I came here for my first dinner with my friends. My sister and my friends booked a table at 9.30pm as it was the only time available. The interior of the restaurant is beautifully decorated and every table is full of customers. We ordered 2 bottles of wine and all the dishes we ordered were shared style as we wanted to try many different dishes. All the dishes were delicious, with good quality ingredients and beautifully presented. Our server, Sterling, was very attentive and Also was the manager and all service team. Everyone very nice. I am not surprised that this restaurant is so popular. We very enjoy and good time to spend at Jeffrey’s & Josephine house. Thank you your wonderful experience here. Highly recommend for dating too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a hidden gem. In business since 1975. The experience is always first rate. Delicious food, amazing wine and cocktails, super chill ambience, impeccable service. Never lets you down. Open later than most. Better food than the rest.

Everything at Jeffrey’s was phenomenal. From the moment we arrived to the nicest and kindest valet you could ask for to the tea after dessert, no moment was less than spectacular. The popover bread with their ricotta and honey spread was DIVINE. The popcorn, which is served at the bar but you can get it at the dinner table, was so delicious! I ordered the truffle deviled eggs and they were amazing! The truffle is strong, but not overly so. If you don’t like truffle you may not be a huge fan because you definitely taste it. Then for the entrees. Oh the entrees! I have never had a better steak in my life. Never. And I have had a lot of steak. I don’t think that I will ever find a better one. I had the Legacy La Grange, Texas 12oz New York Strip and my husband got the Dean & Peele Floresville, Texas 8oz Tenderloin Filet. Both were perfectly cooked, perfectly prepared, perfectly presented. Perfect, perfect, perfect. We both got the onion ring on top and I got the Garlic and Rosemary Butter. I could go on for hours about these steaks, but the sides, they deserve all the praise too. We both got the steak fries and pommes puree. They were heavenly. I don’t know what they do to make those potatoes so smooth and delicious but I don’t think there is a better side dish out there. Then we finished with some in house made vanilla bean ice cream with house made whipped cream. It was exactly what we needed. Not to heavy but absolutely delicious. I also got a chamomile and lavender tea after diner and it was heavenly. The service was impeccable and the drinks were strong. All adding to the overall wonderful experience. Our server was very friendly and kind, her name was Megan. She is a rockstar! Such an incredible experience. All of it, everything. 10/10, 5 stars, no notes. Do yourself a favor and just go yourself so you can enjoy this one of kind gem.

Really nice staff but I don’t get the hype. I found the appetizers to be fairly flavorless and overpriced, and the steak at Perry’s is better (and of course way better value). The only outstanding dish was the broccoli side.

I’m a Houston partisan and it is very difficult to admit this but if I was given a choice to eat anywhere in the state, it would be here. The service is so professional. Anything you want, however you want it, they are happy to accommodate. For a table of 4, we decided to split a bunch of apps and then a sliced up porterhouse. It was perfect for the table. Pro tip: ask for au poivre sauce for the steak. So good. It’s a difficult reservation, need to plan a couple of weeks in advance, but so well worth it.

From valet to final exit, this was the best dining experience I’ve had in years. I tend to be quite critical and notice everything—having spent some time in the industry myself—but Jeffrey’s exceeded every expectation and raised the bar once again. Carlos was our server, and he (along with the entire team) went above and beyond for us tonight. This was my husband’s second visit and my first; after weeks of hearing about his previous experience, I can now say he was 100% right! I highly recommend requesting Carlos. He paid attention to every detail and asked subtle, thoughtful questions to personalize our evening. He didn’t miss a beat and even took our valet tag ahead of time so our car was waiting for us as we checked out—an incredible finishing touch. The entire staff was attentive, pleasant, and clearly supportive of one another. This team takes genuine pride in what they do, and it makes all the difference. The food came out in perfect order, even with a late reservation—compliments to the BOH for their flawless execution. This was such a treat; we can’t wait to return—hopefully sooner (and earlier!) than later. Thank you again, Carlos and Jeffrey's team, until next time!

Wow, wow, WOW! Sure, Jeffrey’s is known as a steakhouse but they’ve truly created an experience that appeals to everyone, even vegans like us! The ambiance in the cozy couch-area dining room made for such a romantic night. Our server, Sergio, was an absolute delight. You can tell he’s appreciated and happy to be there, because that warmth radiated in the way he treated us. His knowledge and passion for wine set the tone for an unforgettable evening. And the cherry on top? The incredible manager, Jovana, who went above and beyond to make sure our night was perfect. Her and chef customized a menu tailored just for our needs that was full of seasonal vegetables and delicious rare mushrooms. Thank you, Jeffrey’s, for an experience we’ll never forget. Just above average experience. 2.5 stars seems about right, 3 is slightly too generous, 2 is too low. Had booked a few weeks in advance and excited about the meal. Ordered the prime bone in ribeye or "Cote de boeuf". I requested medium rare, which I thought was reasonable. The server proceeded to ask if I wanted it more pink or red. It confused me a little and wasn't sure if a pantone colour was needed. I was thinking just tell the chef med rare. I wish I did The steak seemed medium well. A bit dry and tough, seasoning was also lacking. It was ok, but what I was expecting for a $100 steak ($89+tax). Unmemorable just like the stick of carrot and potatoes. Leftover score: 5/10 Average again

Stopped by Bob’s tonight to pickup a little dessert. I know it sounds crazy, going to a steakhouse to pickup dessert but Bob’s has one of the best carrot cakes in country. The slice that we picked up didn’t disappoint, it was well worth the trip and price.

I’ve now tried three of the big steakhouse chains in Downtown Austin- Ruth’s Chris, Capital, Bobs. Hands down Bobs was best. Steak cooked perfectly. Arrived quickly. Great ambiance, super professional staff. Serina the bartender was first rate. Friendly, professional, and clearly liked her job. Made me feel welcome. Steak price might look a few dollars higher but includes a side and a caramelized giant carrot (sounds weird but it’s awesome) so with a side a much better value than the others. Plus I love a good Gin and Tonic and Bobs is the only one of the three that bothers to use Fever Tree premium Tonic. The other two use whatever comes out of the “gun”. I’ll be back for sure.

Absolutely incredible bread pudding. Stopped in specifically for dessert based on a recommendation of someone who frequently stops by the for the same. Drinks were wonderful. The Bread Pudding is out of this world.

Have to say very disappointed in the quality of the steaks and sides. Went for our anniversary. We had been regular at Bob's when our office was located downtown and typically have enjoyed it but the past couple of times it has really gone down hill. First off the service and drinks were outstanding and had not issues with the service and frankly was the only thing that made the night. But our steaks were not good, very thin and quality was horrible. It was cooked to temperature but with the quality of meat could have done a better job just buying something and cooking them at home. The sides were nothing to write home about either. Specifically the creamed spinach was the worst we have ever had. There was very little spinach and mostly just cream sauce.

My boyfriend and I came in on a Friday night to grab a quick drink on the patio. We were going down the stairs to leave and a waiter with long-ish brown hair and tattoos shoved past me, almost knocking me down the stairs. He didn’t say excuse me or anything of the sort. I would expect more from a high end steakhouse. All the other servers did their best to be professional and welcoming.

We have visited Bobs 5 times within the last month. Our visit on 10.31.25 was amazing. The meatballs were delicious! Am looking forward to our next visit!

Just wanted to update this review - I still would give it the 2 stars based upon that night, however, I wanted to add that I sincerely appreciated the owner reaching out, and listening to the issues we had - and trying to correct it. She truly couldn't apologize enough - and it meant the world to me. We were thinking of checking out Vince Young's for a long time, but usually go to other steakhouses with our fav being Capital Grille. It was my son's birthday so we decided to try something different. The restaurant was pretty empty and our waiter was very knowledgeable- which works well for me since I have some major food restrictions as does my son. We ordered the pork belly and bone marrow appetizers as well as the fresh 'parker house' rolls (the bread of the night). The rolls were not what I would consider parker house, and were too yeasty - I'm big on bread and love fresh bread, but not these rolls. The pork belly was juicy and delicious - my son and husband really enjoyed it. Wish I could say the same for the marrow. It was not charred or cooked enough and didn't spread well or have a good consistency. It also didn't have much flavor other than salt (which was heavily used on all the food). My husband had to go and find our waiter - he didn't come up to make sure all was well when the food arrived. He took it back and had it broiled some more, but it still was not good. We ordered the hand cut fries (they came out hot - and were good, but also too salty), the tomahawk for two (very fatty and grisly - and not in a good way - plus way salty), and I had the salmon. The steak - for that price, should have been better quality and cut at the table. The salmon was ok - would have preferred with skin crisped and on, but again it was salty and when a menu says 'red pepper' sauce, I assumed it would be roasted red pepper, not HOT pepper. The heat in the sauce overwhelmed the taste of the salmon. Dessert - my son is very picky and didn't want the raspberry on top of his creme brulee, and wasn't sure about the grand marnier either - but we were told that the liquor was very light and the fruit could be removed . Honestly - had the dessert items been updated on the webpage, we may not have even gone because none sounded great to me and my son just wanted a normal creme brûlée. Unfortunately, There were raspberries in the custard, which should not have been there - and he was NOT happy about it. My husband got the frozen banana pudding, which he liked, but I didn't. The waiter did apologize for the mix up on the creme brûlée and comped both desserts - and overall was good other than having to find him. One other note, good music - but way too loud.

Everything about this place was amazing especially our server Scott who hooked us up with a special dessert for our anniversary and a 10% discount. We had the bone marrow, the bone-in ribeye, and the Brussels Sprouts.

I got ribeye and my friend got a NY steak. We both got medium rare. My ribeye was a little chewy but the NY steak was so soft. Shrimp grantin was good and the sides were okay.

We went here some time ago and it was a great place to go for a date. All around wonderful experience. Our meals and the service were both excellent. We hope to visit again.

Took my son for an end of the summer meal. He had the 12 oz filet mignon and I had the wagyu beef brisket burger. Both were excellent choices. The food tasted great and cooked to perfection. Worth the price. Downtown charm and Texas portions.

This was our first time at Steiner Ranch Steakhouse. We made reservations for our anniversary in advance. We arrived 10 minutes early, there was several young ladies standing at the check-in counter, we were told us they would sit us shortly. They call us and proceed to sit us at a table right next to servers station that has the frosted wall, the young lady put down our anniversary card as we are being seated. There was one other table occupied right next to us. We could hear all the servers behind the frosted wall talking and dishes clanking, so that was not a good start. As soon as our server came to the table we asked if we could be moved to a different table. He so graciously moved us next to the fireplace and piano. Our waiter was great, my husbands steak was delicious. My pasta was just ok, it had way too much oil. The fried asparagus was really good. We were given a dessert in celebration of our anniversary, that was very nice! After the hiccup in the beginning, everything else was good. The view of Lake Travis and the sunset was beautiful!

This place is beautiful, but the food is not fantastic. We really wanted to love this place the veiws were breathtaking. But so many in our table returned their meat it was embarrassing. The drinks were just ok, and the deserts were mid at best. We would not come back unfortunately. Perry's steakhouse is 10 levels better for the price.

We ate here with a group of friends. It was a Tuesday night and the restaurant wasn't busy and we were seated at an outside table right away. Our waitperson, JJ, was on top of everything and very punctual and astute to our needs. I had the chicken fried elk and my wife had the salmon florentine. The elk was very good, with a deep, meaty, rich taste. The portion was quite large. Side dishes were mashed potatoes and green beans. Neither side dish was up to par with the entree. Beans were bland and a bit undercooked and the mashed potatoes might have just as well come from a mix. My wife's salmon was very good. She said the shrimp on top were also very tasty. The cheesy rice as a side was good, but the green beans were bland and under cooked. Our meal was expensive, but very good, however, I'm not too sure that we would repeat the experience.

We had traveled to Austin to do some shopping and afterwards we decided to stop for dinner. I told my husband I was in the mood for steak. We googled to see what was close- and bam The Steiner Ranch Steakhouse was the one we selected based on our location. We showed up as we were and immediately realized we probably were underdressed however, they seated us within 5 minutes and the whole night was perfect. From the amazing service by Chase our server and the other staff bringing us drinks and checking on us as well as Manny the manager bringing out the whiskey cart for my husband and special tequila for me and presenting my AMAZING A5 Wagyu 8oz steak with certificate while it was raw to make sure I liked it… the whole night was perfect. There was a pianist playing next to us on a grand piano since we were seated indoors. They did have live music on the patio. My husband had the ribeye special and it was also incredible with jumbo bacon wrapped shrimp. We both had asparagus and he had some incredible loaded potatoes with pork belly. We left there feeling completely spoiled. What a perfect night thank you for such a wonderful surprise of an evening!

I've eaten alot of steaks in my time. Never had a steak that I could of eaten with a spoon!!! The French onion soup was also good. They had the best bread ,homemade iam sure. Amazing setting and service. If I ever come back to Austin ill will be back.

We had a beautiful date night at Steiner Ranch Steakhouse. We got seated right away, had amazing service from JJ, followed JJ’s food recommendations and had delicious food. To top it off, the sunset view was spectacular! We would definitely go back for another date night!

Steiner was perfect for our night out. Great food, beautiful view. should of sat outside but its ok because our server Pom made up for it. the Cobia was great. Will return.

We came here for our anniversary and wow everything was just so good. The steak was super tender and flavorful, and the appetizers were delicious too. The vibe was really nice and cozy, and the lighting made it easy to take great photos. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but totally worth it for a special night out. Would definitely come back

Great atmosphere and friendly, attentive, prompt service. They have a few small private rooms you can book for a business dinner. All the food and drinks were good and they have a unique bourbon selection.

Completely exceeded my expectations! My husband brought me here for my birthday and invited a few friends to join us. First- the food— the best I have had all year, maybe EVER! The ahi tuna appetizer was so freaking good and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like sushi! The beef appetizer was the most tender thing I have tasted. The steaks were amazing- and we’re told they are the top in the country. I ordered the Texas Redfish and it was delicious and so filling! My friend ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and she said it was the best she ever had. Our server, Seb (I think) was amazing and super kind and charismatic. The general manager Earnest personally greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed and even gave us appetizers to try! We had a private room and we couldn’t hear anything outside the room. The desert was amazing and I was able to sample the chocolate cake, the bread pudding (my favorite) and the pecan cake! OMG my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I used to love Trulucks but III Forks is my new favorite restaurant!

The food was a bit disappointing… I came here twice before once a while ago and again recently. I got the gnocchi, bone marrow risotto and the burrata appetiser. The gnocci was very rich, bone marrow was extremely oily and slight salty. BUT the burrata was DELCIOUS. Portion size is also very generous. Overall a decent place. Good atmosphere and service.

Wonderful overall dining experience. The food was delicious. The bone marrow is succulent and the shallot butter is great compliment. The garlic bread it is served with is on crunchy fresh sourdough. The squash blossoms are nicely fried but could use more ricotta. The blue crab pasta has substantial crab and the butter sauce is flavorful without overpowering the nicely al dente pasta. The Gnocchi melts in your mouth and the cheesy sauce is impeccable. The chocolate lava cake is very chocolatey but not overwhelming hazelnutty and has a little bit of peanut butter in the middle. Our waitress Brandy was wonderfully helpful and took amazing care

Difficult to find an open reservation here, so make sure to book ahead of time! We went in at 8:30 and the restaurant was still completely full — don’t try your luck, make a reservation. The food was absolutely worth the wait. The bone marrow is amazing and a must-try — it comes with two pieces of bread and a rich mushroom sauce, both fantastic. The beef tartare was okay. Lobster spaghetti is really good too - the portion is generous, the seafood is fresh, and the flavor is perfectly balanced — not too salty or creamy, which I love. For dessert, we had the tiramisu (incredibly rich and creamy, probably the thickest I’ve ever had!) and the chocolate brandy gelato, which was also excellent. Highly recommend this place — just make sure to plan ahead!

One of the best steaks I’ve had, not just in Austin, but anywhere. The pasta was amazing and flavorful. The bread is a must. I went for my birthday and it was such a great experience. The service was friendly and prompt. You get a lot for what you pay for. It may be hard to get a reservation but it’s well worth the wait.

A huge disappointment. Definitely not worth waiting three months for a reservation. The Aperol Spritz was completely flat please, if you consider yourself an Italian restaurant, at least Google how to make a proper one. The food was very mediocre: the beef carpaccio had no taste other than salt, and the white crab pasta was far too spicy and oily — it felt like I was eating just oil. The only highlights were the tiramisu, which was delicious, and the tuna crudo, which was fine. Overall, don’t waste your time waiting for a reservation here.

You have to make reservations in advance. The atmosphere was great. We dressed up but there were people who didn't as well. The food is quite pricy but vert good. The servers were attentive and knows their menu. Great place for date night or to celebrate something.

The atmosphere was lively and the service was excellent. Our server was super kind and attentive. It was a bit noisy, but still fine for conversation. Our table in particular was a bit too close to the next one. It was not too bad, but a little uncomfortable. The Red Snapper Crudo was great, but both the Bone Marrow & Mushroom Risotto and the Agnolotti pasta were too salty for us. Overall, great service and vibe, though the food wasn’t quite to our taste.

Perhaps the best steakhouse in Austin. Seriously. Independent. None of that fake corporate feel of the big steak chain restaurants. And a substantially better steak. We had the grass fed bone in New York and it was spot on perfect.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Jeff, our server, for his exceptional service. Upon my return, I would be delighted to have him serve me again. He recommended an exquisite wine and dessert for my birthday celebration. The cuisine here is of the highest caliber, with perfectly cooked steaks that were seasoned to perfection. Every dish, from the fried mushrooms to the main course, was flavorful and well-prepared. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely return.

Definitely a 4 star type restaurant but the extrè came with one side instead of a la carte. I have been to more expensive restaurants with nore flamboyant presentations. My food was excellent. I had the Grilled Pork Chops. They were moist not dry. The Chili glaze was slightly spicy, but paired nicely with the pork. The Basalmic Dijon Brussel Spouts were also very good. Others in my party had Chicken Fried steak, Lobster tail, Surf and Turf, Steaks and Wedge salad. All said they were very good. $$$ we averaged $120 per person including each of us had a drink. Nice subdued atmosphere.

I got the porterhouse, wife got the ribeye. All cooked and seasoned perfectly. Basically we got to try 3 different steaks, and it was incredible. Baked potato was good, cream corn was good but spicy, and we kind of wish the brussel sprouts were cooked a little more, but overall an excellent meal.

Went here for my birthday recently and was blown away!! The Ribeye was fantastic and the sauce flight is a MUST. Staff was great as well. Let me pick any desert for free and even gifted me their signature seasoning! Highly recommend. 🙌🏻

Amazing experience at ALC Steaks! The service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. The grilled buffalo lamb chops were absolutely incredible—tender, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. One of the best meals I’ve had in Austin. Highly recommend!

First time here although I've driven by for so many years. First visit was casual and at the bar. Didn't sample much but loved it. Will definitely be back.

This might say more about me than Lonesome Dove because I wasn’t a fan and maybe that’s because I eat out too much in too many different restaurants. I don’t normally score this low, but my expectations were pretty high because I LOVE the Lonesome Dove book and series. This restaurant is not based on that story from what I could tell. The good: The server was friendly and conversational, but the delays between service were significant and the traffic was pretty light. The drinks were pretty good. The not so good: There wasn’t anything that we ordered that was better than just OK. The fettine trio was cut so think that it lacked any taste. The butter lettuce had a glob of dressing on top with three small pieces of tasty pork belly on the side. The carrots were mushy and overcooked and the crispy Brussels sprouts were not crispy. We ordered the rabbit ravioli and it was also just OK. We didn’t try the steak, so maybe that would have changed our review. Or we just need to stop eating out so much…

(3.5-4 stars) We booked this restaurant for my fiancé’s birthday and because we are adventurous eaters and love to try wild game. Overall, LD stands on its own with other wild game concepts like Dai Due, and we really enjoyed most of our meal. We would definitely get the tostadas, ribs (10/10!!), and lamb chops again. Two negatives: my fiancé’s tenderloin (ordered medium rare) was very rare in the middle and freezing cold. The second gripe is a first world problem: even though we added in notes that this dinner was for a special occasion, there wasn’t any acknowledgment from the hostess or our server. We chuckled when the two tables around us were also there celebrating birthdays and got an acknowledgment from their servers 😅 Our bill was almost $400 and we both agreed that price for value wasn’t quite there. If we were ever looking for this type of food in the downtown area I could see us returning, but we’re not in any rush.

My husband and I dined here for our anniversary recently. This was hands down one of the BEST dining experiences we’ve ever had. I would highly recommend everyone try Lonesome Dove. We can’t wait to dine at their Fort Worth location next. 😋 From start to finish, we were both thoroughly impressed. The cuisine was very unique, and pleasantly delicious. The atmosphere was very warm, welcoming, and cozy. And our waitress Rachel was phenomenal. She really went above and beyond to make our experience extra special. 🤩 The cherry on top of our wonderful dinner was the - extremely heartwarming and personal - card the staff signed to celebrate our anniversary. 🥰 oh and the champagne toast as well. 🥂 Do not walk, run to Lonesome Dove for your next date night!! 😉

Very good food! The Tomahawk is all you need for two people. That was my favorite thing - The other things were okay. Service is nice, really chilled out restaurant (vibes wise).

My husband and I went here to hang out while as we waited for our ride to take us to our final Austin destination. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the happy hour area was extremely comfortable! Faith gave amazing service - she was attentive but not too over bearing. The food was delicious and the drinks were just as good! I highly recommend the Elk Sliders, the Fettine Trio, and the cinnamon churros!

My experience at Lonesome Dove was both informative, and delicious. I was surprised at their offerings, and how much is listed on their menu. I appreciated the 4 course selection, although I only opted for 2 courses. Highly recommend the lamb chomps, they were phenomenal! If I’m ever back in Austin, I would come back again. This is not just a restaurant. Had no idea it was also run by a former iron chef winner - wow! I can see why.

Service was really good, as it got busier we saw our server less and less. Some more wait staff seemed to be needed overall. Drinks were decent, $17 for a “decent” mixed drink wasn’t the best ending feeling. Food overall was good but for the price we likely wouldn’t come back when we are in Austin.

The crudo course that followed was one of the highlights. Presented with an artistic touch, the fish was impeccably fresh and balanced with light citrus notes, creamy dollops of sauce, and tender microgreens. It was light yet deeply satisfying, an excellent example of letting quality ingredients shine. Of course, no fine meal would be complete without exceptional bread, and Garrison delivered. Their house-made sourdough was served with a butter that was beautifully marbled with a hint of sweetness and tangy sauce, a simple pleasure executed with precision. The main course showcased Garrison’s expertise in meat: perfectly cooked beef that was deeply flavorful with a stunning pink center. Accompanied by beautifully crisped and piped hasselback-style potatoes and a luscious sauce, the dish felt hearty yet refined, pure satisfaction on a plate. Finally, dessert brought artistry and a playful nod to celebration. The chocolate and citrus dessert was a feast for both the eyes and the palate, combining rich chocolate, fresh orange segments, and edible flowers for a balanced, vibrant finish. A side of classic flan added an extra sweet note, smooth and perfectly caramelized. Throughout the evening, the wine pairings particularly the red Burgundy elevated the experience further, showing that Garrison not only excels at food but also at curating an overall dining journey.

If this place doesn’t have Michelin stars they are wrong! I let the waiter decide on my food. I started off with some delicious octopus with some seasoned cucumbers, grapes and amazing green sauce! Then came the Lamb before I knew it I was in food bliss with this lamb! Worth every penny but after a great meal you need the the desert my waiter chose the apple crisp that literally glittered with yummy flavors. You can go wrong with this place! I don’t normally include the bathroom experience but check the photos!

Garrison is the place to celebrate any special occasion in ATX! It’s in the Fairmont and you will need reservations. Pricey but worth it. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented with excellent service. We went to celebrate our 34th anniversary and they wowed us from the start with complementary champagne, and an amuse-bouche - all very delicious. We shared the almost Caesar salad. I had the lamb, and my husband had the grouper. Both were outstanding. We also got the sweet potato as a side dish. We finished with a cheese plate and complementary sweets. Such an amazing treat for the taste buds.

Oh my goodness, I just experienced the best meal and service in Austin! David, the Manager and all the other waiters were amazing, friendly, and super attentive. We had Strip Loin, Fried Oysters, Lion's Mane Mushroom Katsu, and Pan-roasted Grouper. Everything was cooked perfectly and sooo good! They made my birthday dinner special! Can't wait to go again!

Amazing dinner for my wife’s birthday and out. Anniversary. The service was outstanding and all courses of the meal were perfectly portioned and delightful! I highly recommend the sharable 24oz Porterhouse…. Mushroom as the side. We’ll be back!!

The only item I wasn’t impressed was the pineapple brûlée and the sourdough dough bread that’s $$. Concept was playful but it is definitely not memorable. The steak was perfect and the crispy octopus was amazing. Service was great.

Garrison! What an incredible establishment! I was lucky enough to be seated at the counter. As I watched the people work in the kitchen, I watched them do such automated tasks with such precision. As if they were surgeons using a scalpel, their attention to detail was incredible. The kitchen was on point and the organization was unimaginable. The ingredients were so fresh, so well cared for, and so well executed in their recipes. As I observed their magic, I was immediately transformed into a time of place that I couldn’t fathom. I don’t think I’ll ever remember, or will ever understand completely this experience, but I highly recommend anyone who comes to this restaurant to sit back and relax, open up their mind up and enjoy. The experience will be memorable and most importantly, legendary. HIGHLY Recommend!!

The Food was delicious, we shared two massive Tomahawks and a bunch of sides and some starters including the homemade garlic bread, bone marrow, hamachi and oysters. All were of really good quality and prepared to perfection. Our waiter was very helpful in picking our food and even recommended the steak to be cooked to a certain temperature which we would have done different but definitely did not regret listening to him as they turned out perfect. Cozy atmosphere, pretty dark generally but the tables themselves were well lit.

OUTSTANDING! Expensive, hell yes! Great Service, absolutely! Wonderful cocktails, yes! Great wine list with some really solid and affordable options, check!! Worth the visit and spend, yes every-time!!! The bone in tenderloin was amazing, as was the crab fried rice. Great atmosphere and can be super busy. We loved our visit.

J Carver is our go-to for a special night out! The food is phenomenal! One of the few places in austin with true caviar service! The lobster bisque is delicious and I almost always choose the Dover sole! Portions are very generous! And the staff is fantastic - very alert and quick to make sure everything is perfect.

This was our first time to dine at J. Carver’s. It was amazing. Ryan, our server, made the entire experience memorable. He was very patient as we asked questions. We were celebrating my mother’s birthday, which did not go unnoticed. The had a card and cake for her. Everyone, including the valet staff, was very nice. We will be returning.

Amazing quality food and extremely impressive service. You feel like the most important guest from the moment you walk in. We were so impressed and my husband immediately scheduled a business dinner there a few days after. I also wanted to say a huge thank you to the team for preparing the most delicious plain white rice and bread to go for me as my first real meal post emergency surgery.

AhhhMazing. So we check this place out because we got a recommendation from a local earlier that day. Excellent date night experience. Though it won't come cheap, you get what you pay for! We enjoyed everything! Recommend that you make a reservation. We reserved the bar seating and I'm glad that we did. The bar chairs were tall, padded, and vintage. Really comfortable. Plenty of room for our drinks and meal. We were there on a Sunday night. It was lively and full, but not loud. Upscale, 50s steakhouse vibe. Dark and romantic. Huge wine list. Steaks are aged and made to order. Oyster bar too, which we ordered a variety from. LOVED! From sweet and soft to salty and briney and somewhere in between. Their horseradish reminds me of the horseradish at St Elmo's Steakhouse in Indianapolis. You will be well cared for here. The owner of this place, also owns Red Ash. He has staff that have worked for him for over 10 years and say they always will. That is very telling. It's a great place. Highly recommend.

Sat at the bar for dinner, very comfortable atmosphere and our bartender was great! The garlic bread was the best service I've ever had! We also had the tuna, wok fried rice, and duck special. The food, service drinks were amazing highly recomend!

We had an amazing experience at Eddie V’s on Saturday! Our group of eight sat in the bar area, and from start to finish, everything was outstanding. The food was absolutely fantastic—perfectly prepared and delicious—but what really set the evening apart was the exceptional service. It was, without a doubt, some of the best I’ve received in Austin. Our server, Miguel, was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail was just right. To top it all off, the live music by Kenny Williams was phenomenal. He created the perfect vibe for the night and truly elevated the entire dining experience. Eddie V’s delivered on every level—great food, amazing service, and unforgettable music. Easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Austin!

5 stars all around! We came here to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. The food was so good, every bite was delicious and all the flavors were so well balanced and thoughtful. On top of the food being amazing, our server Gianna was an absolute gem! She was very knowledgeable about the menu including food and drinks, and her personality was charming and bubbly. If you need a good place to splurge, you will not be disappointed coming here.

Held my birthday dinner here. Booking the space and selecting the preselect menu was super easy thanks to Jo. The room and table placement was perfect for my party of 18. I loved that I was able to see and talked to all my guest without having to move from my spot. The old fashions were tasty and the food was exceptional. Thank you to our servers Matthew and another gentleman for the excellent service and attention. Definitely a top tier experience!

Outstanding Experience Every Time! I visited Eddie V’s Prime Seafood several times over the weekend, and the service was absolutely impeccable every single time. The staff were attentive, friendly, and professional — truly top-notch. The live music created such a warm, upscale atmosphere, and the wine selection was fantastic. Every visit felt special, and the bartender deserves a shout-out — excellent drinks, great sense of humor, and just the right personal touch that makes you want to stay all night. Eddie V’s never disappoints — consistently amazing food, music, and vibes. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Absolutely delicious. The oysters were fresh with no grit, the sashimi perfectly seasoned. The filet mignon was smooth, buttery, and light. The Hope Diamond cocktail packed a uniquely flavorful punch, which was greatly appreciated. Lovely environment, smooth jazz enveloped the room as diners enjoyed their courses.

We had a fantastic meal here on our last night in Austin, we went straight in for mains as we don't have the biggest appetites - my wife had the halibut special and I had the Ahi tuna, both were amazing and so were the sides. The service was brilliant and we got a complimentary mixed desert. We walked in with no reservation and got seated straight away, but we did arrive after the peak time. We highly recommend eating here if you're in town.

Amazing food; especially love the grilled pork chops. Menu changes constantly: Have been back multiple times already. Great dining environment. Very limited parking. Be prepared to park in the residential areas across the street during peak dining hours. Be prepared to make reservation 1-2 weeks in advance if you have a large party.

I have been hearing about this restaurant through various sources like the Meateater podcast, Jesse’s books, etc. I finally got a chance to eat here and it did not disappoint. My girlfriend was skeptical as she is not a game meat eater but the burger she had was “the best burger of her life”. My dinner was equally good and both starters we got were incredible. Next time I’m in town I plan on making another visit.

Stopped by for their brunch, which is available 3 days a week. Biscuit with butter and jam, carnitas flautas and the longhorn cheeseburger were our choices for the afternoon. The biscuit with jam was tasty, with no complaints. The flautas were surprisingly girthy with plenty of meat inside. Something you don't see to often with this particular Tex-Mex dish. I'm never been a huge fan of flautas generally, so this did not blow my socks off, but overall a reccomend if interested. Lastly, we split the longhorn cheeseburger. Very juicy and messy, but tasty. The burger was not trying to do too much, but had it's own personality and was made with care. With all Due respect, why aren't you on your way to Dai Due? 4.5/5

Food was good but the price : food wasn’t worth it (but we come from Houston where food is cheaper and we get more). The service was good - frequent refills, check ups, and care but also slow. We didn’t make a reservation but were seated within 10 minutes. We made our order and waited almost 15 minutes to get our appetizer and then another 15-30 minutes for the main meal. The three of us ordered to share the boar confit, cheese burger, sourdough, and potatoes caroline. Our favorite was the boar confit but altogether the flavors were good but not great

Great food. I had the seasonal dish: Grilled Wild Boar Filipino Longanisa Sausage with garlic rice, grilled eggplant salad, chives and an egg. It was excellent. They no longer sell sliced sausage or charcuterie out the front butcher cabinet, but there is still some frozen fresh ground sausages, bone broth, and their cookie dough in the freezer up front to purchase along with Jesse Griffiths books, some coffee beans, Dai Due apparel, etc.

We showed up at 1pm on a Saturday thinking we may need a reservation but they seated us right away. Had the wild boar sandwich and the antelope sausage burger with beef talow fries. Was delicious! The service was also good and we were able to take biscuits to go. The only thing was the sandwich had a bit too much of mayo. I'd order it on the side next time. Would definitely come again!

There is no praise that this restaurant doesn't deserve. Ethically hunted game meat and in-season local produce ensures that your meal is high quality and guilt-free. We had the longhorn burger and wild boar chops (menu changes based on season) and it was everything and more than we expected. Fries are fried in beef tallow. Visit as often as you can!

CARVE American Grille offers a polished, well-executed experience that’s easy to recommend if you’re looking for a modern take on the classic steakhouse in Austin. The atmosphere is one of the strongest elements, stylish and comfortable with a layout that feels upscale but not stiff. It’s a space that works well for both a casual date night or a business dinner, with just the right energy and noise level. Service was excellent across the board. Staff were knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely attentive without being overbearing. From start to finish, it felt like the team cared about delivering a seamless experience. The food was solid. Steaks were cooked to temperature and sides were thoughtfully prepared. That said, while everything was enjoyable, nothing on the plate quite reached standout territory. The flavors were good but leaned more classic than creative, well-made, but not especially memorable

Carve American Grille was incredible! The vibe was relaxed but upscale, and the service made us feel right at home. Everything we ordered was delicious - the Gruyere-topped popovers were the perfect start, and the truffle chicken pot pie was pure comfort food magic. The wagyu meatloaf cupcakes were super creative and packed with flavor, and the cedar plank fired redfish was fresh and perfectly cooked. We also loved the sweet sriracha Brussels sprouts - seriously addictive. You can tell they really care about every detail here, from the food to the drinks to the service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Travelled from San Antonio to spend birthday with Austin friends and selected Carve for my first birthday dinner. I was really hyped for dinner here specifically the NY strip steak but unfortunately steak was ordered medium and was really dry and the salt:pepper shrimp was bland. I don’t want to discourage the fact the atmosphere was perfect along with the service. If I have to boast about anything it’s the salmon cakes!!!!! The dessert Olive oil strawberry shortcake was phenomenal. The cocktails were also delicious! The manager Miles was perfect and addressed all our concerns. I would definitely come again, just not for the steak. 🥩

We had a wonderful visit at Carve (north Austin location). We made a 5p reservation on a Monday but it wasnt needed. Iralee, the manager, greeted and sat us. We went over our dietary restrictions (gluten and dairy free) with her and she was very helpful in suggesting recommendations and assuring us she would let the chef know. Our server, Treska, was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped guide our selections. We came to try the 4 for $44 special they had for July and it did not disappoint. The set menu had a selection of their most popular dishes. We both got the trio starter (Hog heaven, filet tenderloin toast and bacon wrapped shrimp), one regular and one gf/df, the beet salad, Cesar salad, the ribs and cauliflower pure entrée, meatloaf cupcakes entrée, the lemon bar dessert, smore dessert (minus the graham crackers) and drinks (wine and 2 mocktails). The trio was great. The hog heaven and filet toast were my favorite. The sauce on the filet was bomb and the red cabbage with the hog heaven was excellent. I wouldn't order the shrimp on its own. The ribs and cauliflower pure were the better entrée than the meatloaf. The BBQ sauce and meatloaf cupcakes were a little to spicy for my taste. The lemon bar was perfect, the smore was just a bit too sugary. Overall a phenomenal experience with delicious food. The portions were huge, we had to take most of the entrees home, so the vaule there was amazing. I am extremely appreciative that Iralee, Treska and Myle's went above and beyond to ensure my wife had an exceptional dinning experience with her dietary restrictions.

This is my first time at this location, and I have now been to both and let me say this restaurant is amazing at either location. The quality is phenomenal. We had the best time, we came for a friend’s birthday dinner and I can’t wait to go back to Austin just to eat here again. I got an espresso martini, it was creamy and delicious. We got tons of appetizers for the table. The spinach and artichoke dip is a classic and it is so rich and flavorful. The calamari was a showstopper. Paired with an untraditional Asian peanut slaw, do your self a favor and get it. The calamari was crispy, the slaw was so flavorful and paired perfectly with the calamari. I would’ve never thought about this combination but now I can’t stop thinking about it. The brussel sprouts are an absolute must, they are the best you will ever have, trust me. For my entree I got the truffle chicken pot pie….it was so so so delicious. It was seasoned perfectly and not too much of a truffle flavor. The meat was soft and tender. And the crust was flaky but dense at the same time. I will be getting this every time. My husband got the New York strip and said it was the best steak that he’s had in a long time. It was cooked perfectly and he ate all 14oz. We got the Mac and Cheese as a side and it was cheesy and baked on top, a good pick. The corn brûlée is a great pick. The sweet and savory side will not disappoint. To finish everything off we got the banana pudding. The perfect way to finish off the night! Can’t wait to go back! Definitely go for your next date night or special occasion!

I’ve been to this restaurant several times since it opened, but the overall quality has steadily declined. Unfortunately, our most recent visit confirmed it. Two of the meals we ordered had significant issues. The steak came out severely undercooked — not “medium,” but purple in the middle. When we sent it back to be cooked more, it was returned missing the crab meat topping it was supposed to come with. The pork chop was no better: tough, full of gristle, and almost completely devoid of flavor. For the prices they’re charging, the food quality simply isn’t up to par. The staff is friendly and attentive, but that alone doesn’t make up for the lack of care and consistency in the kitchen. What was once a promising spot has slipped badly, and unless things improve, it’s hard to justify returning.

We came back to the Carve - everything was delicious! I’ve got chicken truffle pie pot - tastes good like a stew. My husband had classic burger and steak sandwich - was good but the burger was not medium as we ordered but medium rare.

I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. As guests of the Omni Barton Creek, we had access to a back entrance, but I was surprised to see the entryway cluttered with boxes and chairs, which didn’t create the best first impression. Our waiter was wonderful—personable and friendly—and he did an excellent job of informing us about the off-menu items. Now, onto the food. We started with the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls, which were delicious but quite heavy. In retrospect, we probably shouldn’t have ordered them, as they filled us up and made it hard to enjoy the rest of our meal. For the main course, my wife chose the seabass with risotto and asparagus. Initially, we hesitated but because the waiter assured us the risotto was light, my wife decided to give it a try, but I can confidently say it was quite rich. Unfortunately, my wife couldn’t eat much of it, and for $70, it felt like a waste. On the other hand, my New York strip was fantastic—generous portions that I couldn’t finish. The glazed carrot was impressive, large, and very tasty. However, the baked potato was similar to what you’d find at Outback Steakhouse, but not quite as substantial. Overall, the experience was decent, but I probably wouldn’t return. Since we were celebrating our 32nd anniversary at the hotel, it was convenient to dine here. I’d rate it a solid 4 out of 5, but with some room for improvement.

What a magnificent service. This is an upscale chophouse. Our waiter was great and the manager Donovan made our experience even better. For appetizers we had the lobster bites and scallops. My oh my the lobster bites were amazing. The scallops were large in size and were almost as equally as good. For entree’s we had the ribeye, and specials which were the wagyu & lobster with baked potato and smashed potatoes. The ribeye was cooked to perfection as well as the wagyu. At the end we had a brownie ice cream sundae. Which was super moist. The ice cream was great!

The food was absolutely delicious! The steak was amazing and so delicious. The shrimp scampi pasta, I requested to substitute with seared scallops, and it was a great decision. The scallops was delicious. Nick our server was amazing and very accommodating to all our requests and needs. He was attentive and took the time to address any concerns or issues! Highly recommended the food and Nick our server. Great dining experience!

My favorite steak house!!! Great steaks, drinks, service and atmosphere. World’s biggest and best carrot with every steak. Wine selection is great. Always super service. Pro tip. Sit up on the rooftop and watch CFB!!! Must go!!

Juliette brought heart to the high-end experience at Bob’s, and that’s something we’ll remember. The food was excellent (as always), but she is the reason we’re already planning our next visit. There were six of us. The service was awful. Our waiter must have been new and/or untrained. He spilled red wine down one guest’s back. He brought the wrong order to us….. twice. Had to ask repeatedly for soda (for the shirt) and to clear our table. He didn’t pour the wine. One guest didn’t get his steak but was sent it as a “to go” order when we left. We spent $1,400 total. Never again.

Wow, where to begin? Our server Sharon was the brightest person in the room with her smile and great personality! She was extremely knowledgeable and kept the drinks flowing! The atmosphere is something to be desired in all steakhouses as it serves classy and modern at the same time, love the space and the lighting. The food was exceptional, we had steaks and lobster tails and I can say that is one of my favorite steaks now!! The scallops were devine and the corn brûlée was mind blowing! Will be back to try the pork chops!

My wife and I recently dined at Perry's for the first time. I had anticipated a high-end dining experience which would include atmosphere, and for the high prices, excellent tasting menu items. I was disappointed on all counts. I started with the Caesar Salad which was so salty I could not eat it. I returned it and was not charged for it. I also had the Stuffed Mushroom appetizer. I removed the stuffing, which tasted fishy, and ate the mushrooms. I also had French Onion Soup and it was fair. I next had the Crab Cakes appetizer. The plate contained two Crab Cakes. The crab cakes were not lump meat but rather a blended stuffing with a crust and deep fried. I ate half of one. For dessert I had the Bread Pudding which came with a four inch square of marshmallow for a topping. My thought is how ridiculous that huge chunk of marshamallow looked sitting on top of the bread pudding. The bread pudding was tasteless and very solid. It was difficult to eat with a spoon or fork. I only had one bite. My wife had the Chopped Salad which was fair. She also had the Lobster Bisque which was fine but not great. My wife also had the Shrimp Cocktail which was five shrimp on ice with a small container of shrimp cocktail sauce. It was ok. We had a nice young lady as our server. She was polite and efficient. In summary we were totally disappointed in this restaurant. The food was sub par on every item my wife and I tried. The prices were expensive. I felt the dining experience was a waste of our time and money. We will never come to this restaurant again as there are better options.

So my wife and our five year old son decided to take me here for Father's Day!! I am still full, but it was awesome food. The service and atmosphere were very nice as well. The employees were awesome and helpful, considering our son loves his food to be crunchy since he is Autistic. The wagyu was spot on perfect, just like everything else . What a wonderful Father's Day gift at a very nice restaurant. It's worth every bit it costs!

Very nice atmosphere! Was 5 minutes late for our reservation - couldn’t find parking so paid for valet. Ended up having to wait around the bar for a seat because we were late. That aside - steak was perfect! I had the umami ribeye and I still think about it till this day!!

My boyfriend looked up best steakhouse in Austin and this one was highly recommended. He surprised me on a date here and the food was amazing. Good portions and great drinks! The ambience is a bit loud but still very romantic and the lighting is everything. Our server was so sweet and very attentive.

Went to Perry’s with a group and had the vegetarian options — honestly, it’s not really built for vegetarians, but they do have a few things. The flavors were okay, but nothing stood out, especially for the price. The vibe is definitely more geared toward steak lovers, but the service was great and the atmosphere was nice. Fine if you’re tagging along with meat-eaters, but probably wouldn’t go out of my way as a vegetarian.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Perry's Steakhouse & Grille. The elegant and quiet ambiance created a wonderful dining experience, complemented by truly delicious food. I particularly loved their perfectly seasoned steak and the delectable Truffle Spinach and Artichoke Dip. Our friendly waiter enhanced the evening, and I appreciated their convenient QR code system for wine selections. The crème brûlée was also a wonderful finish. This restaurant truly makes me feel welcome and cared for.

Wow is really how this place is. It was my first time ever coming to a Brazilian steakhouse establishment and the service was top tier. Jose and Josue were very attentive and informative of any questions we had. The food was top tier, along with the constant attention from the staff to make sure we had everything we needed. We also received a complimentary dessert in honor of us celebrating getting a new home and newly married. 10 out of 10 recommend giving this place a shot at delivering top tier service and providing the best Brazilian cuisine and drinks.

This was amazing! From walking in and being greeted. To being seated and served. Service was great, a little harder to understand sometimes,but definitely still great care from each server. Drinks a recommend. The lemonade is amazing and the drink is hadnwas great a mango tequila i beleive. The salad bar was nice and had good options. The different meats are worth it alone to come, and you may request for the meat to be more done if you dont like bloody. Overall a great spot for buisness meetings, lunch ins, dates, and family.

I had such a wonderful experience at this steakhouse! The food was absolutely delicious. perfectly cooked steaks, full of flavor, and sides that were just as amazing. The service was outstanding as well; all the servers were attentive, polite, and made us feel very comfortable. A special mention to Anianeth and Saúl, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. I also celebrated my birthday here, and it was the ideal place for such a special occasion. The atmosphere, the food, and the exceptional service made it unforgettable. Highly recommend this restaurant not only for a great meal but also for celebrating special events!

A phenomenal place to celebrate any occasion! Food was absolutely amazing. Everyday since I just want to go back. Service was phenomenal! Including our main server as well as all the wait staff that would bring the meats by. As soon as you flipped your card to green, you would be given the option of a delicious assortment of meats and they would not stop coming until you flipped your card back over. A really nice touch was they would also ask if you’d like anything specific.. my husband kept making them come back with shrimp 🍤 and they were more than happy to. They had a really nice salad bar as well, you could choose the option just to have the salad bar which would have been great just in itself, tons of salad sections.. salmon.. assortments of cheeses.

Service was amazing. I feel like the servers and waiters including management were so focused on customers. Everyone works together and you aren't just helped by one like most businesses. Shout out to our servers Mariam and Joseph for making us feel like kings! Definitely worth the price.

Estancia never disappoints. Their food is delicious, , perfectly seasoned and the salad bar is off the chart. We went for a friend's daughter's birthday and she requested lamb chops with mash potatoes. They made it fresh to order. So she was a happy birthday girl!

First time dining in at a Brazilian Steakhouse to celebrate Father’s Day with my husband and I was very pleased. The food, drinks and service 10/10. Our waiter recommended drinks which were delicious. They had a variety of options at the Salad bar which were all delicious. The Meat was very flavorful. I don’t normally like my meat medium rare but I was pleased by good it tasted. The fireball cheesecake was AMAZING! Definitely will be dining in again

Location is great near the pink Parking Lot and my favorite spot at the Domain. Came here for a function and with a designated room for presentation. The menu was great. Great appetizer- had calamari, mini charcuterie and the usual bread spread. I had the Fleming’s salad and it was basic. The steak was wonderful/perfect medium rare and the sides I loved! Asparagus, Mac and cheese, and baked potato/cheese. We were able to get brownie desert for home as we were full. They offered wine but I got soda and water . Our server was rushed but very efficient. The tables were full when we came out from the function. Great sound system and screen just right for the room size. Recommended!

Absolutely amazing! Everything was beyond delicious! We arrived around 1pm on a weekday. The restaurant wasn't busy at all which was pleasant for us! The tomahawk was cooked to perfection with the option to have different flavored butters on the side. The timing of when everything was brought out was based on us and when we wanted it. I didn't feel rushed to eat the appetizer. Our meal came out after we finished our appetizer. The chef made sure everything was cooked to our liking! The desserts were amazing! The fresh fruit was so sweet! Our server was attentive but did not hover or rush us!

I took my wife to the place for our anniversary and we started out with the complimentary bread with champagne infused brie, and sun-dried tomato butter with creamy and robust notes. My wife had a blue berry lemon drop, and she said its has a high alcohol content, so if you are not a drinker mixed with water(she loved it). I ordered the crab cakes to start with a roasted red pepper sauce. For dinner I ordered the chilean seabass and my wife ordered the 16oz New York strip cooked medium to perfection, perfect fat ratio, seasoned and grill properly 10/10 would recommend. We has the chipotle macaroni and cheese, and also the mashed potatoes. This place is awesome. With tip we spent $250.

Amazing night with friends celebrating my 58th birthday 🎂. Cowgirl rib eye, onion rings, brownie, and the service was excellent but the high point was the amazing liquor selection and knowledge bartenders. Special shout out to James Cooke for the birthday deal on an open bottle of Eagle Rare 17 year. For a bourbon enthusiast like myself sharing Eagle Rare 17 with my friends was amazing. James you will see us all again!

5 Stars – An Exceptional Dining Experience We were absolutely blown away by our experience at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. We made a reservation on a Tuesday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised to find availability that same evening at 7 PM. My husband and I weren't celebrating anything specific, just enjoying each other's company, and this location made it feel like a special occasion anyway. From the moment we walked in, the service was top notch. We were seated immediately, and every staff member, from the host to the wine director to our server, was attentive and welcoming. The wine director was especially helpful in guiding us through their excellent selection. He recommended a rich, buttery Chardonnay for me (which I loved), and my husband enjoyed a ruby red, sweet Moscato bubbly that was equally wonderful. To start, we were served fresh bread with two types of butter, simple but incredibly flavorful. For our appetizer, we shared the sweet chili fried calamari, which was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of heat. For dinner, we ordered the Australian Wagyu strip steak, cooked to a perfect medium rare, along with the creamed corn brûlée—an unexpectedly delicious side that we’re still talking about. The lobster bisque was another highlight, creamy, rich, and generously filled with tender pieces of lobster. We were so full by the end of the meal that we took our crème brûlée to go, and even then it was the perfect sweet ending to a flawless evening. Even the bathrooms were spotless, which to me is always a reflection of a restaurant that truly cares about every detail. Highly recommend this location. We’ll definitely be back!

We began with the shrimp cocktail perfectly chilled and fresh followed by a crisp and flavorful wedge salad and a rich, velvety lobster bisque. For our entrées, we enjoyed the NY strip steak cooked to perfection and the incredibly juicy double cut pork chop. The sides were just as impressive especially the decadent lobster mashed potatoes and the crispy Brussels sprouts and bacon, which had a great balance of flavor and texture. To finish, we had the crème brûlée, which was creamy with the perfect caramelized top, along with delicious lattes. As a special anniversary touch, the kitchen even surprised us with chocolate truffles—a thoughtful and sweet gesture that made the night even more memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered and couldn’t have asked for better service or food. Highly recommend Fleming’s for a special occasion or a great night out!

Incredible experience at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse! Our waiter, Sebastian, went above and beyond the entire evening. He was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. He made fantastic recommendations (the Tomahawk steak was phenomenal with a side of Diablo sauce) and even let my wife sample three different wines before choosing a glass. The sides and desserts he suggested were also perfect. The pace of service was spot on, and everything felt effortless and special. I honestly have zero complaints and didn’t even look at the bill … it was that good. Definitely a place for special occasions.

We tried Bartlett's for the first time on Saturday! We had a reservation for 4:30 in the afternoon. I do recommend getting a reservation because even at this early time, the restaurant was almost completely full. They don't have a ton of parking but there's more in the shopping center behind the bushes of the Bartlett's lot. The restaurant is pretty dark so it feels fancy and romantic. We were happy to be seated near a window up a few steps so that we had a little more light. Our food came pretty quickly and everything was delicious and was generous portions. We even asked for bread and butter, which wasn't on the menu, and they brought us some! Our waiter seemed like he was pretending to be happy and was more robotic than conversational, but still nice. It was overall a nice time and seems to be one of the more affordable steakhouses in the Austin area.

Bartlett’s is a long time go to for date night. The food is reliably excellent and the service is great. Their steak chimichurri sandwich is always a winner and if you get the pork chop, a double cut is always a great idea. They don’t always have it on the menu but their sundae with chocolate sauce is a must. Highly recommended!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin especially for a chilled martini, delicious steak & fine glass of wine. They've got quite a variety by the glass. Service at the bar was excellent and fast but allowed single diners a leisurely pace to enjoy a fine dining meal. This is the former Houston's so there are a lot of standards & favorites on the menu. The pricing is appropriate in relation to the high quality, preparation, taste and consistency of the meal. The restaurant stays busy especially on the weekends so you may have a bit of a wait. The Hawaiian ribeye is phenomenal as was the cheesecake with raspberry sauce.

Heard a lot about this place and wanted to give it a try. It's always mentioned in best chicken tenders in Austin, in addition to excellent steaks and generally high quality food. The good: - waiter was superb and very affable, made me feel very comfortable and encouraged feedback. - when I had issues with my food they worked to correct them and didn't hassle me about it. - manager checked in more than once - well trained general and support staff - some of the food I sent back, when it came back, was delicious The bad: - this place is nice, and it's pricy. The food should be the highlight and it absolutely was not. - broccoli was chewing wood chips when it first came out. When I asked it to be properly cooked it came back perfect, however, so props there. - the chicken tenders were a mixed bag. I had three that were wonderful and then two that were soggy like they'd been put in plastic after frying (see pictures). - dessert was way too expensive for what it was, and if I'm paying $15 for a small slice of cheesecake the texture needs to be better, not on the acceptable half of overdone. - even for weekday lunch the place was packed, so wait times can be long -- The chef came out and was very responsive when I explained the issue and did agree that the tenders being so soggy and the broccoli so hard was not acceptable, and I appreciated the chance to talk to him. Everyone has good and bad days, and they let me down today. I'd love to come back and give them another try if they think they could up their game and wow me. But I'm guessing with all their business they're not very bothered at the moment. I'll update if I hear/go back

Truly one of the best restaurants in Austin! Drinks, ambience, and food are all 10 star level. I had the Grill chicken salad with Field greens, cilantro, roasted peanuts, tortilla strips, honey-lime vinaigrette, peanut sauce. My personal favorite. Wife and sister had the filet and ribeye cooked to perfection! We live out of town so each time we come Austin it’s a must visit to Bartlett’s

Always excellent. Pork ribs are literally "fall off the bone." Also, they still have the best burgers in Austin. Service is always impeccable. I don't go as often as I would like because my wife thinks it is too fancy. It is very nice, but certainly not a "look down your nose" place. Just great food and service with a very nice atmosphere.

The food was delicious and service quality was truly exceptional inside the restaurant. Except for The valet service was full and the lady wouldn't even let us wait in line, it felt uncomfortable when she yelled at us. We ended up having to self-park elsewhere. 4/13/25

Heck of a good dinner and place to eat. It was a group of 3 and we ate at the bar which was comfortable and a good place to sit. Service was really good with a friendly bartender that took car of us. We all enjoyed our dinner with the Mac & Cheese stealing the show. The parking lot can be a little tricky and I would suggest reservations.

Great food, beautiful view. Dog friendly! The portions are pretty big so think about sharing. The decor and ambience are so relaxing and tons of fans under the shaded area to keep you cool. The large mimosa pitcher is definitely meant for 3-4 people as it was a lot for 2 people to drink. Highly recommend if you’re in East Austin! Make a reservation and parking lot is only valet for $6

This place is really nice looking! We went for Sunday Brunch and the food was delicious. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, the club sandwich, and the strawberry cake. They even came by an asked us if we wanted an extra cinnamon roll that they had! Our waitress was so nice. We sat inside and luckily we made the right choice as it was pouring but the outside looked pretty covered. Will definitely be back!

What truly makes Jacoby’s stand out, though, is how pet-friendly they are. The patio is spacious, shaded, and welcoming for furry friends — our dogs were treated like family with water bowls and lots of attention from the staff. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both incredible food and such a relaxed, pet-friendly vibe. Went in for their Thursday steak and frites special and did not disappoint!! Really good, tender steak cooker to a perfect medium. Cosmopolitan cocktail was great too. Update: we also tried their burger and it’s delicious!! Will be adding Jacobys to one of my staple restaurants in Austin :)

Sat on the patio for a 1pm brunch. Their brunch menu is amazing! Had the Deviled eggs (10/10), biscuits and gravy (8/10), chorizo migas (100/10 must try), side cheddar grits (9/10), & took home a strawberry cake. The strawberry cake is insanely good and it makes me want to request a whole cake for maybe a birthday or something in the future. Portions are huge and 3 of us were stuffed from those all of those as we did more of a family style sharing. Overall place is great and I highly recommend the patio seating.

Wonderful experience at Dean’s. The service was great and the food was exactly what we hoped for. We started with the chilled Alaskan king crab (our market price was $60) after wanting some since our Alaskan cruise earlier this year, and this hit the mark so much we ordered another round of it with our entrees. We also started with the a5 hot rock which was very good wagyu. For the entree we shared one of the specials which was two 4oz center cut filets with the warm butter king crab add on, Marsala mushrooms, and like I mentioned another chilled king crab platter. We thought the steak and Marsala mushrooms were incredible, but the warm butter king crab was super fishy (or crabby lol) which was weird because the chilled king crab was delicious, and also one of my pieces had a shell. The bread pudding for dessert was the perfect ending. Oh and shoutout to those Parker rolls.

Decided to take a walk to treat myself at Deans on a Sunday evening and proven to be a wise decision! Was seated at the bar within minutes of checking in with the hosts and the bar tender on duty was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful with his tips. It was hard to pick between the dishes on the seasonal menu (the pasta smelled and looked top notched as my adjacent patron devoured it) and the protein dishes… I ended up going with protein dish (chicken) and it was executed to near-perfection (the capers were a bit too much and too savory for my own taste but the protein and the overall dish was beautifully done). The next time I am in town, I ll be sure to come back for other dishes and the wonderful dessert menu! Thanks Dean’s and keep up with the great work!

Date Night at Dean’s was AMAZING! We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday which I was able to tell them ahead of time (they made the cutest handmade birthday card for him!!) Lawrence served us for the night. We asked for his recommendations which definitely did not disappoint at all. The Dry-Aged Ribeye with Grilled Shrimp and truffle béarnaise and the Italian Oscar, (sub a New York Strip). The starter of the bread and butter was delicious. Very simple but oh so delicious! We finished our meals off with the Carrot Cake, we aren’t really into sweets but it was definitely worth it. Moist, flavorful, and tasty.

Impeccable dining experience. Came in on a whim due to there being a big parade shutting down majority of the area and was so delighted with my visit. I was served by TJ (I sat at the bar since I was solo dining), he was very attentive, gave awesome menu recommendations and overall was a pleasure to be served by. I wound up ordering the scallops. I'm a huge scallop girl and my test for scallops to see if they're cooked correctly, is that I should be able to slice through them with a fork with no issues. My fork glided straight through each one. The scallops were sweet, savory, surrounded by a delicious cream sauce & cooked to perfection. Highly recommend for a beautiful dining experience. 10/10 would recommend!

Deans is located inside the JW Marriott on the main floor. We sat at the bar for happy hour, which is held from 5-6:30pm. Bartender Jake was amazing! Answered all of our questions about the menu and the drinks. David Jake’s bar back was so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed food wise and to go. Service was fantastic and the food was delicious! Highly recommend.

This was my second visit to Dean’s Italian Steakhouse, and it reminded me why I enjoy coming here. The food was great overall. We started with a few appetizers and all ordered steaks for our mains. My steak leaned a bit toward medium while still keeping some of that medium-rare quality, slightly more done than I prefer but everything else more than made up for it. The wine was excellent, the atmosphere elegant yet comfortable, and the service stood out as attentive, professional, and never rushed. We felt genuinely taken care of the whole evening. Even with that small imperfection, it was a wonderful dining experience worth repeating.

Dean’s was the perfect place for my birthday dinner and Lexie was a wonderful server expertly crafting our whole experience! We enjoyed everything from Lobster Bisque and Caesar Salad to the Barrel Cut Filet and Short Rib Gnocchi. Drinks and atmosphere were also top-notch. Highly recommend!

Jaden was amazing and made our dinning experience so enjoyable. He was personable, helpful and so hospitable. We sat outside and the view from the patio was perfect. The food was amazing. We got dish: bacon wrapped pork loins, catch of day - halibut, salmon, 8oz filet with asparagus and mash potato sides with brownie and cherry custard cake. Perfect evening and dinning experience. Food was great, atmosphere was great and very beautiful for our Anniversary! Our server was super kind as well, loved this place! As per usual for most fancy restaurants, your more of paying for the platting and the atmosphere rather than the food.

Absolutely loved our experience! We came here for our 2nd Wedding anniversary as our 1st time here. Food and drinks were great! The Chicken Lfatbread appetizer, Filet, and Pork are all VERY great choices. We had the Huckleberry Cheesecake after and it was good! The place is well kept and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive. No complaints, highly recommend. It is our new go to for a nice night out. In the words of our server: "I didn't do the writing." 😂

I had the seared Ahi Tuna and it was delicious. Others In my party ordered the duck, filet mignon, chicken fried steak, salmon, and shrimp and grits. The Ahi Tuna was delicious although weirdly difficult to cut through but not chew. The duck and chicken fried steak were fabulous and highly recommend. The dishes were beautifully plated and well curated. Other sin my party had some cocktails and said they were good and they loked beautiful. The wait staff did struggle a bit to keep our waters full, and one did spill some on the table. They were kind enough to allow our large party to split our checks. And the hostess helped our large party get a phenomenal photo of our group at sunset on the patio in front of the water. Overall great experience and would return, delicious food good atmosphere.

Beautiful setting on Quarry Lake. We dined outside with reservations. It was busy on Saturday at 2:30. Started with cocktails, a Cosmo and Lady Bird garnished with a pansy. I had their famous cedar plank salmon and it was excellent. My friend had the chicken Waldorf salad. She requested extra side dressing which never came. As we were paying the tab, we requested our leftovers to go and our waiter took them back to box them up. Again my friend requested extra salad dressing to go, it was not included but her dirty fork was in the doggie box, YUK. The pic of the Big Ass burger was from a table nearby. I would definitely recommend and did tip 20% even with the questionable dressing and fork incident.

We eat here when we are in Austin, generally twice a year. It’s always fabulous! Great food quality, delicious appetizers and entrees, great bar and cocktails. We couldn’t be happier. My only complaint is that there isn’t a location where we live! The photos from our latest visit - a cocktail with peach vodka, queso with pork, green chile, and red peppers for an appetizer, and bacon wrapped pork tenderloin with poblano grits for the entree. Delicious! And the service is always great. It’s our favorite restaurant when in Austin!

Our group started with the bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos. Everyone loved them. My filet was amazing!! The side of mashed potatoes was wonderful, super hot, and enough to share. Our son really enjoyed his New York Strip. His girlfriend loved the Ahi Tuna. On our next visit, we want to try the half chicken, it looked like that was a favorite of many guests, and the hamburger. Or maybe I'll just stick with the filet!

We dine at the Round Rock location regularly! We’ve been to the one off 183 in Austin too. No comparison, the Round Rock location is hands down superior in every way! It is managed very well! Love the pineapple margarita!

This place is amazing. I was taken back from the quality of finishes and the decor I love all the country stuff. Staff were so friendly and the food was very fresh and delicious.

The service was really good, you can see the manager visiting tables to assure everything was ok. But unfortunately my plate was chicken and look like they boiled only, in addition without salt and just drop “pico de gallo” over, I don’t recommend to anyone the chicken on that place. Salmon and shrimp was good.

The ambiance is good but when we got inside the restaurant it has a bad smell like something wasn't clean right. I'm still giving it 4 because the food is quite nice and our server Ms. Erica is phenomenal! She's very helpful with food choices, sweet and caring. That was our 1st time visit, hoping the next time we visit the place will smell clean.

Always great, had the caramelized bacon, which was incredible. But probably too expensive the other items we had were standards for us. She had the chicken tenders, and I had the chicken fried steak, and they are just amazing, very, very good.The free bread is almost worth the trip by itself..

Stopped by for lunch..had 9oz center cut filet, served with bread and salad. Ordered iced tea and brought own jug to self refill. Service was really good and very tasty.

This gastropub has an interesting rustic-chic interior that adds to its vibe. It was our first time visiting, so we weren’t sure where to park at first. Turns out, they have four parking spots located behind the restaurant. One thing also to note is that you need to place your order at the bar. We tried the French Omelette and the Eggs Benedict. If you’re avoiding meat, the omelette is a good option. It’s creamy and cheesy. The menu mentioned the omelette comes topped with caviar, but mine dish didn’t, which was a little disappointing. The Eggs Benedict, on the other hand, was well-cooked and tasty.

I was looking for an interesting place to take my wife for a nice lunch. It's a little bit of a drive for us, but it's all good. When we got there, we managed to find a lucky parking spot in the back. Downside to eating downtown is parking. The minute we walked in, my wife loved it. It's very uniquely decorated to its theme. We didn't have reservations because the host asked us, but there were very few people there. We were seated in the rear of the restaurant, which I recommend because the ac works better there. Once seated, our server was awesome 👌 I was a little surprised by the menu because there was not a lot to choose from. Not many people there it took a while to get our order. I ordered the English breakfast. It was mediocre. The sausage could have been bigger. The bacon was salty as hell. It seemed like a cheap version of an English breakfast french style. But pricey. Talk about BS. The BLT was good. Can't really go wrong there. The escargot was very plain. Missing the garlic. The presentation was nice but very bland. I've tried escargot in Paris and a few places in the States, but this was numbing bland. It's really a disgrace. Save your $16 dollars. I did want the burger, but not at $21, especially when it's 80/20. Enough said interesting place spent $80 on a few items not really interested in returning. They need a menu overhaul, and the place might be worth going to. Honestly, the bbq place next door looked good. For the money and better fill, why not try the bbq place next time.

We were looking for somewhere to eat late at night in Austin and we ran into this little gem. We were tired and at first glance the menu was different and we had teenagers with us, so we debated leaving to get some burgers at a drive thru. I am sure glad we didn’t! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The Mexican Martini was a clear winner at the table, but my husband’s mocktail was equally delicious. They have a wide selection of beers which is what I had and it was nice and cold. My husband had the Chicken on the dinner menu. It was juicy, tender, and flavorful, he loved it, my brother had the burger which was cooked to perfection, his words not mine. Didn’t try that one but he devoured it so that says it all. My sister in law had the French Onion Soup which she loved, I did try that one which I have never had that soup. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. It had a creamy gravy like broth that was very warming to the heart. But for me my dish took the grand prize, I had the mussels and fries. They were amazing, the broth had a perfect blend of spices that literally blew my mind. The fries were perfection and they were topped of with a truffle sauce which was to die for. It was a huge portion, but I could not stop eating it. They were easily the best mussels and fries I have ever had. The kids had basic stuff like steak and fries and a plain burger which they both enjoyed. This definitely will be a spot I will visit every time I come to Austin, everything was amazing the drinks, the food, the service. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for amazing drinks and food. They obviously know what they are doing and everything came or so quickly. My brother lives near by and both him and my sister in law were happy to find this place as well. Thank you for an amazing experience!

This is one of our favorite places because of the delicious food and creative cocktails. We like the mussels, burgers, fries, and many other items on the menu. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. When we were there the Olympics were being shown on a big projection screen. The Hyde Park Theatre is nearby if you are looking for something else to do after grabbing a bite or drink.

One of the most unique and thoroughly enjoyable places I have been... I know I have been out a lot like others but... Forgot to take pictures of most of the dishes, but I will say the best way to experience this place is to bring 3 other friends that you would be comfortable sharing dishes with, order 4 or 5 of the entrees, a bottle of wine, two desserts, and maybe a few dessert type Liquors and have at it. Food was really wonderful, flavorful (we had duck, mussels, salmon, beef tartar) and a great way to taste several dishes without too much of one thing. One of the top to go French restaurants of choice in town. Especially if you want a less crowded places for a more romantic setting. The place has great mood lighting for dates or family style meals or just grabbing a quick fare with friends or coworkers in their 3 partitions. The Entree menu changes seasonally and the quality and portion of food for the price are very well justified. I have never left feeling hungry but always have felt satisfied. The wine listings are wide and really good and the server recommendation pair really well with the food.

Perry’s Steakhouse in Austin is an absolute standout. The pork chop skewers are the star of the menu—perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of flavor with every bite. The food is good but the portions are extremely small for the price, they load up the side dishes and skimp the entrees, that's "fine dining" I guess. This was our first time actually eating here, we had tried to come last year for my wife's birthday with reservations and had to wait more than an hour past our reservation time so we just left. This time we came early and didn't bother making a reservation so we were seated in the bar area despite the dining area being empty at the time, fine, no big deal, we still got a nice table. The food was good, our server was nice and nice atmosphere, but the entree portions to the table side entree service were a bit dissapointing.

Love this place!! We have been here several times and it never disappoints. Came in tonight and got the Butcher’s Steak Burger & Bourbon special. Our server Grace was absolutely fantastic! Attentive without being overbearing, she was friendly and really made sure that we had everything we needed. It made our dining experience so enjoyable.

Perry’s Steakhouse is such a great place to unwind after a long day at work. The atmosphere is refined yet comfortable, making it perfect for relaxing with friends or colleagues. Their cocktails are excellent! well-crafted and always on point. When it comes to food, the entrées are outstanding. I especially loved the filet beef and bleu (melt-in-your-mouth perfection) and the fish tartare, which was wonderfully smooth, fresh, and one of the best I’ve ever had. A consistently enjoyable experience, definitely a spot I look forward to returning to.

The pork chop special was a real treat and an excellent value! I can wholeheartedly recommend it. Flavorful, tender, and juicy. Service was excellent except for an extended time to pay the bill. If I was working over the lunchtime that we went, that would definitely have been an issue. The place is comfortable and inviting. However it was full and very, very loud. Overall though a very good experience that I can recommend.

We had a company dinner here, and the atmosphere was energetic but not too loud—perfect for conversation across the table. The entire staff was attentive and very helpful. The food was very good, flavorful and enjoyed by all.

We celebrated our anniversary with friends last night and had an amazing time. Our service was phenomenal and we appreciated the little touches to make our night extra special. I will dream about the charred corn and the halibut for the rest of my life! Everything was great but these 2 were the absolute standouts!

The food was fantastic, especially the small bites! A touch too salty for my liking, but overall very flavorful. The restaurant is not big, so it’s best to book a reservation in advance. They even prepared a handwritten card signed by all the staff for my husband’s birthday, which was such a thoughtful gesture.

Wow. Just wow. Hestia is where wood fired dreams come to life. Everything is cooked over an open flame, and the Michelin Star is fully deserved. A very elevated experience. You can taste the art in every bite. Wr started with 2 bites, the corn and husk and the crab toast. They were so cute. One bite. We then got the crudo and I loved the smokiness of this dish. The halibut was even better. It came with a pour of this green tasty sauce. Bring me 2 mesquite cakes! That wood fire process is making babies back there. Excellent!

The tasting menu at Hestia was a very good experience. Unlike most other tasting menus, they provide you with a description of what’s in it before you start so that you can choose if it’s right for you. The tasting menu featured some of the more popular dishes on the à la carte menu and had a few extras thrown in as well. This restaurant has an open hearth and so you should expect that it will smell a bit smoky and you might even leave with the smell on your clothes. The food and the service are definitely worth the visit!

Absolutely delicious! Every meal from starting to end was perfection. Staff was friendly and I got to sit in front of kitchen. Everyone worked well and fast. Flavors included ingredients that complemented each other. Visually appealing and unique dishes. Bite dishes are small and fir only 1 person. Everything else is sharable. My personal favorites were the Waygu Tatar (raw section) 10/10 and Halibut ( main section) 10/10. Also tried the Waygu sirloin, scallops, crab tostada. Everything was cooked perfectly and exceeded my expectations. I read previous reviews, and some were mixed. I opted out of the fixed course ($195 per person)the offer because of mixed opinions. I decided to just pick things from the menu that I wanted to try. For 2 people and spent under $400. We finished with dessert Bunuelo and recommended if you like a variety of textures. It's base is a crunchy shell and it has a gooey almond filling, not overwhelming, sweet, and topped with ice cream. Overall, will recommended to anyone visiting Austin and would dine here again.

The chefs tasting menu is phenomenal. This was our 3rd time visiting a Michelin star restaurant and is now our new favorite. Service was just as good as the food. The pace of each dish was perfect as well.

Puts the fine in fine dining! Everything about this place was 10/10. The food was immaculate and service even better. It was fine dining without it feeling stuck up which is one of my favorite things. You can have conversations with the wait staff and service and still felt elevated. Do the Tasting Menu. I repeat, do the Tasting Menu. It is such a fun experience and the wine pairing made it that much more fun! The food was well presented and very full of flavor and freshness. My favorite things were the scallop, halibut, and ribeye! All of it was excellent though. Gabi, Angelyn, and Blake were SO FUN! They checked up on us, brought their personalities, and really made the evening one to remember. They epitomize the definition of service and set the bar high. Bonus ifykyk, the pretzel sticks stole the show.

We went to J-Prime to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and had such an amazing experience! The Restaurant Week menu was outstanding every dish was delicious. Our waiter Jesus went above and beyond to make the night special. We couldn’t have asked for a better celebration. Highly recommend!

The best fine dining with halal options in Austin Texas. We came here when my husband proposed to me, my birthday, his birthday, and our anniversary. We also come for happy hours. I’ve been to few fine dining in the states and international. J-Prime is one of my favorites. The experience and ambiance makes all the difference. The food is always delicious, the service is impeccable and profesional. Always starts with small pancake with caviar, cheese bites, appetizer (optional), palate cleanser (sorbet), oshibori, and then main course, and last but not least on to dessert. Their mocktails are so good as well. We recommend any of their creekstone selection. They have a whole section including: filet mignon, NY strip, rib eye, tomahawk, porterhouse. They all melt in your mouth. We love their truffle fries, broccolini, and corn as a side. The chocolate cake and the creme brûlée’s are so good. When you’re there make sure you ask for Anastasia or Michael to serve you, but truly most Servers are great. The team work between each other is reflects on the experience. Shout out to Miguel, manny, and Daniel for the always being a part of our special days and the hospitality. We highly recommend.

Dining solo after business meetings, decided to splurge on dinner. Best decision of the day. Originally planned on filet mignon with side of asparagus, but no way I could eat the whole family sized portion of vegetables. Decided instead to start with shrimp cocktail, then steak kabob. Shrimp cocktail was amazing, shrimp were giant and the house-made cocktail sauce was excellent. The Brazilian cheese balls in between were great. Steak kabob was very good as well, though there was no way I could finish the oven roasted potatoes. Rounded off dinner with bananas foster, which was perfect. Thanks for the excellent food and service!

We recently attended a private event at J-Prime, and our experience was phenomenal — thanks in large part to Jus, our server for the evening. From start to finish, Jus delivered exceptional service with professionalism, warmth, and attention to every detail. He handled our group effortlessly, ensuring every guest felt taken care of. Drinks were always refilled, courses came out perfectly timed, and Jus made sure every request was met with a smile. His knowledge of the menu and wine pairings was impressive, and his calm, confident demeanor helped everything run smoothly. Hosting a private event can be stressful, but Jus made it completely seamless — allowing us to relax and enjoy an incredible evening with our friends. J-Prime is always known for its food and atmosphere, but Jus truly elevated the experience. If you’re planning an event at J-Prime, ask for Jus — he’s simply outstanding.

This was a random pick because we've been most other places near us. Best chance restaurant in a while. My husband's steak was amazing perfectly cooked and savory seasoning. My salmon was also grilled to perfection. I like it slightly more cooked than most fish places serve their salmon. The sweet potato fries were crisp but not crunchy and not soggy, very well executed in my opinion. The chips (warm) and salsa/guac were on point. There is a separate charge for guacamole FYI. Hubby got draft Dos a large is twice price as small. I got a Strawberry Punch had low key flavor and a lot of ice a little watery, not great not horrible. The customer was simply the best ever. Attentive but didn't hover. Never ran out drinks, almost immediately after finishing our dirty plates were removed like magic. Atmosphere was rustic country with a live fire and tvs playing fireplaces. Lighting provided a comfy and inviting atmosphere.

We visited Texas Land & Cattle in Austin, TX and the experience was just okay. I ordered the Texas Pick 3: Spinach dip, Texas wings with garlic parmesan, and TX potato skins, and a Sprite. The rest of the table ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes, seasonal veggies, and garlic bread also a smoked sirloin with a baked potato and garden salad, along with a strawberry lemonade. While the food was okay and service was decent, nothing stood out enough to make me want to return. It was not bad, but in a city like Austin with so many great dining options, it would not be a place I will return.

Thank you Fitts for a great meal, this was exactly what we needed after a long day of hard work. We really enjoyed this, it's basically a step above quality wise and atmosphere wise from Texas Road House. The food is excellent and the drinks are strong. We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in the door and Fitts took great care of us through the whole meal. Next time we wanna split a steak and salad we will be back!

We had a party of 12 but the wait for the food and to get the checks was very long. There was several issues with getting the correct charges for the checks. Some cards were brought back witout being charged. The food on the other hand was delicious.

We had the potato skins (good), bread and butter (good), me and the wife both had ribeye steaks and for the most part they were good, my bone in cut was a little gristly but overall was good. The sides were good as well. Use to eat at one of these restaurants as a kid in Dallas but they are all gone now so it was cool to experience again.

Just as an uber eats driver please keep track of this better. I let a young man know my order. I guess he forgot i patiently waited 10 min until some nice gentleman with a mustache doublechecked and it came out right away. It may have been ready without the 10 min wait.

Parking can be tricky as there are limited parking spaces and there is no parking on the Main Street. There is also a steep driveway leading up to the parking area. Bread and butter was delicious and you have a choice to pick 2 flavored butter. Bread was partially sliced, so it was messy and a challenge to separate as bread was thinly sliced to begin with. I appreciate the details to the silverware from the restaurant. Nice touch! I ordered steak salad and forgot to ask for dressing on the side, so the salad was drenched with the dressing. Otherwise, salad was tasteful. Collard greens were amazing! Huge portion for a side dish! My husband had the burger and it was delicious and satisfying.

I wanted to give this place 5 stars for the quality of the food and drinks but overall it’s a 4. I like that they combine the butcher shop and the restaurant in the same place, really nice to see their good quality meat before it’s cooked 😊 The food was amazing, we all enjoyed it and nothing to complain about. I definitely have to come back for the burger. I ordered steak and my friend ordered burger. It looked so so good. The staff was nice but there is only one thing with our server when she brought the wine out, she was confused between natural and organic. When my friend tried to explain to her and she turned around and left her. There was also someone vomited outside the restaurant and near the entrance door but they didn’t do anything about it. They could have done better.

Came here expecting the best burger ever and was let down. Our first experience was the service when we felt like it was a burden to just arrive and be given a table. We ordered the burger, salad some appetizers and desert. The burger did have some amazing flavor but the flavor was off somehow but still good. The burger bun really threw the texture off. The Caesar salad was just not good. I took one bite and didn’t finish. The bread and butter plate and bread that was just average and it was soaked in oil. The strawberry panna cotta was tasty albeit a little dense. Lastly there is a service charge if 15%. It says on their website that this goes as a few to pay for healthcare and living wages but when I asked an employee about this she scoffed at me and had no idea what I was talking about. Also confusing because this isn’t a tip but I think I treated it like one which means I may have under tipped.

This review is for the butcher shop only. For years I've come to Salt & Time for quality beef, whether an Angus NY Strip, bavette, or the take away burger patties to cook at home. All are fantastic. Today, with some as-always top-notch service, I selected three under blade steaks and can't wait to give them a go tonight. The only challenge here is the price (because they source quality local meat) that keeps me from coming more often -- which, for my old-man health reasons, is probably a good thing!

After reading some negative reviews, I was a little hesitant to try Salt and Time. However, my friend and I had a very tasty lunch with great service. We split the bread (with blue cheese butter and marrow butter), ceasar salad, and buffalo chicken sandwich (with beef fat fries). The two butters were really flavorful and went well with the little baguette crostinis. The dressing on the ceasar salad was different than most places which I really enjoyed. Plus, it came with a big anchovy which I am 100% about. Finally, the chicken sandwich was cooked nicely and was a good bread to meat/filling ratio. The fries had a solid beef flavor and a good amount of salt. I don't know that I was the biggest fan of their housemade ketchup, but that was such a minor element to an overall delicious meal. Finally, our server Anna was very attentive and helpful. She handled our substitutions with politeness and explained the purpose of the service fee very well. I look forward to coming back and trying more items.

Had the steak salad and I was in heaven eating it. The quality of the hangar steak plus being cooked to perfection was a delight. Also had a few old fashions which didn’t disappoint. Staff was great and ambiance was in point. Will be returning soon.

Y’all, Murray’s Tavern stole our hearts from the first sip of Guinness. The vibes are immaculate and the bartenders are fantastic. Noble & Criss made us feel like family immediately. They were so attentive and poured the perfect pints, of course. We love Murray’s so much we are going there on our anniversary. I highly recommend sitting at the bar! We discovered Murray's Tavern on a Reddit thread when we were searching for the best Reuben in Austin. Noble and Hailey took such great care of us, and the weather was amazing on the spacious tree-shaded patio. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the savory French onion soup to the Caesar salad with anchovies to the burger to the aforementioned Reuben. The ice cream profiteroles were scrumptious, and the creamy cheesecake was even better. Will be back to try Grandma's goulash and the fish and chips.

First time in since Gourmonds closed. Very mixed experience. We were completely wowed by the rebuild. Ambience is fantastic. Staff very nice. Started off strong with a decent artichoke dip and very good French onion soup (pictured). Cesar salad very nice. But it went down hill from there. Fish and chips, burger and seared salmon all kinda fell flat. Fried fish was mushy. Chips pretty run of the mill (steak fries would be better). Seared salmon was fine but not much flavor and the creamed spinach it was served on is literally the artichoke dip. Burger buns were burnt, not cooked as described, average flavor. All these were lunch specials for $25 which for that steep price the cook should have toasted new buns at the very least. One observation aside from the food is that it’s weird to have private liquor lockers that don’t actually lock. What’s the point. Anyways, would certainly pop in for a drink but dollar for dollar the food was not worth it.

We walked in around 330pm wasn't dead, but was not busy. They mixed up the drinks at our table of 3 people, never checked to see about re-ups or water refills the one mixed drink was straight 3 shots of rum, no mixer. My roast beef and cheddar was cold in some spots. I'm not sure what the other members of my table got, but we all spoke about how dissatisfied we were and how glad we didnt spend 50$ on a prime rib here since it would have been a waste. We originally came for prime rib but they didn't serve it until after 4pm. At the end when I asked for the check the waiter asked how everything was, I said "it was alright" to which he replied "alright is good" and walked off. Didn't tip. Won't be back.

Finally had Franklin Barbecue, and it’s officially taken the #1 spot in my BBQ rankings! After years of reading about and watching Aaron Franklin’s techniques, I made it a priority to stop by during a Texas trip, and it did NOT disappoint. The brisket is the star of the show—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The bark was absolutely perfect, delivering that smoky, caramelized crust I’d dreamed about. It’s everything you’d expect from Franklin’s mastery and more. The surprise standout was the jalapeño cheddar sausage, which took second place among the meats. I’m not even a huge sausage fan, but the gooey, cheesy goodness that oozed out with every slice was unreal—pure deliciousness! The turkey, pulled pork, and pork ribs were all fantastic, tying for third. Each one is absolutely worth ordering, showcasing the incredible range of Franklin’s craft. I only tried the potato salad as a side, which was solid but not the best I’ve ever had—still a great complement to the meats. I grabbed two pies to go, and I’ll update this review once I dig into those. For now, Franklin Barbecue is a must-visit for any BBQ lover. The hype is real, and it’s worth the wait!

Great experience! Came for an early Tuesday lunch and only had a short 15 minute wait. The brisket was the best I’ve ever had, so moist and delicious, even the lean cuts. The coleslaw was fine, nothing too fancy, but the brisket stole the show. Absolutely worth the trip, I’ll definitely be coming back.

We came all the way from Florida to try this BBQ. Waited in line for almost 2 hours and it was worth the wait. The meat was all incredible. The sauces are delicious. The beans and slaw were great. The potato salad was not my favorite but it wasn’t bad. The atmosphere and service was really great. I highly recommend giving this a try. Get there EARLY! They ran out of some stuff while we were in line but the brisket alone made it all worth it.

The best brisket you are going to have probably in your whole life, Franklin BBQ is second to none. The consistency of the meat, the portion size, the service and the experience of waiting in line just to have a slice of this magnificent food makes it a must do experience in Austin. I don't think it's that wise to arrive very early... However you can go at around 10 and wait in line for about an hour and still get some brisket. (We went on Saturday). Everything about this place is great! Don't miss it.

We went Wednesday morning to wait in line & of course the food was worth it. The brisket was well seasoned & moist even with flat cut. The ribs were fall off the bone & tender to the bite while the jalapeño cheddar sausage really sealed the deal with its snapping sound & running juices from every bite. The inside area is really clean & organized so when get your food & drinks you have easy access to the utensils & bbq sauce area. Not my first time here but definitely not my last.

Let me start with the star of the show—the brisket. It's truly a melt-in-your-mouth delight, incredibly juicy and full of flavor. While the meat near the skin can be a bit chewy, it’s so well seasoned that it’s delicious even on its own—no sauce needed! Then there are the pork ribs, which are nothing short of spectacular; they fall right off the bone with the slightest tug and are perfectly seasoned, making them a highlight of my meal. Now, about the sausage—it was the only disappointment. It had a chewy texture, and the flavor was lacking. The skin was tough, making it less enjoyable. However, I can confidently say that the brisket and ribs more than make up for this minor letdown. As for the service, the staff were incredibly friendly and upbeat, each one eager to share their knowledge about the menu. I did notice that they seemed a bit overwhelmed with the crowd, and perhaps adding another cashier or meat cutter would speed things up since the line was fairly long. We showed up an hour early to our reservation on accident and the host sat us anyways and was so nice to us! They surprised us with an anniversary card and rose petals on the table. Our server even got us black napkins to match our outfit so we wouldn’t get white fluff from the white napkins on our dresses. We felt like royalty the whole dining experience. We had a three course meal and everything was a 10/10 I’m very honest when it comes to the food but everything we got had flavor and the prime rib melted in my mouth! They made our anniversary extra special. And the live music brought a nice ambience. They gave us an off menu baked Alaska for dessert special for our anniversary. Definitely coming back for special occasions!

The seafood tower was very fresh, the shrimp cocktail was really good, my seabass entree was delicious, as well as the rest of the food. Also, valet is the way to go if you do not want to worry about parking! Thank you Chef Alejandro for taking great care of my group. Looking forward to returning soon!

Truluck’s was the perfect spot to celebrate our anniversary. The staff went out of their way to make the night feel special with added touches such as a card with handwritten signatures and a delicious complimentary dessert. The food was excellent and the new location and decor is Beautiful!

Great atmosphere and service, the best part of our dinner was the lobster bisque!!! Hands down one of the best ever. my husband and I both had the redfish ponchotrain and we're a little disappointed. The fish seemed overcooked and the rice that it comes with was not the best a little dry, but my son got the ribeye and he thought it was cooked perfect and we had creamed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes as our sides and they were yummy. The Grey Goose martinis with homemade stuffed blue cheese olives were perfect and we had a very nice bottle of wine.

First time coming here last night and wow how I wish I’ve known about this place before. Food and drinks were delicious. Service was amazing. Such a beautiful place. We will be back again soon!! My new favorite restaurant in Austin TX.

I can be kind of picky. I had not one single complaint about this meal! It was absolutely lovely from the appetizers to the salads to the desserts! The entrée, I had the lobster thermador, was fully devoured!

Bartender told me "good luck" when asking about service at the bar. I sat at a table instead. Food was very good. Very affordable so the value is there. I had the enchilada and steak plate with a sampling of the XX chili for dinner. The enchiladas were great. The steak wasn't the highest quality but it was seasoned and cooked well. The chili had large chunks of what seemed like chuck. Everything was very good. I went back for lunch and had the two taco plate and the cheese enchilada plate (they were that good the night before). The salsa with the chips and salsa was great. I could drink it. The taco shells would have been better if they had been heated up in an oven or something. The taco meat filling was really tasty. The enchilada plate was fantastic with the ranchero sauce. Service at the table was great both times.

You ever walk into a smallish looking dingy dungeon with glowing red lights? That's the ambience of the TCP and it's awesome. You walk into a different world of vintage signs, with a classic looking little bar on your left where you know the regulars sit daily. You're escorted to a table that's jammed among other tables in a rustic setting. And I absolutely love the vibe. The service is amazing and the atmosphere is to match. $25 ribeye steak with potato and salad is the perfect meal for a great price. The chili is spicy as is the waitresses. I would recommend using a bathroom before going into The TCP as you have to duck into the men's washroom through a 20 inch door and avoid the sink at the same time. The washroom is the size of a small closet. But that also adds to the vibe. We had amazing service with Crystal who threw in a couple bumper stickers and that was appreciated. Would definitely eat here again

This was on the list of things to do in Austin so when we went there I did not expect to be comforted by a mentally ill man sitting outside the restaurant as I walked in..This man stood in front of my wife blocking the entrance and then came in and spoke to us while we were seated. Not one word was said to this guy by anyone at this establishment!!! The food was okay but I like my Chili with more seasoning. The service was good because our server was real nice. I can say I went 👍🏾

If you’re going to Austin, you definitely have to consider visiting this place. Like in every downtown, parking is tricky, but it’s worth it. The place has very Texan-style decor, the food is good, but the service from the waitresses is really bad—no interest in providing good service.

Texas Chili Parlor is an iconic place to visit. It's famous for its chili, and they offer many different combos and sizes. The prices are reasonable, and the Tex-Mex dishes are also delicious. I had the sausage chili, which was yummy, although it was a bit salty.

Great time at the Chili Parlor! Start with the Taster appi. Then had the steak and enchilada special. Steak was ok, enchilada rice and chili star in this show. If you’re hungry it’s awesome! Good experience altogether.

6 adults (ages 38-50) visiting from Florida walked in mid afternoon on a Saturday. Place was about half full, decent lunch crowd and lots of open tables. Bartender informed us to seat ourselves. Found two 4-top tables next to bar and proceeded to slide them together so we could sit together (and, seat ourselves). As the tables were almost slid together an older white man who I am assuming owns the place came and aggressively pulls the tables apart rudely saying “I don’t come to your house and start moving furniture around” and mentions we can’t put tables together because of fire code. No, there would’ve been absolutely no obstruction of path to an exit. We don’t run a business or sell a service from our house. We weren’t drunk. We weren’t unruly college students who I am sure they deal with all the time. Just pulling tables together like I’ve seen done in thousands of restaurants. Zero hospitality whatsoever. Menu looked good, too, but I wasn’t about to give that man one dime so my wife and I had waters while others had a drink or two before we went to spend our money elsewhere. This experience motivated me to write my first ever negative online review and that’s saying something. My career is in hospitality, too, so I am more than empathetic to what restaurant owners have to manage and the stress that comes with it. Hospitality industry isn’t for everyone.

Amazing restaurant. I loved the cute pig decorations. The service was attentive but also let us take our time. Our sever ( I wish I remembered his name, was working July 30 8 pm) was the best server I’ve ever had. He explained the menu in extreme detail and was a very wholesome person. The food was some of the best we’ve had and I don’t say that lightly. We got the honey fried chicken, bone marrow, and beef shoulder. We hope to be back soon.

We ordered an array of items. The drinks were standard nothing special. The best thing we ordered was the Slow Cooked Beef Shoulder. Wow the flavor was phenomenal. The smoked salmon was really good but the presentation wasn’t what I thoughts I was expecting a sandwich with soft bread and it was more like a charcuterie. The wedge salad was mediocre. The fried chicken was ok. Not as tasty as what was at tumble 22 pre sale of the restaurant. A little dry biscuits weren’t great I imagined yummy biscuits like Mattie’s green pasture but was disappointed.

Holy cow, I cannot say enough great things about this place. We had the chicken bites, pork belly, beef shoulder, and chocolate truffle cake. We were looking forward to special of burnt ends on the menu, but we got in too late. They went out of their way to accommodate us with a special pork belly in the burnt ends sauce and man did we appreciate it because the pork belly was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was so incredible, we had to eat in complete silence!! Our server was also wonderful and very knowledgeable. Such a perfect experience. I was visiting from Dallas and will be coming back just for this!!

They open at 4.30p. I was trying to come earlier but so much traffic slowed me down!! Luckily they had a community table the lady let me know when I called. I could tell it sounded like a full house and maps said that there was no tables!! Luckily it was just me so it all worked out!! The food is very good. I hope the salt is just in the name does not mean the food is extra salty haha jk!!! But it was very good!! The duck fat fries with an egg I've never had!! I normally don't eat lots of chicken the honey rosemary was very very good!! Highly recommended coming here!! Heads up there's a place i never knew in the morning here at the same location so the menu got intermixed somehow!!

The drinks were great, and their duck fat fries are amazing. I will come back again and again just for those two reasons. The food was hit or miss. I ordered the black fish, and the fish had good flavor but it was overcooked and I wasn’t a fan of the sauce. A friend ordered their hamburger and it was also overcooked. Another friend ordered their fried chicken and that was amazing. Overall, I’d go back, maybe just a bad day for the burgers and fish.

I enjoy stopping here time to time to indulge in a lil larry. The lil larry was perfection as per usual. Today I ventured out and tried the new bacon rib and their broccolini. I love their brussel sprouts but was feeling adventurous. Oh my goodness the cheese blend on the broccolini is perfection!! I love it. The bacon rib is a fatty version of a pork rib. The bacon part didn't fully come through to me however its a nice pork meat with a smokey and pepper flavor. Its well complimented with pickles and onions. This is my spot although sometimes challenging to get in without a reservation. Of course I'll return lil larry is my boyfriend lol. Don't be fooled by the faux lil larry on other menus. Nice for dates or family outings. Im solo so that's also welcome here. The service is always on point and I love a spot that has delicious food as well as delicious and potent adult beverages.

Salty Sow used to be a restaurant that I could consistently count on for excellent food and service, but after finding a hair woven through the truffled filling of my deviled egg on my last visit, I’d have a hard time going back. As anyone reading this knows, if you find something nasty in your food, it leads you to wonder what else might’ve potentially been in your food that you didn’t see. That said, I was not particularly appeased by the flippant manner with which Nick, the manager on duty, handled my complaint. He simply apologized and took the charge for the eggs off the bill. As a manager myself, I know that if you value someone’s business, you certainly do more than that for your customer after ruining their meal.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Stella Sam Jac Austin, and I can’t speak highly enough about my experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and accommodated every request with a genuine smile. The service was top-notch, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. As for the food, it was absolutely delightful. Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and you could tell that a lot of thought and care went into each preparation. Whether you’re a fan of bold flavors or more subtle tastes, there’s something for everyone on the menu. It’s clear that this restaurant takes pride in offering a memorable dining experience not just through their excellent service, but through the quality of their food as well. Wow! This place just exceeded all of my expectations. The food tasted amazing and was plated with care. Service was prompt and professional. Inside had some nice chill vibes. Definitely would go back.

We made reservations for brunch, but we arrived 25 minutes late on a morning that they were extremely busy. The hostess told us it wasn’t a problem and sat us. Our server, Logan was phenomenal! We loved everything, but appreciated the top notch service most of all!

To say Stella San Jac is an awesome destination for brunch would be a gross understatement. The food and service are top notch. Service was on point and never waned for even a second. Food was hot, flavorful and hit in every bite. Mimosas and the Bloody Mary are epic. Make certain to get a reservation as Stella San Jac tends to be full at peak brunch hours. The vibe inside is typical Austin brunch: quite loud. The decor is interesting. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. It looks like IKEA met a hotel (it sort of did though) and included a modern cigar lounge in for a throuple situation. Don’t get me wrong, it looks good. Service is impeccable.

Literally the best. Get the chicken and waffle. Our server, Yndira….. simply incredible and very pleasant. You won’t be disappointed. Even management was very welcoming. Loved it.

My friends and I were visiting Austin and stopped by Stella San Jac for brunch—everything was amazing! I came in right before close but the short rib sandwich was good but the fries were not cooked so limp and mushy. The chicken and waffles are good just pretty 🌶️ spicy. Good flavor to them.

We’ve been in for drinks before but tonight had time to try out the food. I have friends who rave about them and I finally get it. The kitchen staff are all super cool & make it fun. I liked watching them mess with the tourists. lol. These are the biggest and best quality burgers I’ve had in years. The bread is fresh, burgers cooked perfectly, and toppings are great. We loved the sweet potato waffle fries with Parm on top! The basket was huge and more than enough to share for 2-3 people. We sat in the back patio & it was a nice little oasis where you didn’t feel like you were in the middle of the city. Can’t wait to go back!

Remember to Tip. Even if your order is to-go. It's worth it. The burger is the truth!! I got the Chicago burger!! The simplicity and quality!! Pattie done well and proper, crispy and juicy too. You can cut the burger into twice and it will hold, that says a lot. Absolutely no unnecessary sauce, still tastes heavenly. Also, I got the wings too and honestly. This is the best Buffalo wings I've had!! The simplicity too. No unnecessary breading, the buffalo sauce remains the best I've had! Only regret was not tipping proper!! Will surely make up for it next time I'm in town. It's an easy 9.7/10

We were visiting for a reunion and this was our 'Hair of the Dog' lunch location. We came to the door and noticed a small pup on a leash inside, and since we had a service dog in our party asked if they could get the owner to contain it while we went by. The bouncer helped us immediately and we trooped in to an upstairs location. Even though it was an off time it was slammed and the music was hopping. Pool tables had games running and the kitchen window had a line. A bartender suggested we try the outside patio for a quieter place to nurse our hangovers and wait for food. We set up several patio tables outside and proceeded to enjoy our cold drinks and a quieter environment. The decorations outside definitely didn't match the interior dive bar vibes but both seemed to flow oddly enough. The only suggestions we would have would be to lower music volume a little longer for food orders being called (it was hard to catch names) and add some misting fans outside. Thanks for treating us to some amazing burgers and brews! It was a treat!

The quality of this burger is unrivaled. The beef itself tastes so fresh and delicious that the toppings are a just a side note, although still equally fresh and delicious! This was my first time back in years and I was so pleasantly surprised that nothing had changed! 🙌 Still delicious, still badass, still authentic Austin. Love this place.

Casino El Camino is an Austin Legend. Right on 6th Street in the heart of everything — but far enough down that you can actually get parking. Huge win. The vibe? A heavy-metal, dimly lit, Austin-weird kind of bar. Totally unique atmosphere. Don’t let it fool you though — the FOOD is what makes this place world-class. The Spicy Burger is unforgettable. Juicy, bold, dripping with flavor. One of the best burgers on planet earth. The Spicy Fries with tomatillo sauce? Beyond belief. You’ll want to lick your fingers clean and order them again and again. My friend flew in all the way from London, and the FIRST spot he wanted to hit was Casino El Camino. We had gone here during my wedding celebration years ago, and he remembered it so vividly that it was top of his list. We ended up coming TWICE during his short stay because it was just that amazing. This place never misses. Burgers = Epic Win. Fries = Game Changer. Atmosphere = One of a Kind. Always a 5 Star Experience

Love it here! Vibe is awesome, they play old crazy movies and music is great. Their food is incredible, love the burgers Great low key spot on 6th compared to everything else around!

The steak I had was incredible. The drinks were ok when we were able to get them. Seemed like everything was taking a while. They weren't too busy for a Wednesday so we kind of expected better service, but idk, that was my first experience there. My biggest complaint was the Cole Slaw... I am a big fan of it, especially if it's made there so I was really excited to try it. However, mine had no slaw... Overall not a bad experience.

My wife and I decided to try out the Cedar Door Patio Bar & Grill during our 3 night stay in Austin. We are staying at a hotel just around the corner (I'm writing this from our hotel room waiting to go back to the Cedar Door this evening!) so wanted somewhere close to unwind and boy were we glad we chose the Cedar Door!! This place is quite simply stunning. The biggest compliment I can give should go to the staff, who were all incredible, making us feel so welcome, which businesses in our home town in the UK should take note of! We were treated like family whilst eating and drinking here which is something very rare, so needs to be commended. As for the quality of the food, it was absolutely outstanding and I am a very hard guy to please when eating out, so for me to use "outstanding" believe me, it really is in my opinion. The location is great, the atmosphere is great, the food is great and the staff are great. What more could anyone wish for when out for food and drinks? Thank you to everyone at the Cedar Door, you're doing a great job :-)

I got seated very quickly and had the bbq brisket sandwich. Food was great and I liked the patio area. Even though the staff was nice they did take a little bit long to refill water and did not come by often to see if I needed anything else. I wanted to order another beer but no one came around. Food was good though so I can’t complain too much.

Tried their buffalo shrimp tacos and it was ok. The tacos got more sour the more I ate it, was hard to finish. The strawberry limeade was ok too. I liked the vibe of the place, was actually heading elsewhere but decided to leave that and drop in here for lunch instead when I was walking past. Upbeat music, mix of oldies 80s with current pop songs. Slow service. Big screen sports. Overall food was better than average, just not wow. I was able to get a table quickly, but the service was slow beyond that. It took a while for the food to come out and the waitress only appeared a couple of times. No refills as she didn't come back, but that's OK. The prices were OK. They were high $$$ on certain items. The quality of the food wasn't bad, but it was a little bland. The atmosphere was nice. It's a bar with a modern look to it. They were also great at accommodating a seafood allergy.

Coming from California, this was my first time trying this restaurant here in Austin — and wow, it did not disappoint! Hands down, the fries were crispy and delicious, setting the tone for the whole meal. I ordered the brisket sandwich, and let me tell you — it didn’t miss a beat. Juicy brisket, perfectly sauced, with melted cheese layered just right. The size was perfect — filling, but not over the top. Drinks were priced well, and so was the food overall. This place is a win across the board. I’ll definitely be back again!

I was super excited to come try this place. We started w/the oysters and the fried deviled eggs.They were okay. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich and he said it was okay, but not the best he’s had. My daughter ordered the Chicken Caesar salad and really enjoyed it. Her boyfriend ordered the chicken fried steak and l loved it. I had the chicken tenders and waffles. Personally for me the chicken lacked flavor and the waffles were pretty hard and dry, despite a beautiful presentation. We also ordered the S’Mores pie and banana pudding. The chocolate s’mores was way too sweet and rich for my taste, but my daughter and her boyfriend liked it. My hubby and I shared the banana pudding, it looked amazing and delicious, but it had no sweet taste at all. So one was too sweet and one lacked flavor. The overall atmosphere is nostalgic and tucked away from the busy street. Our server was excellent.

If you are ever in south Austin, stop in and eat at Lucy's Fried Chicken. It has a laid-back atmosphere and delicious food. We tried the deep-fried deviled eggs, chicken and waffles, and the drunk catfish sandwich. All were excellent choices. The catfish filet on the sandwich was enough for two sandwiches. It was seasoned perfectly and fried crisp. Chicken and waffles were a hit with delicious tenders and two great-tasting waffles with honey butter.

Multiple items on the menu are amazing. I’ve come here a bunch of times before, but never left a review. Today I ordered the Kinky Club and I absolutely loved it. It’s a large sandwich with a side of kettle chips, which I switched for fries. I could only eat about half of the food, but I’m looking forward to finishing it up tomorrow for lunch.

This was our first timehere and Lucy's did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken and waffles and they were delicious. The waffles were the perfect amount of chewy and crunchy. The chicken was very flavorful. My other only wish is that I had some real maple syrup to go along with this culinary delight. Instead I received a packet of syrup sauce. I ate my waffles dry after my first bite with the sauce was disappointing. Still the meal was good. The cocktails were great and the service was awesome.

Order -Bucket of Chicken (3 out of 5) - chicken sandwich ( 5 out of 5) - onion rings ( 3 out 5 ) salty - fries (4 out 5) - cornbread ( 4.5 out 5) Service was good only the server dropped tea on me and did not apologize but besides that it was good. The bathroom was discussing pee everywhere and was nasty, making me want to throw up after eating there. The restaurant outside smells bad and needs to be cleaned, I guess for Austin is ok standards-wise, would I go back probably not. Even though they had a good pecan pie.

We've been regulars at Lucy's for years now, it has never disappointed. If anything, it has gotten better. First of all, the chicken is phenomenal. The crust is just the right amount of crispy. We always get a bucket even if it is just the two of us. Cold or warmed up leftovers is just fine for us. We are true aficionados of the finest fried chicken. Now, that is just the beginning. Where Lucy's truly excels is in the side offerings. Of course they have a wonderful fried okra, but it's even better when it is paired with the coleslaw. Lastly, if you have any room left for dessert? Just do it. Remember, you can always take it home if you can't finish. Either way, you win!

Lucy’s catering did a phenomenal job at our October 2024 wedding!!! They handled all the setup and breakdown and did everything perfectly and with efficiency. Not to mention they are very competitively priced versus other full service caterers in the Austin area. Cristina was so sweet and easy to work with leading up to our day! She was extremely communicative and patient even when I had a million questions/ menu changes. Most importantly - the food was absolutely spectacular. People still make a point to tell us how amazing the food was and multiple professional chefs who were our guests told me it was “the best wedding food they’ve ever had.” The grilled vegetables were a stand out as well! My husband and I are both foodies but still wanted to honor our Texas roots at our wedding. They helped us craft a menu that was both upscale and true to us. Going to oyster bars and attending oyster tastings was a big part of our dating life and we really wanted to incorporate that at our wedding - which is ultimately why we went with Lucy’s. We had the raw oyster bar for cocktail hour and our guests adored it and we also heard multiple compliments about the shucker on staff. 10/10 highly recommend Lucy’s for your wedding or event!

Wonderful food, have been coming here for years from time to time. Been a while however, since I don't live close to Austin anymore. I think it's kind of sad that they don't include a small basket of biscuits & corn muffins as complimentary table service, I suppose they would blame inflation. It hits us all, but these items are very cheap to produce. I would not let this stop me from going... it's just sad to see the little customer service perks go by the wayside. Meatloaf is marvelous, The greens (with cornbread) are my favorite plus the okra & tomatoes!! Also had peach cobbler pie to take home & it was wonderful. To go containers happily provided- plenty of food for 2 meals for me, at least.

Stopped in and had some honest food. There was no wait and the staff was pleasant. From the website. I really wanted to love this place. It was my first time visiting Hoover's Cooking, and it was a special occasion—my father had flown in for his birthday. My sister picked the restaurant because she thought the family-owned feel would remind him of his favorite eatery back home. There were 12 of us, and we were able to reserve the private room, not the main dining area. On the positive side, it was easy to book the private room in person, and it was the perfect space for our gathering. They even let us decorate it, which was a nice touch. Mr. Hoover himself and the host (an older gentleman) were both incredibly kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. I would strongly recommend avoiding the restrooms. The food, which is the most important part, was a huge disappointment. My fish was beyond bland—ketchup only got me a third of the way through it. My father's fried chicken was flavorless, and my mother's yams and coleslaw weren't even edible. My little niece wouldn't touch her grilled cheese. I could go on, but let's just say it was our first and last time dining there. Adding to the poor experience, our two wait staff never smiled once and seemed truly unhappy to perform their duties of taking orders and bringing refills. I really wish we had a better experience because Mr. Hoover was a cool guy, and I am a strong supporter of black-owned businesses. In that spirit, I'd say try it for yourself; maybe our experience was an off night.

It has been a few years since I’ve had dinner at Hoovers, and I’m so glad I returned. The food is as delicious as always, with generous portions. Our server was super-friendly, and helpful. Plus, the prices are still very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I’ll be back again soon.

Whenever I am in Austin I try to make it here. Seating was a little slow today but it was okay. The food portions was great as always. The taste was a little under seasoned but not enough to have to add salt and pepper 🤷🏾‍♀️. I will still return and recommend to others.

First time trying Hoover's. Had a great meal. The staff was friendly and the food looked amazing. Thw creamed spinach was the best side I tried. The Jerk chicken sauce had a nice zing. I would reccommend giving Hoover's a try.
