffee bar on each floor in the mornings too, so you don't have to go far to get exactly what you need in the morning! The valet team had our car to us in minutes every time we needed to go out. The location couldn't be better, you are surrounded by places to eat, drink, hear music.. I highly recommend staying here, and I will definitely be back here when I'm back in town!

We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. After a long and exhausting journey of about an hour and a half, we arrived only to discover that the hotel’s website was extremely confusing. By mistake, we had booked in Houston instead of Austin. At first, the front desk receptionist was very kind and assured us there was no problem, and that they would change the booking for us to something equivalent. However, when the front desk manager, Casey, arrived, he demanded a significant extra payment. Not only was he unfriendly, but his entire attitude was unpleasant and unwelcoming. The next morning, after waking up a bit late, we simply asked for a small extension, an extra hour or so before checking out. Again, Casey insisted we would need to pay more. What made this even more unreasonable was that the hotel was far from full occupancy; the place was nearly empty, so there was absolutely no issue in allowing a late checkout without charge. It felt like every request came with an additional demand for payment, with no real sense of hospitality. Overall, the service and treatment we received from Casey, the front desk manager, were unacceptable, unfriendly, unhelpful, and far from the level of customer service one would expect. Unfortunately, the value did not justify the price, and we left feeling very disappointed.

We recently stayed a few nights at Hotel ZaZa, and one of the true highlights was the incredible service we received from Remy at Group Therapy. From the moment we walked in, Remy made us feel like VIPs... warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Also those cookies in the lobby are AMAZING. Whether it was remembering our drink preferences, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, or just bringing great energy to the pool area, Remy went above and beyond. It’s rare to find someone who makes hospitality feel so personal and effortless. Would come back 10/10
AJ E — Google review
Great location for this hotel and the rooms and amenities are very nice. Lots of little touches like a coffee bar in the elevator lobby and cookies and candy when you walk into the lobby. The only complaint I have is that the televisions are ancient in this day and age in a premium hotel you expect a smart TV that you can run apps on. Their system is antiquated and frustrating. I’d give them five stars if they get some new TVs.

Nestled in the picturesque Texas Hill Country, Lake Austin Spa Resort is a luxurious all-inclusive retreat that feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Austin. Set against the stunning backdrop of rugged wilderness along the serene Colorado River, this upscale destination offers guests an array of amenities including two inviting pools and exquisite dining options featuring healthy, locally-sourced cuisine.
What an incredible experience. Our only mistake was only staying 2 nights. The entire staff, both at the resort and the spa, were incredible. The scenery of the lake is beautiful. This place is very private, so it’s not covered up with people. The pools always have plenty of room. You can do any lake activities that you want throughout the day. We absolutely loved the electric paddle boards. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The butcher’s cut each night was phenomenal. Great room service, great breakfast. They will bring you anything you need throughout the day. But again, what makes this place special is the people. Lisa on the overnight staff was amazing. Maria on the waitstaff was so sweet and went the extra mile. Micayla on the waitstaff was also so sweet and accommodating. Paula at the dock was incredible - so knowledgeable of the area and so much fun to be around (make sure you sign up for the scenic boat cruise). Jackie in the garden - wow!! So knowledgeable and patient and walked us through every plant. Delivered a potted mint plant to our room to take home as well. So, so fun. I forgot her name but the lady that checked us in the first day was also so incredibly nice. The list goes on. Every single person here made this trip memorable for us. We loved the cottage with the private hot tub as well. Felt so secluded and yet right in the middle of the resort. Absolutely a 10/10 experience for our 10-year anniversary. We will be back next year, hopefully for at least 3 nights!

What an incredible few nights we had at the Lake Austin Spa Resort. We can’t thank Cindy enough for making this happen. It was nothing short of amazing, from the staff to the atmosphere, to the food and amenities, the whole experience was beyond incredible. Paula and her team were great at the dock, giving us surf time behind their new Centurion Ri230, and a wonderful informational boat cruise up the river. The new paddle boards and pedal kayaks were perfect to explore the amazing river scenery around the resort (and perfect to get into those tight little fishing holes). The food was in a league of its own. With mouthwatering flavors and flawless service, the chef and his team had every bite tasting better than the last. Thank you to everyone who made this stay beyond incredible. We will be back.

We visited Lake Austin Spa while in town, and it was the best part of our trip! I had a prenatal massage and a vitamin C facial, and both were incredible — relaxing, personalized, and left me glowing. The facilities are absolutely beautiful, from the waiting lounge to the pool and multiple quiet spaces to unwind. Lunch was delicious, and every staff member we met was friendly and welcoming. Even though we’re from out of town, this spa is 100% worth visiting. If you’re in Austin, make time for a day here — it’s a must!

Lake Austin Spa Resort is by far one of my favorite spas in the world. The resort somehow makes you feel at home no matter where you go on the campus. Everytime I have visited I have made new friends and wanted to hang out with the staff. The water front is both picturesk but also a great place to be active. There are so many fantastic places through out for reading, relaxing, catching your breath, etc. The activities and classes availalbe keep you engaged the entire time and you feel welcome no matter what the activity is or whether you are an expert or a first timer. On my last trip there I took a kayak trip, hiked, relaxed at the pool, learned mahjong, bird watched, went to yoga, made collages and spent a day at the spa. The rooms are beautiful and clean to the point that I hung on in my room for 1/2 a day. The food was spectacular with so many choices and options. Lastly, the absolute best part of Lake Austin Spa Resort is the staff. They make you feel included and like friends. You never feel like you are bothering them, everyone takes the time to talk to you and say hi. They make sure you find you things to do. Leaving them was the hardest part. I will be back again very soon, this is a must do at least once a year.

I love Lake Austin Spa Resort! The setting is so peaceful and beautiful — it really feels like the perfect place to reset, relax and recharge. The food is incredible, and the wellness classes are such a great way to move and connect with yourself. The treatments are some of the best I’ve ever had, and every little detail makes you feel cared for. It’s truly one of my favorite places to recharge! Thank you for having me, LASR, I always leave feeling lighter, happier, and so refreshed.

BEST Girl’s Getaway Spa and Resort! We took advantage of EVERYTHING this all-inclusive lakeside wellness retreat had to offer! We left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated! We absolutely fell in love with this resort! There are so many activities to choose from (about 25 activities each day)! We did Wind Down and Wine Cruise, Kayaking, Learning to play Mahjong, Restorative Sleep Seminar, Japanese Sword Fighting. Yoga, Aqua Stretch, Cocktail Tasting Class, Hydrobikes, and the SPA! The meals were amazing!!!! Healthy, locally sourced ingredients that the Chef combined to make the most delicious, gourmet meals. Our favorites were: Avocado Toast, Grilled Chicken & Avocado Salad Sandwich, Autumn Grain Bowl, Taco Bowl, Texas Lil Gem Salad, and Pasta Specials! The staff is the most welcoming, considerate staff and wellness experts that want you to have the most wonderful experience and truly embrace relaxing, refreshing and recharging. They encourage you to wear your robes to meals and around the resort- Unwind and reconnect with yourself and catch up with friends! And we did! Big shout outs to: Bianca, Alex, Hunter, Monica, Jennifer, Carrie and Executive Chef James Limon. The resort is just beautiful!!! Serene lake views and charming, rustic bungalows and cottages, so many different places to relax and then our favorite: the Spa! SOOOOO RELAXING! Facials, Scrubs and Wraps were our favorites! I highly recommend this resort and spa! And we will be back!

We only utilized the spa (didn't stay at the resort). The property itself is beautiful- but if you're coming for the spa, prepare to be underwhelmed. The spa is VERY dated and underwhelming. There's no access to any cold features. The hot tub is set to around 98 degrees (should be 102 to 104 degrees) the sauna might as well not be turned on at all because it's so cool, the steam room is incredibly LOUD and doesn't get super hot either. The spa tenant (Cale) didn't even walk us into the locker room to show us the features, the lockers were broken, it was really just not worth the money we paid. However, the bright light is that our massage therapists were tremendous. Sophia did an amazing job and elevated this place from a one star to a two star rating,
Steve H — Google review
The pricing does not align with quality of service. They did not have proper beds/reclining beds for a prenatal massage. They had a massive pregnancy pillow that didn’t fit me so the only option was to be lying on my side which was uncomfortable which also resulted in us starting late. Ameninties are outdated. Paying almost $700 for a massage and facial is an absolute rip off for the services provided. Front desk was not concerned about my experience. This review was from my experience in July 2025.

Austin Proper Hotel is a sophisticated and stylish accommodation option in the heart of Austin. The hotel boasts a refined Mediterranean restaurant, a chic cocktail bar, and an inviting outdoor pool. Renowned designer Kelly Wearstler has infused the property with a blend of California cool, Texas charm, and Manhattan swank.
Austin Proper is one of my absolute favorite hotels in Austin I've had been staying there multiple times, and each visit has been nothing short of fantastic. The rooms at Austin Proper are modern, impeccably clean, and well-stocked with everything you could possibly need. The staff is incredibly helpful and always go above and beyond to ensure guests have a comfortable stay. The location of the hotel is also superb, making it very convenient for exploring the city. As a boutique hotel, Austin Proper offers a unique and charming atmosphere that sets it apart from larger chain hotels. The gym is top-notch, providing a great space to keep up with your fitness routine while traveling. Plus, the hotel boasts excellent restaurants that serve delicious meals. I highly recommend staying at Austin Proper if you find yourself in Austin. It's a remarkable place that truly enhances the travel experience.

This was our second visit to the restaurant, and it was just as perfect as the first. We shared a couple of dishes today, and everything was excellent—but what really stood out was the service from our waiter, Chris. From the moment he approached our table, Chris was warm, friendly, and genuinely thoughtful. He handled all of our requests with ease and had a perfect sense of timing—always attentive without being intrusive. I also want to highlight the positive energy from Manager Kaylee. I let her know directly how much we’ve enjoyed our visits, and it’s clear that her management style has a positive impact on both the staff and the overall guest experience. The welcoming atmosphere here truly reflects great leadership.

Overall Nice hotel but beware of fees Positive + Nicely designed hotel and rooms. + Staff very friendly and helpful + Well maintained and cleaned + Breakfast tasted good Negative - The restaurant added a 4% "Wellness fee" to all bills. Asking at the reception I was told this was to help the community. Researching only it seems it is meant to pay for employees' health benefits. Really poor style to add such costs as extras, instead of having them included in the base price of the dishes. This is also on top of the daily "Resort fee" being added to room cost. - My in-room speaker didn't work (cable didn't provide power). I mentioned it twice during my three day stay but it was never fixed. - While my room was cleaned well daily, stuff I had rearranged (lamps, hotel ads, etc.) were always moved back. I don't want to always have to look at ads for the spa while washing my hands. - I couldn't see any environmental work being done

The hotel is stylish and the valet/pool staff were great, but as a Marriott Platinum Elite member I was very disappointed. None of the usual benefits (late checkout, breakfast, welcome gift) were honored since this is a Design Hotels property. On top of that, they charge a daily “destination fee” that covers virtually nothing. Beautiful space, but it left me feeling nickel-and-dimed — elites should know their perks don’t apply here.
Vivian H — Google review
I want to begin by saying how much I admire the property. It truly is one of the most beautiful and elevated spaces in Austin, which is why I’ve chosen to frequent it often and recommend it to guests from out of town. However, I feel compelled to share my disappointment with the inconsistency I’ve experienced during visits, most recently last night. I had called ahead to confirm seating availability at La Piscina for my mother, who was visiting from New York and loves dining there. I was told there were three seats available first come first serve (not a problem) hopped in the car and headed that way ( keep in mind I don’t live that far). When we arrived, however, she was told at valet that the hotel was at capacity and we would not be allowed in. This was confusing and frustrating—especially after being assured over the phone that seats were available at the bar. What troubles me most is that this isn’t an isolated incident. Despite the number of times I’ve visited and brought guests from around the country, I’ve found the communication and overall guest experience to be consistently inconsistent. For a property of this caliber, one that positions itself as an elevated alternative in a city with limited options this level of unpredictability is disheartening. I hope you’ll take this as constructive feedback. Experiences like this make me hesitant to continue recommending or frequenting the property, which is disappointing given how much I value what you’ve built. I’d love to see greater consistency in communication and guest accessibility moving forward so that the experience matches the beauty and potential of the hotel itself.
Morganleigh B — Google review
We spent more time than usual at the hotel because it was so enjoyable. Bar was always looking so fun and on the last night I had a delicious light bite and martini just right. La Piscina is excellent and breakfast very good at Peacock. Rooms are comfortable with great shades and Aesop product. Also incredible shower and super decor. Coffee in Goldie’s also great perk. Can’t wait to come back!

Favorite hotel in Austin. Interior design is sleek and makes this place. Beds/rooms are great, pool is fantastic to hang out in and the Mexican restaurant poolside has phenomenal fajitas. Even the elevators with the hanging animal hide are spot on. The gym bathrooms have a great steam room to start the day as well. Don’t hesitate to book this place.
Sean F — Google review
I may be jinxed but the marriott online reservation process always requires a phone call - yes, wasting 21 minutes on the phone. I manage the IT for a firm so the marriott reservation struggle is a mystery to me. I tried to reserve a room using the AAA rate. The reservation would not go through, hence the dreaded call. Despite my Bonvoy status, I am going to give Marriott a pass in the future. BTW - Austin hotel tax is one of the highest in the country at 17%. Expect to get dinged with fees.

Miraval Austin Resort and Spa is an upscale all-inclusive retreat nestled in the scenic Texas Hill Country, offering a full-service spa, two infinity pools, and luxurious dining options. Set on 220 acres of protected land overlooking Lake Travis, this premier wellness destination provides a variety of accommodations including guest rooms, suites, and private villas designed for comfort and tranquility. Guests can immerse themselves in holistic wellness programs featuring activities like yoga, meditation, equine therapy, and outdoor adventures.
Had the most amazing trip with a girlfriend. The rooms were clean, serene, relaxing and the beds were the best I have ever slept in. The activities were plentiful and enjoyable with a good variety of options. The spa, pools and grounds were great! The food was fabulous. I can be picky and critical with food and I enjoyed every meal I had here. It was the perfect place to connect and relax and I cannot wait to return. I loved Austin Miraval so much I went to Miraval Berkshires a few weeks after and it could not compare to the Austin location.
Stephanie P — Google review
Grateful for the time to rest and the experiences at Miraval however did not feel it was worth the price for a few reasons. First, while it was all inclusive the food was gross. Everything was bland and tasted microwaveable. Even breakfast was bad which was shocking. The instructors, classes offered and spa were incredible but I felt I wasted my money on a private session that was not very good. The service was not great as they forgot the birthday cake twice for a special occasion at dinner. The carpet was worn in the hallways to the room and the hallway itself smelled old and musty. One of the experience planners was very stressed and overwhelmed by guests and yelled at my friend for standing behind the desk. When we arrived the internet was down so they could not let us in our rooms. They wanted everyone to write their credit card numbers down on a piece of paper which did not seem safe. The hot tub at the arrival center also was cold the entire trip.

Came here solo for a spa day. The main pool is really nice. The one next to the spa has a good view, but the landscaping around it is lacking. The programming offered a lot of variety, but definitely on the beginner side, whether it be for yoga, meditation or otherwise. Excellent staff and large grounds so you have room to roam without bumping into other people too much. I found the spa services to be high-quality knowledgeable practitioners, and tranquil relaxation room before and after treatments. I do think the women’s locker room needs some upgrading. It felt quite small and the bathrooms were similar to what you would find and some sort of YMCA - the kind of stalls that have slits in them where you can see through not individual and private enough overall, just the aesthetic in the locker room area of the spa wasn’t up to par. This did remind me of somewhere that you would go for a work retreat, just given the scale and the activities but overall it was a good experience just not necessarily somewhere. I’m gonna be going back to.

I have not had the opportunity to stay here just yet, but I have been to the property a few times, and every time I literally get chills because of how beautiful it is, and how nice everyone you encounter is. I also love how it’s digital-free, and you can really be present in the moment. They do have day passes, so I highly recommend you check them out! Nice, beautiful place with soulful intentions. 🥰

This property is phenomenal—a true retreat for adults! The classes were outstanding, and the food was exceptional. The rooms are slightly outdated but still comfortable, with excellent air conditioning and divine bedding. Shinny at the front desk was incredibly welcoming, and Lori, the facilitator, was phenomenal. I highly recommend taking all of her classes! It was hard to take other photos as I had my phone off!

My two adult daughters and I spent a remarkable and life-affirming three days at Miraval Austin. The entire experience was amazing and everyone was warm and welcoming. Particularly, we want to point out three people who went way above and beyond the call of duty. Denise (don’t know her last name) was available to help with Creating, Understanding, Updating, and changing activities. Christen (Don’t know her last name)in the front office went way beyond check-in duties, guiding us throughout the weekend. Laurie Burdicka gave advice that was life changing. We liked her grief counseling class so much that we scheduled private sessions for all of us. We will return!

We arrived around 12pm to check in and were told the suite we requested (non-ADA with a bathtub) was being prepared - multiple staff even confirmed it had a bathtub. At 3pm we still didn’t have a room, despite the guaranteed check-in time. At 3:30, someone brought keys and said the only option was an ADA suite with no bathtub, or a “3rd floor king.” We agreed to the king, but it wasn’t ready until 4:30, and it turned out to be ground floor, not 3rd. If the request couldn’t be met, it should have been communicated upfront instead of sending us in circles for hours. On top of that, despite Globalist status, there was no flexibility for late checkout. The property itself is nice and we really enjoyed the spa, but the disorganization and poor communication undermined the overall experience.

This is truly a great hotel! Hands down one of the best I've stayed in. Great view with very nice rooms. Love the interior design, it's very sleek and modern. The TV in the room has Netflix and it's a decent size. Bed and sheets were comfortable. The pressure shower in the bathroom was really smooth on the skin! Customer service is exceptional. The staff is quite friendly and want to make sure you have a good experience. There is 2 restaurants inside the hotel. We enjoyed the fries and nachos from the bar area in the Corner restaurant. The in room dining options have fresh pressed juice for breakfast, we tried it and it was amazing. Good location. They have valet parking and self parking as well. We enjoyed it so much we want to return in the near future!

Stayed here over the weekend for a wedding and we found the hotel to be very lively, friendly and great location. In the morning we walk across the street to the park where there's a coffee truck that serves some of the best latte and coffee. Get yourself a croissant too and it makes your morning nice and bright. We didn't have dinner inside because it's so close to everything. First night we talked to Terry Black BBQ, it took us 15 minutes walking pass the river. We had a great time there. We also walk to the downtown library on the next day. We did have lunch at the Corner restaurant which belongs to the hotel and it was very nice. Overall the hotel gives a very good vibe and the main thing is very convenient.

Gorgeous hotel. The hotel provides exceptional service from the moment you arrive as a guest. They were kind and on their A Game on a weekday evening, so I wonder what their weekend staff is like! Try the restaurants on site and if you stay, I suggest checking out their beautiful pool area. Comfortable bed and great room service. The attentive staff really sold me on the place.

Room service runner Doug was professional, friendly and very attentive when I made a mistake with my order. Was great dealing with him! Room was fine and overall the food was good. The burger we ordered was very tasty, the Caesar salad was just average, nothing special as it was just romaine, croutons, sprinkle parm and a packet of Ken’s Caesar dressing. The guacamole would have been good if it wasn’t so unbelievably spicy!

5-STAR HOTEL! Not only are the rooms and amenities absolutely amazing - robe included with room, comfy floor mat in the bathroom, and the best shower head I've used in my life - but the hospitality at this JW is unmatched. The first night I arrived I had the trauma of leaving my phone in an Uber. My driver did not speak english, and was trying to take advantage of the situation. ROBERTO quickly stepped up, communicated with the driver for me, and managed to get my phone safely back to the hotel. He went above and beyond for me!! This guy needs a raise. In my room, the housekeeping was so nice where they even organized all of my toiletries so nicely on the vanity. What a treat! If you stay anywhere in Austin, the JW Marriott will not disappoint!

I had such a great experience at the JW Marriott Austin! The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and in a perfect location, but what really stood out was the staff. Jason G., the bellhop, went above and beyond to help with our luggage. He was so friendly, efficient, and made the process effortless, which really set the tone for a stress-free stay. Excellent service like his makes all the difference. I’ll definitely be staying here again the next time I’m in Austin!

Of my Marriott experiences to date, this was the best. Rooms were nicely done, modern and clean, and no real damage to note. The hotel itself is very nice and well marked in terms of getting around. The pool area is great, especially for a few hours break. The only criticism I would have about the hotel is that for our conference it was incredibly difficult to find bottled water - instead we were always offered soft drinks or coffee, which after a couple of days inside, isn’t what you want.

Hotel Van Zandt is a trendy and upscale accommodation located in the vibrant Rainey Street district of Austin. The hotel offers stylish rooms and luxurious suites, as well as chic dining options, a laid-back cafe, and a lively rooftop pool with a bar. The lobby is particularly impressive with unique light fixtures made from trombone bells. We recently returned to Hotel Van Zandt for a special weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday. Having stayed here before and created wonderful memories, it felt like the perfect place to revisit — and it did not disappoint. We took advantage of the Summer Splash special, which included credits for the Pool Bar and Brass Poppy. At check-in, the staff warmly explained how the credits worked, and we immediately felt like VIPs. Their attention to detail and hospitality set the tone for the rest of our stay. Our accessible room was thoughtfully designed, especially the roll-in shower, which was ideal for my wife’s needs. It made a big difference in her comfort and enjoyment throughout the weekend. Everywhere we went — from the Pool Bar to Brass Poppy — the food was delicious, and the service was even better. The bartenders were genuinely friendly, always taking a moment to wish my wife a happy birthday and helping her feel truly celebrated. Check-out was seamless, and I really appreciated that all our credits had already been applied — no need to follow up or ask. That kind of smooth experience just reinforces how well this hotel takes care of its guests. All in all, this stay exceeded our expectations and made for a beautiful birthday celebration. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a fantastic weekend at the Hotel Van Zandt. The rooms were clean and spacious. The outdoor pool was lovely. We borrowed bikes from the hotel for a ride around Lake Lady Bird. The service was absolutely amazing, from the front desk staff to housekeeping to the guys at the front door, especially Peter. Also love the location and interior design. Would definitely stay here again!

I had an incredible stay at Hotel Van Zandt! From the moment I pulled up, the valet team set the tone—they were quick, professional, and genuinely welcoming, which made arriving and leaving completely stress-free. The entire experience was top-notch: the lobby and common areas have a stylish, upscale vibe, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the atmosphere captured the perfect Austin energy—modern, lively, but still relaxed. Staff throughout the hotel were attentive without being overbearing, and everything felt seamless, from check-in to checkout. Whether it was enjoying the amenities, relaxing in the room, or just taking in the overall vibe, Hotel Van Zandt really delivered on every front. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Austin who wants a first-class experience with a local touch! And Meghan is very tasty.

Spent a couple of nights on a short business trip to Austion. The room was spacious and well equipped. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel lobby is nicely decorated as is the main bar. I grabbed breakfast at the 605 Cafe in the hotel and the potato, egg, and cheese taco was delicious. I also had dinner at Giraldi's and the Halibut dish was outstanding.

I’ve stayed at Hotel Van Zandt before and always enjoyed the experience, especially at the pool. Forrest, who helps with umbrellas, is always friendly and welcoming, and the bartenders at the pool level have always been great. Unfortunately, my visit today was disappointing and very different from what I’ve come to expect. When I arrived, I noticed that servers were not coming by the pool chairs to take orders. I asked a staff waiting near the bar Olivia; if anyone would be walking around to serve drinks and or take orders and she replied bluntly, “We’ve never done that,” and added that it wasn’t her job to serve anyone who wasn’t in a cabana. This was surprising to me, as in the past there’s always been staff checking on guests by the pool chairs. What bothered me more was her tone—it felt dismissive and unprofessional. Later, I noticed her walking around the pool once more people arrived, taking orders from other guests who were not in cabanas, yet skipping over me and another guest. We are both women of color, and it felt very deliberate that she excluded us. Even after I mentioned it to another staff member, she continued this behavior, which made me feel unwelcome and singled out. To be clear, the front desk staff, Forrest, and most of the team are always superb—that’s why I’ve come back multiple times. But this particular encounter left me with a very bad impression. A place I used to recommend to others now feels different, and I’m not sure I’d return because of how uncomfortable and excluded I felt.

While the location and staff were excellent, the venue itself could use a little TLC beyond the lobby. The hallways are quite dark likely to draw attention away from the more worn areas and the rooms feel a bit work (knicked and word). That said, everything was clean, and the service was great. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, but I’m not sure I’d choose to stay here again. PS: the music on the side of the hotel facing Homewood Suites was pretty intense and went on until around 2 a.m. If you’re a light sleeper or that kind of noise isn’t for you, this might not be the best property for you.

Loved the place, staff was spectacular!! Coffee was strong, pool was perfect. Room was nice with great shower. Except one thing , the framed music sheet above the toilet in room 1114 was placed upside down. It was a composition of paradise. It still bothers me. Ofcourse Ill never be able let it go. Ill have to go back to check on it.

From start to finish, the staff at Hotel Van Zandt made our experience feel very personal. Each staff member was friendly, helpful and available to us at every turn. We loved the entire property...from the vast and warm lobby space to our spacious suite, from the pool to the restaurants and bars...it was not just a place to sleep while we explored Austin but a place we wanted to make time for! The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Austin, Hilton Austin offers a polished retreat that perfectly blends comfort with style. Just steps away from the vibrant nightlife of Sixth Street, this hotel is an ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers. Guests can indulge in eclectic dining options, including the lively Austin Taco Project, or unwind at the luxurious Skyline Spa after a day of exploring.
Awesome hotel. Great location. The pool area is amazing 😍. For my birthday they gave me a gift bag filled with goodies and a handwritten birthday note. A very nice and classy personal touch. Gigi at the front desk is very sweet and everyone else was very nice and helpful as well. Highly recommend this hotel. Drew the pool bartender was great 😃. He makes delicious cocktails.

This place is super nice. The rooms have a great view of Austin and they are cozy and spacious. Also this hotel has personal trainers here which is super cool! The pool area is nice and relaxing too. The only thing I wish is I wish that the lobby wasn’t super noisy.

The Hilton has potential- a new convention center is already under construction next door -but it will require thinking beyond traditional Austin and looking toward the future. While I appreciated the upgrade to a room with a view, I was disappointed to see wallpaper peeling off the walls in the corridors. Bathrooms are also small and the constrained tub/ shower combination is more reminiscent of a Hampton Inn than a destination hotel. The highlight of my stay was the excellent service I received in the expansive, modern Starbucks downstairs. Even as a loyal diamond member, it will be hard to not book newer competing properties that offer a more upscale experience in the future.

The city view from a high floor was amazing. The staff personnel were nice and knowledgeable about options in the area and its great walking distance from downtown. The rooms were good but did not have mini refrigerators in them which made it hard to bring food back from a night out. Overall I would recommend the hotel.

I’m kinda grossed out by the rooms. I stayed first night on the 16th of Nov and I saw a dirty blanket. It looked like someone had put their dirty suitcase on the bed. It brushed off eventually after brushing it with my hand a bit but was kinda grossed out cause it made me feel like it was a used blanket. I didn’t notice it until the morning after. I let it go, flew to LA and back for work and got a new room. Was exhausted and went right to bed. Woke up and saw the same thing again the next morning. I understand it was leading up to formula 1 weekend and service would be slow. Waiting really long for service is an acceptable inconvenience for the busy influx of people. Reusing bedding to save time is NOT. Everything else seemed standard but just feels gross.

This is the customer service every hotel should strive for. The valet drivers are very kind and welcoming, the staff behind the front desk are as well. Special thanks to Gift and Elvia at the Austin Taco Project breakfast location within the hotel, they both showed compassion and care for their jobs, and I couldn’t feel more welcomed to enjoy a breakfast buffet.

There is room for improvement in their housekeeping practices. I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom. The robes that were provided smelled as if they were previously worn. When I set them out to be replaced, housekeeping took the robes, but never replaced them. The bathroom counters had a stale smell and felt generally unsanitary. Our mattress cover was full of holes on the left side of the bed. I'm going to assume this was an isolated incident, however still unacceptable for such a highly rated hotel. I hope they do better on our next visit.
UENDURE C — Google review
Our room had brown duct tape holding the carpet down where it meets the tile, outlets didn't work in bathroom, constantly waiting for elevators. Both restaurants were not good. Pool/Bar was the best part of this hotel. It is not family friendly. The worst part though is being charged for 3 nights of valet and trying to get my money back. I DO NOT recommend.

Situated on the picturesque shores of Lady Bird Lake, Hyatt Regency Austin offers modern accommodations with some rooms boasting stunning lake views. The hotel's prime location provides easy access to popular attractions such as 6th Street, the Austin Convention Center, and South Congress for entertainment and dining. Guests can also enjoy the famous bat show near Congress Ave Bridge during summer evenings. Families will appreciate the spacious rooms and suites that overlook either the city skyline or the tranquil lake.
This hotel was recently renovated and is very modern and beautiful inside! What I particularly love is that the rooms are well lit! Very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It’s also a great location within walking distance to Congress Street and all of the restaurants and shopping available there will definitely be returning. The daily parking rate is a bit expensive at $62 a night. That is the one thing I wish they would change and it would be perfect.

Fantastic location, darling views, great pool, & a truly tasty authentic Tex-Mex breakfast. I visited for the weekend and loved waking up to the river view each morning. I really enjoyed the open concept atrium design. The pool was just the right temperature for a hot summer day. The staff was excellent & friendly. Absolutely loved my stay. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay at the Hyatt Regency Austin while visiting for the ACL Festival! It’s the closest hotel to the festival which makes transportation super easy and the walk to the festival was only 20 minutes! A huge shoutout to Eli, the Guest Service Manager, for going above and beyond to make our experience smooth and enjoyable. We had some issues with our four-day booking, and he handled everything quickly, professionally, and with such a friendly attitude. His customer service was truly exceptional — he turned a stressful situation into an amazing stay. Thanks to Eli and the entire Hyatt team for making our trip one to remember!
Kriisteniirene — Google review
The hotel has recently been renovated, and the property looks great. It still feels somewhat bare and without much identity, likely because finishing touches are still in progress (I hope). I was initially concerned about construction noise, but fortunately there was none during my stay. The main issue I had was communication. The phone system to reach the front desk from the room or from a mobile phone barely works. When my laundry wasn’t delivered, my first call disconnected, the second kept me waiting 20 minutes before cutting off, and every call after that went to a busy tone. No one ever called back, and I had to go downstairs myself. The automated phone chatbot only adds to the frustration. Smaller service details also fell short. There was no drinking water in the room when I arrived late at night, and I had to request it. I also found a hair in the bathtub on arrival. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet is good, with a solid variety of options, though it would benefit from offering espresso drinks instead of only basic coffee and tea.

This hotel is not only beautiful but the staff was amazing and thoughtful. Right from the start Pablo and Brooke at the front desk provided a great welcome to Austin after a long day of traveling. Our hotel room view was spectacular and everything felt so nice and clean. I was running out of toothpaste and the housekeeping staff noticed and got me a new one without even asking. I never had that happen before at a hotel. The Juniper Market right off the lobby was also lifesaving since I forgot my charger and phone had died. We wished we had more time in Austin to explore the surrounding area and hotel amenities they had to offer. We loved our stay at the Hyatt and cannot wait to come back to this hotel and Austin! Thank you!

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Austin while attending my Atlas Leadership Training, and I could not have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our group felt welcome and taken care of. Every team member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our stay comfortable. The accommodations were clean, spacious, and ideal for both rest and productivity between sessions. Our training seminars ran seamlessly thanks to the attentive event staff, who made sure every detail — from room setup to refreshments — was handled promptly and professionally. The combination of excellent service, a beautiful property, and a perfect location made this a truly memorable experience. I’m grateful to the entire Hyatt Regency Austin team for making our leadership training feel both productive and special. Highly recommended!

Great hotel if you like spending way too much money on hotels and getting a terrible night sleep. Like seriously - the mini fridge has a multi colored back light that turns on after 3 hours even if you turn it off? A backlight on the bed that never turns off? A smoke alarm with a bright flashing light? What idiot designed these rooms? Absolutely ridiculous. Would avoid at all costs unless you bring an eye mask. Also don’t get me started on the fees! Just say the room costs more… and $60 a night for inconvenient self parking? You’re kidding. What a waste of money and time.

Brooke at reception was courteous and kind when helping me deal with a last minute booking issue. She put me at ease and helped turn a bad day of travel into a great hotel experience. I enjoyed my stay with a clean room and solid location. There was some construction occurring outside the hotel which the staff provided notice of.

Nestled in the vibrant North Austin area, the Renaissance Austin Hotel offers a perfect blend of modern luxury and local charm. Guests can enjoy well-appointed rooms adorned with artwork from talented local artists, featuring plush pillowtop beds and sleek bathrooms. The hotel boasts both indoor and outdoor pools for relaxation, along with a trendy lounge and dining options. One highlight is the rooftop restaurant, Knotty Deck & Bar, where visitors can indulge in delicious Texas-inspired American cuisine while soaking up stunning views from the outdoor patio.
What an incredible stay at this Renaissance for our first trip to Austin! We chose this hotel after speaking with Beyza over the phone weeks before our arrival as she was exceptionally professional, warm, and kind. Her outstanding service truly set the tone for our visit. We absolutely fell in love with the hotel! The lobby was beautiful and we couldn’t resist taking lots of photos around the hotel. Our room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and I especially loved the signature scent throughout the hotel. I also appreciated the recognition of my elite status especially with access to the R-Club. The location is perfect with so many great restaurants nearby and easy access to the Domain. We’re already looking forward to our next stay and highly recommend this Renaissance to anyone planning a trip to Austin. Thank you for the world-class hospitality!

Came here via Resort Pass for the day. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff were great. Would sure have appreciated some form of warning that there was heavy construction going on right next to the pool area with extremely disruptive noise, that the outdoor bar was closed, and that the outdoor hot tub was not working... It was pretty disappointing when those were the three exact reasons we had bought the day passes. We will be back when this place is fully operational. I imagine it's great then!

The room was absolutely amazing. I loved the decor and furnishings. The bed was wonderful and comfortable the pillows where amazing. The food and drinks where fabulous I loved the Korean style tacos so delicious. I loved that we could walk to some shops and restaurants. It was a peaceful experience. This was a great stopover for our group of 5! The pool was great and room was perfect for a family of 5 (thanks separate room and pullout couch!). The BEST part was the bartender at the restaurant named Kelly. I haven’t run into such a kind patient human being in a while. She was so nice and sweet to us and our 3 kids and gave us lots of special attention. I encourage locals to go spend time with her. She will definitely make your day a little better. Give her a raise!

The hotel itself is nice. Rooms are very spacious. The swimming pool and the gym are on the small side but still decent. There's an indoors pool too... There are some shops walking distance from the hotel. The staff seem all very nice and helpful too. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

This was our first time staying at the Renaissance Hotel in Austin, and we were genuinely and pleasantly surprised. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed into a beautifully designed space that reflects Texas charm and hospitality. Even the shuttle carried that local flair—with its decorative Texas-style horn setting the tone right before stepping into the elegant lobby. The hotel itself is quiet, calming, and tastefully themed with subtle touches of Texas throughout. We stayed in one of their corner VIP Signature rooms, and it truly felt like a stylish mini apartment—surrounded by windows, furnished with beautiful decor, and equipped with comfortable seating that made our stay exceptionally cozy. The location is also a huge plus. It’s just a short drive (around 20 minutes) to downtown Austin and conveniently close to restaurants, shopping areas, and more. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, it’s in a perfect spot. Overall, we had a very pleasant and memorable experience. If you’re looking for comfort, style, and a touch of Texas warmth, the Renaissance Hotel in Austin is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

**BEWARE. This hotel charges a $23 per day parking fee. This would be common in central Austin, but highly unusual for the suburbs where this property is located, so guests may not expect it. We have stayed at several different hotels near the Arboretum and none of them charge a fee. Just want to give everyone a heads up before you book. If it wasn’t for this oddity, I would give it a higher rating. Good service, nice facility inside and out with restaurants, Texas chic, and backed up against a large, wooded natural area.

Nice hotel! Everyone who works here is very lovely and accommodating! Love that they offer free parking and the wine bottle in the room is a nice touch. We’re city people so we don’t have high expectations for hotel food, but we thought it was delicious! Extra points for being dog friendly and accommodating! We did find some hairs in the bathroom on the floor and shower, which is kind of gross but the room was very clean. We didn’t fuss about it because, things happen, and the rest of the trip was a great experience. We will definitely stay there again!

Awesome hotel for a staycation in Westlake! The views are fantastic. Very quiet. The pool is nice. You can order drinks and food at the bar (hamburger was amazing). My only issue is that the lighting in the rooms and bathroom is too dim. Oh, and I wasn't impressed by the breakfast. Luckily, there are plenty of spots close by (e.g., The Well and The Grove).

Wonderful Stay at Hotel Viata – Excellent Location and Outstanding Service! I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Viata in Austin, TX. The hotel is beautifully designed, offering a peaceful and elegant atmosphere while still being close to everything you might want to see and do in the city. The amenities are excellent — from the comfortable rooms to the relaxing outdoor spaces and top-notch dining options. What truly made my stay exceptional was the hotel’s driver, Chandler. He is an absolute gem — professional, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Chandler provided airport pick-up and drop-off, took me around town, and even drove me to another hotel for a conference. His service is prompt, reliable, and very reasonably priced — a much better experience than using rideshare apps. He drives a spotless car, and his warm, friendly personality makes every ride a pleasure. Hotel Viata is already a wonderful place to stay, but Chandler’s service truly elevated the experience. Highly recommend both the hotel and his transportation services!

I can’t say enough good things about my recent stay at Viata Hotel in Austin — it was genuinely one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and a huge part of that was thanks to Chris, who went above and beyond in every way. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere at Viata felt welcoming, modern, and thoughtfully curated. The design is sleek yet comfortable, the amenities are top-tier, and every detail — from the room cleanliness to the in-room tech — is clearly designed with care. But what truly set this stay apart was the outstanding service, especially from Chris. Chris is not just a hotel representative — he’s the kind of person who makes you feel like you’re being welcomed into someone’s home. Warm, professional, and incredibly caring, Chris took the time to ensure that everything about my stay was perfect. Whether it was giving thoughtful local recommendations, checking in to make sure I had everything I needed, or just offering a friendly smile after a long day out, his hospitality made a real impact. It’s rare to come across someone who combines genuine kindness with such a strong sense of professionalism. Chris is a true asset to Viata and honestly one of the best hospitality professionals I’ve encountered. If every hotel had a “Chris,” travel would be a lot more enjoyable for everyone! If you’re staying in Austin and want a hotel that blends comfort, style, and outstanding service, don’t think twice — book your stay at Viata Hotel. And if you’re lucky enough to be helped by Chris, know you’re in the best hands possible.

Had a staycation at this lovely hotel. Excellent views, quiet, greeted with a bottle of wine 😌 Had THE MOST INCREDIBLE massage by Titi!!! Very deep massage that left me feeling so incredibly relaxed and calm afterwards. I really needed it and next time I book a massage, I will always ask for Titi! The food here is very reasonably priced as well and there was plenty of room at the pool. 10/10 recommended!

Unfortunately, our stay didn't meet expectations. Went to celebrate our anniversary with a staycation. The rooms were old, poorly lit, and the beds felt cheap with very thin comforters. Meals were bland, and there isn't a lot to do. The spa service were nice. The pool lacked service, and trying to get a drink was almost impossible which was disappointing. Overall, not worth the 4-star experience we hoped for, especially for a special occasion.

Lone Star Court is a trendy hotel located in the Domain in North Austin, offering retro-themed decor and a range of amenities. The hotel features colorful old school refrigerators filled with snacks and drinks, rocking chairs for relaxation, fire pits, and smore kits for a charming touch. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, dine al fresco at the on-site restaurant, or visit the bar for live music and cold rose.
My honey and I booked a staycation on a whim and Leon made our stay unforgettable. We started with complimentary lonestars and jokes at the door and he hooked us up with an upgrade, a bottle of champagne and a charcuterie plate to celebrate love :-) He was really funny, kind, caring and accommodating and we’ll be celebrating our anniversary there any chance we get. The room was amazing and I couldn’t stop talking about how good the hotel smelled. I wish it wasn’t too chilly to swim bc the pool was beautiful. There were private fire pits available for use to cozy up upon request. Bath bombs and bon bons provided. Fully stocked mini bar. I could go on and on.

I'm visiting here as my husband is here for business meetings. We've been impressed with the service and how helpful the staff is. I asked for a microwave since the room didn't come with one and they brought us one. The food is good here. The rooms are really clean. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The outside setting has the best vibes. There is lots of things to do in the area.

We stayed at Lone Star Court for the Kevin Gates concert weekend, and the experience was top-tier from start to finish. Leon at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and made check-in smooth. Drew went above and beyond helping us with the bikes and making sure we were settled in. The room was super clean and cozy, stocked with a mini-fridge full of drinks and a snack bar — a nice touch after a long night out. The bar stayed open late, and the fire pits outside created the perfect chill vibe. The pool area was quiet since it wasn’t too busy, which made it even better for relaxing. The location was perfect — close to restaurants, shopping, and the concert venue. Only minor thing I’d change is the room lighting could be a bit brighter, but overall it was a great stay with amazing service, comfort, and ambiance. Definitely recommend and would 100% stay here again for the next show!

We stayed for four nights. This was a business trip for my boyfriend while I tagged along for my vacation. The front desk staff were extremely friendly. They were courteous and efficient and knew how to do their jobs. They always had an answer to any question I threw at them. I was very impressed. I would come back just for the staff. The location couldn’t be beat. Close enough for shopping and dining and you’re just across the street for a spa day. The property boasts a restaurant and bar with a pool and evening fire pits that were lit throughout the property. Live music on certain days and a very fun atmosphere. Each room comes stocked with snacks you can purchase and the prices were very reasonable. We had a standard king bedroom. There were no dressers and just a simple wardrobe with two open shelves for all of our clothes. There wasn’t carpeting but just a concrete floor with a simple rope rug under the coffee table. The housekeeping staff, while quick to turn over a room, it needed a deep clean. I had spilled some ice water on the floor so I grabbed a towel and started to clean. When I was finished, the towel was black with dirt. It was after that, that I started to notice things. Cobwebs in the corners, dust on the hanging pendant light and hair that was painted onto the wall. The bathroom floor grout was also dirty and the tiles needed a scrub. It’s for those reasons alone that we won’t be back. The hotel itself seemed to be geared toward business travelers and weekend getaways. I would not recommend this for children nor long term guests.

Every detail about this hotel was thought out. There is live acoustic music at the restaurant/bar on the weekend and tons of fire pits around the property making it a very calming oasis. The room designs are spacious and intentional with even robes in the bathroom for your comfort. The staff was very kind and helpful. I would 1000% stay here again when coming to Austin at the domain and am very excited to stay in future Valencia Collection Hotels in my future travels.

This place has become a staple for my family, my friends, and I. We come here very often - when my parents visit from out of town, when my fiancé and I feel like a date night, or a night on the town…the couches, the customer service, everything about this place makes you feel like you are home!! Employees like Leon and Winnie are the reason people love this place so much. My fiancé and I had our engagement party at this hotel because we knew how special this place is. The employees at the Lone Star created a night we will never forget. Leon has sat and talked with us about our lives, about the hotel, about the INCREDIBLE candles they sell in the hotel lobby. Winnie has shared many memories with my family and I - all in all, this place is more than a hotel, it’s a place where people come to be…a place where I can sit at the bar and chat with a stranger, or talk for hours on the restaurant couch with my fiancé, or play corn hole with my dad on the lawn, or roast s'mores with my mom at the fire!! If you could rate it 10 out of 5 you would. Location away from the busy downtown with a real nice set up. Rooms big and beds comfortable. But where they really shine is with the team - wow. Well done. A particular shout out to Shemmy from front of house, her Austin tips were superb and Niha serving us breakfast, so gentle and nice. We had an aircon issue and this is where it divides the good from the great how to react to it - fabulous. All the best.

Stayed at Lone Star Court in Austin and had an awesome experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Our room was chic, clean, and had a great mix of snacks and amenities that made the stay feel extra comfortable. The location is super convenient with plenty to do nearby, and parking was easy with quick in-and-out access. Overall, a great spot to stay in Austin!

La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Austin North is a vibrant and welcoming hotel that offers a delightful stay in the heart of Austin's entertainment district. Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool, BBQ grills, and complimentary breakfast, WiFi, and parking. While it may not be brand new, this hotel provides excellent value for your money with consistently clean rooms and updated bathrooms. The spacious accommodations feature comfortable beds, ample desk space, and a variety of TV channels to keep you entertained.
It was a great stay. The beds were perfectly firm for my not-so-great back. We enjoyed the small extra livingroom with larger tv in the king suite. Right under 2 major highways, it was an easy choice. Breakfast options limited, but worth it. Some make your own waffles and expected sausage, yogurt, cereals, eggs.

Nice people. Room wasn't resort quality and was dated but was perfectly fine. Very clean. Felt very safe, even for the equipment I had to leave in my car overnight. And a surprisingly great sundries shop.

This is more of a 2 star hotel. I wish I read the reviews but trusted that Wyndham would take care of their properties. The staff is amazing! Only one man working the desk bless his heart, he was very sweet and helpful. The lobby looks good but the minute you step in the elevator , which is extremely past due on their inspection, you realize your mistake. The rooms need a deep clean. The air flow was not there it is very hot even with the A/C blowing. Everything feels sticky especially the remote and provided documents. The walls need to be painted to hide the stains of people spilling drinks and leaving boogers behind. We got a single bar of soap and a packet of shampoo/conditioner. I couldn’t feel comfortable enough to sleep. This property needs some love and I am extremely disappointed and grossed out especially for the price I paid.

I wouldn't stay here. The exterior of the hotel needs definite renovation. When you pull up from 35 it looks like it's abandoned. As soon as you step inside the lobby looks okay, but looks can be deceiving. The room I got was very dark, with lots of worn out furniture that's seen better days. The room is okay, it's clean enough underline the word enough. There's plenty of spots I can point out to you that need cleaning but for some reason missed during turnover. If you for whatever reason have to stay here, make sure to lock your vehicles and park as close to the door as possible. Priceline picked this for me as a place and I will be promptly getting a refund.

The best thing I can say is the man at the Registration desk was very nice and helpful. He was the only person at the desk and the line was long. He stayed calm, personable and professional. My 2 sisters and I reserved a room at the La Quinta booking phone number for 2 queen beds and a foldout couch. It was confirmed. When we got there the hotel appeared very run down, carpets were frayed everywhere and was not at all modern. Our room smelled bad and looked dirty and only had 2 queen beds, no fold out couch. Had 2 towels, 1 washcloth and 1 tiny bar of soap. We went back to the office, stood in line again and he found us a room ‘like we had originally requested’ on another floor. We got there and it was exactly the same as the first one. No fold out couch, 2 towels, no soap or amenities. 😠 At least it didn’t stink, was just musty. It was pretty late in the day at this point or we would have left. Bottom line, do NOT stay here. It was cheap, unkempt and not clean. I’m trying to get our money back.
Bach H — Google review
This hotel is old. Rooms need to be renewed. Holes in the carpet. Furniture has peeling paint everywhere. Breakfast was minimal, nothing special. The good things: Shower had lots of pressure and bed was comfortable. A/C was good too. Not a 2.5 hotel but a 2 or less in my opinion.
Ivette B — Google review
The only reason I’m giving it any stars is because the lady at the front desk was kind and accommodating..but this hotel is not it. Period…the lobby is nice that’s it. First room they gave me had a meth pipe in it..and when I upgraded the room that had bed bugs and a needle in it..I cannot make this up.
Keirah S — Google review
I stayed 2 nights. Hotel is dirty and old. At check in one of the two elevators were out of order. One day 2 of our stay my husband got stuck in the elevator 3 times. An old lady got stuck in it and was clearly shook by it. Not one time did anyone from the hotel help someone out of the elevator, we had to help each other. When I asked the man at the front desk for the manager, "Marcus Johnson" we was not in. He has not been in since I have left. I asked to see the current inspection on the elevators and they do not have it. I have created a case with the Texas Department of License or Regulations about this and I have called corporate as well. I have called everyday and "Marcus Johnson" is not in, and I believe he is not a real person, and I have not got the refund. DO NOT STAY HERE. ALL THE EMPLOYEES THAT GO ALONG TO GET ALONG ARE A FAULT FOR THIS.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Austin, the Hampton Inn & Suites Austin @ The University/Capitol offers a modern and inviting retreat for travelers. With its prime location near the Austin Convention Center and just a stone's throw from the University of Texas, this hotel is perfect for those looking to explore the vibrant city. Guests can enjoy stunning views of the skyline from their rooms or while lounging at the family-friendly rooftop pool, which also serves as an ideal spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing.
We stayed at this Hampton for five days as our daughter's wedding was last weekend and the service was so amazing that I had to leave a great review. Julie (sales Manager) made our stay super personalized and special and ensured our block of rooms and guests were well taken care of; Rose (Manager) was second to none for service - she ensured our family and guests had everything we needed. First class service for sure! Breakfast, the self serve bar, roof top pool, the rooms and the whole staff was exceptional! Will definitely be returning! Thank you for making our wedding weekend fantastic!!!

Chose to stay at this property based on Google reviews and I'm not sorry we did. You have to pull into the parking garage a little to find the front door and the front desk, but there is available parking right there. We were greeted warmly, recognized as Hilton Honors members, and given a great room. The lobby is very comfortable and is the location for the free breakfast every morning. The elevators are fairly quick and we easily found our way to our room. The room, unlike most of the rooms in which I've stayed, was barely carpeted. The decor was Austin proud. The HDTV has apps for channels and not just the normal listings, but it still had all of the shows we normally watch. The AC system is a little weird (normal for Austin, the home of weird)--never got used to the cycling on/off of the unit. The bathroom was good sized and there was plenty of hot water for showers. The rooms were quiet and very spacious. No real complaints about our stay (other than maybe the AC unit which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5).

Recently stayed at this Hampton Inn. Came to attend a one day conference. I expected a run of the mill Hampton Inn. I was pleasantly surprised to find this location was a cut above. My room was spacious, modern, clean, and everything worked. Staff were helpful and check in went well. Parking under the building was helpful with an elevator to take you to your floor. Parking was pricey but expected in downtown Austin.Breakfast was typical but no complaints. Overall experience exceeded my expectations.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times since August 2025 …why? #1 Location to UT Austin can be walking distance or 3-5 minute drive …#2…Full Breakfast…very good…#3. Nice Gym…#4…The bedroom was very clean, love hot shower and noise level was quite at night but do expect most hotels there are folks who come for conferences and wake up for breakfast so you will hear conversations, doors closing around 7-8 am…and the Staff from front desk to breakfast area has always been very nice, polite and helpful. I will be back soon. Belinda

Good hotel when in town for a conference, though painfully pricy, just like everything else in downtown Austin. Service was great. Furniture in the room felt a bit crooked and disorganized, and the refrigerator did not get very cold, which didn't do well for preserving my leftovers. Otherwise, the rest of the amenities were nice. Good option for convenience, if you can afford it.
James G — Google review
Great hotel!! The staff goes above and beyond to take care of their guests. The manager, Rose, was such a blessing in processing our stay. We stay here every year for a conference and will continue to comeback. This Hampton Inn was recently remodeled and the lobby is so inviting and comfortable. The free breakfast is a plus with many options. I recommend this hotel over the others in the area because they are very accommodating and appreciative.

My fiance and I stayed here for a concert at the moody center and they went above and beyond for perfect service. Rose at the front desk is incredibly sweet and very helpful! Rooms are clean and up-to-date, parking is easy, breakfast was delicious, and all other amenities were amazing. We want to thank Rose and all other amazing staff for the wonderful experience!

The balcony door did not close. We ran out of toilet paper twice in our 6 day stay. We did not receive our Hilton Honor Points.I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights with my husband and was extremely disappointed in how Hilton handled my Hilton Honors points for this stay. The reservation was made in advance using my Hilton Honors account, and my Honors number is clearly printed on the final receipt. However, despite staying the full duration and personally handling the check-in, Hilton has refused to award me the points I earned. Their reasoning? That I wasn't the "registered guest"—which is false. I was the person who booked, stayed, and paid. The only change made to the reservation was a room switch upon arrival because the original room did not have a balcony as expected. That in no way should disqualify me from earning points, and I have not received a valid explanation. Instead, I was met with generic replies and shifting excuses from customer service, even though my name and Honors number are attached to the entire stay. This experience makes me seriously question the integrity of the Hilton Honors program and the accountability of their customer service. It feels like they’re looking for technicalities to avoid honoring their own rewards system. I have been a loyal guest, but this has left a very sour taste and I will be reconsidering future stays with Hilton brands. Disappointed and frustrated.

The hotel's inviting decor and spacious, well-designed rooms make for a comfortable stay, with guests expressing their desire to return for another visit.
Very positive experience!! Front desk was very kind and helpful! The property is well maintained and beautiful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Happy hour was a nice surprise and breakfast was delicious. Zero complaints!
Miguel R — Google review
A very solid hotel in a great location there in the Tech/Parmer area. Easy access from the freeway and to restaurants. Check in was simple with the digital key. What was not simple was how far the walk was from the lobby to our room which I didn’t mind once, but the digital key was not working at the back entrance, so we had to venture back to the front for an actual key. Good way to get your steps for the day because this hotel has some long hallways. Room was spacious and clean but you automatically lose a point for small TVs. Everything in the kitchen was clean and in order which can be an issue at some HS hotels. I would recommend this HS location if you find yourself in North Austin just bring your binoculars for the TVs.
Bobby B — Google review
Great hotel, but between construction and paper thin walls I had to rate it 3 stars. I got woken up by the sound of loud men stomping, singing and the sound of drills right above my head. I get doing construction and they did wait until “daytime” hours, but it’s 8 am on the dot on a weekend. I have to drive home today and will probably be too tired to make it. Otherwise, nice pool, friendly staff, and I like the layout of the rooms. We came to visit family and it was perfect location for what we wanted. Edit to add: our car was broken into. We got our work laptop and work items stolen. Looking at other messages this is a reoccurring issue. They simply said there cameras aren’t working when asked to view them. The safety of the customers doesn’t seem to be a priority.

The rooms were clean but the bed was awful. Anytime one of us would move the whole bed shook. I love the separate bedroom and bathroom. I wish I could stay in one of these (with a good bed) every week. The service was excellent! Everyone was friendly and willing to help if needed. The walking was fair. We walked around the Parmer within the Tech buildings each evening. Very quiet! The very last night there was a strong odor of marijuana in one of the hotel halls and in the parking lot which we do not care for.

Secure and comfortable room w/mini kitchenette. Handicap accessible rooms and amenities. Beautiful swimming pool area (also handicap accessible). Friendly and accommodating staff. Clean rooms, pool, hallways, dining and common areas. PET FRIENDLY. It was a big plus that we could have our pup with us. Lots of outdoor space to walk and let her “explore”; especially the wildlife around the perimeter of the parking area. We were needing a place near home to stay while some demo work was being done at home. This place was PERFECT.

I really enjoyed this hotel, happy I found it on Google maps. Definitely would pick this place again due to how close everything was like HEB, AMC, in and out, and much more. The room was nice and clean and the service from the front desk was nice and easy. The gym equipment was good no issues there. Only issue was at night the room would feel hot and i would try to lower the temperature but nothing would chnage but it didn't really bother me much, I still enjoyed the stay. I would still recommend this place for anyone thinking of staying here.
Joshua S — Google review
The front desk staff were RUDE and dishonest. The room that I booked and prepaid was unavailable however no one mentioned this to me at the time I was checking in. Parking lot was empty however the room that I booked AND PREPAID was unavailable. I was given a room with a walk in shower which was unacceptable as I had my young child with me. When asked to speak to a manager, I was given a number that rang back to the front desk. Book another Homewood to save yourself the frustration! They could care less. Forgot to mention that the front desk also advised us that they you are not guaranteed the room type that you booked and prepaid for and that they just have to provide you with a room. Therefore, I was given a mobility accessible room. DO NOT STAY THERE!
Tashana B — Google review
First off - Marilynn was amazing checking us in and out. Very polite and professional and so nice. The Service offered by her was exemplary. Also, the breakfast area was well stocked and kept clean and the garbage emptied regularly. Our room was also very nice and clean. Wish they offered Almond or Lactose free milk at breakfast. They only offered one type of milk. The bread and muffins were dry. Also, wish the butter and jams were not a common jar- but rather an individual packets. It was unsanitary with it open like that - as there were people sneezing and coughing while getting their food. Still - overall - a great hotel with wonderful art and decorations. Will definitely stay here again.

Whether you're in town for a bachelorette party or seeking a peaceful retreat by Lake Travis, this hotel provides the perfect base for your adventures.

It’s not supposed to be a Hilton, but for those who are looking for more longer accommodation and find themselves in a bit of a limbo or for those on business trips it’s perfect.

Not worth the cheap price, spend a little more per night and go somewhere else. I expected the building to be dated and budget, which was the case. I didn’t expect the sketchy parking lot or the homeless encampment in the woods behind the building. The absolute worst part was the smell in the third floor hallway, imagine chemicals mixed with puke mixed with rotting trash mixed with nursing home smell. The AC unit in room had obvious black mold. The staff was friendly but their computer and door card system is extremely slow. Extended Stay hotels are very hit or miss, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Arrived and was told that my 11 day stay was refused because the hotel was fully booked and that they'd left the responsibility of contacting me to book elsewhere to Expedia. Would recommend double-checking any booking. If you shake hands here, count your fingers.

Great location but that’s about it. Stayed 2 weeks and regrettably with my toddler. Never again. Room smelled, NEEDLE CAPS under the bed and we got a stomach bug the first two days there. Front desk named Amber was RUDE. Could not be bothered for anything and never had anything( towels, sheets, trash bags etc) available. Also the keys ALWAYS mess up. Was locked out of our room after midnight and could not find the front desk because she playing hide and seek with the security officer who also said he didn’t know where she was. Oh and they continue to charge you even after you checkout. This location was a nightmare. Never again.

One of my best stays at an extended stay America in a long time location is perfect, the rooms are spacious, the service is wonderful, the rooms are clean, the staffs here are very helpful and friendly. Wanted to thank Mrs Latasha Vaughn the General Manager for holding a wonderful place for us to stay and feel comfortable while we sleep. A lot of people look for a high end place with a cheap price and to me this place is very well taking care of. I enjoyed my stay here and I will definitely be returning in the near future. Thank you all

Awful customer service. The weather strip on our front door was not up to code and literally anyone could have come into our room. Our next door neighbors were so loud and rude. The whole hotel reeked of smoke and was so outdated. The bathroom door even has water damage. It’s gross and disheartening to have stayed here and been charged more than two nights stay for smoking even though the employee neglected to inform us of the policy and did not send documentation to sign until 4:50AM the day after check in.

Nice spot by the city, lovely staff, but I wouldn't go back...aside from the nice things, it could outweigh the bad things. My clock card had to be set twice a week, door fixed once, biggest problem was I had 2 incidents with cockroaches in my bed and once in my shower, then there's the bed bugs....not sure if they actually believed me, but I have lots of bites and photos...worst of all, I was compensated for what so ever, dont agree with that!

Atwell Suites Austin Airport is a laid-back hotel that provides various amenities such as an outdoor pool, gym, complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi, and an airport shuttle. Guests can also enjoy leisure activities like playing tennis or taking a dip in the seasonal outdoor pool for a fee. The hotel features a fitness studio and some rooms offer private bathrooms with bathtubs and roll-in showers. While the lobby has a modern design and the staff is friendly and helpful, there are ongoing renovations to improve the property.
My connecting flight was changed, so I had to book a last minute room and came across this hotel based on reviews and price and I’m glad I did! The price was very reasonable for a one night stay, and the service was outstanding. The front desk attendant, Ivan, went above and beyond for me during the night shift. He arranged my Uber pick up from the airport, made check in smooth, and even understood how much a cold beer would mean after a long, exhausting day of travel. Truly a great guy! In the morning, Ray at the front desk was just as helpful he booked my ride back to the airport, and Shawn, the driver, was friendly and reliable. The rooms and restrooms were clean, and overall, the experience was excellent. I travel often to Texas, and this hotel has now become my #1 choice when visiting Austin. Highly recommended!

Very close to the airport. My family and I got a two queen room which came with a three seater couch (my teen took that over!), a chair with small round table, and a long narrow table with tall chair. We enjoyed the room design. The breakfast area had a good set up and decent food. There was a “common” area that we used on the 2nd floor. Tables and work areas with a couch and TV. The front desk people were great.

I stayed in Atwell Suites for the first time while visiting Austin. The staff was so personable and professional. Sean (Shawn ?) drove the hotel shuttle and was so very nice and professional. I was very comfortable riding in the shuttle with him. I travel often and will hopefully find Atwell Suites in other locations so I can stay there. Nice hotel.

Outstanding Service and Family-Friendly Stay! We had a last-minute booking at Atwell Suites and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Traveling with my wife, our baby son, and our dog can be a lot—but the team made everything seamless from the moment we arrived. The room was perfect for our little family—plenty of space for our pup to stretch out, a crib already set up for our son, and reliable WiFi so I could get work done without a hitch. What really made our stay exceptional, though, was the service. Alessandra went above and beyond—she truly made us feel welcomed and taken care of. She does her job, and she does it exceptionally well. We’ll absolutely be back. Thank you Alessandra and the Atwell Suites team!

Due to an unexpected diversion in our American Airlines route to the Austin Airport, we had a one-night stay at the Atwell Suites, which AA paid for on our behalf. The front office sent an Uber to pick us up promptly, and registered us very efficiently, despite a lot of a lot of other guests. The room was clean and nice, and the complimentary breakfast was terrific. A very helpful and courteous gentleman named Sean took us to the Airport in a very timely manner. It was a good experience considering we had an unexpected overnight stay in Austin!

Great stay. Extremely friendly staff. Checked in around 1 am. with Ray. Despite it being the middle of the night, he was upbeat and friendly. He even made suggestions for things to do with my family while being there. Decent continental breakfast. Annalise was friendly. Ivan was also great. Customer service was top tier throughout. We were unable to adjust the temperature in the room, BUT Ivan was quick and helpful to fix it, and offered a follow-up. Rooms were clean and spacious. We used the outdoor pool, which was nice as well. Hot tub was nice and hot and the pool was a moderate temp as well. They even had pool towels available outside. The only suggestion is to have a pool net available as it was a little dirty. (BUT also an outdoor pool). The common area was cute too, the TV didn't work but they had some awesome family friend games available! My family enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Atwell Suites team!

Paddling on Lady Bird Lake in Austin is a delightful way to experience the city's natural beauty and vibrant atmosphere. It could be a bit more clean in some areas. The calm waters provide the perfect setting for kayaking, paddleboarding, or canoeing, offering stunning views of the downtown skyline, lush greenery, and iconic landmarks like the Congress Avenue Bridge. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced paddler, the lake's serene environment makes for a relaxing outing. Along the way, you might spot turtles, birds, and even the famous bats at sunset. The accessibility of rental services and the friendly local vibe add to the experience. Paddling on Lady Bird Lake is a must-do activity for anyone looking to enjoy Austin's outdoor charm.

Definitely won't/don't book here. You have been warned. Very unacceptable, uncomfortable & unpleasant. The room stink as soon as we opened up the door. Comforted had smoking hole. Restroom/tab was peeling, hole in the wall, mold, old stickers like a kids room. No iron, coffee because they wanted to charge us for it. Room smelled musty could use some air freshener..my wife and I are in our 60s and have disabilities we were placed on third floor ; however, it was quiet and we rested well....cigarette burns bored on top blanket....I asked for an inspection upon departure and return of security deposit however have not been notified that such deposit had been returned by my bank ..upon check out I noted a gentleman in lobby stuffing his shirt with bread ...the staff was friendly and helpful...overall I have the impression that this hotel is working hard to make improvements .....they addressed each item I mentioned...overall my stay wasn't bad but for the price I could have chosen a better place ...from the work I saw the staff doing i wouldn't be surprised if these issues don't become a thing of the past very soon....everyone there was working hard and very friendly

Charging $90 and taking $60 deposit for such a nasty hotel is abusive. I usually don't like living negative reviews but this time, I think I must help other avoid this trap. Please find a better place to stay. The shower is super nasty.. the breakfast is useless.. I could not shower, and I did not touch their breakfast.. you get much better meal at burger king for $5.

Not recommended for families, showers were not working and bathroom were smelled bad wit roaches eggs. All the sewage outlets were opened. Service is good, breakfast is with least options but not bad for the cost we paid for the room. Other than that rooms has to improve since it's mus be old property needs complete renovation or reconstruction.

The pictures on booking.com aren't anywhere near what it looks like in real life. The first room the TV and phone wasn't working. The ceiling light/fan didn't work as well. The second room was worse. The toilet seat had a huge crack in it,the tub was peeling and had black stains or mold in it. The bathroom sink had a leak underneath and I had to empty the bucket out while there. Once again the ceiling fan/light didn't work. The bed sheets had cigarette burns. No ice machine on the second floor .The swimming pool was unusable.

Worst hotel experience in Austin — this place needs to be bulldozed. The room was absolutely disgusting and completely uninhabitable. It was infested with black mold everywhere, even in the air — you could feel it pulling at your lungs. I got sick and needed medical treatment. Electrical wires were sticking out from the vanity light, and the outlet by the hairdryer didn’t work. The hairdryer itself was broken. The toilet barely flushed and we had to ask for a plunger multiple times. The refrigerator door wouldn’t close, so all our food spoiled. On top of the filth, Diana at the front desk was shockingly rude and unprofessional — absolutely not suited for hospitality. She had no understanding of ADA laws and gave us trouble over legitimate service animals, saying they "don’t bark." Meanwhile, drug addicts were knocking on our door until 1 a.m., a woman high on heroin walked into our room, and a known pimp was running girls in and out of two rooms down the hall. This place is unsafe, unsanitary, and a complete disgrace. DO NOT stay here.
Jamie S — Google review
I have stayed here twice it's been great both times. The front desk clerk has had 3 different hair colors on both my trips. Blue, Pink , and grey. Now I have to come back and see what color is next.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Austin, The Royal Sonesta Stephen F. Austin Hotel is a stunning blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Originally opened in 1924 as the tallest building in the city, this beautifully restored hotel boasts an impressive Art Deco facade that captures the essence of its storied past. Guests can indulge in a range of amenities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center with an indoor lap pool and an inviting American grill restaurant.
We had a really nice stay here. Manager Rodney helped us and our room was very spacious & comfortable - couch & bed were both really comfy. The second floor lounge is lovely, well appointed & excellent bartenders last night - the male one made fabulous martinis 🍸 We had an issue with Jose upon check-in, but Rodney fixed everything and we’re happy. All other staff is super friendly & accommodating, great location, spacious rooms - recommend.

The Stephen F Austin is my favorite hotel in Austin! The service is so great-very welcoming and helpful when checking in. We stay in a small suite the is great and priced very well! Our view of the capital is so pretty! We come for a lot of sporting events a this is the hotel we choose. Downtown location is a perk, also. Try it!!

I had an incredible experience at this hotel. The people working there are so kind, thoughtful, and helpful. They made my stay amazing and even gave me cool historical facts about the hotel too. (Like Miss Congeniality was filmed right there). The rooms are fancy and cozy. It feels very safe. Overall it is a top tier hotel with great vibes. If you book, you will not regret it.

Room was nice and big but had hair in the bathroom sink, toilet seat and tub. Water pressure in the sink and shower suckeddddddd!!! The only good thing was it was close to work. Also, told valets to charge our car twice during our stay and they didn't which was very inconvenient for us.

I love this hotel. I frequently have to come to Austin for work and this is my home away from home. The accommodations are super roomy and clean (most of the time my bathroom has a vanity for extra space which is fantastic), the gym is top tier, the hotel itself is super close to everything in downtown, and most importantly the staff is top notch! Special shout out to Aeri at the front desk and Geraldo the doorman for always going above and beyond to make me feel special. They recognize me when I come in and know me by name. The rest of the staff is truly exceptional but these two are gems. Geraldo is always at the door waiting with a smile, helping me get the right uber flagged, and has even run across the street to grab my DoorDash when they messed up the delivery location! Aeri is here when I usually check in and she is a ray of sunshine no matter the time of day. You should stay here if you have the chance!

Location is great. Housekeeping didnt come until about 30 minutes to checkout, and then just barged in without knocking. The room itself was ok- bathroom setup was a little weird, like no place for your towel after you shower. Soft water, and no water pressure. Pool was okay, but nothing like the pictures. Also AC kept turning off at night so it was hard to sleep. Mostly the encounters with front desk were quite lovely, but I did ask for more stir sticks at the free coffee counter at 9 am since they were out- and the woman gave me some attitude and told me that they didnt have any- to which I asked for spoons. Then she begrudgingly directed me to the breakfast café where a helpful gentleman refilled the stir sticks for myself and the other people waiting.

The hotel has a great vibe and a great location. Most importantly, it has great service. They served an excellent scotch at check-in, they put great chocolates in the shape of an F1 car in our room, and everyone from the front desk staff to the excellent manager, Ric, worked hard to make sure we felt at home and were well taken care of. I really enjoyed the pool as well. Overall, a great stay.

Went to the Stephen F Austin for our 17 year wedding anniversary. We spent our honeymoon at this particular hotel. We are both from Austin and we chose this hotel for the historic and luxury that it brings to Austin. This is a very underrated hotel all my friends and family Will know about this story. We are not wealthy people, but the staff and everybody involved at this hotel treated us like royalty still come back for my 20 3050 as long as the hotel is still up we will continue to spend our anniversary. Here was really surprised with the room upgrades Champagne chocolate covered strawberries was able to even sleep in a little bit later and check out at a later time, never experienced that been to top hotels around the world passed up Austin‘s number one hotel just to come to the Stephen F Austin, hotel governor suite

No complaints! Very clean! Check in was fast and easy, the room smelled good and a/c worked, the room was quiet at night. I was on the fourth floor, great view of the pool. Iron and board if I needed it, bathroom was clean, the breakfast was great, coffee was good, the staff was friendly and helpful. They helped me print important documents work-related. A Denny’s down the street, I went walking and was generally a safe area. Laundry room in every floor. Great for the price , would come here again.

DON'T STAY!!!!!!! BED BUGS Spend a little extra money and stay somewhere else. When we arrived, there was already an issue with my reservations. The lady at the desk, however, was very sweet, but it took about 20 minutes to get to the room. When we got to the room, it was so hot in there and had a bad smell. The minute we were about to sit on the bed, we saw a bed bug. Please do yourself a favor. Don't bother, it's not worth it. I don't know how this place is still open. BED BUGS, really? The room was #322

Elevator was once again not working properly upon exiting with my cart full of stuff! it's a reocurring thing there, It wouldn't be so bad If they kept both elevators running but they only utilize one, common let's do better, You have great potential to up your score if you fix your elevators. Four floors at this hotel. Otherwise Staff is pretty friendly and tries to make your stay enjoyable

For the price, this place grants you a good enough place to rest for the night, but with no extra frills of course. Our room had breakfast included (selection was pretty limited). The hotel in some areas actually smells like they disinfect the place, so thats nice. The room itself it pretty basic, blankets are on the thinner side, but all clean. It was dated for sure, but had soaps, towels, shampoo, laundry bag and ironing tools. Also had a fridge and microwave. Only downside would be the fact that its right by a major road so traffic noises can come through depending on where your room is, I suppose :) Service was excellent at the front desk at check-in and check-out. We were there for a very short time, so I can't say I know how close it was to places of interest but it was definitely a short drive from 6th Street and some trails.

It’s the town easily mistaken a border town like Tijuana. From the near by convenient store to this hotel, was run by Hispanic staff. The cleaning lady was listening to a loud Mexican music through the radio while doing the cleaning and the handy man talking loudly to his colleagues while pounding the nails to the wall. The handle bar in the bathroom was missing and the TV control was not in the room. You can see the hotel is cutting the budget by not serving the tea bags or coffee in the guest rooms. Besides all this unexpected experience, the staff was friendly and helpful especially the lovely front desk, Haydy was amazing sweet and helpful.

May is one of the sweetest people who has worked up there for a while and makes you feel like you are at home. Of course the location is the very best your 10 minutes from anywhere. The rooms smell incredible (some new freshener), always clean and presentable. The mattresses are a little hard. Just bring a little mini blanket for padding. ; )

I had a major surgery just 5 minutes from the hotel, and It didn't break my bank. Room was clean. The building might use some refresher, loose handles in the elevator ( I fixed the loose toilet seat).... But nice and quiet.

The vibes were not so great can’t really explain just that it didn’t feel welcoming. Our room had a very strong smell like if something got wet and didn’t dry. Opening the door was also a hassle but we managed. It had instructions taped to the door to how to pull up and stuff but it was still hard to open. Breakfast was great it was our first time and my kids really enjoyed it. The cleanliness of the room I must say was 4 stars. I wouldn’t stay here again but had a good experience overall all. Thank you for your time and consideration!

This hotel is awful! It’s not clean. It needs to be upgraded. The actual room is a good size but It just felt so dirty. I called front desk to get more towels and they made me go get them myself. The hotel is dog friendly so it might be because of this. The hotel smells like plug-ins trying to cover up another smell. The bathroom doesn’t even have where the toilet paper goes, we have to place it on the counter. Our door doesn’t open right and has a sticker where it says we have to pull up then push. Breakfast was eggs, half cooked bacon, Texas wafffles, cereal, toast and bagels. Coffee and OJ included.

Mold in 4 rooms, dismissive management, and a pattern that’s been going on for years At first, we didn’t think much of it. Figured the dark spots on the ceiling were dirt. But by the next morning, it was clear: it was mold. We reported it and were told there was a 3-room transfer limit. If the third room wasn’t “up to our standards,” we’d get a refund. Rooms 2 and 3 had mold too. The manager then "graciously" let us check two more rooms. Room 4 was the worst of them all, so we didn’t even bother with a fifth. Four out of four had mold. That’s not a fluke. Then we were told we were the first people to ever complain about mold. That felt off, so we checked the reviews. Sure enough, there are at least 11or 12 reviews mentioning mold, going back YEARS. All of them got the same “we’ll look into it” response. That’s not a one-time mistake. That’s a pattern. The way we were spoken to didn’t help. “We don’t know if any of the rooms are up to your standards” was the exact line. Like asking for a room that’s not growing spores is some kind of luxury. We had our 8-year-old with us. I stayed calm because I could see my wife getting rightfully upset. The manager admitted the mold was a health risk, but it came off like a legal formality, not an actual concern. When my wife asked to speak to someone above her, we were told she was the highest authority on-site and reminded again about the refund. We took the refund because we had no choice. But that doesn’t erase the fact that we were put at risk, wasted hours trying to solve it ourselves, and were subtly made to feel like we were overreacting. The “nobody else has complained” line, the “your standards” remark, it felt like gaslighting. We’ve got photos. We’re also reporting this to the Board of Health. If this has been going on for years, then who knows how many people have been exposed while management keeps pretending it’s news to them. Later on, the manager publicly described our interaction as “respectful,” like we came to some mutual understanding. She made my wife sound unreasonable in the process. Yeah, I was respectful. But I also didn’t feel respected. I was being polite to someone who treated our concern like a matter of personal preference, not health and safety. Bottom line: mold in every room we were shown. A history of complaints. Dismissive and minimizing staff. And no actual plan to fix it. That’s not an accident. That’s the culture. Until this place gets professionally inspected and cleared, I wouldn’t stay here again, especially not with kids.

06-07-2025: arrived Sat for a quick stop in Austin and left Sun. The room was very nice and updated and the bed very comfortable. The room was spacious I didn’t feel cramped. When I’m in Austin I usually stay here anyway. My husband enjoyed the breakfast of scrambled eggs and sausage however I only tried the blueberry muffin which I did not like.

I am staying in one of the suites that is far from being sweet. When I walked into the room not only did it smell musty but there are large stains on the floor. The air conditioners are so noisy and the wall thermostats don't work that it makes it difficult to sleep. In addition the beds lack them out of comfort and the pillows are very thin. The internet is virtually non-existent and as a travel for business there's no excuse for not having a solid internet in this day and age. If I had a rate this hotel after over 40 years of traveling for business and staying in hotels, this would be the second worst experience in my life. Wyndham you should be ashamed of this hotel.

Great location at the Domain, but we felt the property is going downhill. The front desk was not welcoming and the water pressure in the shower in our room was so high that it literally hurt a skin cancer treatment wound I'm recovering from. We have stayed at this La Quinta several time over the past few years and this was definitely the worse stay. Probably we will look for another property next time we visit north Austin.

Stayed 2 nights here while visiting friends and family. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast left something to be desired. Neither day did they have waffles or pancakes. And I won't start on the powdered eggs. Overall it was a good stay.

First, the bad... The breakfast was sort of gross. The eggs, I think they were eggs, had a texture like a sponge and only a little more flavor. The sausage was a good example of why it is best not to wonder what parts of the animal, or what species, go into its production. The room was comfortable. I just wish it was possible to block outside light with the curtains. They actually do a pretty good job. I am just sensitive to light . The pool, service, and other features were also quite adequate.
Bob R — Google review
Very dirty, stained carpets throughout the hotel. Avoid the second floor. Very disturbingly strong smell of curry, as the owners use the hotel room right next to the elevator to cook for their family members/employees. So strong that it will stay in your clothes. Pool door/exit key entry mechanism does not work. You will have to go around to the front lobby entrance in your swimsuit to get back to your hotel room. Beds are comfortable.
CORTEZ M — Google review
The room we stayed in had an awful smell that never went away. It was clear that it had not been properly cleaned prior to our check-in. The sheets were dirty, covered in hair and crumbs, and I had to use an extra blanket I brought from home just to be able to sleep. The bathroom floor still had trash and other items left behind from a previous guest, which was unacceptable. Additionally, the hot tub is out of order and, according to staff, there are no plans to fix it anytime soon. The surrounding area also feels questionable and not very safe. I would not recommend staying here unless these issues don’t bother you.
Kacie L — Google review
Worst hotel experience ever. If it weren’t for the fact that it’s close to my job, I wouldn’t keep booking here. The rooms are in poor condition: 1. The shower doesn’t work. 2. The bathroom exhaust fan is broken. 3. I’ve asked multiple times for the gym to be cleaned — a ceiling tile fell onto the floor and it’s been there for over three days. I reported it to the manager and the cleaning staff. I even offered to sweep it myself and asked to borrow a broom. The manager’s response was: “I don’t know where the brooms are.” Unbelievable. I will be requesting a refund for this stay.

The room carpet was dirty and the restroom doors paint was coming off. Really bad paint job. I recommend for them to fix that issue. The place lacks in maintenance. I was so disappointed knowing that my family was staying in a hotel like this. Never again.

Probably one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. I gave 2 stars because the gentleman at the front was fairly nice. I came here for my boyfriend’s birthday, he loves Pinballz, so we decided to stay close by. The lamp shade was yellow and had stains, the bathtub had black “something” you couldn’t get out (I’m so glad I didn’t take a bath). I’ve stayed at Knights Inn’s better than this. I can’t believe they call this place “suites” I would not spend your money here, regardless of how cheap it is……there’s a reason why it’s so cheap.

We had a baby shower to attend and my hubs took care of the accomodations - big mistake! After driving 3 hours from the Houston area, we made it to the hotel around 1130pm or so. Walking in it immediately smelled like weed. I knew then hubs choose the wrong hotel. We got to the counter - we were so tired but the gentlemnan checked us in quickly and gave us the room number. He didnt tell us where the elevator was but luckily it wasnt too difficult to find. The hotel wreaked of foul smells and looked overall dingy and dirty. When we got inside the elevator, you felt and heard that big jolt. I can tell that thing is on its last leg or maybe needs some WD40 lol - it was a questionable ride up to our floor. But getting off of the elevator - oMG! The ceilings in the hallway were missing coverings and completely open. It stunk so bad in that hallway. I was horrified by our room. It had so much mold in three places on the ceiling BLACK MOLD! It was damp and moist in the room and it smelled so moldy...The paint in the corners was peeling off of the walls. I peeked in the bathroom and the shower floor was NASTY like it had not been cleaned or maybe was stained. There were red koolaid looking spots in the carpot..wth!! No no no! We were exhuasted but we walked straight back out of there. I refused to stay there. My husband went to talk to the front counter guy who then told him we dont allow refunds - the process is (i guess they get this a lot because they have a "process") that you tell them you are unhappy with your room and they can change it. Ummmm sir no sir. Goodbye. We are not staying in this icky hotel. Since they would not give a refund, we kept the key and took it back the next morning at checkout time....Hopefully we could save someone else from being put in there for the rest of the night lol! Honestly, I think this place scams people...the rooms look nothing like the pictures online. This hotel is everything you dont want in a stay. I've traveled around the world and seen a lot of places - this was the worst I ever experienced.

It's conveniently located near a park with walking paths and playgrounds, as well as various dining and entertainment options within walking distance. Wow. I travel often and was pleasantly surprised by the genuine luxury feel of this hotel. Jazz players in the lobby, incredibly knowledgeable front desk, check in/out was very quick/easy. The rooms are beautiful, pristine, and spotless. The beds are fluffy and cozy, and I loved the bathrooms- super roomy and luxurious. The restaurant views were beautiful, but the dishes were small and left a little to be desired. The pool is small but very peaceful and only had a few people at a time. Loved the downstairs coffee shop as well, location is super walkable, right on the Town Lake Trails.

My recent stay at The Loren was truly outstanding, and I highly recommend it! While the hotel itself is beautiful and the amenities are top-notch, the service truly sets it apart. A massive thank you goes to Ricky, who was an incredible host from the moment I arrived. He took the time to make sure I had a comprehensive understanding of all the hotel features and, crucially, gave me fantastic insights into the local area. His recommendations were perfect, and he helped me feel settled and knowledgeable about my surroundings right away. Ricky's warm hospitality and attention to detail elevated my entire experience. I can't wait to come back!

I really wish I could give this hotel 5 stars because there is a lot to like. The rooms are VERY nice as is the property as a whole. Surrounding location is pretty with park and skyline, although not as conveniently located as some other nice hotels in town. What brings my rating down to a 4 is the service. Had to call multiple times asking for things bc it was very slow or they would forget. Think they just need a manager to get things more organized there. Staff was nice though and the bar and restaurant upstairs is nice as well with good views. I would give it a 4.5 if Google would let me (let’s start half stars Google!)

I booked this hotel as I had been working and wanted some comfort and rest. This is the most over priced poorest nights rest I have ever had! Although the room was nice, the bed may as well have been in the middle of the street, the noise was horrific! Any hotel that charges $600 for a room and leaves a note with earplugs to help you get a good nights sleep, I deffinately should have thought twice. On check out when asked how my stay was, the receptionist couldnt have given less of a care if she tried! Very disappointed and NOT worth the money.

Loved our stay here. It’s a beautiful hotel and the location is really perfect! We wanted to be near the major attractions of downtown Austin but also in a quiet area. The rooms were big, clean, and the bed was really comfortable. Awesome view from the restaurant. Gym was clean and well equipped. Grabbed a drink at the coffee bar downstairs on the way out.

This is my new “go-to” staycation hotel in Austin! They were so accommodating: early check-in, late check-out, fast room service for food, and even a noise canceling machine for sleep! Desirae was there at check-in and kickstarted my stay! She helped me figure out which room to stay in as I was a walk-in. She also had wonderful people skills; I felt like I could take my time and ask questions about the pool/food hours, etc. The room service came from their restaurant on the top floor called Nido. My daughter and I split a large roast chicken, couscous, fries/aioli, and gelato! The chicken was one of the most juicy chickens I’ve ever had! For breakfast we ate on the roof top in the restaurant, Nido. It was amazing as well. The rooms were very clean too. Lastly, the location is perfect! I highly recommend The Loren for your next Austin stay!

When the hotel gives you ear plugs on your night stand, with a card saying sound machines available on request it’s never a good sign. Road noise in the rooms is very high, and at least in my case, the “city-view” was nonexistent. I originally attempted to book this as an AMEX fine hotels and resorts but when that failed booked direct with hotel website. If you can get it thru Amex, free breakfast and $100 food credit probably makes it worth it. Otherwise the embassy suites a block away has bigger rooms, free breakfast, nicer staff and is half the price. Bottom line for me, the higher price doesn’t result in a luxury experience(I don’t think this property is deserving of a “fine hotels and resorts” designation honestly, it’s a disservice to some amazing hotels in the world ).

The Commodore Perry Estate, Auberge Resorts Collection is a luxurious hotel set on 10 acres of European-inspired grounds. Originally built in 1928 by real estate developer Edgar Howard Commodore Perry, the estate has been meticulously restored and transformed into a stunning luxury hotel. The property features an art nouveau restaurant called Luties, offering a robust menu with locally-sourced Texas ingredients and picturesque garden views.
Commodore Perry Estate was a true feast for the senses and a standout on our road trip. We stayed here as a stop along the way during a grueling cross-country relocation, and the estate offered such an enchanting respite from the long-haul travel. We arrived at night, exhausted from ~10 hours on the road. From the moment I stepped onto the driveway and saw the illuminated mansion and the magical evening ambiance, I felt instantly energized and inspired. Commodore Perry is a true sanctuary with beauty at every corner. I couldn’t stop taking pictures of every space and every thoughtful detail because I knew I would want to revisit the aesthetic inspiration again and again. Two of the highlights for me were our breakfasts in the exquisite dining room, where even our dog was pampered with her own doggy entree, and the long walks exploring the vast and breezy grounds. Can’t wait to return again on my next trip to Austin!

My stay at the Commodore Perry Estate in Austin, part of Auberge Resorts, was outstanding. The property is beautiful, with a classic 1940s and 1950s vibe that feels like stepping into a world of old-school glamour. The grounds are well-kept and impressive, and my room was comfortable and stylish. The bar was a highlight, serving great drinks—the tequila sour was a standout. The restaurant delivered solid food with a good wine selection to match. Service was top-notch, from the valet to the staff, everyone was friendly and attentive. I’d highly recommend this place for a memorable stay in Austin. I’ll be back.

A True Austin Gem This is an excellent property in all the ways that matter. I stayed here as part of a group trip and found the food, service, facilities, and attention to detail to be in a class all its own. Every corner of the Commodore Perry feels intentional...from the beautifully maintained grounds to the thoughtful design touches in the rooms. The staff struck the perfect balance of warmth and professionalism, anticipating needs without ever being intrusive. Meals were outstanding, especially breakfast at the mansion. The setting feels peaceful and distinctly Austin, refined but relaxed. If you appreciate understated luxury (and are willing to pay for it), genuine hospitality, and an atmosphere that invites you to slow down and enjoy, this is the place. *The only thing for the future is that they might consider adding golf, tennis, or spa on location.

My husband and I just got married this past weekend and chose to celebrate with a mini-moon in Austin before heading home. Having stayed in some of the most highly rated hotels worldwide over the years, we've truly been blown away by the service at the Commodore Hotel—it's absolutely unmatched. While the Commodore might not have the most amenities compared to other hotels, their service far exceeded our expectations. Once they learned it was our honeymoon, they went above and beyond to make our stay extra memorable and special. We rarely write reviews, as we expect excellent service from the resorts we frequent, but the Commodore Hotel genuinely deserves this recognition. We highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return!

Beautiful and elegant property. Loved the details on the Mansion absolutely gorgeous. The only reason one less star is the Manager was a little rough on the employees. Perhaps the workers can get more coordinated training so these types of things can be avoided. One the plus side, loved how they treat you when you check in with their welcome cookies, smiles and really goes out of the way to make you feel welcomed.

My husband and I stayed at the Commodore Perry Auberge resort to celebrate our 46th anniversary. We had heard of the special beauty and the quality service provided by the hotel. The buildings and grounds were impeccable. The service was good to fair, with a few exceptions the staff seemed disengaged. The room however was disappointing . The lighting especially in the bathroom is inadequate. The open shower is poorly designed and cold. But the real problem was a disfunctioning fire/ smoke detection which caused a bright light to flash throughout the night. Since it was late we had no option but to cover our heads with pillows. The next morning checking out we told the front desk of our problem and they expressed some concern but no remedy. We will return to Austin but will opt out for the much better managed Four Seasons hotel .

First impressions of this hotel are amazing, and it really gives off Aman style vibes. Staff are fantastic, and the food was amazing. Unfortunately the room was a major let down. Our room was located next to a lobby area. At first glance the room seemed fine but at night it became evident that the door has no sound insulation. The music from the lobby echoed into our bedroom as did footsteps and even quiet talking from the hallway. We had to ask the font desk to turn off the lobby music at midnight, but we were woken up again when it turned back on around 7 or 8am. For a 5* hotel there is no excuse not to have a fully insulated and sound proof entry door. The next major problem is the air conditioning. Unlike houses and other hotels where the thermostat turns the AC on/off a few times an hour; when you turn the thermostat on here it makes the fan run CONTINUOUSLY even when the cooling AC component is off. To make matters worse, the vent faces the bed directly meaning if you want ANY air conditioning then you MUST also have a non-stop fan blowing continuously at your head all night. Our solution was to keep waking up every hour once we got too hot, turn the AC on, then shut the whole system off a few minutes later to prevent continuous fan blowing. You’re either sweating all night, or having a fan blow on you all night - your choice! It’s possible I’m clueless about the thermostat and maybe there is a work around - but I sure didn’t fine one after 10 minutes of searching. It was also a very loud unit when it starts so maybe that is why the fan runs continuously. Either way someone needs to look into this. To me, the most important aspect of a hotel is ensuring a good sleep. Even though this hotel was FABULOUS in all other aspects the inability to have a good night’s rest means I can’t recommend this hotel until they take steps to address these problems. If you choose to stay here I recommend a room away from the lobby and one where the AC doesn’t face the bed (if you are sensitive to air blowing all night like I am). To management: I encourage you to spend a Friday night in room 29 to experience the symphony of music, talking, high heels walking by, random hums/rumbles/bass-like sounds from the walls, and feeling like your in a mild windstorm all night. Seriously though, this hotel really has so much potential to be amazing I hope they are able to fix these things and I will 1000% recommend them.

I love this place. So relaxing, amazing service and food. Only caveat is the number of kids. Pool always has kids making a lot of noise and playing, which is hard to be mad at, but does prevent you from actually relaxing by the pool.

This luxurious spa experience is elevated with its unique Spa After Dark: Twilight Treatment package, perfect for couples looking to indulge in romance and relaxation. Guests can unwind in a private solarium that boasts breathtaking skyline views while enjoying amenities like a saline soaking pool, eucalyptus steam grotto, and European dry heat sauna.
The few hours my boyfriend and I spent at the Fairmont Spa Austin were some of the best hours of my life! The 50 min bespoke couples massage was incredible. Then we both enjoyed the separate jacuzzi/sauna/steam rooms for a couple hours afterward. I truly felt like a queen and the staff was extremely attentive. I was offered complimentary mango sorbet sitting in a glass of Prosecco… I felt like I died and went to heaven. Do yourself a favor and book yourself a treatment at this spa!!!!

The Fairmont Austin Spa is an oasis for relaxation and self-care. I was kindly greeted and checked in for my treatment by Vallerea. I enjoyed the steam room, sauna and hot tub in the solarium before Kelly retrieved me for my 50-minute bespoke massage. She was so excellent, I regret not booking for 90-minutes. Guiliana and Sandra were also very welcoming and sweet. I will definitely be returning!

From the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out I was truly in the best hands. Doménica and Citlalli checked me at the front with ease and were very welcoming. Sandra and Estella kept the facilities spotless during my visit as well as being very attentive to all the guests. I received a massage by Kelly and WOW… I feel beyond refreshed and reset. She was very receptive to all my needs throughout the massage and I felt very comfortable from start to finish. My second treatment was with Dandie and she gave me an amazing facial, I left the room glowing and smiling ear to ear with great tips to implement at home. Thank you for the perfect relaxation day that I desperately needed!! You ladies went above and beyond and I will absolutely be returning.

I had the best massage by Kelly M on our weekend visit to Fairmount. She was very sweet with a soothing voice and applied the exact pressure I wanted. The facility it self was super clean, relaxing and accommodating.

I love this spa! I was staying at the hotel for a conference and a bad plane trip left me in a lot of pain. I was having a terrible time attending sessions due to the pain. I setup a message and I’m so happy I did. I left the session pain free!!!! The masseuse was super talented and left me feeling great. I highly recommend a massage here. The talent is amazing and I’m so glad to finally feel good.

I had an amazing and luxurious experience at the fairmont spa. All the facilities (spa, steam room, cold plunge, etc) were spotless and I was so pampered! Citlalli and Dominica made me feel so welcome upon arrival and Elle made my rest and recover treatment an 11/10. The staff here is the cherry on top to such a beautiful experience!!!

I can’t begin to describe just how relaxed I felt during my visit to the Fairmont Spa. From the moment I walked in, I was wrapped in an atmosphere of calm and luxury. The amenities alone — the Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, and serene waiting area — created the perfect setting to unwind before my treatment even began. My esthetician, Vallerea, was absolutely incredible. Her personal touch made the experience feel deeply customized and caring. She walked me through every step of the facial, addressing my concerns and explaining the benefits of the lymphatic drainage treatment in a way that was informative and comforting. I was so relaxed that I actually fell asleep — twice! That’s how deeply at ease I felt. Honestly, I left wondering how I’ve gone this long without ever experiencing a facial like this. It felt like I had been cheated out of something essential all my life. Fairmont Spa truly went above and beyond. Every detail was thoughtful, every moment intentional. This wasn’t just a treatment — it was a full reset for my body and mind. I’ll absolutely be returning and recommending it to anyone who needs a true escape and a reminder of how powerful self-care can be.

Just had the best massage by Bernice, she was so knowledgeable and attentive to the spots that needed the most work. I feel amazing after the massage. I was so relaxed! The spa facilities are also quite nice, sauna and steam room are good temperatures and the complimentary snacks and drinks are a nice bonus. Well worth the price for the whole experience.

Nestled just a short drive from the vibrant One World Theatre and the scenic Pennybacker Bridge, The Rivery Retreat is an idyllic luxury guesthouse that promises a serene escape. During my recent stay in December, I was captivated by the tranquil atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. The hosts provided thoughtful directions that made finding this hidden gem effortless, ensuring a smooth arrival with easy parking options. Once there, I was greeted by breathtaking landscapes meticulously cared for, reflecting the host's dedication to creating an inviting environment.
This was such a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable and clean. The pool area is top notch and that poolside fireplace!! Perfect for a romantic getaway. The host Nina was so accommodating and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend and we’ll be back for sure!

From the start, we were promptly greeted and felt so welcomed from our host. They were attentive, generous, and made sure to make our stay so special with special accommodations for my wife's birthday. The surroundings, the environment, and overall vibe of our location was so peaceful. I definitely see us coming back here again and can't wait to show this to my children. What a beautiful and wonderful place to get away from the craziness of the city, yet close enough if you want to check out what ATX is all about! One recommendation we highly suggest is the hot tub package, delicious handmade baskets, and floral arrangement to make your stay memorable.Thank you for being so kind and generous, we will see you down the road.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Guesthouse at The Rivery Retreat this past December, I wanted just a peaceful getaway and it was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. Finding the property was a breeze, thanks to the host’s detailed and thoughtful directions, including clear instructions for parking, which made my arrival stress-free. The grounds were stunning, with meticulously maintained landscaping that showcased the host's attention to detail. Parking was conveniently close to the guesthouse, so I didn’t have to carry my luggage far, which was a nice touch. The guesthouse itself was a haven of comfort and cleanliness. Motion-sensor lights illuminated the porch at night, making my late returns feel safe and welcoming. Inside, every room—the living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom—was spotless and clearly prepared with care. It’s evident that both the host and the cleaning team take great pride in creating an inviting space. The thoughtful amenities made my stay especially memorable. The extensive movie collection, bookshelves stocked with interesting reads, and a variety of coffee and tea options gave me plenty of ways to unwind. I loved sipping my morning coffee on the private deck or enjoying the swings on the long porch, both offering serene views. The linens were wonderfully fresh and soft, adding a touch of luxury, and I appreciated the variety of pillows to suit every preference—plush, medium, firm, and more. The blackout shades in the living room were easy to raise for the breathtaking vista views for miles during the day and the peaceful rest that I needed. The outdoor amenities were equally impressive. The pool was crystal clear and impeccably maintained throughout my stay. The fireplaces, both near the guesthouse and by the pool, were easy to use, with paper, kindling, and logs thoughtfully pre-arranged for convenience. The host’s wine selection was another highlight—a curated assortment of highly rated options that meant I could enjoy an indulgent evening without needing to leave the property. When I did venture out, the host’s recommendations for local groceries, restaurants, entertainment, shopping, and wineries in Hill Country were spot-on and made exploring the area effortless. Overall, my stay at The Rivery Retreat was nothing short of exceptional. The care, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail in every aspect of my visit made it a perfect getaway. I can’t wait to return for another relaxing escape! Next time I’ll bring friends or family so they can enjoy it too!

The property grounds are really beautiful and well-kept. The location is superb; nearby everything in the city, but out in a nice neighborhood where you can clearly see the stars at night. The pool suite was the perfect size for a quick weekend getaway; large bathroom and cozy with personal touches from the owner. Had all the essentials and plenty of towels for use at the pool. There is a great book with tons of recommendations from a local’s perspective; we enjoyed every restaurant we tried and the nearby trails made for amazing walks. Speaking of owner, she is really great. Helpful, kind, and super responsive, she made our stay an even better one when we were able to add on one of their packages at the last minute while there. They offer different packages; while we only chose one, it’s clear they think of everything. We can’t wait to return and stay again! Total Gem in Austin, especially if you love the outdoors and native landscape!

This restful retreat will fill your senses with gorgeous views and comfortable surrounds near the Colorado River for a wonderful couple's getaway or for a small group. I can highly recommend. The location is tucked away, feeling removed and private, and yet you're conveniently close to downtown Austin and within hitting distance of the Hill Country Galleria (10 min drive) and Salt Lick BBQ or Hill Country winery day trips. Nina is also a superb and attentive hostess. You will not be disappointed!

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. PLEASE NOTE: The heating of the hot tub and/or pool is an extra charge but worth it. They created packages to accommodate your needs/ desires. Just inquire with them about that before you book. I loved writing in my journal with a cup of coffee in the morning then slipping into the hot tub and using the pool as a cold plunge. Highly recommend.

The Driskill - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is a luxurious hotel that has been an iconic landmark in Austin since 1886. Originally built by cattle baron Jesse Driskill, the hotel has a rich history and has hosted Texas elite and important political events over the years. The opulent property offers high-end accommodations with old-school Texas elegance, featuring vintage crown molding, desert gold and tan linens, and pearly white accents.
Guest services can get busy with multiple inbound calls. but they will answer when they get to your call every time. The rooms are spotless. The staff works hard and give 110%. Valet parking services were on time and do a great job. Don't be stingy with your tips. Not saying you need to go overboard. Just saying they are working hard to keep up with the guests request. The building is under restoration till October. But rooms and restaurant services are still on par. Breakfast has amazing croissants. I slept comfortably in their bed. The comforters are cool to lay on and just warm enough to sleep in under in a cool room. The curtains block out the light. Leaving the door open to the bathroom left the perfect amount of morning light in through the large frosted glass window over the tub. Very classy and comfortable.

The Driskill was such an amazing stay! I did not realize its historic ambiance but it was truly breathtaking. I enjoyed how close to downtown and all its attractions. It was either within walking distance or a short drive. We brought our 2 dogs and were delivered a dog bed for our pouches that arrived within 20 minutes of checking in. The valet parking was very convenient and was very speedy with getting our vehicle. I would definitely stay here again and actually planning another trip to the Driskill! Guiliana was at the front desk during most of our stay and she was always so helpful and kind!

The lobby smells like cheap air freshener. The floors on the upper floors are made of linoleum faux wood. The light fixtures on the upper floors are cheap and unattractive. Even though it is a 4 star hotel, the room has no vanity kit or robe. If you want a q-tip, shower cap or robe you must call guest services to have this brought to your room. The windows are small and dingy and the room is not pretty. The hotel overall feels dingy and cheesy. It took over a half an hour for room service to bring coffee to my room. There were no water bottles in my room on the first day. My interactions with the staff were all lovely but the hotel itself is not even near 4 star and cost a lot of money (close to $400 a night) for a “Holiday Inn” experience. I could have stayed at a significantly less expensive hotels that was new and fresh and in just as good a location. I don’t plan to return to this hotel.

Very nice haunted old hotel in Austin. They were under renovation when we stayed, but honestly I didn't really notice as we didn't have noise issues or any disruptions. Cool bank vault thing in the lobby too. The rooms were very nice, the bed was comfortable, and the bath products were great. Balcony views are nice. They provide a white noise machine in the rooms to drown out all the street noise and party people outside and it worked wonders. Yeah the ghosts did a few things to us like making noises, opening and closing the bathroom door in the middle of the night, and turning off the thermostat but it really didn't bother us. Convenient location as well. The issue for us was the staff communication. Yes, they did their best to find us an available room that worked best for us, but we ordered a tea kettle from the front desk 3 times but it never came so we gave up. We were also offered upgraded rooms for a fee from management via email and text, but if you show interest they don't "hold" the room at all. 5 minutes later you can say "I'll take it" but it's already gone which doesn't seem very fair. We also stopped by the desk the day we were leaving and the desk clerk said, "oh, we have a letter for you!" It was a welcome letter and information on our globalist benefits from Hyatt. 😒 On the day we were leaving. Not very helpful now. Housekeeping also kept showing up to clean but we had a late checkout and they said they didn't know. Maybe it's because of the renovations and things are disorganized? Not sure. If they could improve their internal communication with management, front desk, and housekeeping that would be great. I would definitely come back and stay again.

LIED TO BY MANAGER EMILY! 6.5 months ago, reserved 3 nights in one of two Lonestar Suites. Called a few times in the interim to request one particular Lonestar Suite - they noted it on our reservation. On September 26, one week prior to our visit, we received an email welcoming us to the Driskill, and confirming our Lonestar Suite reservation for 3 nights. Fast forward to Oct 3, 2025 after our flight from SEA to AUS when we checked in. Emily (who said she was a manager) told us we’d been “upgraded” to the Landmark Suite, which according to her, had an even BIGGER deck than our months prior reserved Lonestar Suite. Hubby was immediately skeptical, as he’d become extremely familiar with the room levels, and the Lonestar Suite was very important to him. We only wanted what we reserved and placed a deposit on - nothing more. Since the room was not ready, we waited in the lobby. Sitting there, we quickly went to Driskill’s website to verify room levels, and sure enough, the Landmark Suite is a DOWNGRADE. Hubby walked up to the check in desk to speak to Emily. After much back and forth, Emily FINALLY admitted we’d been downgraded because they gave our room to someone else. We decided to look at the Landmark room, in case it was near to what Emily claimed - but alas, it was tiny, with a tiny deck (we could see the massive deck of the Lonestar Suite when we peeked around the corner). It was NOT anywhere close to a suite, had an odd layout, no mini bar, and the toilet was in a glass shower enclosure - odd. We called downstairs from the tiny room, and were offered a discount. BUT, angry at having been LIED to, we quickly hopped online and were lucky enough to find the Presidential Suite at the Omni just a block away. We ended up having a wonderful anniversary weekend, despite how it started off with Emily’s lies. The Omni Presidential Suite included a hospitality lounge with hot food and drinks every evening, and an amazing hot breakfast every morning - the Driskill included none of that. The downgraded Landmark Suite MAY have been acceptable, and I would not be this upset, had Emily admitted immediately that they’d made a mistake. INSTEAD, she started off with a lie about an upgrade, likely hoping a couple of country bumpkins from Seattle wouldn’t notice. Sorry Emily, we’re a little smarter than you hoped, and now very angry. I’d say to verify your reservation should you choose to stay at the Driskill, but aparrently that does no good. DO NOT take comfort in your confirmation email you’ll receive one week prior - that also means nothing. My best advice - make your reservation and hope they don’t put you in the janitor’s closet. You’ll have no control or say so as to which room you THINK you’re getting - just throw caution to the wind and hope for the best.

I want to give a big shoutout to Giuliana at the front desk! I made the mistake of telling my 3-year-old that the hotel we were walking past was haunted -- and of course, it became all he could think about. So we went inside to ask about the Driskill's ghost stories. Giuliana greeted us and was so, so sweet, explaining the hotel's official stance that there are no ghosts, but answering all his (many) questions while kindly making sure he didn't get too scared. It was an extremely adorable experience, and we felt very well cared for. She's a rock star!

The entire building is beautiful and keeps the traditional concept. Everyone (but the doorman and bar staff) at the Victorian was so kind and professional. Doorman has no people skills. If the guest has questions at the bar/restaurant, they need to be answered. The bar staff need more customer service training. 40 dollars for 2 small drinks require undivided attention from the bar staff.
Britney R — Google review
We enjoyed our stay, but the near $200 in taxes and $65 valet fee is a bit much. I was told the heritage balcony suite was $619 and valet parking (bc there is no parking except for on the street that we saw) would be $40 when I reserved the room. There was no mention of the excessive taxes and fees that would be tacked on so that it came out to $847. I also should have asked about where the room was located, because really...since it overlooked the back ally and a portion of 6th street, and wasnt the front facing balcony overlooking brazos and 6th, we barely even went out on it. It was halloween and we had hoped to be able to people watch so that was a disappointment, an expensive one at that. Also, it is very loud, which didnt bother us, but if you are looking for a quiet place to rest up, this is not it.

Stayed for 4 nights with VIP status and it was absolutely worth it. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Plenty of lifeguards to keep your mind at ease. The resort had so much on site that you don't need to leave. My kids loved it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be back again.

I was here attending a conference and brought my kids along. The convention area was well maintained, and the bathrooms stayed clean despite heavy use. My kids spent the day at the indoor water park and arcade and had an absolute blast. Just be aware that outdoor water park only opens on weekends. Honestly, with the temps hitting over 100 degrees, I don’t think they missed out much. Staying indoors was definitely the better choice!

Our stay at Kalahari Resort in Austin was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly staff and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. The indoor water park is absolutely incredible – there’s something for everyone, from thrilling slides for the older kids to gentle splash areas for the little ones. It was clean, well-maintained, and felt very safe. The resort itself is beautiful and packed with things to do. We loved the arcade, mini golf, and all the on-site dining options. The restaurants had great food and surprisingly good variety – we never felt the need to leave the property! Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of space for the whole family to relax after a day of fun. The service throughout our stay was top-notch, and everything felt thoughtfully designed to keep guests happy and entertained. Whether you’re planning a family vacation, a weekend getaway, or even a group event, Kalahari Austin is a fantastic choice. We’re already planning our next visit!

Room was great. Service was consistently high quality. Water park is great for ~2 days for older kids/adults. Probably good for longer for smaller kids. Definitely the best indoor water park we have been to. The outdoor space was fun. I agree with others that the outdoor adventure river/ lazy river is very nice. Indoor 4 person tube rides were some of the best. Food was consistently overpriced for what you get. $300 for family of 7 at Mexican restaurant. We typically spend $150 or less. Kid meals were always $12+ for things like simple hamburger or quesadilla meal. Breakfast options were the worst with either a $30 per person buffet or go to a coffee shop for pastries. Someone mentioned bringing breakfast with us, which is what I would do next time.

This hotel was great. This was my 1st time to Austin, and I booked it based on location to where I had to be (wedding reception), just 15 minutes away. Checking in took longer than expected due to an unexpected tech issue with one of the front desk positions, but the employees were very apologetic & helpful with answers to various questions during my stay. The room was clean & comfortable. The bathroom was stocked with all necessary items. I made it down to the pool for a “quick dip” towels provided poolside. The hotel has a great Japanese restaurant attached and the food was very good along with the “included” breakfast the next morning. The reason for just 4 stars on location was due to all the road construction going on in the immediate area. I would definitely stay here again, it’s close to downtown Austin!

every year I end up in austin at least twice, and I always check this hotel first for availability. we’ve stayed here at least four times and the service, cleanliness and vibe are always impeccable. this past stay, we left a beloved personal item in the room after we checked out and I was devastated. the management actually called my husband to tell him my item was found, and now it is being quickly shipped to me. just a great hotel all around, highly recommend.

This was the first time at this property, I had two rooms, both faced the pool. The breakfast was the typical Best Western style breakfast but had an attendant that was fun, friendly, and we had everything at all times. The exercise room is absolutely fantastic for a hotel. All the staff members that we met or friendly, courteous and professional. I would say the best part about this location is its very central in all of the Ubers plus waymo can pick you up and take you anywhere you want at a very good low price. We did not eat in the restaurant but it must be good because it was slam packed Saturday night. Yes it's an older property, but it is well updated, the rooms were cozy and clean and I have absolutely no issues or complaints about this hotel. Oh yeah, seem to have plenty of parking.

It was my first visit time visiting Austin.I didn’t want to stay downtown area but close to downtown. Aiden Austin Hotel has a flair of a boutique hotel. The rooms are large. My room had a refrigerator and microwave. It’s a hidden gem. The hotel has a large sushi restaurant. The surroundings are peaceful. Service was great. Raul and Joseph at the front desk were fantastic. They both provided amazing information on Austin. The staff services during breakfast were terrific. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Sherri J — Google review
It was a funky hotel and I would stay there again if I go back to Austin. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the evening staff. It was a really nice area by the pool. The lobby was clean. I only dropped a star because my only window opened out on the pool instead of an exterior wall. I had to leave my curtains closed at all times because I didn't want people looking into my room as they walked by. Also there was no conditioner available, only shampoo.

Not sound proof at all. I was in room 230 - and when the person in the room above me was awake, I was too. The ceiling was almost shaking with each of the steps. Same was true for the gym. You could also hear the person in the room above move. So if you’re looking for a tranquil place to have a good night‘s rest, this isn’t it. Apart from that, make sure to inform front desk until noon time if you want to have housekeeping taking care of your room.

Wow! What a gem! The hotel grounds are so cool! Murals everywhere! The sushi resturant you eat free breakfast in was beautiful! Clean rooms with rocker vibe. Resort style courtyard and pool, hot tub, loungers! Love, love, love! The staff was so sweet and such great service! Highly reccomend this hotel. I would like to visit again!

I recently stayed at the Aiden Austin Hotel for a business trip and absolutely loved it! The hotel was extremely clean, neat, and had a really cool, modern vibe. There were lots of fun things to do, including a pool, hot tub, hammock area, and even a foosball table. The breakfast was delicious, and in the evening, the hotel features a sushi restaurant, which was a great bonus. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. I can’t remember the name of the gentleman who checked me in, but he took the time to explain all the hotel amenities and even provided me with a map. After I got to my room, the staff even called to make sure I had settled in and had everything I needed, which was such a nice touch. Raul, who checked me out, was also extremely nice and made the whole process smooth. I will definitely be staying here again anytime I’m in town, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique hotel experience — not your typical chain-style hotel!

The LINE Austin offers chic rooms and suites with scenic river views, along with a restaurant, outdoor pool, and yoga facilities. Situated on the banks of the Colorado River, the hotel provides a unique outdoor experience by the pool area. Guests can enjoy luxurious lounging while taking in the natural beauty of the river. Additionally, visitors can savor delectable dishes at Arlo Grey, a restaurant led by Top Chef winner Kristen Kish within the hotel premises.
We had our wedding at The LINE Hotel, and it could not have been a more perfect experience. The ballroom itself is absolutely stunning, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lady Bird Lake. It was breathtaking during our sunset ceremony and just as magical later in the evening with the glow of downtown Austin behind us. The venue included all the linens, chairs, and silverware, which were beautiful and fit the natural, elegant aesthetic we were going for. Our guests loved staying at the hotel — the room block was seamless, and the location made it so easy for everyone to explore downtown and attend our wedding events. From the moment we signed our contract, Becky, our venue coordinator, was incredible. She was accommodating, organized, and so easy to work with. She invited us to visit the ballroom multiple times to see other weddings being set up, and she connected us with several amazing vendors. One of the things we appreciated most was how attentive she was to our food allergies. Both my mom (MOB) and I have severe allergies, and Becky went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. The food was delicious — our guests are still raving about it — and the chef even created a custom potato bar that perfectly reflected what we had envisioned. No matter what our request was, Becky made it happen. She responded quickly to every email, anticipated details before we even thought of them, and made the day truly seamless. Our wedding would not have been the same without her! We can’t recommend The LINE and Becky enough — it was the most magical, stress-free, and memorable experience we could have imagined.

I recently stayed at The LINE Hotel Austin. The design and location are definitely highlights—the space is visually striking and well situated. Check-in was smooth, but no assistance was offered with luggage, which would have been appreciated. Our room showed signs of wear, including stained carpet, dusty surfaces, and dated furniture. The bathroom could benefit from updated lighting and refreshed grout to match the hotel’s modern aesthetic. The pool area had great energy, but it needed more frequent upkeep. We noticed cracked tiles, bird droppings on loungers, and used cups in the water. Pool seating could also be more accommodating for taller guests. Food and drinks were enjoyable, and Matt at the pool bar provided excellent service—he was a standout. However, there were a few service gaps, such as no side plates for shared dishes and grooming concerns at P6 that took away from the overall dining experience. Unfortunately, a hair in my room service meal and a delay in resolving it, along with a non-functional in-room phone and poor cell reception, made that part of the stay frustrating. This property has strong potential, with its bold design and great location, but some areas of service and maintenance could benefit from more attention to detail. I’d be open to returning in the future if improvements are made.

They were attentive to our needs when asked for anything. The pool was nice and cold on a hot day! The bar staff made good drinks. The taco place was BOMB! If I had anything cons to say it would be the cleaners don’t turn down the rooms until late afternoon. They didn’t replace glasses in the room and the bed wasn’t comfortable. They gave us extra pillows to make us more comfortable but it didn’t work. The shower water gets all over the floor with the half wall.

I recently stayed at The LINE Hotel in downtown Austin for a work event, and I have to say—it was an amazing experience. For folks who travel often and stay in fancy downtown hotels all over, it might not be considered the absolute best of the best. But for an old country boy like me coming into the city, this was by far the nicest place I’ve ever stayed. From the moment I walked in, everything impressed me—the room was clean and stylish, the view of the city and the lake was incredible, and the service from the staff was top notch. The food was excellent, too—great flavors and a really nice atmosphere all around. If you’re looking for a comfortable, classy place to stay in downtown Austin that still feels welcoming and down-to-earth, The LINE is a great choice. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Attended a family repast at The Line Hotel and had a wonderful experience. We rented a private ballroom/meeting space and the staff went above and beyond — attentive, kind, and professional. The lobby is absolutely fabulous, with a laid-back yet upscale vibe that really sets the tone. Everything flowed smoothly and the atmosphere made a difficult day feel more comforting. Highly recommend The Line Hotel for both events and a stylish stay.

Our stay at The Line was very good, the rooms were clean and the staff were mostly friendly. We arrived at around 6 pm. We had two rooms booked, one for my GF and I (26yo & 27yo) and another for my underage cousin (18yo). They let him know that they were going to clean out his minibar understandably but ended up emptying ours too without communicating that. In the end we waited an hour in the lobby after a long travel day even though we arrived so late. Also the shower floors are very slippery which made me slip and almost fall a few times.
Food E — Google review
The suite was not well maintained. It made me feel like it was not clean. If the hotel doesn’t maintain the room why would they care if they are cleaned properly? The king bed was on the poor side and the breakfast delivered was inedible. My husband got the diner breakfast and took tone bite of the eggs and one of the bacon and covered the meal back up and left the table. I recommend getting breakfast somewhere else. The lobby was nice and the employees were friendly. We had 2 nights booked, but left after the first night. I didn’t want to stay. They were nice enough to refund the night to me. But as I paid $500 a night for a suite, it was low quality. I will not be back.
Annie L — Google review
The location and service are great. They offer "boutique" amenities like free bike and paddle board rentals. But basic things like decent lighting in the bathroom you have to ask for a light up mirror. Lighting is weird and low. The bed is WAY too low. I wouldn't come back just because of how low the bed is.

Hotel Ella is an elegant boutique property housed in a refurbished manor house dating back to 1900. The hotel offers 47 guest rooms, including ten suites, each equipped with modern amenities such as LED flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi, and curated minibars featuring local products. The historic white Greek revival-style mansion features contemporary artwork and modern furnishings in cool tones. Guests can relax by the outdoor pool or enjoy seasonal fine dining on the wrap-around veranda overlooking the lush lawn.
The hotel was good - spacious and clean room, quiet neighbourhood, great pool. My favourite part of it was the service, especially valet parking. Joel had such a positive vibe that made my day. He was one of the kindest person I had ever met, walking us through the public parking policies of Austin. It was super helpful as it was our first time here. Would definitely visit here again!

I was fortunate enough to visit the Hotel Ella back in August. The booking phone call initiated my fabulous experience, Daniel from the front desk made booking my reservation so smooth. Daniel was also very informative about various accessibility concerns and questions I had, together we found the best options to optimize my stay. And the literal cherry on top was the COMPLETELY unnecessary but so thoughtful and gracious kind surprises that were provided to me based on an offhand mention of my birthday the same weekend of my stay. The beauty and ambiance of this historic hotel is highlighted by wonderful staff- from the front desk to the bar and even to the after hours crew. Ella’s hauntingly gorgeous face will intrigue you to book, and the service will make you stay.
Grey G — Google review
The room was very spacious. I was in 104, I had my own patio and direct access to the pool. That was great, but the stained carpet, wet dog smelling bathroom, the overhead light fixture not working, and mattress from 1986 was not. There was an event which went till approximately 930pm - yet people were in the balcony on the opposite side of the pool till well over midnight being obnoxious. If you are looking for a boutique hotel experience with some history this is for you. Looking for a quiet stay - it is not. The walls do not buffer sound whatsoever. Customer service: HUGE shout out to Isaac. What a great human; an extremely personable individual who made sure my check in and where to get dinner was set. Now….the person working overnight (who did not have on nametag) lied right to my face about my vehicle key fob and where it was, and was more concerned with flirting with the girl replacing him at 7am. The valet parking crew was great. I do not remember who it was that received my Durango at 315pm on 10/28 - but he was on it and my vehicle was exactly where he said it would be. Fabian was great too. I did see his nametag on 10/29. The location in comparison to where my conference was convenient.

I picked it because we could walk to a few things, like Bass concert Hall and some restaurants. Nice room, comfy bed. I appreciated that my charcuterie board arrived soon after we checked in, right when I was wondering about it. Valet worked out fine for our car, they could have pointed us to the front door as we did miss it upon arrival and had to double back to find it. We'd stay here again for sure, would like to stay longer actually. We would like to try the restaurant, sadly we were there on a day of the week that it was closed. Enjoy!

Hotel Ella is absolutely beautiful – from the elegant architecture to the cozy atmosphere, everything was stunning. But what really made my visit exceptional was the valet service. James and Jeremy were amazing – professional, friendly, and incredibly efficient. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and took great care of my car. Hands down the best valet service I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

We have stayed several times at Hotel Ella. Each stay is an experience of top level service. The staff is always attentive, and there is a relaxing personal formality that doesn’t compromise the high service standards. We enjoyed the pool one day during our visit (a terrific space), with six adults and two very young children in our group. The poolside wait staff kept perfect pace with us over several hours without being intrusive. She had the exact right blend of attention and unobtrusiveness for our group.

Quiet, spacious and lux-feeling rooms. Great walking distance to Moody Center, UT campus and other Capital City amenities. Aaron at Valet was top notch with knowledge of areas to drive to verses walking/scooter or ride share options. Caroline at reception provided us dining options both at the hotel and surrounding area before our stay, giving the option of assisting with recommendations or reservations. All around, exceeded our expectations for our Austin stay!

The South Congress Hotel is a trendy and chic accommodation located in the hip South Congress neighborhood of Austin. The hotel features stylish rooms and suites with a minimalist design, offering an eclectic dining experience, a rooftop pool, and bar. The spacious lobby provides several semi-private seating areas, while the lively bar is furnished with mid-century modern decor. Guests can enjoy amenities such as the his-and-hers 'love kit' in the rooms and a cool brass bottle opener to take home as a souvenir.
First off, the staff here is genuinely awesome. Check-in was smooth and whenever we had questions (like where to grab the best breakfast tacos - crucial info!), they were super helpful and friendly. You can tell they actually care about making your stay great. The room was really nice - clean, comfortable bed, and I loved the design; very stylish. Had everything we needed and the shower was actually hot with good water pressure (you know how hit or miss hotel showers can be). But honestly, the location is what makes this place special. You’re right in the middle of everything on South Congress. We walked to dinner, browsed the shops, caught some live music, and didn’t need to drive anywhere. Perfect for soaking up that weird Austin energy everyone talks about. Definitely staying here again next time we’re in town. If you’re looking for a solid place to stay in Austin that puts you right where you want to be, this is it. Worth every penny.

My wife and I stayed at South Congress Hotel as a little in-town staycation over Labor Day weekend. Based on our experience, I’d recommend room 301 specifically. That room offers a balcony, overlook of the pool shenanigans, and a view of the hill country. It’s also a very comfortable room. Only downside, the in-room fridge wasn’t working when we were there, but the front desk was happy to bring us ice. … The hotel is beautifully located to enjoy South Congress. Complimentary parking is appreciated. Room service is good, although I wish they stayed open a little later. The pool is very pleasant on a warm day. … Very good experience. Would recommend.

My husband and I used the hotel for our room block and wedding...it was the best weekend of our lives! Erin and Lexi with the event planning team were simply unreal to work with. They were responsive, efficient, and made sure to go above and beyond to make sure we had everything that we needed. There was a mechanical issue with the AC in the Milton suite that we were using to get ready in and Erin made sure that there was multiple portable ACs in the room so we weren't warm....we were actually cold, ha! She figured out a solution in 0.2 seconds and made sure we were kept in the loop. The food at the wedding was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Every guest was saying how it was incredible and came out HOT (which is a big deal, ha!). The drinks were flowing and soooo tasty. The staff who worked the wedding were kind, fast, and went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I also had drinks. Wedding cake was extremely yummy too!! The hotel's venue space was ICONIC. As a couple who live in Austin, we wanted our guests to get the Austin vibe. From the lobby, courtyard, surrounding restaurants in the hotel, hotel bar, reception space....hotel rooms...everything was perfect. The customer service at this hotel is top tier for guests staying at the hotel AND for wedding couples. I highly recommend any and all couples wanting to get married in Austin to book this space. You WILL be happy. Your guests will also love to stay here with the room block!!

I adored my stay at South Congress Hotel. The location is unbeatable - right in the heart of Austin’s most vibrant area, surrounded by great food, live music, and local shops, yet the hotel still feels calm and tucked away. The room was stylish and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that make you instantly relax. The gym and rooftop pool were a highlight. Louis was so warm and accommodating, and Franny went above and beyond to make my stay feel personal and memorable. It’s rare to find that kind of genuine hospitality. This hotel captures everything I love about Austin - creative, elevated, and welcoming. I can’t wait to come back.

Had a great stay at the South Congress Hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Loved the bar with its great selection and lively atmosphere. The common areas are very comfortable and perfect for lounging, working, or socializing. The gym is well equipped for a hotel, with Peloton bikes and fitness mirrors (I believe from Mirror or a similar brand), which was a nice touch. The pool has a relaxed, low-key vibe that we really enjoyed. Our room had a good balance of style and function. The only downside was the very dim lighting, which wasn’t ideal on a rainy Fourth of July weekend. Still, everything else more than made up for it. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of South Congress and within walking distance of great shops and restaurants. Highly recommend.

Hotel and room itself is fine, nothing special. The problem is the shower is the worst shower I've ever experienced. The water trickles out. I had to get out of the shower and grab a glass to fill at the sink to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. It's also one of those showers that just has a half glass panel so it was freezing. I had an important meeting to get to, luckily I had given myself enough time otherwise I would have been late. The response from the front desk led me to believe it is something they hear about often (I assumed it needed maintenance, we have a rain showerhead and our pressure is fine). I did their survey after the stay too and no one reached out to follow up. I travel to Austin a lot for work and there are far better hotels, they usually book me a 3-star hotel that is far superior. I happened to come in a night early and booked this on my own dime, what a waste. If you have hair or plan to shower I wouldn't book this place, plenty of other amazing options nearby.

The SCH is well located and living off of its past. Rates are premium. product is poor. Case goods and soft goods are worn and in need of renovation. Service is OK, The coffee shop (Mañana) is a shadow of its past as well. The property's physical condition is beat up. Good location - but enjoy one of the competitors in the area until this property has been properly updated - otherwise, you will surely be disappointed.

Stayed here on a Wednesday night while in town visiting family. The room was clean and the bed and sheets extremely comfortable. I have service animals. I called to make a reservation and was told they don’t accept pets or emotional support animals. I said I have Service Animals and was then asked my disability and if I had any documents I could show them that proved these are service animals, and told they don’t accept animals for my disability. According to the law businesses and other public accommodations cannot ask for proof of certification, registration, or licensing for a service animal. They can only ask two questions: 1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and 2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform? Totally illegal and hopefully a manager will see this and respond. I called on July 31, 2025 at 3:30pm and spoke with the lady that answered the phone. Management needs to step up training AND comply with the law.

The hotel features stucco walls and lush garden courtyards, creating an exclusive forest hideaway vibe within the bustling city. The rooms are decorated with ethnic fabrics and handmade furniture, reflecting its bohemian theme.
We had the most wonderful afternoon on the patio being attended to by the amazing Tiffany. She was attentive, our water glasses were never empty and she always greeted us with a smile. Three great nights in a fantastic room with balcony overlooking the pool and courtyard. Every employee was professional and pleasant. Afternoons by the pool were perfect. The Carpenter Hotel, located in a former Local 1266 Carpenters Union Hall, offers contemporary rooms with a maker aesthetic that pays homage to its carpentry roots. Developed by hospitality heavy hitters Jack Barron and architect Jen Turner, the hotel features warm woods, plush leathers, handcrafted furnishings, and woven textiles. The property boasts an award-winning restaurant, a top-notch coffee shop, and a tree-shaded ground floor pool.
This little gem is perfectly located, with a total Austin vibe. Near the incomparable ZACH Theatre, there are several unique restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. The hotel itself offers lovely amenities, including a restaurant, coffee shop, and a secluded, resort-like pool. The staff is amazing… Alex and Sailor went out of their way to help me plan a wonderful girls’ weekend with my besties from Dallas, who enjoyed a delicious taste of what makes Austin such an iconic city. A memorable time was had by all. We will definitely be back!

Stayed for a well at Carpenter Hotel. The rooms are swanky, funky and hip but practically not the most feasible - especially if you are traveling on a work trip. Besides that the hotel is very centrally located - lot of nice walking/running paths, eateries and access to downtown close by. The staff are super friendly and helpful. There is hot coffee and breakfast savories available in the morning. The pool and restaurant seems popular.

Nice-not great property. No coffee, microwave, or iron in the room and the bed is really low to the ground. You are charged for parking for each night you are there…35.00 per night! The restaurant was good but man was it expensive too! On the plus side, it was very clean, cute retro vibe, and lots of green plants. The coffee shop does have great coffee too.

The downside is paying for parking it’s pricey with the stay $75 a day. They had a small cafe with patties, coffees and sitting. The coffee was good and the lemon raspberry croissant was exquisite. We had brunch at the restaurant there on the premises while it was good I would explore other options next time. This is a great place to explore Austin from or enjoy a relaxing weekend.

Our favorite family stay in Austin! We love the pool, restaurant and coffee bar, plus being right off the trail and able to walk/bike to Butler/Alliance Park, Zilker Park, Barton Springs, great dining and so much more. Sweet team and love that parking is easy! 🤍

The Carpenter Hotel has been my favorite stay in recent memory. It's chic, but not pretentious. The food is amazing, and it's a cool hangout spot for guests and for the public. Instead of being exclusive, the vibe is to bring people together with unique events (that honestly I wish I would be in town for) and cool spaces. You can tell that the staff truly cares about the property and paying homage to the location. The pool is luscious, the grounds are beautifully kept, and everything from the high-quality, yummy-smelling shampoo and conditioner in the room to the free beverages they give you during your stay are thoughtful. Yes, you have to pay for parking, but they have a parking attendant who actually watches the garage. Also, we felt like we saved money in other ways. You don't have to check out until noon (praise! I am so sick of 10am check-out times). From 2-5pm, the restaurant offers happy hour, and the entire menu is 1/2 off. We enjoyed the crispy potatoes, gem salad, and burger with our free prosecco and it was delicious. I will dream about those potatoes, and we only paid $70 for three dishes and two drinks. Plus, the hotel doesn't charge extra for having pets. At places like a Hilton, you can't get internet or even bottles of water for free. For a boutique hotel in such a central, cool location, I don't think it gets much better. The Carpenter is really doing it better than most other places, and we loved our stay. 10/10

I really love the off-to-the-side vibes of the Carpenter. It's just got something I like, it's familiar like the public library in the town I grew up in. It's tucked away, off to the side. But it's still right near the action. The staff are bright, warm and always super friendly. This place feels sooooo ATX. Like a more chill and San Jose. Really high on the list of my picks for Austin lodging.

Nestled in the vibrant Northwest Austin district, Hyatt House Austin/Arboretum offers a delightful blend of comfort and convenience for travelers. This casual hotel features streamlined rooms and suites that come equipped with complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi, and parking. Guests can unwind by the outdoor swimming pool or relax in the sauna after a day of exploring nearby attractions like The Domain shopping center.
I was very surprised about my stay here due to the previous reviews. It was really nice, clean, spacious and had a lot more amenities than previous hotels I’ve been to, would definitely recommend and will be coming back. Me and my boyfriend were very impressed with the cleanliness. Breakfast was average but it’s just like any hotel but still good.
Michelle P — Google review
We chose Hyatt House since it was pretty close to the Domain. When we arrived front of hotel was easy to find. I asked for an upgrade but none were available. Check in time was 3pm. I checked in at 4pm. I was told to give them about 15 minutes to finish cleaning up our room. I waited the 15 minutes then proceeded to the room. Outside was a bit sketchy and dirty. Cigarette butts all over and sketchy people standing around. I got to my room and found the housekeepers still cleaning. I waited another 15 minutes standing in the hallway with my luggage. They were trying to rush. The overall smell of the entrance wasn't pleasant it smelled damp and swampy. Once we got into our room things started looking up! There was a nice little kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator. Room was clean. TV was on a rotating swivel so you can either watch TV in living room or bedroom. Not BOTH! Bed was comfy, plenty of pillows. Couch bed was horrible but most are. We had a horrible time with our key! Both cards didn't work to let us in the room. Finally we for working keys. We called front desk to ask for another blanket and she said she couldn't help us as she was the only one there and couldn't leave the desk. We had to walk down to the office to get another blanket ourselves. Location is pretty close to the Domain so location is great. Wheelchair accessible however when using the wheelchair ramp door make sure your keys work. Our newly working keys didn't let us into the wheelchair accessible door.

there was 3 of us that stayed in a room that had 2 full size beds & the room was very clean & spacious. the employees were very nice whether it was on the phone or in person. we only stayed one night, but our stay was great. i only gave it a 4 star, bc the only thing that was wrong w the room was that the a/c wasn’t the greatest & there wasn’t a lot of air flow, but it was doable. the parking was great & navigating around the hotel was easy. definitely recommend!

Five stars for the kindness and helpfulness of the women at the front desk, but I did not want to deceive others into staying here by putting five stars on the overall review… This place is dingy and not maintained. I checked in and promptly left the next morning. Every vent or return duct that I walked past had copious amounts of dust, and several of them, actual mold and mildew. The room itself looks like it had at least 10 different projects that were started and not finished to try and maintain the space. The final straw for me was the constant noise and people outside the room to the point that I felt uncomfortable and slept with several pieces of the furniture in the room pushed in front of the door because I did not feel safe or comfortable. At a different Hyatt property now and had an amazing night sleep, so please check out other options in the area if you can’t afford to/is an option.
J J — Google review
I was worried by many of the latest negative reviews but it turned out to be decent. We stayed here 3 nights. No bugs, clean bed and a small kitchen. The carpet and amenities do show some age but not as bad as some of the reviews saying. The suite is roomy. The breakfast is good. The staff are friendly and helpful. I hope the pool has covered area and a jacuzzi.
Anthony Z — Google review
Looks like this hotel is getting some undeserved reviews. Yes, the hallways are a little creepy. The lighting is a little dim as well. But I didn't have any cleanliness issues, nor were there any funky smells. My room was perfectly prepared. Lights all worked. Smelled fine. Looked clean. I was comfy on the bed and couch. The breakfast had French toast, sausage patties, egg, yogurt, milk, coffee, tea, syrup, jam. It was good. All the workers I came into contact with were friendly.
Tommy — Google review
Kitchen is nice, bed is great, sofa is great. What isn't great is how unquiet the hotel is. The windows don't do a good job of keeping the outside noises outside, so people driving around and slamming doors, and starting loud engines (like motorcycles) get right into your room. We were here for 7 nights, the second night we were there I was woken up at 2 am by what sounded like a herd of elephants. I called front desk at about 2:30 am (who knows, maybe they just got in, I've been there, if they stopped I would've let it be), they got quiet for a bit, and then started stomping around even louder. I called front desk again at 4 am, and they said they were going to kick them out (must've been multiple complaints). By 5 am it was finally quiet again. The rest of the nights it was quieter, but still quite loud for a Hyatt. It's an older hotel, and you can tell they've been boxed into the old bones with the room design that's obviously been remodeled. It's not bad, but the ceilings, especially in the bathroom, are very low. Overall, like all Hyatt properties, it's in an excellent location, with a very comfortable bed, a Chromecast (major Hyatt selling point to me) on the TV, and clean rooms. It does need a bit of work to fix the small things that make it not perfect, but it is still nice.
David S — Google review
This was a very disappointing experience in a Hyatt hotel. I never expected this kind of service. The room had many issues, one was the terrible noise of the A/C, also the room was not cleaned in a good way. The toilet had a very strange black stain, not sure what it was, so awful. The hotel looks so old and without the proper maintenance. My deeply recommendation is to do not go there. In fact, I put a hard complain as soon as I saw the terrible room, and they took a complete day until to move me and my wife to another room, bigger, but the damage was done. At the end, solutions could be taken prior the problem, mainly when you know your business weaknesses. So sad about this experience, considering during that trip we visited around 6 hotels, and the other 5 were so good.

Its prime location allows easy access to the city's top attractions while providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. Guests rave about the warm hospitality they receive upon arrival, with friendly staff members who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience.
This was a great place to stay at outside of Austin for a concert. Staff was friendly and kind, the room was very comfortable with a nice view. My only negative Takeaway is the location in relation to the highway (it's a little tricky to get out of) other than that, would love to stay again!

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. We were checked in by Fox and she was absolutely amazing. She was very welcoming and made our stay so much better. We also dealt with Cesar the next day and he was super nice as well. As far as the hotel goes, no complains. It was clean, updated, nice smell throughout. Overall a great option for the price. Shoutout to Fox!

Very clean hotel! Customer service was good, check-in was seamless. The rooms were nice & spacious. Breakfast served hot, with plenty of variety to choose from. I would definitely recommend for a nice, comfortable stay.

Lot of people complaining about every single thing! If you are at a hotel, leave the door with the door stopper before you go to sleep! Also, if you are so picky, get a door stop alarm! I mean, why people is always complaining? It’s a HOTEL! Get your own place or better yet, stay at home. We had a pleasant night, no complains at all. For the price, I think it’s good. People wants a 5 star hotel for $100. Come on…

I'm taking a shower, my wife taking a nap and a guy comes into our room at 8:30am. Check out is 12pm.. I don't care if u knocked. my wife is a sleep. Don't check if people have left at 8:30am. All you are doing is pissing guests off by being impatient. That man could have done something inappropriate and your hotel would be liable. Or be accused of. Think about that before you impatiently let employees check if guests have checked out that early. It was 8:30am not 12pm . No excuse. Also after I told Cheyenne, another housekeeper walked in at 9am. I don't need to put a DND sign when check out is 12pm and I let FD know what happened. there's no communication between FD and HSK.. Management needs to address this before something happens because apparently reading the reviews this isn't the first time..At 11am I wouldn't mind so much but 2 times before 9am and it looks like you're kicking guests out at any costs. And that's not being hospitable . No excuses

The Austin Motel is a unique 1938 motor lodge with individually decorated rooms and a distinctive kidney-shaped pool. The motel's iconic red marquee and ever-changing quips have made it a popular spot for tourists and locals to capture on Instagram. However, the real highlight of this quirky South Congress hotel is its retro pool area, complete with red-and-white umbrellas reminiscent of a peppermint candy.
I had such a wonderful experience at the Austin Motel souvenir shop, thanks to Mattie! She provided exceptional customer service that made our visit truly memorable. My friends and I stopped by the shop, and one of them was experiencing Austin for the first time. Mattie went above and beyond to make them feel welcome and special. She was incredibly sweet, personable, and took the time to share interesting details about the items in the shop. Her genuine enthusiasm for Austin's culture shone through in every interaction, making the shopping experience feel personal and authentic. Mattie's warm personality and attentive service perfectly represented the friendly spirit of Austin. She helped create lasting memories for my friend's first visit to the city. If you're stopping by the Austin Motel shop, be sure to say hello to Mattie - she's a true gem! Thank you for making our visit so special, Mattie!

I love this motel! Yes, the retro style is done right. (I couldn’t stop taking photos of the courtyard). But the welcoming and downright COOL staff is what will bring me back. I wanted to find an affordable yet stylish place that exhibited the Austin personality and I found it! It’s laidback, beautiful and unpretentious. Go there!… and don’t forget brunch at the attached restaurant “Joanne’s”. The food is divine!

A quirky Austin gem for the whole family Right, so we just got back from a cracking stay at the Austin Motel, and honestly, it was an absolute delight. As a family, we're always on the hunt for places with a bit of character, and this spot absolutely delivered. First off, its retro-chic vibe is just super charming. You really do feel like you've zipped back to the '80s, but in the best possible way. It's a proper escape from the usual humdrum of modern city life, despite being right in the thick of things. Location-wise, it's brilliant – really close to the city centre and nestled in a rather trendy part of town. Plus, and this is always a win for families, they offer free parking, which is a definite bonus. The staff couldn't have been friendlier, and we were quite impressed with their rather clever messaging system before and after check-in; it made everything super smooth. One of the highlights for us was stumbling upon their full moon pool party. What a laugh! The kids (and us, to be fair) had an absolute blast splashing about. And for the most important bit, especially after a busy day of exploring: the beds were incredibly comfortable. We were in a building out back, and it was wonderfully quiet, ensuring a truly relaxing night's sleep for everyone. All in all, the Austin Motel is a unique little find, and we'd genuinely recommend it for families looking for something a bit different.

Austin Motel – Funky and Fun Vibes Didn’t stay the night, but had to stop in and check out the lobby and gift shop—glad I did. The whole place has that perfect retro-Austin charm. Picked up a great ashtray and could’ve easily walked out with a bag full of quirky souvenirs. Super cool spot just to browse and soak in the vibe. Definitely worth popping into even if you’re not staying there!

Great funky motel. The customer service is amazing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable. Prices are very reasonable. The location is great off of South Congress. Near by places to eat and shop. Fun place to check out.

I called about a missing item that we have been looking for since our stay. We realized that we might have left them there after a series of travel. When I asked the front desk over the phone, I described the item, told her the date, which was about 2 weeks ago. She asked what I was looking for, I gave her a description of my super cool earrings and the date I stayed, which was just two weeks ago. Her response, "oooo that was a long time ago" (it's been two weeks) And proceeded to tell me within 15 seconds she has checked the lost and found long and they don't have anything of that description from the entire month of August... That was really quick and short and I'm pretty sure she's wearing them! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

An Austin GEM! Located in one of the coolest, most walkable neighborhoods in Austin. Minutes from the capital, Barton Springs, Zilker Park and 6th Street. Every member of the team was absolutely wonderful, especially Caity who helped me graciously get into my room a couple hours early after being on the road for a few days. The room was one of a kind. The bed super comfortable. The walk in shower as large and the products lovely. The grounds were exceptional. Every single inch was designed and curated with lush plants and cactus. Plenty of places to lounge. Sprayers during the heat of Austin summers to keep you cool. The vintage kidney shaped pool was so cool. Overlooking south Congress with a great bar, cabanas and loungers. If you come to Wustin, you must stay here. There is nothing else like it. Totally one of a kind.

Hotel Saint Cecilia is a unique retreat located on a secluded estate, offering art-inspired suites, bungalows, and studios. The property pays homage to the 1960s and 70s rock music scene and is named after the patron saint of music and poetry. Unlike its sister properties, it maintains an exclusive atmosphere for guests and club members at its lounge with a Parisian-cafe-style patio.
Fantastic hotel. Definitely my go to in Austin from now on. We stayed in a bungalow with 3 people. The king bed was spacious and one of us slept on the very comfortable couch in a separate room in the bungalow. The bathroom shower and tub were oversized and truly amazing. A huge plus for me. The rooms, and overall vibe, is very much a boutique hotel. Original art in the room. Artsy feel. That being said the service (including room service) is top notch. The Lounge with food is part outdoor and indoor and is open only to hotel guests, so not crowded. The grounds are green and peaceful… kind of an oasis a block from the busy Congress Ave shops and nightlife. This is not the place for you if you expect a big fancy corporate hotel. It is for you if you want a unique and boutique experience with high end food, service, and a great walkable location.

Shoutout to the entire staff for being so warm and welcoming . This hotel is gorgeous. We stayed one night and hope to stay again when we are back in Austin. The hotel worked with local florist Antonio bond to create a magical arrangement for my room .

Chris the GM is excellent, personally called to take care of something on our behalf - greatly appreciate it, looking forward to our time at the Hotel. Ryan at the front desk was very helpful too. Bar tenders were phenomenal - Josh brought out an excellent clarified / milk-washed cocktail. Highly recommend.

Seems like a very nice property and was seriously considering a stay until I ran into a common issue with parking information. Unfortunately, parking information is suspiciously missing on their website directly. Potential future customers must somehow navigate to a secret menu via the Hyatt website to obtain this information. I somehow accidentally stumbled upon this menu with their parking included. One of the biggest issues with discovery on redirected hotel sites. Here's part of what the this menu states, "Availability for parking in our lot is not guaranteed, but alternative options include paid street parking and paid parking next door at Arlyn Studios, 200 Academy Drive." Haven't stayed here and am a hard out based primarily on no guaranteed on-site parking. For most of us who live here in Texas, we usually drive to destinations within the state. So, on-site parking is a must. So, transparency on parking and any associated parking fees will always be a requirement of this avid traveler. At these rates, can't image having to potentially park my vehicle on the street wherever, then not knowing how far I'll have to walk to get to and from vehicle. It begs the question, how does a property of this caliber not know ahead of time if they'll have available on-site parking for their guests?
Leon L — Google review
This place is a gem and deserves all the accolades. The staff is incredible - Tara, Sasha, the lovely bartender with red hair whose name I am forgetting, and truly everyone I interacted with was attentive, kind, warm, and made no request feel too big or too small. Even though the hotel is right in the mix on South Congress, you will find it difficult to leave this place. The food and drinks were yummy and the special delight was the well-stocked in-room minibar and "minispa" (which I only discovered at checkout but still managed to peruse before leaving.) Treat yourself to something special from the retail shop - they have a perfectly curated selection of delights. We stayed in Suite 2 which overlooked the patio from a balcony on the main house, so we felt like we were in the mix but also had our little perch above it all. Thank you, Cecilia team, for your genuine hospitality and care for your craft. It shows!

I don’t even know where to begin, other than, do your research. They were atrocious. Start to finish. I don’t know if it was because it was after a busy weekend, or what. I showed up with my son, paid top dollar and won’t be returning. Spend your money elsewhere.
